It's during Endgame by a hacker survivor in my game they are doing the thing where they are on the hook. I already started the timer but it already has timed up.
Okay then there’s not much you can do besides DCing unless you wait long enough that they get bored and end the game.
edit: just saw your next post lol
-
I figure out where the basement is and hope they won’t facecamp.
I love going against bubbas if they play normally.
-
That should be a yellow lmao.
Lost memories book should be 60 seconds too.
-
Well I’m a survivor main but the killers I play the most these days are probably bubba, spirit, and wraith. I like going against them barring facecamping bubbas which most of them are unfortunately.
-
They need a complete rework tbh. They’re extremely clunky to play and they’re miserable to go against in solos.
-
Wake Up: We already have adrenaline for the instaheal, but I like the aura-reading part.
Corrective action: Sure, anyone on any gen. I don’t think it should work against perks like oppression though.
Territorial: I mean sure? It’s still not gonna be good. Maybe they should scream as well when they open the chest.
Poised: Should also hide blood. Upping it to 15 seconds and leaving it scratchmarks-only isn’t gonna save that perk.
Hangman’s trick: I like the exposed idea but it might still be too situational. Idk.
-
No, they just overlap and you’ll see them for 5 seconds. It won’t matter whether they’re within 40 meters or not though.
-
20 meters is way too big of a radius.
If I’m defending a generator 20 meters from the hook that is actively being worked on/I’m pushing that player off the gen, am I really camping?

I don't have problems tracking survivors and I honestly don't care about Iron Will, on a competitive perspective there's almost no skill juking a Spirit with Iron Will, so it doesn't bother me.
I only play dbd because of Spirit, it's fun to track survivors by the sounds (at least it should be fun). If survivors aren't making any sound they are not appealing to me :P
Tthe folliage/dusts they help, but... boring...
My concern about the Spirit's movement speed is that there is absolutely no justifying for her being that slow.
Her being 4.6 would help to improve her map mobility. The phase is not meant to cover her weak map mobility, it's a exclusive chase intended power, mainly after the nerf but it's my opinion of course.
Her being 4.6 would not drastically change her map mobility. 4.4 vs. 4.6 is far more important in a chase than it is for getting across the map (although that’s not to say it has no effect on mobility whatsoever).
Every 4.4 killer either has a teleport or similar ability to appear in another location (hag and spirit), or has a ranged attack (huntress, slinger, trickster). Blight has neither of those, he just has high speed as long as he keeps bumping into things, but you can still see him doing it and see where he’s going. But considering that spirit is still one of the best Killers post-nerf, if anything your argument would suggest blight should be 4.4 (which I disagree with fwiw, I think blight being 4.6 is completely okay) rather than spirit being 4.6.
-
I’m waiting to see what their upcoming changes for facecamping in general are first. Then we can evaluate bubba from there.
-
Spirit’s basekit is fine.
Cherry blossom is not fine though. Screw that addon.
-
Silent bell is fine the way it is.
-
If you were swarmed in the exit gate healthy and she was somewhat close by she could m1 you twice before you can get the birds off. Artist is already a strong Killer and is fine the way she is.
-
I thought it currently did trigger when a survivor was put into deep wound? But apparently it isn’t applying exhaustion properly when that does happen.
There was some discussion about overcome + deep wound here: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/309227/pc-using-overcome-with-endurance-does-not-give-exhaustion

I believe it did in the past and its intended to work like that.
It never used to do this in the past and now suddenly it does. They either buffed it and didn’t say anything or it’s not working correctly.
-
I got bored of going against her a long time ago because she’s played so often. If I see like one huntress in 2-3 days I’m fine with that but anything more and I get tired of her fast.
I don’t inherently dislike huntress, I just want some more variety. One time I had like a 1-week span where probably 25% or more of my matches were against huntress.

