Instructions unclear. Initiating “nerf Freddy” posts

I do feel like it’s a bit unfair to compare this game to Smash Bros.
while yes, both have crossovers with other brands, smash bros is a fighting game. With that you can do literally anything with a character because as long as it lets them hit someone or move around the map it works.
Whereas DBD has strict rules that must apply to all killers. Chases cannot be too short, you must loop or mind game around loops, etc etc; you can’t have a killer who flies because that would be unfair.
Pyramid Head being blindable would make sense, but would be a pointless buff to an already strong killer. Even smash bros doesn’t have characters who are passively immune to certain attacks, I don’t see why this game should either.
-
They can be useful on outside maps if you keep a careful eye, not so much on inside maps but it’s not that big a deal
-
No more killers that cut chases short or force 50/50 mindgames. We've had several of them in the last year and we don't need more, 'nor are they fun to play against.
I enjoy playing as these types of killers, but I'd love a unique concept that also isn't terribly executed..
-
She would probably fit in well, but there’s too many people lusting after her for it to not be funny.
-
So people would double de-pip against camping killers and SWF squads?

And then we have people complaining about what other people complain about
You know what? I think you people just like to complain lol
I don’t think pointing out behaviour is complaining, they do make a proper point
I could stretch it and say you were complaining about complaining about complaining, and that in writing this I am complaining about complaining about complaining about complaining - and so forth for whoever responds back
-
I feel like this just re-introduces the issues of him being a weak, slowdown M1 killer
(also the Z block’s power most likely isn’t possible to pull off with this game’s engine)
-
there’s no fat survivors because they’re all based on 2 skeleton and hitbox archetypes. A fat survivor would either have a bigger hitbox or one that doesn’t fit the model.
for a fat killer I guess there’s clown? Tbh we can’t have fat killers because otherwise their body would clip through walls or have a bigger hitbox making them slower at looping, unless they just had a massive gut and nothing else
-
They’re still working on the MMR system and it will have separate MMR for each killer, hence why you’re now locked to one in the lobby
-
It’s one of the reasons why struggle is a terribly outdated mechanic, give us skill checks already damnit
-
Territorial imperative already shows the aura of survivors who go into the basement, and self-unhooks are pretty rare to begin with
I also agree it needs a full rework, something to move it away from the basement.
-
Would probably cause more complaints, but at least we know if the forum ever dies, we can just nerf a side to bring it back twice as strong.
-
As a killer main without slowdown perks I approve this message
-
Chases with Victor don’t count as chases, so using him too much means both sides’ emblems & blood points suffer.
yep, it’s dumb.
-
I saw them recently as I was playing as them in red ranks. After that experience I hope it doesn’t happen again.
-
I hate DS more as it’s often exploited, but if I hate Unbreakable it’s either because someone used it to reset the entire game after I went on a slugging spree, or they use it to get up after I hook the only other alive survivor to try and get the hatch.
it’s a difficult position, I don’t mind one guy having it, but when multiple do it sucks because you can’t take a single down for granted.
-
I wouldn’t say they need a full rework, just remove some of the counterplay and don’t let Victor stand right next to hooks
-
That’s a cute story, I’m glad her first match wasn’t against anyone too stressful
also yeah, no idea why people do the hook exploit, you’re just allowing the killer to keep 2 people inactive at once.p
-
No way to differentiate between game crash and random DC; if there was people would exploit it anyway
not a fan of DC penalty myself, but at least people don’t leave when I play PH now lol

