  • For me escapes ofc. Mostly team escape (3 people).

Or when I died myself, but other three escaped.

If match was terrible I can personally count my personal escape as win, even through hatch, but I understand that actually it shouldn’t

I would have thought the "play while you wait" feature would incentivize more people to play Survivor while they're waiting for their Killer games, and thus (maybe slightly?) reduce the Killer queue time. Is that not the case?

People play. Few people want to stay afk for 20 minutes in lobby. I can’t find the player ratio being a problem, especially now, where survivors in 2vs8 is the easiest role possible. I mean, literally, if you look at lobby in 2 vs 8 on survivor side — it’s not a separated mode with lobby of 8 people. They connect two lobbies of 4 players. I don't believe the issue is in ratio, clearly it is technical flaws.

  • I don’t even care about her strength. Just sounds… I will barely able to tolerate her, Dredge or Doc.

8 survivors constantly making annoying sounds? God please no….

That is so not true Ghoul Scamper is Faster then Krasues and applys a Hinder.

You seriously don't know what your talking about just say you want him busted bud.

I don’t play him and never bought him, maybe I just accept that scamper his least problematic mechanic now after several nerfs? I was more likely downed by his leap zoning rather than in loop after scamper. Like literally, I was rather downed by m1 without vault or on the way to change loop.

But if being honest, I never had issue against scamper killers from the start. Even Krasue was manageable in this term and I rather hated her braindead dash and hitbox. I didn’t play against release scamper Chucky only… I rather struggle against dashes or killers like Doc and Dredge that affects my ears in terrible way

In his current state, you just need to understand when you should drop pallet against ghoul. And this is only for safe pre distance predrop or when he cancel power while you camping pallet. As soon as you start to play around his scamper he is actually enjoyable to mindgame in chase. If not bugs only…

I hate him only when he brings braindead add-ons that gives him 6 perks and use mobility for insta go for unhooked survivor. Just because I genuinely still struggle feeling pressure when being tunneled. But this is matter of time. First chases against him are actually kinda enjoyable for me

  • This PHead buffs are actually decent, I love it

However, I noticed Borgo and Lerry causing bug that simply cancel his power on middle or hitbox are actually shorter than it looks. It should be fixed asap…

Sure you keep thinking that killer main. Not outdated at all. The video says it all BHVR.

Calling out a flaw in the game is salty? With video proof? Sure sounds like it to me you're saying for survivors not do their objective….lol

This video proof is outdated at least, at max its actually counterable now even without perks in solo. Just have a chase longer than 10 sec in sake of team not being slugged in same place

  • @Colt45m said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4026739#Comment_4026739

Should we just not do gens? Maybe we should just run up to the killer according to you right? lol Have a nice day.

Did I say that? No. I don’t appreciate when my words are just distorted to suit salty sentiment

  • @Colt45m said:

They werent spoiling. There is literally nothing you can do about this tactic. You go save them you get slugged you dont they bleed out. It is too strong. The video footage is all that needs to be said.

not gonna lie, this post is just showing another hypocrisy, especially after your take that gen rush doesn’t exist as concept. Not gonna argue with it just because it’s useless, if you genuinely believe in survivor’s helplessness

  • @Colt45m said:

Because there are no comms to do callouts that killer is slugging. Thank you. Have a nice day.

You literally have aura of slugged survivor lol? Then add more call outs and not free unbreakable to fix survivor distress about fact of being downed in second lol. People on these video were literally spoiling game for themselves clicking their fav flashlights instead of getting distance and messing with pallet throw timings, but you trying to make it killer player problem.

  • They barely even tried to outplay it

Deerstalker is reworked, knockout as well and as soon as ruin is over in this build killer chose you’ll have easier time. But it requires at least for one survivor to hold chase longer than 10 sec so other 3 can reset

This build even not on ptb simply doesn’t work. Trying to justify ptb changes through video with old meta - is just… unserious. Because problem on video was ALREADY addressed

  • Some random man teabagged me aggressively multiple times, took hit in endurance when I was after his duo, and both of them basically tried do everything to ragebait me until was on death hook.