I respect you for that, you're part of the minority that done use dh.
I have one specific build I rarely play where I use both DH and balanced landing. That's the only time I use it.
-
It shows you the timer on the perk icon but not on the actual undetectable status. Would be nice if it did.
Tinkerer does the same thing, and there's also no visual 10 second timer on devour hope's haste effect (it only shows a turquoise icon at the bottom).
-
There are plenty of good survivors who are good without DH and just use it anyways because they know it's a strong perk but I definitely understand what you're saying and I don't disagree that there are probably some that rely on it too much. But DH allows you to play greedy at every loop pretty much since you can correct your mistake.
I'm the opposite of you though - I'm so used to playing WITHOUT DH that whenever I do actually bring it half the time I go down without using it because I'm not thinking about it/not used to it. I play without DH like 98% of the time or more.

Gotta disagree with exponential and dark theory being weak but agree with everything else.
Have you tried exponential in a flashlight squad? Its amazing.
I'd say I've used exponential around 15 or so times in matches with my friends. In one of them we got a ton of value from it because the killer kept trying to mass slug and iirc there were a couple flashlight saves as well.
In the other 14, it did absolutely nothing and was a waste of a perk slot. We weren't all using flashlights every game though.
-
Because the entire system was overall a flop and feels rushed. COH is overpowered, exponential and dark theory are bad, and only shadow step is somewhere in the middle (but is often a waste of time nonetheless). The way the system is, individual boon perks cannot be that good or they will be broken as long as they can be infinitely relit.
I'm mostly satisfied with the new scourge hook mechanic (although gift of pain is too weak), but for boons it really feels like they just wanted to make a totem mechanic for survivors and brute-forced it in without really considering how it would play out in actual matches (in other words, it looks okay on paper, but in practice it sucks). I almost guarantee you that if COH didn't exist almost nobody would be bothering with any of these perks.
-
As survivor I mostly played Meg with...I think it was lightweight, kindred, dark sense, and sprint burst at first? I think I swapped lightweight for adrenaline at some point.
As killer I mainly played as your typical noed trapper who didn't know what they were doing. I also thought TL walls were infinites because I sucked and didn't know how to play them correctly. Nothing special really.
-
Got kicked from my next game as well. Well I guess I'm done for now, not gonna play if I can't finish a match without getting booted twice in a row. Nothing wrong with my internet btw.
-
Literally just had the same thing happen. I didn't get a dc penalty though because it was in the loading screen.
-
No, that’s a survivor healing themselves using your boon. It won’t count as you healing them. For that challenge you need to actually go up to a survivor and heal them yourself.
-
Yes it’s called Lethal Pursuer, you see all the survivors for 9 seconds when the game starts.
-
You should get your tokens back twice as fast after a hit instead of instantly.
-
I almost never play him anymore. He’s boring and he’s not good.
He needed some changes (mainly Forever Freddy needed to be removed) but he got overnerfed.

Why remove collision? To prevent the BT person from bodyblocking the killer and forcing them to hit them instead of the unhooker, or another reason I can't figure?
Yes to prevent using BT to stop the killer from attempting to NOT tunnel (especially if combined with DS).

