  • Yeah! Also We're Gonna Live Forever is an amazing survivor bp farm perk I didn't mention. It could help if that would pop up in the shrine some time. Lately it's been nothing but hot garbage perks. I'm not expecting DS but WGLF would greatly help those who don't have it unlocked for all their survivors yet and it's a wonderful perk that encourages anti slugging altruistic behavior.

  • Scratch mark erasing perks are highly underrated. The effect of removing scratch marks for even a short amount of time cannot be taken lightly as, with the proper footwork and maneuvering you can totally lose or throw the killer off your trail.

It works even better with lithe and or quick and quiet. Throw in spine chill for faster window vaulting and flashlight to potentially blind and you're Houdini.

  • I feel like undoubtedly the best way to farm bp currently is as killer, with bbq chili. Killers have insanely fast queue times and their challenges aren't usually too difficult to do. The only thing standing in the way of crazy bp farming as killer is sweat squads tbh.

Survivors on the other hand is much more complicated. The issue is that, if it was much, much easier for survivors to get more bp per match on average then less people would play killer. That being said they still need to do SOMETHING about the bp grind on survivors. My idea is to make the flower bloodpoint offerings that affect a single category, affect ALL survivors for that category.

Eg. I bring an amaranth offering for extra points in Survival category: give it an extra effect to give your survivor teammates a small boost as well in the Survival points category.

Here's an example using the Amaranth family:

Fragrant Crispleaf Amaranth: Grants 100% bonus Bloodpoints in the Survival Category and 75% bonus Bloodpoints in the Survival Category to all Survivors

Fresh Crispleaf Amaranth: Grants 75% bonus Bloodpoints in the Survival Category and 50% bonus Bloodpoints in the Survival Category to all Survivors

Crispleaf Amaranth Sachet: Grants 50% bonus Bloodpoints in the Survival Category and 25% bonus Bloodpoints in the Survival Category to all Survivors

This would allow survivors to coordinate bringing various flower offerings to boost each other's bloodpoint values. This would also hopefully discourage the use of "toxic" offerings such as map offerings or shrouds. I don't really think those are the worst thing in the world but they can be abused by sweat squads. Personally if me and my friends all stack Shiny Coin or something though we're just memeing lol

  • Plague. Actually awful how messed up she is currently and Behavior hasn't said anything for months about improving her or fixing her bugs

  • As much as I wish it didn't reveal your aura at all I know that would be a huge nerf. The only reason I hate the aura read so much is the fact that it eats two entire tokens of Distortion because of it lol

Fix that and I honestly won't complain too much about Undying. I just think it's dumb how it practically destroys Distortion. If anything the two should counter each other since it takes at least more than one cleanse to get rid of Ruin + Undying.

  • For those saying this would be a considerable nerf to her just think about it this way:

Imagine all the phase grabs she could get off said interactable objects lol

Edit: Survivors interacting with the objects that is. I didn't think I needed to clarify that but just in case. I also wanted to add an additional tidbit: an interactable object like this is a side objective so this would theoretically buff her by giving her kit slowdown. Are you forcing survivors to do this new, optional objective? No but it's there if Survivors want to be able to see Spirit while she's phasing or take their chances, you know, dying.

Again I really like this idea and am surprised I've never heard it pitched for Spirit before.

  • He's certainly more fun to play against than Doctor or Freddy (Similar forced slowdown killers) in my opinion.

My only issue with Legion is they tend to be very mean. Camp, tunnel, slug, noed, toxic in chat etc. like bro, who hurt you.

  • I genuinely don't understand all the hate against balanced landing and lithe lol

How are these handicaps? I understand balanced landing is powerful on certain maps but otherwise it makes a survivor very predictable in chase if they're going up.

Lithe I feel is a bit more straightforward and easy to use but gives away your position with the loud notification unless you run quick and quiet with it but it's got a lot of potential.

  • My problem with Tinkerer is that, why use any other gen patrol perk ever when you can abuse this with the popular Ruin Undying combo. Together, these make the Devil's Trifecta, an almost impossibly difficult build for survivors to work around without great coordination. Any killer with mobility or good map pressure can and will abuse these.

