You can do a gen with hyperfocus before eruption even comes into play, there is a counter.

....I'm not bothered by the regression. It's Eruption's incapacitated. Or do you mean to see regressing generators and stay away? That would be a) assuming they only regress because of eruption and b) probkematic since you run out of gens you consider repair-able. With caution I mean mostly two-manning it - ideally with a toolbox or gen perks - when someone calls out the killer is headed toward them and they pre-run; that should usually buy enough time to finish it.
The only positive about it in soloQ is the 25secs of foolery if another surv got hit with you and you just do the same shenanigans as you would with a painres-dms gen. You get to know your teamies that way - and maybe they come help you later.
I meant the yellow aura, to keep in mind that gen is trapped, but then again as I said soloq teammates are not reliable to do the basic gameplay like looping an m1 killer.

Calling out when you're about to go down is actually a questionable strategy since there are so many bs hits / misses you couldn't possibly forsee it and call it out half the time. - Calling out gens that have been kicked and should be approached with caution is more reliable if you're on comms anyway.
As far as SoloQ is concerned: rip.
If it bothers you too much rookie spirit helps with info against call of brine, overcharge and eruption, but since soloq survivors seem to be so good at the game they cannot dunk on a sadako, yeah its kinda hard knowing when theyll go down.
-
I mean its one of my favourite perks too, but its a shame its useless against swf, still doesn't beat shadowborn.

only change id say dh needs is having mettles new "special endurance thats not endurance" so it can be used in deep wound
then again, its not necessary, only 2 killers really counter dh

Have you never missed a great skill check?
Yeah, im distracted while I play survivor a lot, I play videos on the background and music, I miss pretty often there.
But if I have a challenge or I wanna hit them on purpose while sweating in a match then id say I will land 9/10.

@Tsela said:
Of course it's difficult. That's the point of the perk. Those generators would pop on rapid fire if it was easy
Since when is it difficult? It just requires you to put a little bit more attention to it, the only reason I can find for people not to hit them consistently is:
A) performance issues like console or an old pc.
B) the player has a health problem which isn't their fault and expecting them to hit them is absurd.
C) you are distracted.
Aside from those I cannot see how you cannot just hit those every time a skillcheck appears, its like failing the mercyless storm / overcharge skillcheck, its imposible aside from this cases.

Her add ons are about the same as Slingers, they're either decent or complete garbage.
"if she gets a shot it will be guaranteed damage unlike slinger" I mean its guaranteed damage for Slinger as well if the Survivor ain't injured, and it leaves them with having to mend which wastes time, giving him basekit slowdown. (it ain't much, but its something) You also shouldnt be going for shots you aren't guaranteed to get a hit if a Survivor is injured.
Another thing thing is he only takes 0.4 seconds to ADS, and his "warning" sound is VERY subtle and you ain't hearing that in the middle of a chase. Compare that to Huntress' which takes 1.25 seconds for a much slower projectile. To reach the same speed as his harpoon she needs to fully charge a hatchet, which is 3 seconds.
He also doesn't have a Lullaby like Huntress but a bigger TR, granting him better synergy with perks.
Im not saying Slinger is better than Huntress, she definitely has more upsides that I didn't mention here. But Slinger definitely does a few things better than her and is far from a weak killer. His position in this tierlist is pretty fair
I mean man, as a slinger main I have to admit, the only reason I 4k or wreck a team is because they let that happen, they could mop the floor with me if they really wanted to, but for some reason they trhow the match, you offer convincing argumenta but nothing will change my mind that the second slinger faces good players he is just plain bad.

Can't the same be said for Huntress?
Mostly yeah, but she has good addons, if she gets a shot it will be guaranteed damage unlike slinger, can hit through pallets, and has infinite range, making slinger just a downgrade, I main slinger and frankly im stupid af, which is the only reason I play him over huntress, that and the fisherman skin.
Because tbh there is no reason to pick slinger when huntress is a character that exists.

if you go for the most obvious shots maybe
He has a fully telegraphed animation and a warning sound how is it that a survivor gets sniped for example?, each shot/snipe I get I know for a fact the survivor could have dodged that.
-
How on earth is slinger that high, dodging his gun is easy af now.
-
I think its fine, being able to build bloodlust while using an antiloop power should not be the case, and yes I know dredge's antiloop is really bad but I think the right way is to buff it rather than just slap bloodlust into it.

You are lying. Hillbilly is still an awesome killer in the right hands.
Any good player will loop a billy for ages, give a good survivor a good setup and not even the best billy will get them under 60 seconds, what are you on about?
-
If its truly a sweat squad and not just a swf with flashlights then the answer is: why not? They know how to play survivor and if they are good and are on comms they will win guaranteed most games, so there is no risk in making fun of say a sadako, whats she gonna do to them? They don't have to respect the killer when they know in the end they will win and move to the next match.

