That is a really bad comparison.
A dc is something the killer can't control.
Being camped is something the survivor can't control BUT you can delay getting camped (not getting downed) and if you are being camped you're helping your team.
I disagree. The skill difference in this match is a big gap, and matchmaking is so poor you are matched outside your skill class time and time again. So no, you cant just "not get downed" if you are highly outskilled and a killer is just carried by the matchmaking.
(same is true for the opposite, of course)
-
True, but also the game would need a monthly fee of 15$ in addition to the online shop.
-
You might beat me in years (its close, though), but i started playing Video Games mid 1980s, so i might beat you in Gameplay experience ^^.
Also a father of two.
-
I had no problem with the ds nerf, because it was abuseable, and i never run it anyway, because i never encountered camping/tunneling as much as people claimed.
But i agree that there is a really bad shift in killer playstyle, and camping/tunneling is way too common at the moment.
The solution is just play swf, because they usually can handle it, and steamroll most killers anyway. But i liked the solo experience and the lack of information, because it gave me some tension in this game.
If a key nerf would come while this is not adressed, i think i will try the new alternative some streamers seem to be trying out lately.

I agree Killer is easier than previous years. Yet we still have a queue problem and lots of Killer apathy.
Thoughts?
Easier, especially vs solo, but still underwhelming vs swf.
SWF and solo gameplay needs to be seperated and balanced differently. A lot of killers and solo survivors want that, but swf dont want to lose the easy mode.

Are you guys having fun with the new no stun bug?
How often are you guys instantly getting tunneled or camped?.
How often do you guys win now?.
Are killers playing more "rude"?.
Are you running into more slugging builds than before?.
How often do you actually use DS?
Now:
My own experience playing survivor since the all kill patch in case you are wondering.
1. This bug needs to be fixed asap since it makes weak pallets weaker and strong pallets weaker.
2. Out of 10 matches today I got facecamped 7 and instantly tunneled all matches when there was no obsession even if the unhooker was injured.
3. Not as often anymore.
4. Been noticing that killers have been more rude but I don't really mind that.
5.in fact yes, I'm starting to see more sluggers than before.
6. I don't get value so I don't use it at all, I have been using more obsession perks though.
This is a legit question from a killer main to survivor mains.
Bugs are never fun, for either side.
Tunneling and Camping are on the rise for sure, leading to very dry games. I really consider going back to swf, because then you can handle it.
I win far less, but i still escape often enough (meaning i am the only one escaping with not much gens done) I rate games where all gens are done differently. At the moment, a key nerf might kill the game for me.
Yes they are, not slugging, but just all in all more toxic, because they dont do it as a strategy, but rather "to show those damn survivors they can", at least that is the feeling i get.
I dont use ds, and havnt used it before. Before however, i encountered tunneling far less than people claimed it happend. Maybe i just was lucky, but i belive a lot of survivors tend to inflate those incidents. Now it happens almost every game i participate in. Although there are still killers that go out of their way to avoid tunneling.
-
The only problem i have is with iri-heads, and even that is ok until you see them every game against huntress, like right now.
Noed, devour hope, they all come into play late and you have plenty of time dealing with them before.
Ghostface and myers have to work for their instadown.
MYC activates for 60 secs while the killer is far away, just hide for some time if he comes back, same for haunted grounds.
Bubba is a little annoying, but can be dodged, unless he is insidious camper, then you have to let one go and gen rush (but i play only solo survivor, so most of the time he just picks up one.
The thing is, that you need such things vs good swf, or you have no way of dealing with it as killer.
So it comes down to matchmaking, and the balance difference between solo and swf.
-
IF i see huntress at the moment, which isnt rare, she always uses iri heads, so i think it might be because people expect an iri nerf coming soon.

Seven of the killers are female Nurse, Huntress, Hag, Pig, Spirit, Plague, Twins(Charlotte), (8 if you count Legion though technically they are a combination of both).
Still they could add more to balance it our and their are some good possibilities.
- Samara Morgan from the Ring
- Tiffany from Bride of Chucky
- Wednesday From The Addams Family
- Mallory from Natural Born Killers
- Beatrix from Harry Potter
- The Borg Queen from Star Trek
How many people has Wednesday killed? Because thats like, a precondition for being a killer?
-
I am a solo survivor main and i escape 75% of my games in red ranks. Game seems ok for me.

Yes, I know. I had 2 pips per game, so I expect to achieve red ranks soon
easy then, record your games, and send us the link to the red rank games (where you played vs red ranks as well, not you being the only red rank in the game). then, lets see how well you do.

