My experience:
I used to be 30/30/40 player (Solo/SWF/Killer) but since weeks it is more 20/10/70. I enjoy killer a lot recently and i am a little bored and burned out playing survivor.
During the time period of a month i have no idea how many hundred rounds i played but across my killers it was about 11-12 prestige 50 level ups. If someone wants to do the math, go for it.
Mostly i played Knight, Wesker and Trapper and a couple of Nurse, Demo and Wraith in between.
So far i lost 2 matches. Yes, two matches including Trapper and Knight, both lost by playing Wesker. On top of that, most matches were total stomps with 3/4/5 gens up. From my perspective, survivors dont even stand a chance, no matter if they have 8000 hours or 1500 hours, no matter if SWF or solo. Its always the same with some extremly rare exceptions.
I mained killer at a time where it was REALLY hard compared to this Kindergarten we have right now, and probably because of that i am used to strong survivors having the upper hand in general, which is not the case anymore. I learned from the best and i still do and stoped blaimed the game that it is impossible to win. If Otzdarva can do 50 wins with the Trapper (who has not much comp experience), i can do it aswell.
This sounds probably very arrogant but i promise it is not ment that way. Try to get better instead of moaning about how unballanced the game is (by the way in pub games, killer have the by far higher winrate). There are plenty of ways to get better, choose every single one of them you can find. You will become very strong if you trust that you can win every single round if you just play better. Analyse your mistakes after every round. It helps to record your games, you will realise so many mistakes.

More then anything concerning Freddy i would love to see (and hear) an Ultimate Robert Englund as the Krueger skin. Sad we probably wont ever get this treat.

@xEa there's no way he can be considered a top 4 killer. S+ is Nurse. S is Blight, Wesker, Spirit and Oni. A Tier is killers are like Huntress, Artist, Dredge and Pyramid Head.
Would you say Chucky is even on par with any of them?
I'm very curious to know who these players are that say he is S/A tier
Who are those players that think he is S or A tier?
Otzdarva for example? Or Hens? I dont know... you might be the only person on the Internet who thinks Chucky is not at least A tier. Pick any random DBD content creator or talk to strong comp players if you want, i bet nobody puts Chucky lower then A tier. At least I have not seen any list where Chucky is below A. But of course i dont know every opinion in the world about a certaint DBD Killer.

Because the ability to self heal is one of the strongest abilities a survivor has available. It removes entirely any pressure a killer if for any reason they decide it's not worth keep chasing, because 24 seconds is literally nothing (unlike some people like to say), sometimes 'forcing' the killer to commit to an unfavorable chase or paying the price of losing all that time. Being able to do it twice just because someone brought an item with some add-ons is just busted.
Saying medkits are only good to heal others is just plainly wrong, there's not even a debate about it.
Every other self healing way has, justifiably, stricter conditions: self-care needs at least botany to be worth it, inner healing requires cleansing a totem and getting inside a locker for 12 seconds, so we have a base time of 26 seconds + all the time to find the totem and to get in a locker, which are heavily rng but in the end require 30+ seconds.
Medkits can give you two free health states in 24 each, and that's not ok. Even with add-ons they shouldn't be able to give so much value without at least spending a perk for it, so the only solution I see is nerfing those add-ons that give multiple charges
We can talk about butchering medkits even more after every killer addon is nerfed aswell.
-
It appear to be that the Chucky flick was not intended and fixed very quickly.
Your main Oni for example is out now for years and i doubt if the flick would not be part of his intended gameplay, they would have changed that by now. So i dont think you need to worry at all.

I will eat my mouse and keyboard live on stream, and you can quote me on that, if BHVR actually nerfs SB and Lithe, but especially in the light of the current meta and their "unbearable pressure" on the killers population.
If you come up with a more realistic task in case that happens (and it will), i would actually quote you on that.😉 Lithe, SB, Distortion, WoO and i also Resilience are most likely going to get nerfed rather sooner then later.
I add even another one, and you can quote me on that aswell:
Killer mains will compain very soon about Deja-Vu. "Its the new prove thyself but much stronger" "Now that 3gen is fixed, nerf Deja-Vu"

You know, I could create a new account and do the same thing from a survivor's perspective, right?
See how many people here actually agree with OP. So far there don't seem to be any. Even killer mains defend these 2 perks.
Like i said, we had those situations already before multible times. One starts, a few are going to join, many will follow and BHVR will react.