Ngl 8k that match was satisfying and when that person gave up and stand afk it was my first time I was satisfied over game that much.

They are cocky as soon as feel they can win. Sometimes it happens, sometimes no, but it’s funny when their vanity just dies as soon as they get down :₽

People are sleeping on this. They want to have a "casual no stress experience" when playing survivor but they don't consider what this does to killer design. Killers like Kaneki or Krasue before the nerfs are made to "even the playfield" between casual and veterans. A mediocre Kaneki can bet a good SWF if he has some idea of what he is doing; Krasue went to live release with so many buffs that surprised most of those who had tested her in PTB, since she was not that weak.

I really wonder how powerful 2026 killers will be…

I don’t enjoy new killers design. Considering that I’m started to play “relatively recently” it’s ironic. The last design approach I actually enjoyed was singu, and even him became decent only after half of year of trials, yet for solo he is a sweaty bot in more cases.

Throw tomatoes at me I don’t like Springtrap as much as some Ghoul. Not because of strength. They are just lame for me. If not some of my friends I left without DLCes of new killers.

Oh dang that's really unlucky, yeah it's really tough when both killers are on you I try to get as much distance as possible and reposition often (I play scout) and try to let people know where they are so they don't get doubled

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4026565#Comment_4026565

Honestly, I don't see how both of our opinions can't be true at the same time? Like in my experience I just enjoy when I face a range of players and playstyles, more often than not in 1v4 it's always the same builds and the same tactics, which has just been due to SBMM. In 2v8 I see more variety in playstyles, and there is less options… so that's saying something.

I think a casual mode and a ranked mode when the playerbase amount permits it would go a longway, 2v8 has proven that they could both exist easily and that requires more players. So IDK, I think there should be a place both for the people who take this game seriously and those who do not.

I think if not just presenting SBMM in a way of “you are chill, therefore on low level” people would feel less pressured. But currently, just from a perspective of player who started this game last year, I don’t have a lot of fun playing against someone extremely strong or in opposite

Yesterday I met baby Myers and it was just sad looking how he struggled so much. I felt like ######### holding 3 gen chase. Yet I can’t give him free kill as well, because I felt terrible after long streak of loses because was first tunneled multiple times or my teammates haven’t done any gens. If I didn’t have unlucky day, maybe I let him mori me on exit game

  • @Rokku_Rorru said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4026559#Comment_4026559

I do, it's like going to a meet up and playing with all sorts of players at an event, you're not gonna discriminate based on time played, it's not a ranked tournament lol

Like it's also how we don't get any good data of experienced players vs casual players and what's poisonous to this game. Not to mention, the example you gave would be once in a blue moon and said person would give a case for getting nurse nerfed finally to a point she is bareable in casual play.

SBMM is the reason we don't have a "Balanced" game honestly, or at least a huge hand in it, we need more casual vs experienced players to see what's really glaring in terms of balance. 2v8 is a perfect example of it, it can exist and it can be fine and people all come back to the game when it's more casual friendly.

Do you realise we don’t have actual SBMM, so it’s basically a lie telling its presense a reason of game being unbalanced? We don’t have normal SBMM AT LEAST because win conditions are trash in the game, as max because abandons and many other stuff are a free bypass system for matchmaking.

SBMM isn’t about sweating. You have right not to sweat and stay on low level with SAME people of same level/mindset, so I don’t understand complaining. You aren’t forced to level up if have SBMM in game. You just can’t abuse its absence to play with players who don’t belong to your level and have free kills/escapes, wrapping it in convenient package “we just different that’s fine”

No that’s not from perspective of player who play less good than you, And to avoid demoralizing them, you literally turn games into BP farming. Which I also despise. Since when do we normalize "playing along"? I don't know...

  • @Rokku_Rorru said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4026553#Comment_4026553

I don't think so, I like variety in my matches, it's fun seeing how different people play the game new or experienced.