I play both side of the game, more survivor then killer but I have noticed a pattern. As the topic suggests if a killer and survivor do the same things it's treated very differently.
here are some examples
- killer puts everyone down with no way for them to save one another = slugging and that's a crime
- survivors rush gens and finish the game in a few minutes = get better at finding us
- a killer camps a hook knowing there someone there to rescue the hooked = insults and loss of emblem points
- survivors body block to make hooking someone impossible = It's a tactic to win get over it
- a killer face camps someone = don't worry about it you can unhook from any side; killer can only hook from the front. Oh and grabs don't work properly half the time.
- survivors blind a killer while they're in an animation of breaking a pallet = all good just bring light born.
- The thing won't let me type without the bullets now but whatever. The devs have flat out said that tunneling and camping is a valid tactic; if that's the case answer me this. Why did they change the game to punish killers for being in the proximity of the hooked person? Why did they change the game mechanics so you can unhook someone from any side but the killer can still only hook from the front? If body blocking is a fair tactic for survivors and hooks the killer should be able to do it too. Mind you I don't do these things if I can help it as a killer because I know how annoying they really are.
- I've noticed for a few of the things survivors don't like the team has gone in and changed the game mechanics and scoring system to discourage and protect against it. However anything killers don't like; they throw out perks to counter it. If you don't have access to those perks for whatever reason on a all your killers too bad, but survivors; we'll change how the game plays for you. Yes some perks have been changed and just look at all the topics complaining about it and how unfair people think it is.
- The one game mechanic changed against survivors in all the time I've been playing is no longer getting free chase points from and AFK killer.
Well, the thing is the killer has every advantage over one survivor. The balance lies in the game being a 4v1. That means 2 things:
Surviors have to take a risk with unhooking, blinding, bodyblocking, because its not rare to get down trying one of those.
Killers that camp and tunnel just use their 1v1 advantage which they clearly have and try to stop the game there for that one person they got, instead of spreading his attention to give a fair game as it was meant to play. And thats why its scummy.
Think of it as any other one on one compatition like boxing, where you intentionaly pair a weak opponent vs someone 4 times better, like an 8 year old boxing beginner vs a heavywight proffessional boxer. Seems fair to you? Because thats what you doing as killer if you just ignore the rest of the players by camping and tunneling.
However, i as a solo survivor, dont agree with the "just pressure gens" argument. When i started the game, the whole pace of the game was slower, and thus a lot more relaxed for killers (part of that was due to old ruin). I liked the game better then. If the game is too fast paced for killers (and a part of that depends on the killer charakter chosen, another on the killer player) there might be an issue.
But by covering that issue up by adepting scummy tactics, they never get adressed, and the circle continues.
-
Well, to me ds was a waste of a perk slot before, because tunneling in my games where not that common as other people seem to have experienced.
Now, however, tunneling is in the rise. Now it might become worth a slot.

I’ve used DS a lot ever since it got nerfed and I’ve been able to use it against killers that actually tunnel. I felt bad for running it before because there would be times the killer that was just trying to do their objective and still got hit with 59-second DS. Now, I don’t have to feel bad for running it and I’ll only be able to punish killers for actually playing scumming.
Also, I haven’t been hit with one DS while I played killer ever since the nerf. It’s because I try my best to not tunnel.
I gotta give BHVR credit where credit is due. The perk is in a good spot now as it will still be able to encourage healthy gameplay.
To be fair, i dont run ds at all, and havnt run it before, but there has been a rise in tunneling, so it really is needed. I would like them to complete the Anti-tunneling-agenda of that perk by dropping the time limit as long as you dont progress the game in any way, as well as activating after every unhook. Would still only hit tunnelers, but would hit them a lot harder.
-
I would be ok with that, under 2 conditions:
DS ONLY deactivates if you get healed, or the existing conditions, anything that progresses the game. If you dont progress the game, it doesnt deactivate. No time limit.
It activates after every hook.
As you said, its and anti-tunneling perk, so it should work with that.

This actually is a pretty decent idea...
Rewards survivors for doing the totems, helps the solo survivor, but keeps the power of the perk.
I'd modify it though... have it break the Hex totem, but let the totem migrate to the next available dull totem until they are out. Do that and I'm behind this idea 100 percent.
It only keeps the power of the perk if its the only hex perk. If you get any other hex perk, it just became worse.
-
IF a survivor can run the killer for the majority of the game, the issue is not about exhaustion, its about skill difference and thus, matchmaking.
Yeah, it should be adressed, but in the right way.

