  • You're a trool aren't you?

  • Just using survivors' weapons? They did that to spirit, legion, nurse, seems like a viable strategy to make your voice heard.

No, i don't usually dc as killer but when i lose my patience the dc happens. Mostly frustration when i get against too good survivors that shouldn't be against my rank. Besides that, no, i don't DC

  • Duuude, this is legit a great idea, I really hope that an update like this would be considered as it would give more spicyness to the game and would make the status effects more interesting to use

The Killer situation is NOT THAT BAD.....

But it surely isn't good. People play games to have fun, when the fun is reduced or removed entirely, people stop playing.

Just look at how many Nurse matches you see. Very few even though the Nurse is still a very viable Killer, the fun factor was removed from her, and the end result was seeing WAY WAY less Nurse games. Which I guess keeps survivors happy, so we are on par with BHVR M.O.

but don't worry, the fun factor can be removed from killers, but when the survivors are just a little bit frustrated: LeT's NeRf ThiS

  • Unrelated, i sang the title in the style of Taylor Swift's song 😂

You know what a good tool is to apply pressure? Press M1. In best case, next to a Survivor.

You will see how much pressure you can actually inflict once you start injuring/downing Survivors.

what if when you try to apply pressure presented by your logic 3 gens are flown by because the map size, sometimes too close pallets, good survivors(yes its a ######### issue when me a rank 9 get against way too good survivor lobbies with ranks ranging arround 1-4) and by the time you down and hook all the gens are done and when the survivor gets unhooked you can't hit him cause BT, DS? hmmm, what about applying pressure, right

Of course they did. Low effort, high reward.

Most players aren’t that good so they go for the easy option.

I am sorry that I am "low effort" to not be able to physically reach from one point to another on the map while 2 gens are done, I am sorry that not everybody is a flying blanket with a sock on their head or a blue crazy hoover that can have mobility, in fact most killers lack the mobility and some require setup, hag and trapper, by the time they set up on big maps, gens are done, yeah, "low effort", "easy option".

I hope that you are enjoying us doing the killer's objective after all, killing all the survivors as soon as possible whether that is being done through camping or tunelling

  • NOED + tunnel and camp when necesarry

  • @Blackadder said:

Hey guys, i think this is a good change because i have 2 brain cells and can't find these really easy to see totems that are on every map, that maybe takes 30 seconds out of my gen repair to cleanse it. Also the """"Skill"""" checks are too hard because that means i actually have to put in a bit of effort when repairing a gen which is clearly not fair.

this is also really balanced because the devs nerfed really over powered and unfair perks that had no counter play like: DS and Mettle of Man so this totally balances it out.

also don't whine killers (even though when survivors get a slight change they whine super hard over it).

The problem with what you said there is, some people think like that

  • Noed + slugging + tunelling if i see no ds are my new tools when in the first 30 seconds i see a gen done

You are aware how busted Dead Hard is right?

Unless using it to make it to the next loop and get that tiny extra needed distance, you will still get hit 99% of the time. The perk doesn't dodge hits, there is footage from streamers, content creators, and anyone who just records gameplay where you get exhausted from using it and still get downed because it doesn't work properly.

Honestly, I don't believe that Dead Hard ever had the intention of being used for dodging hits when it was first made. Many people used Dead Hard for the distance even before servers made it hard to use.

Tips for Dead Hard; wait on it, force them to use it by getting close then just closing the tiny distance. Or swing earlier so it takes them by surprise.

The game absolutely doesn't need to nerf a perk that the servers already have nerfed. Just because you haven't learned how to outplay it and use perks other than ruin to force pressure on the map doesn't mean we need to rework every "OP" survivor perk in the game.

Oh just to clarify here. I'm technically a killer main but my games are about 60% killer and 40% survivor. This isn't some biased survivor talking about keeping a perk.

Didn't call it OP, i called it unfun. Its unfun when it is used properly to get that tiny gap to escape so you can go to the next loop. Happens a lot of times at red/purple ranks survivors.

  • @Aneurysm said:

survivor perks should be nerfed if they're unbalanced, not for revenge or some other stupid reason.

yeah cause nerfing/reworking ######### when is killer for stupid reasons sided is fair

  • Add exc

    @ALostPuppy said:

This will never happen because they want to keep the current age rating. Excessive gore could potentially get it banned in some countries and that's bad for business

What if they add that excesive gore as just a visual option? Like, if the game detects that you are in a certain country where this is not allowed to totally vanish the option from the game. I would really love moris to actually do damage to the body, like cutting it in half

  • Yes I do. When there were way better survivors than me and played way better than I did as a killer, yep I say all the time and sometimes even: "well played guys". Although in real life im sweaty as hell and probs about to break my desk, I know that it was my mistake.

