  • Sounds like you want to face baby survivors when you say you dodge if the survivors have over 1k hours.

Yeah thats the point of meritocracy. The better players should have a higher value opinion on gameplay seeing that they are.. high rank

Why should they have a higher value opinion when

    A. Rank does not indicate skill, merely how often a player plays since the last reset.

    B. Changes to gameplay affect all ranks and not just the "top %!!!!!"

When it comes to the impact on the playerbase making changes based solely on one perspective will shut out everyone else who either doesn't play frequently enough, or doesn't care to try and rank up.

All this would do is encourage even more snobbiness and jackass posts by people just like your responses to other peoples comments on this thread. Not something I really like, anyhow cheers.

  • This would only cause more strife and elitism in the community. It's already irritating enough with the "you don't play <insert role here> so why are you talking" people.

It sucks but meh. Dunno why you would unlink it and not expect anything to happen. Hopefully you can get it sorted however.

Nurse has the lowest kill rate. Is she weak now?

Not when she is intentionally designed to be very difficult. I imagine the opinion on nurse having the lowest kill rate is that the design is being realized through all the games played with her.

Stat's aren't an end all be all, and tbh it doesn't look like bhvr is going off based on kills and kills alone to balance killers. Otherwise nurse would've been buffed.

Does this carry over after you’ve been brought back from the dying state? If not, how can this combination result in instant pallet drops?

No your progress doesn't carry over when you are brought back from the dying state. While in the dying state and you get picked up it transfers over due to Flip flop at a conversion rate of 50%.

    Appraisal and Plunderers.

Nothing more irritating then a survivor finding a key midmatch through the many chest searches they can do.

  • A Topknot Oni is extremely extremely annoying to go against. Makes him very oppressive with just a green addon. I personally wouldn't mind it be a purple rarity since its so good.

Bloodpoint gains are low? What? Survivors can earn as much as killers. 300 BP skill checks guarantee this.

Bloodpoint gains are low on a price per bloodweb slot. As Killer the addons you equip cost less overall when going into a match since you obviously earn more. Survivor item/addons you equip mean the cost is much higher since you won't earn back the points spent on those items/addons.

A better example would be the bloodpoint offerings. You are spending 3,000 bp to effectively get an extra 4,000 bp. 4,000 for 6,000. 5,000 for 8,000.

For the offerings the comparative bonus they award is almost nil and it in fact eats away at your total since you need to subtract the price of the offering from the total benefit you receive from it. So effectively you get 1,000 2,000 and 3,000 extra bp when only talking about the single category bp offerings and this applies to both killer and survivor. These eat up bloodweb space which already is grindy as it is.

Say a survivor brings an objective points offering that is brown. They also equip an item that is also brown (for consistency while talking about this). This means the base cost for the match is at 6,000 bloodpoints. They max out Objective's category but get around (I'll use my average score from about 15 matches) 4,000 for every other category leaving them with about 20,000 bp. They then lose 2,000 so around 18,000 just from bringing a brown item and a brown offering. This gets worse when looking at the items and addons as they go up in rarity.

A survivor will only have a net positive gain of 2,000 bp from the match while using up to green offerings and items (not counting addons) ASSUMING they get a minimum of 4,000 bp in every other category (essentially escaping for survival). Purple items paired with single category bp offerings almost always will result in a deficit. The only real blessing is the escape cakes which are also hard to get as the bloodwebs choke them out with the sheer amount of offerings and items that exist at the yellow rarity.

    tl;dr

They need to improve the bloodwebs and straight up remove/increase the bloodpoints awarded through offerings, they are quite abysmal. Survivor bloodwebs are horrendous

  • I don't like it since bloodpoint gains for survivor extremely low. Plus majority of the survivor bloodweb is hot garbage and the iridescent addons literally aren't worth it.

  • Survivor when they are bad, killer when they are good. It’s funny to watch bad survivors and entertaining watching good killers.

But it's "Game breaking" as people would say.

...Why hasn't behavior announced Anything about it on the forums saying "It's an Exploit. do NOT use a dpi to even 180 flick around corners and whatnot" ..that's like saying people who play competitive siege are not allowed to have a high Sensitivity AT ALL,

They only announce if it’s something they are banning for. A good recent example was the nurse fatigue exploit used by SupaAlf. They didn’t announce it but instead fixed it in the update.

  • Cases with Sony are handled on a per case basis. Such as changing achievements. It’s not going to be the same for every game since the conversation between the developer and Sony is specific to their game.

It’s misleading to apply the same results from other games which you have no idea how the conversation was handled on the backside to dbd and vice versa.