Link to the wiki page in case you want to read its current description: https://deadbydaylight.fandom.com/wiki/Decisive_Strike
The DS nerf basically consists of a series of actions that will deactivate the perk until you get unhooked again.
In this post, I'll go through every action that deactivates the perk, and why it doesn't affect the true purpose of using this perk: making the killer waste a lot of time, pressure and gens in case they decide to tunnel you.
I'll start with the easy/obvious points, and continue with the not so obvious ones.
- Cleansing a Totem: my dude, if you are doing bones you clearly aren't being tunnelled.
- Sabotaging a Hook: there are 2 scenarios, either you are randomly saboing hooks which makes no sense, or you are trying to save a teammate who is about to be hooked. In the latter scenario, you are not being tunnelled because in fact, the killer chased another survivor. You don't need DS.
- Repairing a Generator: 2 scenarios here again, either you are gen tapping which makes no sense during a chase, plus this mechanic shouldn't even be allowed in the game, or you are chilling sitting on a gen. If you have time to repair a gen, you are not being tunnelled.
- Healing yourself: if you have time to be self-caring, you aren't being tunnelled because the killer would have simply downed you.
- Healing other survivors: same as above.
- Unhooking other Survivors: this situation is kinda tricky, however usually means the killer chased another survivor, hooked him, and you are going for the save. Hence, the killer didn't chase you for a long time so you weren't being tunneled.
Overall this nerf has been a pretty healthy one for the game, and the perk is still useful against tunnelling.
If the killer, however, decides to keep chasing you after you DSed them, they'll lose a huge amount of time and pressure. DS worked.
You could sum up DS nerf as:
If you are able to make progress in the game, you are not being tunnelled, hence no need for DS.
Are you aware that you can heal while in a chase? If you juke the killer, and he is searching for you, yes, he tunnels you, yet you could use the time to partially heal.
But lets say you are right with this points. Then i still have some questions and possibly tweekss:
Why should the perk has a limitet time frame? The argument to deactivate it is you progress the game. Why deactivate it while you are being tunneled just because the killer needs some time to down you again?
Limited uses: If it is to hinder tunneling, why does it only work ones? Should it not work every time you are unhooked until you do something to progress the game?

How exactly would it bring solo up to swf level, can you explain? I play in europe, and a lot of people i have to play with can´t even write in english. How would it put me up if they could yell to me in russian (which i dont speak)?
-
Funnily, yesterday i had 3 killers complaining about gen rushing, while they just tried to tunnel and we got the heat of the tunneld survivors, even though it was in solo queue, and only one game involved a 2-swf.
And dont get me wrong, i dont use ds anyway, but i stil think the change went a little bit too far.
one of two things will happen: Gen rush increases, and people get better at looping because they have to, and/or survivors learn how to better cover each other. Or, finally, swf just increases. I will play swf more often now, if the opportunity arise. And thats only indirectly connected to the ds change, because its a result of more killers tunneling.

How though? She really doesn’t have any weaknesses compared to the rest of the cast
She has insane mobilty and is great at pressuring gens that are higher up
she has exceptional chase potential and is by far the best killer at getting downs
She has the best snowball in the game besides maybe oni
i don’t see how this is balanced
I think the only problem comes from the fact that many survivors want to be able to play every killer the same way. Yes, she dominates chases, and she also has a good mobility, but that alone doesn´t ensure wins. It only does because people insist about gettin in chases with her anyway.
I think its a good thing that some killers can dominate chases, and others can´t. But those dominating chases shouldnt just be approached that way.

Oh and btw, Spirit players can go eat a [BAD WORD]. Let's be honest, all you guys do is tunnel and use cheap tactics to thin the heard. Requires no skill at all.
Na, just like sweaty swf, its just the minority of spirit players, so it is not an issue.
-
Well, we could start by kicking everyone using no mither until people stop using it. Doing it with self care is a little bit harder, but if you see someone use that, just kick them.
Also, it makes things easier for swf, because you got a key, and 3 gens done, but that stupid random ....just kick him, and go find the hatch together.
Na, will only be used as intended, noone would abuse such thing.