I think Freddy doesn't need change. Just NA server users don't know how to deal with Freddy. In Korean server red ranks, nobody pick Freddy. Because nurse and spirit is better and Korean survivors are good at facing Freddy.
I feel like a big issue with Freddy isn’t that he’s OP, but rather that he’s one of the most boring killers to play against and has a bloated kit.
so for my change I would give some sort of counterplay to his m2 so it can’t mindlessly be spammed, and remove passive survivor sleeping
-
Seem similar ideas before, limiting players even more wouldn’t be great
-
You can also puke on lockers to see if there’s anyone in there without going through the checking animation
-
I saw 2 guys healing from the other side of the map because of undying and was like “holy CRAP nurse’s calling has a fat range”
it’s pretty useful on haddonfield too, where totems spawn right next to loops lol
-
I would keep Nurse,DS and Hag as they are
Plague and Twins could be reworked to be more fun & healthy for the game rather than just deleting them
oh, nurse could be buffed a bit though
-
Son, if you think I’m going to finish my “get 7 chainsaw hits in 1 game” by not farming, you’re gravely mistaken
-
He’s super common in higher ranks and for many not that fun to play against. I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s why they’re leaving
-
I prefer DBD, but I will say that IDV has more interesting & frequent crossovers as well as killers.
And admittedly, I feel sort of opposed to playing it considering what a knock-off it is.
..also DBD has the cooler name.
-
Only enable it if I can scream while chasing a survivor with my saw as bubba
-
Twins are forced to slug because they’re too weak at everything else. Making them weak at slugging to counter this would make them one of the worst killers in the game.
-
otz did catch hackers escaping without hatch or gates, so most likely they were hacking if you swear they weren’t able to use either of those.
-
You mean you’re getting killers below your rank?
...wanna swap places?
-
I’ve always thought it’s dumb that the punishment for camping or killing too fast was going into lower ranks, where it’s even easier to do so.
just rework the emblem system as a whole, please
-
If you picked up the survivor right after unhooking, you’re still tunnelling them regardless of DS
at the very least DS makes tunnelling slower as a result of the stun, but really that’s all it does.
-
I used to, but then I discovered doctor and pyramid head
now I’m hated by alll the survivors I play against 😎
-
If it makes you feel better, you probably won’t run into the twins again for another few dozen games
Devs absolutely need to change twins to make them less reliant on camping..
-
I have an Xbox controller I’ve played a few games with. It’s pretty interesting but I think I’ll stick to mouse & keyboard...
-
NOED and DS because I honestly just want the world to burn
-
You can’t complain about a perk not triggering if survivors “don’t do gens” or “don’t unhook” because if these aren’t met you are literally guaranteed to win.
-
Absolutely. I always feel bad whenever I see a console player talking about how hard it is to play Deathslinger and such.
devs should really start giving controller-users advantages balance patches to help with the downsides
-
She looks like an anime girl. Yes.

Bruh what do you want more? 4 survivor not doing their objective vs a Victor than can chain down survivor?.
It take 16sec to heal one state if you chase one survivor while Victor is out and an other survivor stay near for the kick they that's two survivor doing nothing productive for a good 30sec. The second survivor could have done half a gen by that time and by the time he heal the downed survivor you should be close enough to get a easy hit again and if you're smart you'd go for the non-injured survivor then get Victor and get two down with him. By the time you hook the first one, a third survivor will go for the heal if he's not too far, and now you have 3 survivor not doing gen.
Obviously you're just bad at them and want a buff even if they're a good A tier killer. Just go play a killer you're better at and stop whining for no reason.
I’m not making any statement about how strong they are, I’m saying their power is too reliant on them slugging & camping.
to be frank, I feel like they could use a power shift. Add counter play to tunnel, camping & slugging strats but take away some of the counter play from her more interesting methods.
otherwise their kit will just encourage the unhealthiest play style in this game
-
It feels rewarding because it’s effective at winning the game + toxic survivors can get screwed pver
feels ######### to go against because there’s nothing you can do, it usually means you perform terribly, and it’s just super annoying to NEVER get a break.
there’s probably deeper psychology but I really think people just hate it because it’s cheese & use it because either it’s powerful or they’re toxic

There's only so few objects you can use against Victor and if you go next to an other survivor that's 2 survivor not doing gen so even if the downed survivor get up again that's two survivor not doing their objective instead of one.
Victor take 10s to come back and unless you're right next to him after you down someone/miss attack you don't have the time to kick him.
that's 2 survivors not doing generators... for a few seconds... after you have to walk all the way over there
It takes him ten seconds to come back, but you then also need to walk all the way back there after being kicked. Plenty of time for survivors to heal. You keep them off gens but it isn't long enough to make downing them in the first place worth your time

Hit validation favors the person with the smaller ping.
Pretty sure it works the other way around, hence why so many survivors experience BS hits against high-ping killers
-
Until you go against survivors who don’t know how to play against them, in which case it’s a slugfest and you dominate the game
-
Restart steam and change your download server. I was getting 50 KB/s in London and Manchester so I swapped to Paris and got 2 MB

good god imagine the cooldowns

Hide and wait when you hear the saw, sidestep and run if he tries to attack you