Strange, there are more "I called it" posts than there are agreeing with OP (unless I missed one, I don't see any.) In fact there are multiple saying killer side doesn't agree with this guy. Also OP only has 3 upvotes at the time of this post.
SB and Lithe aren't a problem, and most people agree with that.
Just wait. This is just the beginning. There has something to be found why some killers cant 4K every round.
I call it now, SB Lithe and Distortion are all getting nerfed after countless killers are complaining and the next cryout will be WoO, Adrenaline and For the People.
Its always the same. Like overall ballance for example. In the past, killer wanted "ballance", now they want "power role ballance". Lets see how long it takes 60% winrate is considered "ballanced". 🤣
-
I did a half ment joke that SB, Distortion and Lithe will be the next perks killers are going to complain after the recent nerfs, and it is really happening! ALREADY!
I really cant do this anymore, its just to ridiculous. Comedy gold, but mindcrushing at the same time.

I really don't understand why people try to tell others how they have to play a game. Why would anybody need "excuses" and "justify" how they played? They play how they want. Just like the other side play and use what they want. Sure, getting tunneled is not a big fun for most of the people. But killers also can tell many things what are not fun for them. But people will still do it.
Why would a killer want, or should want to make the trial harder for themself? Like... Survivors wouldn't finish gens as fast as they can to get out? How it is different?
And... Seriously get good? Killers can say the same. Get good, and you will be not on the hook, or get caught again. Just get good, and use more 2nd chance perks. I hope that you see why this is not a real argument there.
Where did i say "dont play like that", i only say that i would not do it and those are good reasons not to tunnel. Or would you disagree? The question was good reasons not to tunnel, i gave 2 reasons.
Not ruining the others person game/time plus actually getting good in the game is for me far more worth then playing selfish. Think what you want about that, but bottom line is, it tells a lot about personality.
And yes, before someone asks, i condemn selfish behavior. You dont care? Good, proves my point 😉

But I’m goin back. xD
May i ask what motivates you to play overpowered addons on an already extremly strong killer? If i remember correctly, Blight is your main and you are like devotion 40. Whats the point?

Hex: Huntress Lullaby might explain why your friend wont hear skillchecks.
Getting better with skillchecks is best done by playing the game. As a starter it is not uncommon to fail normal skillchecks, but you will learn quickly. It is all muscle memory and comes over time. There is no special talent needed, you will get there after a while.
A good way to practice besides just playing regularly is to host a custom game. One of you plays the killer, the other one is repairing the gens. I would reccommend using a toolbox, since you get more skillchecks. You can also introduce your friend to the game that way.
To have a better start as a beginner, i would play Feng Min. Her perk Technician suppresses the explosion when failing a skillcheck.
You can also hit two birds with one stone by using Corrective Action. You gain tokens for every great skillcheck you hit. If someone, lets say your friend is on you generator and is failing a skillcheck, it becomes a normal skillcheck instead.