Nice strawman argument there. In no way did I advocate for anyone to play SWF.
It's easy enough to find other survivors in the game. There are even some perks you can equip to help.
Unless you are playing at low ranks, it's pretty rare for other survivors not to heal you. Everyone is usually greedy for BP's and altruism.
If you rarely run DS, then why are you bothered by the nerf?
First, i usually play in red rank, mostly rank 2/3, and it becomes much more common, because a lot of solo survivors dont care about teamwork anymore and try to genrush each game, thus they are not healing you. If your experience is different, it might be a regional thing, since i have lots of russian players in my games, and they tend to play that way.
The change doesnt bother me as much as you seem to think, i just bring up a point i belive is valid, even if it just effects me secondarily (because survivors that run it start to play different).

How about healing when it's appropriate to do so? It's the same concept behind not unhooking survivors directly in front of the killer.
If you find that your self healing is getting interrupted, then find a teammate to heal you instead. That way they get some altruism, you retain DS until fully healed, and they can tank a hit for you if needed.
So, you advocate to play swf instead of solo. Because in solo, you cant even rely on people healing you, and tanking a hit for you while still unhooked and you are injured and on death hook is still a rare thing (if enough gens are done at least). I play only solo, and i experienced that time and again.
But i run ds next to never anyway, even before the change (only if i have a daily or challange with a survivor with no "better" perks), so it really does not affect myself. But still this things do happen.
-
@Pulsar said:
Kinda like if you can do a gen or fully heal, you aren't being tunneled
working on a gen, yes, healing, no. It is quite simple to be tunneled and still heal, like on paletts, or if you try to juke the killer. You can use that while he tunnels you. Also, if you get away and try to heal, and the killer comes back to the hook or follows you where you did go, he is still tunneling, even if you are not in a chase then. Yes, you had time to heal yourself for 2 seconds, but still.
I believe healing oneself should only deactivate ds once you are fully healed again.
Edit: also i saw DS used several time yesterday, and in 2 cases it let the user escape through the exit gate after being unhooked. Its not useless.

I've had a lot of games recently where survivors just hide and don't touch gens.
Typically this happens when you have 2 survivors left and they're trying to wait each other out (I have no idea why they do this but whatever), but I've also started having games where 3 and (once) all 4 survivors all starting hiding and not doing gens.
It's happened enough that I'm wondering if this is a new BM strat for SWF or something?
The fraustrating thing is that I've been trying to move away from using whispers on every killer, but I feel it's general utility and the problems I'm having once survs go full stealth mode are making it mandatory.
I doubt anyone is going to agree- I'd personally love whispers to be basekit sort of like the heartbeat is for survs. Obviously modified, but I don't understand who is actually having fun in a game where the killer isn't actually interacting with the survivors in any way.
Well, thats what killers taught solo survivors. When 2 are left, and you do gens, then you are the one that is found and gets killed, while the one hidding often survives.
And while some killers claim they go for the other one instead, i never had such a killer myself. I had one telling me he would have liked to kill the other instead but couldn´t find him, which is kind of the point of hidding.
It starts happen with 3 ppl alive, but very rarly, and most often if 2 of them are an swf and just wait for the last to get caught or finish a gen so the hatch spawns or something.
Well killers, survivors do learn the lessons you teach them.

I hate to break it t ya but tricksters recoil makes it so its 90% luck where the knife goes. It is not at all fixed even in the slightest and is extremely horozontal. Getting caught with no cover is a death sentence against literally every killer especially ranged ones.
I hate to break it to ya, but did you know that 97.8% of people using percentages in casual conversations just make the numbers up they use?
-
Keys are somewhat of a backup plan for solos, because you soo often have dcs, hooksuicide, or just bad allies, a lot of things swf dont have to deal with. A key helps the solos keep fighting instead of running to the killer to suicide as well.
I dont like the idea of the hatch spawning only when all gens are done, because all too often i am the one getting found on a gen, while the other guy just hides. Now, if i start to do that as well, the game can take a long time. And i dont need to idle, i just need to repair a gen for 5 seconds and then stealth away. If you kick the gen, it wont go anywhere, but i am not the one not going for progress, so i am not holding the game hostage.
SWF should not even need the key, so i think the change that only one survivor passes trough might be ok. However, that might lead to more toxicity, like "he got a key, better let him die on the hook and take the key myself", which might not be healthy.
-
@TicTac said:
You could heal him and he could bodyblock with two health states and ds. I often have the problem as solo survivor that nobody looks at the hook counter. They want to be healed first and dont take a hit when im injured and they are full health. And that was before ds was nerfed.
When a survivor sacrifices me and dies bc of that in the long run, its a problem bc the survivor is bad. So i hope MMR fixes that.
For the second problem i think we shouldnt need a perk to stop tunneling. We need a better solution. But spreading damage is not viable. So other strategies then tunneling need to be more viable. And i know you dont need to tunnel against most solos. I play 95% solo survivor and its sometimes a mess. But with this teammates i dont deserve to win if im totally honest.
Sure solos dont do that, because i belive a lot have experienced what i did. You do something like that, distracting the killer because you are the only one not on death hook while the others heal and open the gate, and the killer gets you. Even if they dont camp, you will more often than not die on that hook, because the other guys dont care about you. I even had one game where the hatch had spawned, i got a key, and i unhooked the only other survivor, bodyblock the killer so he gets away, and after he healed himself just waited for me to die, because he too had found the hatch.
My most favorite game was a game with a 3-swf where i brought a key. Then i run the killer for 4 gens, then got downed, and the killer went on patrolling. Then the swf came to the hook, teabagged me until i died, took my key and escaped. When i asked why, they just told me "you didnt even work on a gen, you dont deserve to escape". I died on the only hook that game saw.
Now, how often do things like this need to happen to you so you decide you dont care about the others anymore? For me, it took around 5 k hours in this game. Now i still help, but i dont risk anything for you (unless you have proven in the match you are worth the risk, then i am willing to die to save you. But you get those teammates not often.)