I have extremely severe tinnitus from like a decade of shooting guns w/o hearing protection (and that one time my uncle came over with a homemade black powder cannon). Some headsets are fine, others hurt my ears very badly even when they aren't making any noise. Just the electronic signals or white noise or whatever it is. Like how TVs make a sound even when they're turned off but still plugged in.
Cheaper headsets tend to be more comfortable. Like my $20 Wal-Mart headset has lasted me two years, but more expensive headsets tend to be very painful to wear for more than an hour. I also really hate talking on the phone for similar reasons. It makes a static-y sound that hurts.
Thx for the reply

He should be buffed yes! His shot sound should be nerfed..can't be fun for people that use headphones? I have tinnitus so can't use that and still that sound..I hate it.
I don't mean to be rude but can people with tinitus wear headphones and the like? , Like doesn't that dmage the ear more?
-
A good tip is to do things quick, even tho they can hear you, you can be so fast it doesn't matter, mind you im talking about default spirit, so this translates to short burst, probably one of the best antiloop in the game, try to basically phase in move a little to one side then the other, phase out and 8/10 the survivor is gonna be outpositioned and you will get a hit.
If this doesn't work,I am guaranteed to use an iri coin on random meg #3.

@Regulus47 said:
The thing is, being 110% doesn't really affect mobility. Look at Scott Junds video about it. All it really does is affect chase ability. Killers are 110% usually because they have a crazy ranged or movement ability that dominates in chase, such as huntress, spirit, hag and hopefully in the future blight. Making a killer 110% has one purpose, and that's to make it harder for them to get hits without using their power, usually to curb their chase oppressiveness a little to make it fair.
In terms of deathslinger, he has a crazy ranged ability that dominates in chase. Yes, you can argue it's weaker than other 110% killers, but it still makes him an absolute chasing powerhouse and easily one of the stronger killers in the game if you can remotely aim. Making him 115% not only wouldn't make sense cause of his leg brace, but it would make this chase power (and his zoning power) even stronger.
Some killers like artist, pyramid head and nemesis can get away with being 115% because their powers, although being extremely strong in chase, aren't really something you ONLY use in a chase. Pyramid head for example doesn't use his laser every single time, and it's got a very limited range, similar to nemesis who requires three hits for his first down. Artist is a little more contentious but I don't mind her being 115%. Deathslinger though would be torture at 115% because he does use his power all the time, and increased movement speed would just make this power even stronger due to how quickly he can aim and shoot. He would be a nightmare to fight.
Slinger is one of the easiest killers to beat since his changes, also "how quickly he can aim" are we forgeting the artritis mechanic that lets everyone dodge a hit very easily?
I am a slinger main and almost 4/5 shots or snipes I get make me absolutelly cringe at how survivors let me get away with then when they should avoid it 9/10 times.

Funniest part to me is that people actually have convinced themselves there is a win condition for either side. If you don't get max points possible, you lost the game. There is only BPs to game, there are no wins or losses. LMFAO
Nah, a killer that lets everyone escape might as well be a bot, they didn't changed the course of the game, they were as impactful as macmillan plant asset #08.
-
I dont DC against sadako, but I hate versing her, just give my my damn 5k escape points and get the hastle over with, but its refreshing to have some guranteed wins once in a while so in that aspect I give props to people who play her.

Victor already exists?, hag too, sadako too, pig too, even freddy is pretty short I honestly see short people in dbd.

Forced penance is way to low, considering healing is so strong, it is a good perk in comp scenarios or sweaty matches.

The developers need to make the game fair for solo-queue, no one wants to play an unfair competitive game. The killer should get 50% kills on average, Solo-queue should get 50% escapes on average. None of this "unstoppable force" stuff. Just a flat 50/50. They had it relatively close to that before this patch, I don't know why they're not working to getting this patch close to that.
You can't just throw a patch that's unbalanced and not tweak it.
If you do this with current soloq then that means any swf will completely stomp any killer, if a soloq team of people that have no idea when to rescue, counter the killers power and even when to heal has a 50/50 chance of winning, then a team who knows how to play the game decently is effectively unbeatable.

Putting wraith that low is insane. He is easily B tier and with certain perks/addon playstyle A tier easily. I slap as wraith with gen kick build
Wraith is just a glorified m1 killer, easy af to loop and counter, any decent team will dunk on him.

I play Sadako since release almost constantly and she is fun. Fun is not dry numbers and perfomance charts (otherwise everyone should play nurse and blight). She just feels nice. She is comfortable to play. Her power, her animation, lots of small things that builds up into whole fun. Fun is just experience, not her strength.
But recently stopped playing killer because queue time is abhorent, can't blame anyone though, because survivor experience is down to the floor frustrating. So I moved more to other games. Sorry, a little less Sadako in the queues.
Idk what kind of lobbies you have but nurse and blight make the majority of matches, at least for me, so yes I think fun and effectiveness intercept at some point.
-
How can you not find her? She has a lullaby and directional tp sound, got em.

@Phasmamain said:
Huntress, Demo and Slinger for me. All lead to fun chase with interactions on both sides and all 3 require a good amount of knowledge and skill from the killer perspective
Slinger is very easy to outplay even if he plays good atm, he is outclassed by huntress in almost everything he does.