Surveillance and Discordance then get almost no use / see the light of day. It's a shame because Surveillance is really cool with Pop Oppression (It's neat seeing all the gens you just caused to regress via Oppression) and Discordance, while underrated is unbelievably good as it will almost always make survivors stop working on gens together. I know that isn't the most prevalent issue but if you pair Discordance with Ruin Undying, suddenly survivors have a much harder time trying to simply power through Ruin.

TLDR: there are other gen patrol perks but tinkerer is just dummy thicc good

  • This is a really cool idea I actually love this.

  • And so the cycle of hate continues.

  • Plague.

She's not worth playing at all currently and I don't think behavior has any plans to change her. If they do then they're keeping if hush hush.

  • Pandora's Box

You know how to get what you want. The Entity knows how to punish you for this.

Opening a chest will guarantee you find an ultra rare item but create a loud noise notification and reveal your aura to the killer for 10/8/6 seconds.

We've won.. But at what cost?

  • This feels like it's directed more at Dead Hard than any other exhaustion perk tbh. The reliability of Dead Hard is often up for debate but yeah, it can let people get to a clutch safe zone and prolong a chase. Isn't that what all exhaustion perks tend to do in one way or another?

Exhaustion perks give survivors speed in some way or another (Or stun with Head On). I don't run exhaustion perks sometimes mostly because I don't have all of them yet and the only ones I'm really comfortable using are Balanced Landing and Lithe anyhow but I notice that without exhaustion perks I get caught just faster. I'm not a god at looping but exhaustion helps me delay the inevitable so to speak. Calling all exhaustion perks crutches is kind of harsh though because is there really anything wrong with perks that make your life a bit easier?

Am I wrong for using Windows of Opportunity so I know where to go?

Like, first people complain and want DS, Unbreakable and Borrowed Time nerfed/removed from the game and now people want exhaustion perks to receive the same treatment? I don't get it. What are survivors left with if you take away meta perks and exhaustion perks?

And this coming from someone who has no meta perks and runs exhaustion perks every other match when I'm not doing some kind of dedicated build like idk, killers have meta perks shouldn't it be okay for survivors to have perks they can trust? I'm all for certain problem perks such as DS being looked at and changed so they can't be abused but you people are literally asking for things to be straight up removed and or nerfed into oblivion and I really don't think it's that deep tbh

I still don't understand the whole deal with deadhard and why people are hating it so much lately. My friends almost always end up exhausted on the ground with it or it just delays the inevitable down. There are only so many palettes in each map and when you go through almost all of them it's impossible to loop killers and not go down lol

  • I'm most concerned about Plague having an abysmal pick rate. Riddled with bugs, blood point system issues, being screwed over BAD by dedicated servers what with vile and corrupt purge not registering hits etc. and they've said NOTHING about addressing her issues or helping her at all.

Nevermind her questionable power design. I just stopped playing her altogether because it's beyond painful having to walk to a corner of the map a mile away from survivors to get Corrupt Purge. Gens genuinely fly by and she can't actually pressure anything she's imo the most unfun killer to play right now but yeah it's fine. Clown and Demo getting reworks, Freddy getting changed and everyone wants Legion + Nurse changes asap but I have to bring up Plague because I feel like she's falling more and more and the only reason she maintains any semblance of positive stats is from the hardcore Plague mains who are just really good killer players and can get a snowball rolling with her (She is a snowball killer after all but that probably messes with consistency of stats).

I just wish behavior would acknowledge her but they seem radio silent about Plague it's like they don't even care.

  • I love that we're all like yesss, we spare so and so because we like themmm and the Entity is just in the corner tapping its foot like #########

  • It's too bad she's terribly flawed. Her blood point system is awful, dedicated servers screw her over often and she's very buggy. That's not even to mention the problems that arise with fountains being in the 4 corners of the earth. I could go on complaining about her but bottom line you're right.

Plague has the best perks Imo from a consistent value stand point. My favorite is Infectious Fright followed by Corrupt Intervention. Dark Devotion is neat but not always practical to use- that being said it really does cause mass hysteria when used properly. So satisfying.

But yeah I hope they fix her up.