Oh, that remindes me of my time playing WoW. When i think of all the games that came out and were "WoW-Killers" for sure, because they would be so much better...is any of them still around? Wait, WoW is...not nearly as popular, but still around, on contrast to all its killers.
Also, i see the new killer and the new surviviors a lot, so someone must be buying it.
-
I dont think the forum is that killer sided. Some people just put any perspective they don´t like in the "survivor main" or "killer main" corner.
I for one play only solo survivor, but i used to play killer as well, and slowly starting to doing so again. So i know both sides, and i really really belive the game is survivorsided, in its core. But playing solo, just one potatoe can ruin the whole match, and since there are many survivor potatoes, it happens not too rarly. But that doesnt change that most killers are basicly lost against competent survivors, and even more so if they are swf with comms.
But thus, i am put into the killer corner time and again, even though i play way more as a survivor, and always have.

Nah. He will definitely get buffed. He is universally considered to be pretty bad by even the most entitled survivors and most optimistic killers, so I don't doubt for a second that he'll get something more within a patch or two.
His power is scary. I don't blame the devs for being nervous about making it too powerful. But he absolutely needs something more- he's literally better played as an M1 killer than ever using his powers or his Main Event- and that's just crazy considering he is only 110% movement speed instead of 115%.
IMO, I think they desperately need to tweak Main Event (like... if they only change one single thing about him... make it THAT) and perhaps lower the amount of knives it takes to down or injure. I hesitate to say that he needs to have his movement speed upped, but that is also a reasonable option if they didn't choose to lower the amount of knives needed for a down.
I would like to wait with that. I played several games vs that killer today, and while most of them had only one or two kills, i meet at least one who dominated the whole game, even though i thought it was a decent team.
Sure, maybe the team screwed up anyways, but maybe he has a more unique playstyle than people think and they just have to learn the ropes.
But thats basicly the same discussion that happens almost every chapter. I remember a lot of "op" killers that weren´t that op 2 weeks later when survivors had learned how to play against them.
But if he really is too weak, he certainly deserves a buff.

I wonder how many people who say "do bones" actually won games by doing what they preach.
Maybe once or twice every 500 games I assume?
The point is, theoretically it works but realistically it doesn't. Especially in a Solo Q situation.
I have. On a regular basis. And i play solo survivor only.
Actually, the ruin/undying and the devour hope/undying is much more of an issue.
Usually, i need neither perks nor maps for going against noed, because i know most of the spots, and can check them while going from one gen to another, sometimes even while being in a chase. So you do 2-4 totems during the match, and when there is one gen left, you go for the rest to avoid noed. Easy.
But Undying/ruin or devour hope forces me to use a map and detectives hunch, because you get a lot of survivors now that just do nothing as long as ruin is up, or just fall like flies, because if devour hope becomes active, i cant check all the spots fast enough.
Also, soo many people don´t do dull totems they see, even while searching for ruin.
Thats why with the old undying, people did dull totems, and noed was no issue in that time.
-
Yesterday someone posted a video of a streamer claiming that its survivors fault, because the killer does not find another survivor in time...like the survivor have to show himself to the killer, so he dont go back...
Thats like saying killers are responsibile for gen rushing for not pressuring gens.

Ähm, yes? IF the opponents are better, they shouldnt be playing against each other? If Mike Tyson is boxing against an 8 year-old, would you tell the 8year old too there were no balance issue? I think you have no idea what you are talking about.