SBMM encourages everyone to sweat and not really play the game for fun anymore, the emblem system I encountered a lot less camping/genrushing and a lot more altruism etc. These days its just genrushing and tunneling and that's really boring.

basically it cultivates a toxic gameplay mindset.

I don’t see point in playing against players who spend more time, or less then you… it’s basically unfair in any regards, and getting fun from unfair matchmaking is last thing I’m gonna understand in this game

I bet you yourself gonna have fun only until meeting 20k hours Nurse player….who played since release. People need to play with same level, otherwise it’s like playing with kindergardens while being high schooler :/ Validating “fun” through facing players who don’t have as much experience as you sounds selfish for me. For events I tolerate it because y, they are for chaos and we don’t want worse queue times. For ordinary matches I’m already don’t tolerate current SBMM

Yeah mines are pretty decent across the board too on surv side, I think it's largely down to their being no SBMM which I'm enjoying, that said

I havnt been able to get into many killer games, I kind of wish there was no SBMM in 1v4 as well lol

I’m highly against absence of SBMM in ordinary mode. It’s not you winning/losing. It’s system being a weirdo. No joy from winning against baby survs or killers. When you’ll actually progress as player you’ll start to hate such matches no matter side you are playing

  • Last iterations? It was pretty decent.

    IMG_2565.jpeg

Current one? I was pretty unlucky with matches most of the time

    IMG_2566.jpeg

But hey I eat so well on survs, wonder why

    IMG_2567.jpeg

P.S. I’m not playing kwf usually. I had only 2matches with my friend in Discord, and yeah, it was a survivor stomp. Ordinary play without comms and in solo is usually not the good one. I had only two matches where I was a reason for our team to fail. Got majority of games with killer being afk or I ended up having highest results at the end

  • Because downvotes not about you being factually right or wrong. It’s about what people feel about your words.

I'd be inclined to agree with you if It was just his mobility that was good cool he could be the guy that countered Shift W but the fact he still has his Scamper with Hinder having both extremely mobility and very strong anti loop is not good Krasue is fine but Ghoul is still a problem

being unable to counter his current scamper… is like complaining on current scamper from Krasue.

They fixed bug with prolonged hinder. You literally can loop him now most of the times

This is why in my opinion ghoul should just be left alone. Dbd needs killers that are accesable and strong

I don’t like both such stuff… both for survivors and killer. But if people insist on “casual” play that much, they need to accept this bs on both sides. I don’t mind gen rush as soon as tunneling exist as much I don’t mind strong mobility killers as soon in this game we literally have the stupid escapist class in 2 vs 8 or busted builds on survivors and pretend this is fine because “well, people want to have FuN and don’t struggle”.

    Both sides want to.

  • @BongoBoys said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4025764#Comment_4025764

Look I get it hold shift W has always been strong on survivor but solution shouldn't be make a killer that has extremely insane mobility and very short cooldown that a survivor can't even make it to another close distance pallet let alone hold shift W and even if you do the killer can just hop over a pallet and apply a 50% Hinder on ya like ya know?

I’m agree with this, but it doesn’t cancel the fact that we have both killer with good mobility yet still have braindead meta on survivors as well with which other non mobile killers deal with

Ghoul was nerfed now… both his hinder timer and kidnap tech. Considering current pallet density he is just a simple yet strong killer, but still hated on some level of Nurse or Blight. Which I’ll never understand and not gonna do. And no, I’m not saying it from killer perspective, I never even bought his DLC lol because I despise his design approach. Just feel hate toward him is extremely overhyped now and the only excuse I can find is just because he is taking off the same strong and simple play from survivors and expose you in need to actually loop this killer. Which if being honest, people barely can do

It doesn’t cancel the fact he is overtuned tho, I’m not telling this. But this level of hate he receives never stopped to amuse me. Both him and Krasue just showing what happens when you take simple and casual approach on survivors in mind for killers as well. It was a story of heavy backfire for me since their day 1st of release

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/460212/buff-killers-to-encourage-not-tunneling-lets-apply-that-to-killer-complaints

mind you, only recently people started to actively use hyperfocus more than ever.
now you can ask and complain why or how its wrong.