Because MMR is not based on skill. Its based on kills/escapes. Because of that you could get killers who got barely any hooks all match then rake in kills because of Noed. Or baby survivors who hid all match and walked out the exit thanks to the work of their team mates.
Depends, as survivor yeah its absurd it is based on escapes, but as killer, kills are what matters, a killer that got a 0k might as well have been tutorial trapper or afk, they did nothing that affected the course of the game, and deserved their mmr lowered.
-
Why are you complaining about free escape points?
-
I play for the 12 kill because in all honestly I wanna show off, I play addonless slinger and no slowdown, if a team loses to me, man they have to be very bad at the game to not beat a meme killer with no advantages.
But yeah going for the 12 hook is handicapping yourself I dont think anyone will disagree on that.
-
I mean they haven't said or done anything against the terms of service, and they won, yes they are sore winners but if they bested you its hard to argue with them.
-
Almost never, I have never got any pity kills nor anything of the sort so giving hatch would be foolish, but there is one exception and that is if someone is being sandbagged/bodyblocked etc by a swf or a random, then at least give them hatch for having to put up with those kinds of people.
-
Idk I kinda want to see it released, see how some people manage to use it, specially people who are good at the game and will use not to prevent camping but to just destroy the pressure a hooked survivor has and go away with overcome or what not.
Like when comp teams knew how to make camaraderie an incredibly good perk, yet the average player thinks its trash because they lack so much knowledge of how it can be used.
-
Plague could get one, but pig is tied to licenses so it might be harder to do.

Well it also an accessibility feature for hearing and vision impaired players. This is a larger issue for the Devs to fix and I'm not suggesting that you need to run a perk for this community to play the game.
There does need to be a counter to stealth killers - the game needs balance and spine chill catches undetectable whereas aura reading does not.
Stealth killers are by themselves weak af, why should they have a perk that dunks on them even more?, And as a matter of fact each stealth killer in the game has mechanics to detect them before they can pull any moves on you, some more obvious than others like sadakos lullaby for example.
-
@Taxman232 said:
I dont know what you are talking about, Spine Chill has not been buffed. The killer needs to have clear line of sight and the effect lingers, meaning you dont have live info on where the killer is looking. Previously it was looking in your direction, so even through walls you got the notification.
Plus they removed the vault speed (which I agree never should have been part of the perk).
It now lights up if the killer is within 32 meters, making every stealth killer a joke if you have eyes, not that they weren't before, just a little more.

Yeah lol it's a nurse, just look at any post on here suggesting any mild nerf or rework
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/GNBS6M463QL6/59eamo.png
I do not play nurse, primarily because I literally do not know how to play her and mess up almost all my blinks, that said I will not show any mercy to any survivors under any circumstances, in all my hours of playing dbd not once has a survivor showed me a shed of empathy/respect, why should I give them mercy so they BM and send me threaths after that?
Main point of this comment is, not all bitter players play nurse, some of us main other killers.

I agree. It’s like saying every other killer is useless because Nurse exists.
As much as I disagree with OP, this is kinda true, even the best trapper or slinger will get dunked on by a decent swf making the useless, while nurse can compete against them, maybe blight too.
-
Im a killer main, so I just play a selected set of survivors, mainly RE ones since im a big fan and the ones I got cosmetics for in the rift, so I don't even have her, in fact I have not bought any survivor since the release of the blight, with the exeption of yoichi because I like his raincoat.

But still you won there are worser maps than the game for killers. Once you get rid of pallets you will start to get easy downs.
If the survivors somehow haven't done all gens by that time yes, but any decent team will be out of the match before they run out of pallets in that map.
-
Agreed, they are realy easy to loop and you can have a good time in a long chase.

@D2night said:
It doesn’t actually hurt the killer EVERY time, if a gen is tapped before 12 seconds because half of the time people miss the skillcheck and lose a chunk of progress
How can half the people fail that?, its not hard to land.

Depends, if you play killer you should be thankfull you havent played in garden of pain before, but as survivor, yeah its pretty unlucky.
-
Ok what can stop a recently hooked survivor from just running and activating all hags traps, deactivating trapppers traps, sealing demos portals etc since they are not conspicuous actions and the survivor is ending all killer set-up while being at zero risk.
-
Myers, because there is nothing original about him, his power is just glorified haunted grounds, playing against him is boring I want to get out as soon as possible and face someone with an actual power.

@Aven_Fallen said:
Yes, they intended to get rid of the PR + DMS-Combo.
But since Pain Resonance and Merciless Storm were a thing so that many Skill Checks spawned when the Gen went down due to Pain Resonance, they reinstaded the Scream. The Killer will not be notified, so no explosion, but with DMS they will obviously see the blocked Generator.
This was changed with the latest Patch (6.1.2/6.1.3)
Would have made more sense to cap the duration of Merciless Storm instead of bringing back a combo they wanted to get rid of, but hey.
Wait, so it only notifies the killer if the survivor lets it happen? How is that an issue, its like complaining no one steps on your traps as trapper when you place them in the open.
-
I have no idea about it but maybe can you try it while in a lobby? And see if the error keeps happening.