  • Killers

Marry: Ghostface idk why but I just love him he's silly

Kiss: Frank (Legion) bcuz I like him best after Ghostface

Kill: Freddy bcuz he's an awful monster

    Survivors:

Marry: Jake bcuz idk why but I just love him ever since I got into this game

Kiss: Felix bcuz while I love him too, he technically has a baby on the way if you read his back story so.. Kiss only for him

Kill: There isn't really any particular survivor I would want to kill to be honest

  • Hag. I feel unfairly in control of a match as Hag lol, well as long as survivors are in my web but even then I can extend the web out and into other areas with well placed traps and just absolutely control everything.

The only thing that I feel I have absolutely no control over as Hag is the end game as, if the Gates are far apart it's gg. Some survivors are inevitably gonna escape because her mobility is limited to the triggered traps.

On the flipside the killer I feel powerless as is Plague. My God this poor character has quite possibly the worst design and bugs right now. I really hope Behavior fixes her because currently she's unplayable for me.

  • I hope these aren't real because they're certainly not the changes I had envisioned lol

  • Agreed it's kind of annoying lol

Wiggling too, especially when most of the times you get it to 99 and the killer still hooks you when I'm like 100% sure it should have been a breakout feels bad

What I really hope we'll get some day is a new survivor perk that somehow gives us a 4th hook phase chance. I'm thinking it could have a special prerequisite like Deliverance but it would save you from a death hook and give you another struggle phase

  • Lightborn is one way to deal with flashlights but if you really want to scare them shi less use Infectious Fright to expose them 😉

  • I do wish White Ward would give you back your item AFTER the match if you lost it to Franklin's Demise.

It hurts when I lose my Rainbow Map + Crystal Beads to Franklin's -3-

Like I can understand the hate against Brand New Parts, Odd Bulbs and Keys but White Ward is supposed to protect you from losing your item during the trial so I feel like you should get to retain it like how Killers always retain add-ons with Black Ward.

For me, it is Yui Kimura & Kate. Also, I notice so many people like Dwight, and for what? I give Dwights no mercy.

    Bcuz Dwight is precious!

  • If u want generators fixed I would simply put survivors on them.

  • My issue is that not all SWF groups are tryhard / sweat bully squads.

Some are just groups of friends having fun and against a good killer will usually still lose pretty badly lol

I understand killers hating SWF in any way shape or form because of bully squads but that doesn't justify generalizing them all and assuming they're all toxic and guaranteed to win or use keys because that's simply not true.

  • My personal favorite is that Nea is a killer lol

I do think this change would be nice

but im thinking how it would go instead is

totems take 15 seconds to cleanse, and in 5 second increments a candle below the totem is extinguished and it locks its progress there

that way the devs have nice clean even numbers to work with

    Oooh I like that!

  • I wish it affected the wiggle timer but they put that effect on Breakout.

The outcome is Breakout is rather niche and Boil Over should never really be used. Like ever.

That being said you might be able to do a cheeky play involving Boil Over + Petrified Oak / a Sabotage toolbox team-mate since the struggle effect from Boil Over actually is quite significant.

  • I feel like even after the key rework, whatever they may be changing about them, like if they do add an animation time to unlocking and limit one person to escaping through it, or making it spawn differently, none of it will be enough for killers.

Idk I feel like killers are always going to be unhappy about the possibility of one survivor being able to escape with a key through a closed hatch. Like it's "robbed them of everything"

Like yeah maybe it robbed you of a 4k but that survivor probably wanted to survive and not be robbed themselves lol this can go both ways sigh

Bottom line, I'm hoping keys get reworked accordingly so they're more about use as aura reading tools and less about hatch escapes since that just bothers killers so much when even a single survivor gets a clutch escape as the last one alive with it.

  • What I hate is when I think I have the spots memorized and then when I go to find them they aren't there lol

  • I just came to make sure Ghostface was in SSS.

    We good

It only takes like 14 seconds to cleanse a totem; outside of ruin/undying it's never been a problem. There is no need to upset the balance of everything surrounding it and create tons of work; when only one instance is a genuine problem. Anything beyond that should skew things too much to one side. This would create more problems than it would solve.