Bloodlust is one of the reasons MfT was too strong. After 7 years, maps are still broken and many killers without strong chase powers have no option other than running after the survivor and building up BL to get a hit. If something like this is necessary, then how can a free 3% permanent speed boost be fine?
Other movement speed perks on the killer side are either easily avoidable, only active for a short time or need considerable effort to do something. PWYF is a perfect example for a perk with an overpowered effect that is still weak because the requirements are so harsh. 1 stack isn't worth much on most killers (one easier hit at best) and it still requires the killer to find and chase the obsession as well as drop the chase. That takes a lot of time. MfT on the other hand, activates for no effort whatsoever on your side and stays active permanently until you decide to deactivate it by healing.
What do you think about Coup? You get Coup for free / failing like MFT does. MFT was limited to 1 health state while Coup gives you 10 downs max which is more then you need in all your chases.
Dont get me wrong, i disliked the power of MFT (to strong) and therefore almost never used it, but Coup is basically the same for the other side.
-
There are 2 more excellent reason why i would never tunnel:
- Treating other people like you would like to be treaten. Nobody enjoys getting proxycamped and tunneled off the hook, so i dont do that. A mindblowing concept for some, i know. There is lack of empathy in those who dont care about other people, especially in a video game/internet. Here you can always see the true color of people. In RL they might be nice, but mainly because of consiquences. Be an ahole in a game wont have any consiquences at all so they can be as terrible as possible. "But other people genrush and tbag me all the time" does not excuse anything. It only makes the other side aweful aswell, but not you as a tunneling killer any better.
- GET GOOD. Yeah right, imagine the only reason you win as a killer is to tunnel and camp. I would not feel like a good player, i would rather feel like relying on cheap tricks. Top tier killer can easily win those games without playing in a discusting way, so why should you stop trying to reach that level? What means winning when abuse super easy tactics? "But they other side genrushs and blablabla..." does not justify that you wont try to get better and become a good killer at all. Excuses wont help either. Do or not do, there is no try. So just simply, get good.

If anything, Chucky is not strong at all. Here's my personal conclusion as to the state of The Good Guy: (Bear in mind that this is from a high-mid level player)
He is borderline reliant on Auras.
He is crippled by Survivors holding forward against him. (Survivors who know how to time their peel away from tiles make it so Chucky needs to just follow in the majority of the chase in order to put them in a position to be able to start mind gaming and having the potential of winning a 50/50)
He has no stealth vs anyone that has good hearing or good headphones.
At most tiles, Scamper is dependent on Slice & Dice to even have a chance of hitting the Survivor. (This paired with being borderline Aura dependent makes his chase nowhere near as good as people think it is)
Being 4.4m/s makes it so Chucky pretty much needs to lead with a Basic Attack then follow up with a Slice & Dice. (Otherwise chases just go on for far too long at most tiles)
He cannot juggle pressure because of his 4.4m/s.
He is up there with a few killers that Dead Hard wrecks and is guaranteed to work and waste way too much of their time. The others being Huntress, Pyramid Head, Wraith, Artist, Demogorgon and Hillbilly. (This paired with his speed and reliance on Slice & Dice to have quick chases makes his 1v1 aspect nowhere near the level it needs to be to win good players -- as mentioned before, he has no juggle potential either so his 4v1 is non-existent)
His add-ons have very little appeal outside of about 5 of them -- UR Scamper breaks pallets, R Auras with Slice & Dice, R Speed after a Scamper, UC recovery from successful Slice & Dice, UC cooldown when whiffing Slice & Dice.
For those who like to have a idea where a Killer fits into a Tier List, then in my opinion, he is at the bottom of C Tier.
You serious with bottom of C Tier? That is a very brave hot take considering every pro and top player calls him the 3rd or 4th strongest killer and easily A or S tier.

I mean, if survivor runs away from the killer to a pallet, then they are at the pallet. And that's it. I am not sure what you mean with killers zoning survivors away from pallets when they are already at the pallet.
Also, my experience has been different. I have seen loops and other places where Chuckies Slice and Dice is dodgeable. Again, the 180 degree flick is problematic, but without that, the ability seems very dodgeable to me. It's like Onis dash, which is also dodgeable sometimes.
Same goes for predropping. Especially at certain loops that are big enough, predropping can help in my experience.
When survivor drops the pallet, the killer can vault under it and uses the power. Its similar to Wesker but with the benefit that Chucky is able to attack.
When survivor dont drop the pallet, the killer can zone the survivor away from the pallet and there is no way to get to the next loop or back to it, unless its a very short filler. And short fillers are deadly anway.
The flick gives him the opportunity to hit at probably every loop. I can not confirm everything of course, but so far, it appears to be that way. I think the flick is okay, it gives something to the killer, but S&D should then be changed. If that is no option, i agree, the flick needs to go.
It is one or the other.