As a survivor yes as well even when I get against a killer that camped or tunneled, sometimes since I play killer a lot I don't judge their decission.

  • @The_Second_Coming said:

I would feel bad for you, if you weren't a Nurse, with ruin, and other extremely meta perks (noteably, ruin, on Nurse. OOF), and the survivors had perks that were actually game changing. They didn't.

Basically, if you lost to them, as a Nurse, with ruin, BBQ and Nurses Calling...I don't think it's the games fault, no matter the rank. You had a significant advantage.

Insert "oh no, he isn #########" meme

  • It's accepted as a strategy by the devs while the survivor rule book is just by the survivors. Don't get me wrong, I hate camping cause I actually want to have fun and become a better player, but sometimes is necesarry.

    Again, it's a strat

  • Totally agree with all 5

    oops, 6 xD

For real, all seem great QoL improvements that frankly don't seem too hard to implement but would make the game experience much better.

Just like the way SWF groups now stay in the party.

  • Untitled-1.jpg

This was the literal next game after. I think the game just taunts me now.

  • If smth like that happens for me when i'm playing killer i straight up go after the #########. I can't tolerate survivors like that, and in fact, I will tunnel the living nightmare out of those players. I hate it when it happens to me as a surv thus the reason why as a killer i'm not killing the nice guy.

  • Actually i could see the devs putting the new instaheal style to adrenaline, not a good idea imo

  • I swear that i posted the comment on a thread someone complaining about freddy, #########?! I haven't even seen this thread before

  • I got the complains about nurse and SOME about Spirit, but bloody ######### Freddy? Piss off, he ain't OP, at best annoying. Yes, he is a stronger killer, but not OVER ######### POWERED.

  • They finished with the nurse and didn't have anybody to complain about and the way that they can get the killers nerfed is by complaining and dc'ing. Not denying that spirit has issues, but i feel like the nerf sounds heavy.

  • @Peanits said:

Regarding the Katana Tsuba and Wakizashi Saya, it's not just a shot in the dark. We make sure to do our research first, and these were definitely too strong (especially when combined). This clip alone shows why way better than I could ever explain: https://www.reddit.com/r/deadbydaylight/comments/dwendd/a_well_deserved_nerf/

What if you were to nerf the purple one and make them not stack? the green one itself is fine.

Plus another change that would have made more sense than these nerfs could have been to give her some audio queues that she is phasing, like glass shattering or smth, yakuyoke didn't need that big of a nerf and neither did the speed of comming out of phasing.

Can we all when play killer and see a survivor running a specific perk or smth that we don't like as killers just DC? Cause that seems to be the only way to make our voice heard. If the nerfs are that strong let's unite nurses, spirits and legions and just enter in matches just to DC. If crybaby survivors do this we can do that as well. I hate playing survivor just because of the crybaby ######### heads that DC when they see a killer, but if they do that, we can do that as well.

The worst part is they charge money for a seperate mask... get this, the only thing different about it is that it's slightly whiter. lmao they're are DESPERATE for cash

Idk how to tell ya mate, but this is a business. Don't blame the people for asking money when releasing a product.

There is a business rule: "It's not stupid the one that asks, is stupid the one that pays" (in this case im not calling the people that would buy the mask stupid because they buy it, i used this saying to emphasis on the business and company ideea), I mean look at Apple.

At the end of the day, they are people as well and they need money. Plus, the benefit is, you don't need to buy it if you don't want to do it.

They offer you the option to only buy the robe. If there are people who are big Scream fans and would really want that pure white mask would not care about 200 AC and they would appreciate the fact that it exists.

  • A lot of people might use mori to get that challenge from the rift done

  • Probs it's the update that gives him UNDETECTABLE status but he is still DETECTABLE by spine chill

whoa, don't suggest Borrowed Time should be base kit, that just makes too much sense and that idea is largely unwelcome here.

No, it does not make any sense, it would be way too overpowered and then it would render the perk useless, the 2nd chances that survivors have are already enough.

  • @Ebisek said:

Everyone still thinking how to punish DC instead of how to avoid DCs.

    1. Remove the dedicated servers which totaly breaking game experience with matches like my 40ms ping agains killers 400ms ping which happily hitting me over the walls and pallets. If I had 40ms ping in lobby (stable 18ms ping to deadbydaylight.com via cmd) and reaction time of pallet is over 1.5s, i have no reason to stay in this trial. Before the dedicated servers, you can see ping to the killer. That was fair and simply to identify if you want to play or dodge to the better lobby.
    2. If someone DCing in specific cases like a tunneling, stop ignoring feedbacks to sluging, tunneling and camping and do something. Grant the borrowed time as a base kit and stop crying that you cannot kill someone who has been unhooked 1 second ago.
    3. Lot of things has been done for killers (like forcing all survivors to wait until match ends to see killer perks). But who cares about fact that killer can see items in lobby like flashlights, medkits and adapt their perk builds or killer selection? Same situation in trial. Why the killer can see survival health status live in HUD?

