We're reading all the feedback around the Dev Update, and will continue to do so once these changes are testable on the PTB, so if you can, please do test it out and let us know what you think.
Could you at least tell us what victor being on a downoed survivor even does? You guys never said what it did.

For Ultimate Weapon, the Survivor's aura is only visible for 3 seconds.
Also want to give a thanks for everyone sharing their thoughts on the Dev Update :)
Can you guys reconsider victor not latching onto heathily survivors? I think if you kept that with the new effect, and all the qol buffs, then they will be in a good place.

The difference is how their powers fundamentally function.
- Twins was forced into a slugging playstyle bc of how their power works.
- Oni has the option to slug, but they fundamentally are not required to.
Hell if you rembmer, they did change oni to not need to slug. There was a point where he HAD to also slug
-
Im mostly upset that they lost a big part of the pressure in latching onto healthly suyrvvirors, preventing them from doing anything and gaining the info.
Now, Victor is just a generic chase tool who can injure.
-
Oni doesnt HAVE to slug, thats the differnce. Twins bascailly had no choice but to slug since it was too hard to pick up survivors.

We'll have to test it out of course, but the way I'm reading it is they're now basically only good at chain injuring people (a worse Legion) except Charlotte is an m1 with haste (boring for everyone involved, see SM).
Hope I'm reading their changes wrong.
Curious to see the addons too.
Same. They are praobly stronger but all the uqnuie aspects of twins are gone. No pressiring a single survivor with victor latchg while you chase someone else (which i what i liked)
I wish they make being able to latch victor onto survivors an option you can swap between.
-
The fact you cant attach victor to healthly survivors, losing a large part of your pressure and power for no reason is what i mostly dislike. It feels uncessary to remove that part of the power, along with the killer insncit and reaveal.
Seems like Twins will be way more one dimeosinal and boring, as all victor is good for now is getting injuries.
Please, reconsider parts of this rework. I do like everything else.
-A twins Main
-
I dont like the Twins changes, moslty the fact you cant attach to healthly survivors. I dont see why that needed to be removd.

@Pulsar said:
I would've preferred if they had just done a full (viable) rework. New power, new outfits, new lore, new sounds etc etc
That being said, this SM is a much healthier Killer than old SM, so I suppose I'll take it.
That was unrealistic and you know it

youd be suprised how many people would generalize all of us and call us bad for wanting this specific area of wesker gameplay to be fixed. and that we just cry to nerf strong killers......even tho we all agree he is fun and fair until the slow down kicks while being tunneled
But your soultion is the issue. Some people want to compley remove the hindred, but that isnt the issue.
-
You guys act like its hard to fix. Just make infection not passivly build while under endurance, in a chase, doing a concosupis action, ect.
Any one of these fixes the issue

I really love the Skull Merchant rework, she feels a lot more like a Hunter now and a lot less like a Generator Guardian. The tweaks from the PTB were really nice and make her feel leagues better to play but there's a couple of small things that immediately jump out to me as things that should be changed.
First: Stealth Mode
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/K4Z8AYU0LHIV/20231010162902-1.jpg
It still has a huge indicator around the Drone's radius. I feel this kind of undermines the whole Stealth concept quite a lot. If Ghostface had a big neon ring around him at all times when he was in Night Shroud I don't think people would call him a stealth killer.
The second thing is a lot more minor, she currently doesn't get any Brutality points when Injuring a Survivor with a Claw Trap. This leaves her extremely lacking in that points category. Could we get a Brutality score event for applying a Claw Trap?
The funny thing is, ghostface on the ptb bascailly had that, expect it was a loud ass nosie, and guess what? It was awful.
BHVR is afraid to make stealth, acaullty stealth
-
This post just sounds like: New things bad, old better.
The game is in the best spot it has been in years. Build variety, most killers are viable, maps suck less.
-
Still no update, strange.

If it was fine people wouldn't spend the entire time playing her as a 3 gen killer.
Its fine, people just refuse to accept she can do more then 3 gen with her and are stuck in the old ways
-
Her chase power is fine now, those buffs are overkill

something that very few people know about is that Sadako has feature in her kit that removes ability to disable every television. it works similarly to corrupt purge where if all fountains are corrupted, you automatically gain your power. in sadako's case, if all TV are turned off, 1 TV is automatically turned on. This is to prevent survivors from completing deleting her ability. This mechanic was kinda useless before because... the tv that turns on is random and there is no guaranteed that anyone will be near TV that is turned on as radius was 16 meters. Now it is global so this mechanic is a lot more useful assuming nothing has changed about it.
Im pretty sure that feature isnt acaullty in game, its a deactive feature.

In the recent dev update. Sadako is pretty much getting a full rework.
As part of that, the time for a TV to turn back on after projection has been decreased from 100 seconds to 70 seconds, but the time for it to turn back on after a survivor turns it off has been increased from 60 seconds to 90 seconds.
I thought you mean the TVs turn on fsatrer at the start of the game
-
@Iron_Cutlass said:
Condemned is having the range limit removed, according to the changes being made. Also TVs turn on faster than before.
I think the idea is to force Survivor to manage TVs more but keeping her Condemn in check at the same time.
Where did you hear they turn on faster?