From my experience, the average swf is more then beatable. it’s those tournament level deathsquads that can be classified as almost unbeatable. Am i saying dbd is not survivor sided? No, dbd is survivor sided but a lot of people have a tendency to blame swf for there loss as killer when in fact 99% of the time it’s actually just human error in the killers behalf.
If anything, what should be taken account into dbd is map. I would rather verse a top level swf on dead dawg saloon (very killer sided map) then verse a average swf on mother’s dwelling (very survivor sided). why? because map has a lot more of an input in the games output then any other factor.
TL;DR The reason most killers loose to swf is error on the killers behalf more then it is good survivors, yes you can get good survivors every bit the chance of you getting put with deathsquads it’s very low.
Same logic can also apply to survivor, you didn’t loose because the killer tunneled and camped, you lost because you as a survivor made mistakes and wrong decisions.
end of my ted talk.
The average swf might be beatable, but are they beatable by the average killer? because thats who they are paired against.

no i dont, because i stopped playing killer. You should work on your reading comprehension.
-
Well, i used old moris, the second most op thing in the game, to deal with the most op thing in the game, swf.
Now, i dont run moris, because i just dont play killer anymore. Even as solo survivor, the game is just much more relaxing. But i take a break from the game much more often, because the change of pace i desire from time to time is not provided ingame anymore, so i just play something else.
-
Yeah, i hear it time and again in this forum. Killer is absolut OP and easy mode.
I guess its so easy noone wants to play it, as they all just search for a challenge.
(can include traces of irony and/or sarcasm)

I think its not an issue about the perks, its about the skill difference between you and your opponents, and thats all matchmaking...
-
Since i never run ds anyway (because i dont see tunneling of the hook that often in red ranks, to me its a wasted perk) i dont care much.
-
So i learned from you: If i can´t get you on the first hook, i dont need to bother to come to you at all. Check.

I really think it's unnecessary.
Empathy/Bond is much better for map awareness and team healing than self care. More people should realize this.
I HAVE to run it since my teammates will most likely run Self Care so I don't end up wasting my time.
If people started to use better more efficient perks, they'll realize Self Care is trash.
Ok, i want to learn from you. How do you prevent your teammates from not healing you? I had that more than once, that i wasnt healed, instead a gen was fixed (that hasnt been worked on) and once it was fixed they still run away without healing me.
The first time it happend i was puzzled, but when the killer came, he went for the easy target - the injured one. Maybe its because of my region, i play with lots of russians, but it happens very often, including bodyblocking me so the killer wont chase the others (not injured ones).
So what perks do i have to take to prevent that situation? Until you bring up a reliable answer, i keep running self care.

how is my logic flawed? did you even read the whole post? I stated that those are the tools that the killer uses to combat gen rushing. Not that anyone wants killers to do that. Good killers included. I said at the end that after they balance the game they should find ways to punish tunneling and camping as they wont be needed if the game is balanced.
your logic is flawed, because your argument applies to only a part of the killer community. There are others that will camp and tunnel anyway, no matter if gens pop or not. As a solo survivor, i see it often enough, when killer camp and tunnel with no gen done at all.
anyways, i had games where the 5. gen popped with 3 survivors alive, and the killer managed to get a 4k, because everyone was already hooked twice. The game is not over at 3 gens, and not even at 5 gens (thats why blood warden and noed exist (and should; dont nerf noed, its just a survivors decicion to slow the game down by doing totems or get hit by it after!). Its over when noone is left to escape (or to kill).

Little newsflash for you: some people actually aren't that good at this game, meaning the offerings and items they bring, and their SWF comms don't actually do ######### for them because if you don't know how to play the game you're gonna lose no matter what you do.
The problem is that the killer needs a higher skill level compared to the skill level of the survivors if they are swf opposed to solo survivors.
But until now, matchmaking doesnt take this into account, and thus, swf becomes a problem due to the advantage it gives.
Ignoring that either shows bias or no real knowledge of game balance.

It rewards the survivor for playing like #########, oh I messed up on a loop just press e or oh I need distance, e and it takes no skill to use just e and you win the game. My opinions to fix this is make it a one time use or just completely rework it. It's on of the most op ######### in this game. Oh and I better not see any "what about noed" yeah well you can ######### break noed and you can't break dh it's just that ######### simple.
Can you explain how it rewards bad play? What benefit does the player get from the mistake you wouldn´t have gotten without the mistake?