but the point im saying is, no one used the strongest genrush and people consistently always say "gens fly too fast"

they basically got a small basekit version of corrupt with the spawn rules, months ago and people still keep saying its flying too fast.

my bias will just say that its a skill issue, something that alot of killer mains also use on survivors for all the problems survivors have or the reasons why people uninstall (ignoring it takes 1k hours or boring meta perks to beat).

i do play killer and without corrupt even with a good chase, it does feel like gens fly too much, why?.
i could point to toolboxes or even hyperfocus, have it be nerfed, but would that do anything?,
maybe its the built to last users or streetwise, because they got a buff or "buffed rework" (probably isnt).

when should a gen not be fastly done?,
they cant increase the gen time and lets be honest, gens are the most boring part of survivors actively doing something (besides being slugged on the floor and bleedout or held into a corner hostage)

even when i started playing the game and killers had insane pressure and gen-regression after the mft and buckle nerf, they keept saying gens fly too fast.

now sure, to answer your suggestion, doing a objective would help if there is an actual fun factor or reward for it, similar to blood-gens. i think it would work great if done well.

im hoping these only effect corner gens and take longer because, it would help the constant 3 gen cowards who only do corner gens, it would be a qol for survivor because, much less 3 gen to fight for 20mins, which they cant control and killers get free pressure.

it would be a win for both sides
survivors dont get 3-gen anymore (or atleast takes a much longer time to do) and killers get free pressure without any effort.

I don’t find the actual genrush problem in tool boxes or sth.

Resources. Survivors currently have really a lot of resources to last longer. +10 sec of gen requirement doesn't actually compensate it. Killers stuck in same meta for last years or it was even heavily nerfed

As soon as people understand the concept of siting on 3 different gens from start of the game and actually do gens, you don’t need tool boxes or oriented build for gen rush. In opposite, info based, anti tunnel and chase builds gonna be waaaay more efficient because survivor will lead killer far away from gens while others just do their job

The question are survivors smart enough to use resources they have or “gens too boring and I’m casual btw”

They should change his power to go up and not only down simular to draculas hellfire because that power is almost the same with huge cooldown but dracula has other strong things compare to pyramid so I think this could fix it so the punishment od dammed goes up on elevations and not only down (if Im correct using his m2 on stairs doesnt spawn it either you must be some distance like meter above stairs so his m2 can down down which is another stupid thing).

Lets start with fixing Lerry bug… at least

  • @Destaice said:

In my experience most toxicity in games comes from people putting unreasonably high expectations on their fellow players and allowing themselves to get upset when those expectations are not met.

It feels rare to talk to a killer main who has played DBD for 6+ years who doesn't think every survivor is a 5 gen chase juicer. "If you're losing to Legion in chase you're just bad."

Honey, this person plays like 5 rounds of DBD each week. You are ridiculous if you think they're not allowed to lose chase to M1 killers.

In 1 vs 4 this clearly have to be solved by better matchmaking. But what we can do for events… I have no clue :/

  • It’s sad you faced this. Sometimes people win so rare they trying to make a whole party for it.

  • I was matchmaked with p100 Nurse recently on Phead…

My mouse turned off and I lost first few minutes.

My power were cancelled almost everywhere…

Boosted rng (When I played survivor I never had such a good loops on Lerry. Even on killer. I had other match on Lerry same day and it wasn't that bad)

As cherry on top teammate who also suffer from this map and some salty TTV who called us losers. And guess what? I mean, he was right. In this game your win defined by luck and 2 vs 8 embrace it even more.

After this I played few more 2 vs 8. Survivor making circles around and pressing sprint button as soon I reached their pre shift w. Skip loop, skip loop, do weird move, don’t try to mindgams even, just do bs and pray for luck that killer won’t stupidly M1. 0 mind games and force this killer play m1, because survivor themselves don’t think how to move — they just move lol, without logic. Even window timing doesn't work because diabolical sprint burst and pallets everywhere ruins it even worse

First time I experienced a feeling that I’m a trash player. I’m not gonna touch 2 vs 8 anymore I assume.