If they just like....swapped the effect undying has with thrill of the hunt; they could buff thrill of the hunt while nerfing the more oppressive part of undying; and still keeping it's primary core effect/reason for existing in play.

If people wanted the same level of anti-totem strength they would have to run a third perk on top of it; and they likely wouldn't.

I guess you have a fair point. I just feel like it would make more sense if totems worked this way but that's just me lol

I do agree, I feel like undying is the offender here as it just does too much in one. Like you said, maybe give the aura reading from undying to thrill of the hunt (Which would really make more sense anyways than the annoying noise notification it currently has) and then suddenly undying is more balanced but still gives other hex totems second lives.

The green key should have its own model and be the MOST powerful aura reader.

You know what? Swap aura reading time with the Skeleton Key. 30 seconds for the Green Key, 5 for the Purple, 10 for the Skeleton, so it actually have a solid, definitive use compared to its contemporaries. You wanna play around the hatch? Bring the purple and pink. You wanna sacrifice that for some nifty aura reading? Bring a green.

And for God's sake, make it spawn with a random addon in chests.

All of this. This this this. This right here.

    Undying gives your location away.

I imagine if it ever gets a nerf, it will be that part of it.

If the killer has ruin and undying, even if you have detectives hunch and know where EVERY totem is; as soon as you get on one killer comes and chases you off it and it resets to 0. You have to basically tell the killer you are not on a gen, where you are, and hope he is far enough away and not someone like nurse/billy/blight or some other fast traveling killer.

I get the issue people have with undying, but I also love how it makes things like the new ruin actually effective by letting them stay up for more than the first minute or two of a match.

The devs know the stats, so I dunno if it's really OP or not; but if it is and it does get nerfed- I am sure it will be the location revealing and not it's undying effect.

Edit: also what is this "they have to break all 5 totems" talk, usually it's gone around 3 totems I find, SOMETIMES 4. I've almost never seen it survive to 5.

This is exactly why I think totem cleansing should be reworked so that if you let go of it it will regress slowly like a generator, rather than going straight to 0 instantly.

If they changed totems like this I actually think Ruin Undying wouldn't need to be nerfed.

  • If you wanted to meme on him you could have taken the green key to him and placed it at his feet as an offering so he knew it was green and that you were meming.

Honestly I don't see why anyone should ever pick up a green key unless you used ace in the hole and it came with aura reading add ons otherwise it's literally a curse to pick up lol

  • Honestly? Legion.

The majority of my matches are against Legion and it just gets annoying and boring after a while no offense to Legion I just hate mending.

  • What is this Jason / Friday the 13th lawsuit I keep hearing about, can someone fill me in?

    LOL NO.

This is nowhere near as bad as facing Tuft/Tombstone Meyers that enters Mori Mode permanently. It limits her hatchets and only rewards you for having AMAZING aim. If this is a huge problem for you, you must be in Red Ranks. Even then, with the hatchet causing no cooldown on M1, it is already fairly easy for a Huntress to land a toss at point-blank range and follow it up with a quick M1.

With iridescent heads you can down people immediately from the get go.

With that Myers build you can at least delay the inevitable so I'm not sure it's really a fair comparison lol

They're both still evil to go against though and I'd rank them in the same tier.

Just after I opened a chest and picked up the key the wraith uncloaked next to me and tunneled till death for finding a literally useless item I just wanted to stock in my inventory. Isn't it fun.

why cant broken keys have a different color or models it's so goddamn stupid when the items got gaphically reworked and devs knowing the hate and fear towards keys, they simply reused the same for all key rarities

I've had this happen to me. I will say it's fair for a killer to tunnel the key holder but it's unnecessary to be mean in end game chat over an item that you found from a chest during the match.

It shows the maturity of some people when they decide to be like that but eh it's just bound to happen.

I do hope the key rework will either make all keys not threatening enough for killers to tunnel over them or that they give green key a unique, broken model so killers know it's unable to open hatch.

It would be almost impossible to play Twins without undying ruin combo. You would have to buff Victor to take advantage of aura perks in the least.

That sounds like a Twins problem to me.