  • I prefer the random aspect of the map being chosen. It makes it more fun since I never know where I’m going unlike games where you pick. If you want to pick the map then just use an offering.

There's gunna be that ONE survivor main that'll question me bout it. that's why i added all that fun jazz

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2038592#Comment_2038592

Blight has the Fatigue Cancel too. Harder to pull off however. Also It's unique to both Oni / Blight like i said, and it's neat as all hell to tell the difference between good blight / oni and bad ones. imho it's like saying Billy should only be locked to a 45 degree angle and nothing more. (this would hurt him severely...)

Then they should patch that exploit as well. It doesn't matter if its "unique" its still an exploit that is almost exclusive to PC killers. To address the Billy point but idk why, it is perfectly achievable to utilize his full range allowed when he starts his chainsaw run on console just like PC. That makes no sense and imo I think you are trying to distract from the main discussion which is the exploitation of dpi on pc killers mouses which exceeds the limits in the game.

  • Using the reasoning that "the other side has their ######### so let us keep this" is not feasible. No one is defending the usage of those exploits, however that shouldn't detract from what this exploit on Oni and Blight allows them to do, and specifically it benefits PC killers. Just like the "fatigue tech" exploit on nurse it needs to be fixed.

  • It looks to be a bug they said they fixed where the game tells you the result different from what the emblems signify.

Probably using that dev build that was accidentally released around Ghostface time. People have been doing mods ever since.

I like the aestethics, but the power looks broken asf.

It’s a unity project easy for prototyping.

  • Bloodlust for killers was a mechanic which was active throughout every game regardless of perks or killer. However, problematic perks they are able to isolate matches where those perks were not in play. Ergo certain things that may effect gameplay results from being consistently present such as bloodlust needed their own "experiment weekend" to gather data while other things like perks/items/addons they are able to collect data about matches where they are and are not used.

  • Your gamertag is essentially your display name for games. Steam for example has display names and profile names. Profile names you can change but in Steam's system you are tied to your progress regardless of what your name is. This is the same for every system. Xbox ties your progress in their backend. Ergo you won't lose progress by changing your gamertag.

Nah I've done this plenty of times where spine chill proves to be effective against spirit. Want me to upload 3 more videos proving that's the case? Btw I already said the only problems with her is those 2 op addons

I think around 100 games should be an effective benchmark. Especially since the number of games occurring per day it should be a good starting point to see how effective spine chill is.

The giant news tap where they address that 30k people's accounts got hacked and they told us to watch out for suspicious activities.

I'm looking for examples about what to look out for

Your accounts weren’t hacked. I would recommend using 2FA if you are worried as it’s a good stopgap in case you fear your platform account is at risk from any thieves

  • Deathslinger who seemed to just know my build (Desperate Measures, Botany, Self Care, MoM). Fun games.

  • There’s some things that need to be tested on live servers since a beta test among however many people will not suffice when they need large amounts of data to understand if something is working on a large scale.

Have you ever considered the very slight possibility of it being a-

[He gasps, followed by a dramatic whisper.]

    ...combination?

Especially since they said a version of their mmr which only looked at kills vs escapes never even survived to go live.

  • I’ve been running it so I don’t have to sit on a gen as long as before to max out objective points. It also helps towards the end of a match if I need to bang out a gen with someone else

  • I mean yeah generally it doesn’t matter what killer you play if you aren’t good you’ll still suck.

  • Whispers has no counter from the survivors side. So I’m fine with this staying as is since the person on the hook obviously isn’t dead yet.

  • If it’s played by a survivor I play normally. If it’s played by the killer I focus on getting out ASAP since it usually means they brought powerful addons or are going to sweat so I’d rather just escape.

  • No because even half decent headsets are cheap af. They do it to ensure they have an advantage.

  • He's 110% to encourage him to use his m2. If he was 115% every deathslinger would never use his power.

Yeah, it's not an 'exploit' or a 'tech', it's just a function of the game. But it doesn't mean there aren't certain scenarios in which it becomes a dick move. Just like camping and tunnelling. You have to admit, anything that becomes impossible for the killer to work around, and puts them in a stalemate, is poor sportsmanship, just like face camping.

All are viable 'strategies' players can employ, but they're not fun to play against.

If you're gonna throw a fit and ######### at killers for camping and not throwing the game in order to make it fun for you... well it's a two-way street.

I don’t think we’ll see a change given how hard “fixing” it would be. Unfortunate but I’ve never had issues with W gamers

  • @Profezia said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2027435#Comment_2027435

Yeah, exactly, no solution. You just have to accept that you lose a gen in that situation.

Now project that situation on 2, 3, 4&5 gens left.