There are some survivor players who are never happy, so all BHVR can do is gather as much feedback as possible and filter out the irrational opinions on the extreme ends. That’s why Legion was removed because the overwhelming majority of survivors hated going against them in 2v8. Oni isn’t quite as bad, but he still feels overtuned and seems like many other who play the survivor side agree. I haven’t seen large-scale complaints about any of the other killers in 2v8.

I don’t find him overtuned as soon as other killer don’t support him agressively like teacher’s pet

Well he does have the fact he can't be pallet or flashlight saved, bit yeah we always knew this was gonna be a problem.

But otherwise I suppose the only thing he has in 2v8 is he can potentially double hit Survivors, and theAtonement Cages don't have unhook defences (at least I don't think they do... I actually did not pay enough attention while playing to check).

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4025739#Comment_4025739

Does anyone know if the cage of atonement gets an unhook notification I wonder, since it isn't the same as the 2v8 cage of corruption? The wiki only describes the notification silence on Cages of Corruption?

    https://deadbydaylight.wiki.gg/wiki/2v8#Cages_of_Corruption

I haven't been able to try it yet... but that would be good to know, and a pretty scary difference between Cages of Atonement and Cages of Corruption, if CoA works in all the ways it does in 1v4 😅😶

No, it doesn’t. He don’t have any notifications in 1 vs 4 after cages as well anymore since last patch

Because Ghoul isn't a problem if you know what you're doing, the fact that people still call him "low effort, high reward" just proves that way too many of you just rely on running from pallet to pallet, loop to loop, often in a straight line and nothing else. So, the fact that Ghoul can cut you off from your precious loops and pallets, you feel like it's "bullying" or too "OP" proves that players like you are the root cause of the problems with DbD right now.

Ngl he is still low effort high reward killer and this shouldn’t exist, but I’m not surprised he is so hated because countering “low effort high reward” shift w from survivors

  • I already made post about this… As his main I was hugely dissapointed. Now I expect no one playing him after trying once in this event

  • The interesting fact - yes, there are speed penalty. I don’t have specific numbers, but relatively huge one. If killers killing fast in middle and doing their job great survivors get speed boost controversially.

So basically — as soon as someone do their objective good, other side receive bonuses literally for losing. Last 2 vs 8 Otz made a video about this, with more proper explanation.

Thats why I hate this event. They giving other side chance a win by sacrificing other side progress and punishing them for this. Nor killer, nor survivor should suddenly get more chances after literally having bad play lol

I found your comment funny cus I got an actual e-couple doing that today with Huntress.

I had a match with Wraith and DeathSlinger on Saloon. After this match I was like “they deserve some art holding hands with each other when do a mori for some Meg”

Honestly. If someone is a good artist, I hope they gonna make some silly doodles about this 2vs8 meme

  • rookie mistake on poor Cheryl. Surprised some survs on 2 vs 8 really poor in understanding concept of his power, so they doing something so wrong… that usually I’m outplaying myself

Shame on me I still didn’t get double or triple hit in 2 vs 8 but I’m just too traumatised afters some sfws so trying to use power less but more precise

  • They are zoning killers so I’m not surprised. If they are bad zoners, ngl, I enjoy e couple tech on them as surv. If good… Well that’s a shame and I’m doomed.

But good zoners playing on their own and cosplaying loving doves only if chase is too long or they literally 5m nearby from their lovely Oni or Wesker

  • I also find Huntress pretty weak in 2 vs 8. If player not doing insane throws and barely make mistakes she is feeling … off?

Her, DeathSlinger and PHead gonna be doomed suffering from “e couple” tech. I bet if you see two killers teaming it’s gonna be someone of them most of the time.

I was expecting him to get more returns cause of that, but he barely got anything, if anything he is weaker than with decent Addons, Dracula a already strong killer got a 3rd Dash.