The reason people think this is because in Resident Evil, there's a "Special Tactics And Rescue Service" team that works for Umbrella in the Raccoon Police Department. S.T.A.R.S.

It's a reach, that's for sure, but if there's one thing about this community that's for definite it's that we overhype things to #########.

I really don't think it's THAT much of a reach. It's a pretty obvious reference if it ends up happening. Any respectable RE fan would see that and think S.T.A.R.S lol

Personally I'll believe a Resident Evil chapter when I see it just like Silent Hill. NOBODY expected Silent Hill at all because of how stingy Konami is and yet here we are.

I can honestly see Capcom working with Behavior for this, it would give them massive publicity and I really don't see why they wouldn't? Idk some people have said "Oh Capcom would NEVER do such a thing" but like why not? Lol

It would cause an insane hype storm and everyone would go wild like they did for Silent Hill and Capcom has big remakes in the works so surely they want to keep eyes on them.

But yeah I'm hoping we get RE chapter lol the only thing that would be better than Jill and Nemesis is if we got a surprise double survivor with Leon as well but again I'm not hopeful about anything and won't believe anything until I see it from official DBD team.

  • So what you're saying is if you're slugged / hooked you can still reveal Ghostface?

This makes sense.. But idk what to do or say when I focus him with my camera and he won't get revealed.

  • Yeah place little blips of the trail as mentioned above and they act like bear traps of sorts. It's VERY dirty this way, especially around corners or outside vaults etc.

Survivors will usually not react fast enough to crouch and will walk right into these small patches.

  • I'm surprised some people are hailing it as the best and only regression perk combo when pop and oppression exist.

    Ruin undying can be cleansed.

Pop and oppression are forever and not tied to hex totems.

Heck there's all manner of other slow down perks from Thanatophobia to Sloppy Butcher. Slow down is annoying but it's a valid strategy for killer just like how trying to speed through generators is good for survivors. It gets frustrating when killers stack slow down but you just have to undo it or power through it (The latter is very risky).

Again, I wish they'd rework the actual cleansing of totems rather than ruin undying.

  • I mean, DS is really overdue for a change.

As for Ruin+Undying it is boring and oppressive at times- ESPECIALLY in solo queue and sometimes even in swf groups but at the end of the day killers are almost ALWAYS going to bring gen regression perks if they have them.

Pop and Oppression can be an equally powerful combo. Bottom line if a killer is applying pressure and regressing gens they are doing what they're meant to do and I don't find it fair to complain about it it would be like killers complaining about survivors repairing gens.

Now all that being said.. I do wish they'd look at totem cleansing rather than Ruin Undying. I think totems need to be reworked in the way you cleanse them, their current duration is fine but losing ALL progress on the cleanse if you have to let go/get hit/grabbed is beyond painful especially if the killer camps the lit totem with Undying's aura read.

What I propose is that if you let go of a totem before finishing the cleanse, it will begin regressing like a generator that just got kicked. If Ruin is in play, the regression bonus from it could affect this totem regression as well. Basically I just want totem cleansing to be a bit more bearable if we get pressured off of them and the killer decides to camp it. This way another survivor could try to finish the cleanse or you could come back to it and maybe finish cleansing it before it resets to 0.

  • It's coming with the key rework that everyone seems to have forgotten about. Once keys have their power level balanced out, we can go from there and see what else Survivors possibly need nerfed. The only thing I can think of is DS as, in its current state it is abused for invulnerability.

The people saying Unbreakable, Borrowed Time and Deadhard need to be nerfed are just upset that there are perks which counter slugging, camping and tunneling.

  • I really like this idea actually. Especially the addition of removing your scratch marks for its duration. That just makes sense considering "distortion".

Plus this fixes the whole issue of the token bs. I personally don't want a way to generate tokens for it because I don't like the idea of starting with 0 and having to earn tokens to use for aura read negation when your aura will more than likely be revealed before you could even get a token.

And the issue with it currently having only three tokens is that they get burned through pretty fast- Undying cleanse literally eats 2 of the 3 tokens lol

  • If it did that it would render the whole purpose of having two exit gates kind of moot: so the killer can't just guard one.

1 … 20 21 22 23 24 25