I have serious doubts that the game is killed sided at every level of play, considering how fast gens go. At the highest level of play, survivors are still very strong.
Unless you only count Blight and Nurse and a few others, then maybe the game is killer sided.
I try to be unbiased with this opinion and mainly focus on facts and statistics. According to that, Killer has definitly the upper hand in any regard. Some argue that killer should win more often and be the power role, which is subjective.

If you are at a pallet, and Chucky uses his Slice and Dice, you can throw down the pallet and get a stun against him, if you can predict which side he is coming from. This is often a 50:50 mindgame.
There are definitely also tiles where survivors can turn sharp enough to dodge a Slice and Dice, at least when played normally. The 180 degree flick can take some of that counterplay away though, which again is why that should be addressed. They simply need a hard cap so that Chucky can't turn more than 90 degrees during his lunge.
Predropping pallets, at least on some loops, can also be helpful, depending on the form of the loop. In general it can be quite loop dependent whether a survivor has counterplay against Slice and Dice or not.
A non beginner killer will never give you the pallet side. They zone you out and get the hit either while trying to loop the pallet or trying to reach another loop. Normally zoning out of the pallet is not a big deal since against other killer that can reach you in time (Freddy or Clown for example) you predrop the pallet. That does not work tho since you can just ignore that with your S&D.
You 100% can not dodge his attack, the killer is missing. We tried it at many tiles but there is no way.
Predroping, as i said does nothing. Not even shack is safe. It of course depends on the distance, but if you are in range, he can get the hit no matter what.

@ad19970 said:
Disagree. I have been playing as and against him quite a bit, and honestly don't even find him that strong. His map pressure is garbage so he needs to have good chase potential.
I do not see any problem with Slice and Dice, I think it's fine, and definitely has quite a it of counterplay. The 180 degree flick needs to go though. I also think they should increase the scamper time from 1.4 to 1.6 seconds, and decrease the cooldown of Chuckys ability from 18 to 15 or 14 seconds.
You might enlighten us with the "counterplay" please. I mean it.
I hear on the forum so often that there is counterplay to him, but i have not seen anything of that neither did anybody even provided an example. Maybe you are the one.
Cant find anything on youtube either. The only videos i have seen so far with the titel "counter" are all against extremly bad chucky players. Yeah no shoot you can "counter" a killer that plays just really bad and has no idea how his power works.
Played against very strong chuckys that are already min-maxing the character, and believe me. There is not a single loop you can realy do much, no matter if the pallet is droped or not.
But as i said, maybe you have something we don know.

The gameplay aspect, but it does not hurt if a map is also pretty.

The team i am playing with is probably less dangerous then many solo lobbies 😂
We talk a lot about RL stuff during rounds, Totems get cleansed and Chest plundered (i am by far the most sweaty of the team and me complaining about stuff like that is already a running joke at this point).
On the other hand, i can pinpoint the last time i ran into a complete tryhard swat gang. It was in 2018 or 19 on old Ormond when i played Myers. I was inexperienced with killer, especially with Myers and they made me look like a Clown.
It is funny that i remember this ONE game where i got destroyed so hard, but the memoeries of the 1000 wins since then where i stomped survivors are mainly lost in time.