My best proposal is make his range 14-16 m and give him base kit tape and cinderella box for small QoL (but tbh I’m asking for last thing even for his 1 vs 4 mode lol)

Iri seal gonna be pretty bad because constant requirement of charge slow him down a lot and this is his main issue in 2 vs 8

Giving him iri goblet it’s gonna be a massacre if killer player is decent enough. But… “if” the most important. I still hope I’m gonna see some good PHead in 2 vs 8 as surv. I really feel my kind is in extinction as some Hag or Artist players… He is not a huge threat in 2 vs 8 at all because has zero map pressure, so I think it’s not gonna be a huge deal? Idk how make casual players playing on him more at least for event. People can choose Nemi because despite having average power he is pretty simple. PHead just requires too much currently from the player

  • @BorisDDAA said:

  • Some people genuinely should just wait ptb going live or writing a huge alert under their posts aka “Uhm actually I didn't play it myself, but I watched/read…”

    And actually read about features.

Do Dark Lord is wicked fast flying, has a huge lunge as a wolf and can overcome pallets with the fire spirals. Look at his points. That's completely ridiculous

Unfortunately I didn't met good player on him yet… in 2 vs 8

He is not that great tbh (even i like him a lot) he suffers from "good on paper but not so great in real" effect becuase his range isnt that great, his hitbox is super slow so you kinda play chess with him and you need to be 2 moves infron of your opponent to land a hit that isnt survvior stuck in animation which can hit every killer with range attack kinda, he has no mobility so prerunning is super strong and the amounth of sprintbursts on comand with quick and quiet are so strong against him so he is like slinger maybe better but still he requires too much to work compare to 2v8 huntress and no mobility or catch up is very bad in 2v8 so yeah he is hard to use. Imagine survivor is in that narrow coridor or way of some loop where any other range killer has super small chance to miss like huntress, springtrap, uknown (second hit does someting so not great exsample),nemesis, xeno they will hit this because survivor has almost no room to doge that attack but pyramidhead? its still 50/50 where survivor can either bait it or doge it because how slow his attack is and with 2v8 delay I usualy get its pain and suffering I just had sable infront of me I used m2 and she still had some time to doge it before it got to her if it was huntress or other killer like xeno, nemi she would bet hit but pyramids m2 is very slow so its just like shooting 2 moves ahead the survivor I guessing where will he be which isnt helping.

Another bs is his reduction with camera turn is astronomical like dracula has almost the same power only difference is he cant hit survivor who is covered by something taller than him but his hellfire has no camera turn restriction which makes preshooting and other flicks possible on pyramidhead you are kinda forced to small degree range of motion with your camera and to be able to flick more you need just depend on bug which needs high dpi and lower fps (I think but no one knows 100% but higher mause dpi for sure) to work and only difference with pyrandhead to draculas hellfire is he can hit you compleatly through walls but fact is he doesnt see you without aura read so Idk why the turn rate is so dam slow is mystery to me.

He requires patience. If you can’t hit m2, you can zone and close. The issue 2 vs 8 and zoning killers simply has bad synergy

    But!

    — Blight

    — Oni

    — Wesker

    — Spirit

    — Wraith

    — Billy

He has nice synergy with these killers. Every killer with good map pressure in 2 vs 8 is really good for him. The best I tried is some awesome Oni player I played with. You either play as supporter, or control zones if you trust teammate enough. I can say he is def good in holding gens or finishing chase after teammate.

He is really bad with Dracula, Nurse, Huntress, DeathSlinger, Nemi, Ghostface…

  • Welcome to the fog again :₽

  • I had to play 3 matches to finally have a decent play, but he relies on his teammate extremely a lot

I also had to play a lot m1… that's disappointing. I can't imagine how hard it's play on him for people who don't main this killer

    P.S

Shadow class is unironically good on him

  • Our boy deserve more love. What a ridiculous update of him in 2 vs 8. He is literally stronger in 1 vs 4 mode

  • Just make able slugged survivors pick other slugged survivors, and provide them small haste after this, if we find slugging that frustrating

auto hook is bad idea because people will slug even more