There's 5 EMP boxes on live.
Doesn't change the fact they are too strong still

I agree, my idea was they had to do the new SM arrow minigame to open the supply case

Nah, I enjoy the chapter so i'm buying it

I also was confused about this especially because all the new killer ptbs have been on a Tuesday the past 4 years.
That being said the forged in fog teaser had the same learn more text for November 1st which was the date of the ptb. So presumably it will be Wednesday, I'm not sure why they moved it from Tuesday.
It would still be nice to havec offical dev comment
-
@sizzlingmario4 said:
They said in the dev update last week that the PTB would be this week, so given that plus the date mentioned in the video trailer, it probably is the 15th.
But more info could mean alot of things is my main argument

Give Victor a max range of 60 meters. Have Charollte wake up in 1.5 seconds, and give her a weak ability she can use

Knight PTB was indeed a Tuesday release. The most recent PTB was on Wednesday though, and patches have been going out on that day fairly consistently since the year began.
Good point forgot about that.

@Science_Guy said:
PTBs have been starting on Wednesday instead of Tuesday recently, so expect them then from on.
I'm pretty sure knight ptb was Tuesday

They promised to take a look at the Mid-Chapter. They never said WHICH mid-chapter, nor if that look would be any deeper than "ehhhhh looks fine to me."
They're depending on Call Of Brine to sell the character, since it's about the only good gen regression perk that didn't get nerfed (and they made the new overcharge depend on it to be useful, as well).
There is no way they can think shes fine in her current state where her power doesnt really do anything

I agree but it seems there was a bit too much anticipation, mostly by the community itself who was autoconvinced there were going to be a lot of changes, so now some people are feeling disapointed at a "contentless" patch (the bug fix list is decent).
Hype is a dangerous thing.
I just want to see some changes for some of the weaker killers a nerf to nurse.
Sadako, Myers, to an extent Freddy need some buffs pretty badly as they aren't fun to play.

@Crowman said:
This would be the 3rd midchapter since her release.
Also it wasn't the midchapter after their chapter release, it was the midchapter after the next chapter release. So Sadako was up for adjustments last midchapter which got delayed and she's getting delayed again (along with Dredge).
At least with Dredge he doesnt 'need' buffs like Sadako. People claim shes like the worst killer in the game, she needs buffs.
-
My main issue with this PTB is the 6.3.0 midchapter itself has 0 changes. No killer buffs or nerfs, no perk changes, nothing. It feels like they are too foucsed on base game changes that they forgot about everything else

Baba Yaga's voice is completely different.
different singing voice, different grunts/stun noises, different gasp when winding up
oh i didnt realize that. That just makes all the other skins that came after pretty sad: like the AoT and Hunk

Baba Yaga Huntress.
Ehhh kinda? Her voice is the same but she has the lullaby.
Tecgally the only one all others share the same voice
-
It's almost like it's not bhvrs choice in this aspect. Capcom likes to promote current Nemmy over og one quite a bit

Re: killer legendaries with unique music/voice, the one Huntress skin has a unique lullaby as well as her own voicing. That's not quite the same thing, but it's pretty close.
The mixtapes do complicate any possibility of adding a unique theme to HUNK, though. Hadn't thought about that. Which is ironic, because he got stuck with the one killer with such a factor.
Which killer legandey has a unique voice?

When you wish to report cheaters the procedure has not changed...you still need to make the in-game report as usual.
Then, if you have additional evidence, such as video, you can send that to our Support team. The section for name is now not compulsory on the Support form - we use your ID to tie up the report with the in-game report.
Well as long as it works. Cheating is already a big problem and being unable to see the cheaters names is quite dishearting.

I'd agree, but only if they take away the hindered affect (which in effect would make it useless). Those who know how to pressure well with Wesker already make the sprays a hard to find resource by the end of the game. He's only been out a day and a half. Once people have learned to use him and his power more efficiently, then sprays will have to be used more carefully.
Well it wouldnt be useless since he still gets the instagrab, but i see your point
-
When I think east or west wing, I think two wings. Not a wing and half of another
-
I just think he needs something like a 26-28 TR instead and he would be solid
-
Weaker is fun to go against and play as. Getting a cheeky grab or being thrown around is quite funny

In one game, I solod 3 gens in about 50 seconds or less using Built to last, hyper focus, stake out, and this isn't happening. The killer was downing someone just about every 30 seconds to a minute, but me smashing gens, he had no chance. I think stake out working with it, is too strong.
That Yea that's pretty dumb

With good pc you can hit them pretty easily of you have good reflexes. My friend who played on pc never missed ds. But if you play on average pc or console that's not possible.
Its immpossible to hit every great skillcheck on gen no matter how good are you. Thats the issue with the perk. Its just poorly desgined in general.
-
Even experinced players wont be able to hit great skill checks constaly. i think its fine
-
It will go away when the next update, deal with it

@Nos37 said:
The point of Ouroboros Infection is not to have survivors permanently hindered the entire match; it's supposed to make survivors weigh the risk of being hindered vs the time it takes to find a crate/spray and cure it. It's essentially a game slowdown.
@Laluzi said:
It's intentional. Permanent hindered is nasty and completely prevents looping. The way it's set up, Wesker has to play in a particular way that involves switching targets in order to make that happen - opportunity cost for later payout.
As it is, the sprays offer a survivor diversion and slowdown.
The problem is its not a good slowdown at all. Its about as good of a slowdown as Nemesis Vaccine are..which barely exists. It adds like 10 seconds max. Its not very good at slowdown