https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/399824/killer-perk-suggestion-not-evil-after-all
How would this do anything? The killers red stain gives you value because it indicates the direction you are looking at, giving the survivor an indicator that you are maybe walking in this direction, unless moonwalking or what not.
However the survivors fov is not bound like that, you can have your red stain look forwards and your pov face backwards... I don't really see what this would do for the killer?
If it is like doctor that the red stain is behind you then what will this do either? Is it supposed to help you track the survivor?
The whole mechanic of the red stain basically only makes sense when it is at the chasers model, because then you as the survivor can react to it in the sense of knowing where to go and what not, the killer however most of the time already knows round about where the survivor is in a specific loop or which way he may or may not run, so I don't really see it's value?
When survivors looking backward, the red stain would appear backside of the survivor. It is the same as the killer red stain.
I came up with this idea during 1v1 sessions vs Doctor. The red glowing gives a significant advantage at high wall loops of any kind, notificating the killer if for example the survivor is camping the pallet and if he is on a droped pallet which side he is currently standing. This does not sound like a lot but i felt it actually was.
Also it is much more easy to follow a survivor. Every killer can confirm that on certaint maps, you loose survivors sometimes out of your vision. This would prevent that. Juking will become close to impossible during chase due to this perk.
Also flashlight or pallet safes are not nearly as easy since the chase prolongs for a bit after technically ending the chase.
-
Currently i dont see them favouring killers, since they are already in favour. It appears they want to stick with the 60% killrate philosphy. I dont like it, but so far it does not look they want to go much further then that.
And yes, MFT got a well deserved nerf, it was simply to powerful for my taste. Upcoming changes for Ultimate Weapon will be good for survivors.
-
It is actually neither of those. I simply use them when i am tired of getting one terrible map after another like Nostromo, Toba Landing, RPD or other indoor maps.
Then i use mostly McMillian, Autohaven, Crotus Prenn or Coldwind Farm. They are equaly ballanced and for both sides enjoyable.
-
Maybe i have not ever played attention but isnt this only visible for the survivor? There is a chance i have played 3 years ago with this specific addon.
The point of the perk would be that the stain is visible for the killer. This could track survivors much better during chase.

As someone who's been playing both sides in the game, the argument for "who the game's in favor of" is kinda ridiculous.
Yes, some killers (and reworks) that came out are pretty strong, but that's coming off of years of killers getting either janky powers or heavy nerfs, half of which are still in play. Yes, a lot of popular survivor perks have been getting nerfs, but it's best not to forget what made them popular in the first place, or those that have been left untouched.
I don't think the game is survivor sided or killer sided, it seems more like the devs are working to balance a game which started with them overcompensating everything. So please, could we not have an argument over who's treated better in the game and talk more about what's good about the game, or at the very least what needs tweaked.
This also comes from someone who plays both sides and on survivor solo and group.
DBD changed from very survivors sided back in 2016 to now killer sided - on all levels of skill. The numbers (K/D ratio, winstreaks and even pro scene) speak a very clear language to the point that killer mains can only justify those facts with "Yea but the killer should be more powerful" statements.
Talking about what is good in the game is a nice thing, and there is plenty of that. But as the devs have already made clear: Critical feedback helps more then praise and only positive feedback.

Trapper, Myers, Clown, Freddy, Wraith, Pig and Legion.
Define high tier killer.
If you mean overpowered like Nurse, here are some (silly) suggestions:
- Trapper starts with all his traps. Iristone and Honingstone basekit.
- Myers can stalk infinitly and distance wont effect him. Once he reached tier 3 it stays permanently. J.Myers Memorial basekit. Enduring at T3 basekit.
- Clown has infinite bottles. After every direct hit he gains 3% movement speed.
- Freddys teleport takes only 2 seconds and he can reverse his teleport 5 seconds after the action. Snares slow down for an extra 2 seconds. Once in Dreamworld, there is no way out of that.
- Wraith has no movementspeed penalty while uncloaking. Cloaked he can see the aura of survivors within 24 meters.
- Pig's dash is 30% faster and has double the range. She can jump over pallets while dashing. Her stealth is 110% movement speed. Wait, thats actually Chucky.
- Legion downs the 2nd survivor they attack with feral frenzy.
-
On killer nothing special besides Naughty Bear on Trapper.
On Survivor either the "comp" outfit or Glittering Gown / White Heels on Claudette, P3 on Ash and on Ace No Sweat Sweater / Sunglow Satin Slipper / Rose-Tinder Glasses.
-
Nostromo is supposed to be good map design? What? Its one, if not the worst designed map, both visually and from gameplay perspective. Clunky walls, so many random objects, bad tiles, horrible main building, bad second building ("shack"). And on top of that, it has two complete dead ends.
The best maps are in my opinion:
- Coal Tower, but also any McMillian besides Shelter Woods.
- Wreckers Yard
- Cowshed, Torment Creek
- Father Campbells Chapel
-
If anything in DBD is a 10/10, its gotta be the chase music. They are ALL so good.
Picking my favourite is not easy, but i say its a tie between those two:

I suspect you must have hours like this! Came across this the other day in my lobby. It's the highest I've ever seen. Here's me just shy of 2 k hours with this player. I didn't dodge though. Stuck with it.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/3HRNOJORW7DZ/20231203205205-1.jpg
Those hours are fake. 333,2 hours within 2 weeks are 23,8 hours a day on average. Guess the player just leaves the game open 24/7 for some reason?
-
Okay lets put it in this way:
If you both have the same outcome on your rounds and your friend does it without slugging, camping or tunneling, he might be the better player. He does not need to play dirty (but in a effective) way to achive the same as you playing dirty tactics.
-
As long as the Nurse (and Blight) are like that, it will be hard to ballance maps and especially perks.
For example Ultimate Weapong might not be crazy strong on Trapper but completly broken on Nurse.
-
NO plus Can we please have the old ranking system back? The game became way to serious and sweaty. I want to have fun dbd back like it used to be.😪
-
I say he is fine. Killers in general are at the current version of the game are all strong enough.
But he would need some fixes tho. For example that you are not able to stalk a survivor unless more then half of the body is visible. I also think the stalking range should be fixed.
If they do change those issues, we have to wait and see how strong he would be. Maybe a very small buff is required, maybe not.
-
I mean, it is obvious. All you have to do is look footage of 2016-2020.
So yes, of course survivors are nerfed a lot, while killer got buffed significantly.
Said that, to have the opinion that those nerfs / killer buffs are okay for the game are an option. I would not agree tho.
Overall the options to choose from this poll are missleading.

Low activity on steam, few hrs but all level and grade achievements done in a very short time frame (suggesting they know how to play).
He even said that the Blight played not very good, but tunneling players out one by one was enough to beat far better players. I agree with that tbh. Tunneling and creating an early 3v1 is not exactly skillfull. Everyone, even bad killers can win a 3v1 against strong opponents.

Sounds like your teammates weren’t good either. Has nothing to do with “how dbd is now”. There’s a reason yall are in that guy’s lobby.
My last match as Wesker on supposed high MMR i guess (dont know 100% but my stats with him are like 30/0/2) was against a team that had combined not even the hours i have. They ended up all dead at 4 gens left, while me playing super fair and 3 hook everyone. I dont think matchmaking is pairing equaly skilled players together very well.
-
God, please NO!
I have no idea why some people want that so bad. Here are two very good reasons we should never have that in DBD:
- The ballancing will be a nightmare. It actually is close to impossible and will take years that we even have anything close to playable. Wasting those resources on a mode that might be fun for a little while is not worth it. I mean just look at the game right now. 1v4 took years to be even slightly ballanced and many argue it is still far from fair. You can not simple put 2 killers and 8 survivors in a realm. Maps have to be changed completly, perks and powers have to be changed, simply everything needs a rework.
- This will devide the playerbase. Some will stay in normal mode, some will play 2v8. That will have serious impact on matchmaking overall. Both modes will have very long queue times, less fair matchmaking and so on.
So to answer the question: I dont think so, and i hope it wont become reality. For the sake of the game.

Survivors hate killers that can win.
In a survey with over 500.000 votes, Blight won "most fun killer".
So much about that statement.

He is slow killer who has to capitalize around stealth which often leads clueless survivors to frustration. Some people simply don't want to look around and wish every killer was visible from miles away. Without stealth he has little to offer and can be looped just like any M1 killer as long as survivor knows how to extend a chase and doesn't pre-drop a pallet without a need.
Woudnt your argument also apply to Pig, Myers or Ghostface then?
Strange we almost never see complains about those killers. 🤔
No but seriously, the problem with Chucky is of course not his stealth but rather a) his short size and the cunfusing footprints and b) Slize has almost no counterplay.

The number 1 change i would do are his footsteps. Make them better visable and more accurate.