That's fair. The fact it actively would hurt those without borrowed time is a major downside. I wasn't sure how long it should be, but decided on 20 seconds for a few reasons. I thought that with the hit then weapon wipe + distance from the hit, it's possible in general for non-mobility/ranged killers to take that long to catch to catch up to finish the kill in a comparable time to just following them for the 20 sec then hitting them once. My other thinking was that if I wanted to design this to be a very strong anti-tunneling perk, then I don't want to balance it for the killer to think about the risk/reward, and want it to be obvious that it is bad time efficiency for them to try to tunnel the unhooked survivor. 15 sec could also work, but honestly I don't think 20 seconds is that long admittedly. Since killers are faster than survivors, if the killer doesn't swing and just chases them to wait out this reworked borrowed, they could effectively swing as soon as they notice that the survivor's hitbox came back, similar to how some killers currently wait it out atm.
How long would you recommend making it? just curious
If it's a basekit mechanic then probably just remove collision and experiment with keeping it at 12 seconds to start, but if anything it might have to be lowered a tiny bit. Idk, the duration is something that'd have to be tested. An essentially 5th perk slot is a big deal already.
-
Yeah if BT ever becomes basekit it should remove the survivor's collision. As you pointed out yourself that doesn't work so well with its current form as a perk because that actively works against survivors who were unhooked without it.
20 seconds is far too long though; the duration doesn't need to be increased.
-
I have 1500 hours in the game and I’ve seen it exactly 3 times. So I can totally imagine players going hundreds of hours and never seeing it.
I’ve never used it.
-
Some trash perks remain trash while other trash perks get buffs and are still trash.
Look at buckle up. The aura reading got increased to a whopping 10 seconds meanwhile it still has like seven other things wrong with it.
Half the time when bad perks do get buffed, they don’t understand why those perks are bad so the buffs are largely meaningless.
-
Technically you could still play nurse legitimately if you've had your game open nonstop since before she was killswitched. When something is disabled, it doesn't take effect until you restart your game.
That said, considering how long it's been and as you said you think she had wallhacks anyway it's likely just a cheater.
-
Yes the perk was a terrible idea and is the stupidest thing that's been introduced to the game since the original iteration of Undying.
Your suggested nerf doesn't do anything against SWFs who can just tell each other where the totem is; it only hurts solo players who are already at a disadvantage compared to SWF. So I don't think that nerf would be very effective.
-
@Killing_Time said:
They're just tryna get it nerfed. Bhvr will cave eventually
I want it to be reworked. I don't want it to be nerfed.
There's a difference.
-
Wraith with starstruck, PR, agitation, and then corrupt/NWO/pop/ruin/whatever really. I've also used blood favor for the 4th perk with double windstorm to catch up as fast as possible after a hit so they can't make it to an unblocked pallet.
Definitely not the absolute nastiest build you can put together but instadowns are always a good idea on him.
-
Idk how you can fix it without it being abusable by the survivors unless you make a change that impacts every killer across the board. Which kinda sounds like is gonna happen anyway.
-
Depends. Sometimes I’ll see it in like 30% of matches one day and the next day I won’t have to deal with it at all.
I’m planning to do a totem experiment sometime soon anyways.
-
Well that’s definitely more fair than current noed. Idk how good it would be though.
In practice, if you actually have the full 80 seconds it means every survivor is dead or on death hook so a lot of the time it potentially gives you 1 extra kill (which you may have gotten anyways) and nothing more since the remaining survivors will have no reason to stay afterwards. I guess you can still run NWO with it though.
-
No it shouldn’t be basekit.
However it should not warn survivors who go near dull totems.
-
I don’t have a problem with DS in its current form.
The last time I had a problem with DS was back in october when you could bless a totem without losing it.
-
Hag by a long shot.
Other honorable mentions include Twins, as well as Huntress - not because I dislike Huntress but just because so many people play her that I just got bored of her and don't have fun against her anymore.
I also don't enjoy Pigs who run double gear addons (or one + tampered timer) and you die even if you're actively trying to search boxes from the moment you get off hook.
-
If you start the escape attempt the timer still progresses while doing so.
If you hit struggle while that happens, then it counts as reaching struggle phase but you're allowed to finish the escape attempt regardless (as long as you don't let go of the button) and if you succeed, you get off but you're still on death hook since you were on the hook for over a minute. It's not that you reached your 2nd hook state after escaping, it's that you started your attempt too late.
-
If anything basement shouldn't exist at all. Not just for certain killers.
Imo, it only promotes tunneling and camping and doesn't really add anything else interesting to the game. It's an outdated mechanic.
-
I had 2 blights in a row earlier. Other than that I've had a huntress, a nemesis, and a pinhead today.

There is no need to change Iron WIll. Its the only perk that grants a big deal of stealth for survivors, while still countered by Stridor or just their footsteps and breathing.
Stridor doesn't counter IW anymore. They changed that a while ago.
Injured survivors with IW have no breathing sounds, so you can't use that either.
-
How about instead of reworking haddonfield we just leave it disabled and disable RPD due to its literally uncleansable totem and just forget about both of those horrible maps.
-
I think IW should just replace the grunts of pain with normal breathing.
Just reducing the number below 100% would make it not very good.
-
The only time I ever use selfcare is with botany, resilience, and desperate measures.
If everyone is injured you have a 98% healing speed bonus which almost completely offsets the selfcare penalty.
It doesn’t need to be changed at all though