I've seen a huge amount of 1k+ hours survivors who exploited W+Shift thing (gap between you closes basically at rate of 0.6/second which means it'll take 10 seconds to close gap of 10 meters, while they often start running at ~24+ meters distance between them and you) and I really couldn't do anything about it except trying to ambush them or catch them offguard pretending I'm going after somebody else, but it's pretty clear how rarely this would work.

So they exploited running. Christ that’s cringe af. Not everything is a “tech” or an exploit. Maybe it’s an intended function for survivors to be able to run.

    These forums are pepega

    1. you are faster than survivors but you are running like if you have sprint burst. 150%
    2. You are faster as bubba when chainsawing nearing the end of the curve.
    3. At max bloodlust you are faster by a lot
    4. There are other ways for survivors to get survival points such as self care, head on stuns, killer grasp escapes
    5. Once a survivor is exhausted they must recover their exhaustion before using their perk again.
    6. a survivor running at a 90 degree angle towards a window will most likely fast vault
    7. Survivor movement speed is 4.0 m/s
    8. Chaser emblem points make up quite a bit for red ranks. If you don’t get chased by the killer chances are you will not fare so well with the emblems.

If your genuinely good enough then you don't need to resort to pathetic tactics to win the game

So killers aren’t pathetic when they tunnel. Cause that’s a pathetic tactic. Yikes

Lately as soon as survivors see i play doc 1 dcs out of every 10 games...just a curiosity I know people DC vs freddy Myers and spirit but what makes a person say nope I would rather take the penalty? A friend of mine dcs if he gets haddonfield as killer🤣

Sometimes I have to go to the bathroom really bad for some reason. Other times I can’t stand playing against certain killers like doc. His screen effects and if he has the addons that make the chase music and red stain stick on me sometimes really make my eyes hurt.

  • Or just get it by playing normally and getting a 4K since bubba is so pathetically easy to win with now.

Source: I haven’t had a single survivor escape the last week from my bubba.

  • Making ruin base kit wouldn’t be healthy at all. It would encourage survivors to stick on the gen until its complete rather than going to unhook. There are a few other scenarios but I’m tired I just don’t view it as healthy when it punishes the survivor for leaving the gen and I want them to leave the gen without finishing it.

  • Pretty cringe ngl. I solo queue and stream and think that’s cringe to stream snipe. I always exit out of the streamers tab when I look pre game and we start loading in so I don’t have an unfair advantage.

where did you get that metric from? I have plenty of games then and now where it was gone in less than a minute flat. But go ahead keep being biased and ignoring my entire point

Most of my games it stayed up most of the time despite myself running perks dedicated to finding totems. But go ahead and keep being biased with your experience that doesn’t reflect the vast majority of players when ruin undying was meta.

  • Yeah its pretty circle jerky. Unfortunate which is why I stick to discord.

  • Majority of my quick matches as survivor is in the morning.

  • I'm not a fan of the idea of a singular offering just allowing the killer to eliminate a survivor from the match bypassing the normal hook/bleedout system. That's why I like Devour Hope as a survivor. It's fair and rewards killer for a certain playstyle I like. I think the nerf making them only on death hook is fair and from all indicators, they aren't done making changes.

  • @Shadow_Da_Bagel said:

I was thinking of this myself. I feel like it would be a really cool idea and make the game feel more realistic. I don't know how many balancing issues there would be, but I like the idea.

    Asides from the necro

Doors are complicated in a multiplayer game. Wouldn't be worth it.

  • I'd rather not buff any sort of recovery time or decrease the slowdown for his going into trails mode. This effects his POTD attack as well and that made him not fun to play against at all and keep in mind they nerfed that specifically so I wouldn't want that reverted.

  • It's easy to say it takes no skill when they played the game for 5 years. It's even easier to claim the game is still biased towards one side after 5 years of playing.

  • Yes you get 2500 objective points for unlocking the hatch with a key. You get 2500 objective points for escaping as well. As well as the normal 5000 survival points.

  • Automatic gen regression is extremely strong. Having it basekit would be incredibly oppressive. There's a reason why ruin undying became meta so quickly and why it was complained about so much. There's also a reason why when ruin was reworked to be automatic regression it wasn't made a normal perk instead of a hex perk to some people's confusion. The fact that you could have a person hooked, a person being slugged, and a person being chased means that last person would have to give up a gen that the killer isn't even pressuring to go help their team. I don't think basekit gen regression being automatic would be healthy at all. That mechanic should stay optional as a perk choice rather than what you've suggested.

  • Only managed to get 4 games in for Killer tonight, so far not good.