A way to avoid it, hmmm, people shouldn't be that butthurt over tunelling/camping/every thing that a killer does? Yes it's frustrating, I agree, but since I play both sides i can understand it sometimes. Yes, when a jerk decides to bubba camp-knob their head-be toxic in post chat lobby I can see that being very stupid

I totally disagree with all 3 things mentioned there. That is just some survivor entitlement there especially at the point 2, after all is the killer's job to kill and as far as I am concerned it's a 4v1 not vice versa thus the reason for the killer's ability to see the items in lobby.

Main survivors should try the other side and stop crying. Same for the killer side.

The trade is you continue to play the game. DC and your waiting for your next match. The reward for staying is your BP and XP. No additional reward required for what's expected.

A ban on both sides is required or the punishment won't work. Oh I'm ban from playing survivor. I'll just play a killer match for awhile.

On top of this I think serial DC'ers should queue with eachother.

about ban on boths I could agree with that easily, but imo the rewards for being a good sportsman and play the game nicely should be a thing, either way, rewards or not, the punishment MUST be a thing

YES YES YES, i totally agree that there should be a behaviour rating where people that usually DC to be put together and the ones that play nicely to be forgiven by the entity from the scumbags

  • @Revansith said:

This is a ranked game, when someone disconnects the game should grant a safety pip to remaining players by default and perhaps the "punishment" might be the disconnecting player loses 2 pips.

That safety pip is not a bad ideea but I believe that if you don't punish the DC'ing hard than you can't stop it, and atm it's a big issue.

  • @Mr_K said:

Ban should be for both roles.

Also, we shouldn't be rewarding players for playing the game normally. Its like giving a kid candy for brushing their teeth.

I wouldn't agree to be on both sides and I believe that rewards are a good ideea as this would encourage players to behave nicely. It's more like a christmas gift if you are a nice kid. You can't change a stupid's person's mind unless you pay them, and in this case i believe it should be a fair trade.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/102541/dc-ban-system-idea

The problem right now is that some DC's are entirely the games fault and not the actual players. Crashing while loading into a game is frequent which looks like a DC, Infinite loading screens (thought not as common now) and a few other things that may happen. I do agree that dcing must be punished as it's getting ridiculous now but it could lead to unfair punishments if it wasn't actually the player fault.

mentioned this at the end of the post, they should make it so it detects whether it was the player that DC'ed or game's fault or server's fault and in case it was not player's fault they must NOT get banned

  • This on Plague with Thana and DL would be rather interesting

I would be all for this system so long as:

    1. The counter resets after some time (flexible on when exactly) because occasionally legit DCs do happen.
    2. The system can detect if the game was left intentionally or not (a la infinite loading glitch verse “leave match” button.

I forget the context but I remember a couple years ago I started a game as killer only to have a sudden urgent and unexpected reason to not be playing the game. DCed and apologized to the survs (this was before the DCer didn’t connect to the end game chat) and took off from there. It’d be kinda ridiculous if I had something like that come up again and be on a cooldown because of something that happened two years ago. And then glitching out of game obviously isn’t the player’s fault so that can’t be punished either.

My bad, forgot to mention that after you don't dc for a while the timer increments down by 1 stage. The way it is in cs:go

  • Since we have dedicated servers, introduce ######### dc ban

    1st - no ban

    2nd - 15 minutes

    3rd - 2 hours

    4th - 12 hours

    5th - 1 day

    6th - 3 days

    7th - 1 week

I can understand when u HAVE to dc when ur momma sends u to buy bread. Not when u see spririt cause u are an entitled piece of #########.

  • Welp, and there goes my will to buy any myers cosmetic and with this any cosmetic at all.

First time in my life when i actually mean this and it's not just a reaction out of anger: ######### you devs

  • I admit, there were moments when I pointed where a person was in a locker but we were SWF so we just messed up. With random people I don't do that cause I find it stupid.

  • @ColonGlock said:

@Starbricks19 I have over 1700 hours and never prestiged. I rather keep the perks I earned. The grind is hard enough without that and you will need many millions just to get all perks all killers. So far I have earned almost 190 million bloodpoints and spent them all without prestige.

Excuse me, how can you find out your total ammount of bloodpoints? Sorry but I couldn't find anything on the internet.

  • @TwistrBlitz said:

Nobody likes delays though, just announce the release date later just in case things come up.

Even at a 5 Star restaurant if my meal is taking a long time I start wondering what’s going on.

You were just low-key flexing that u went to a 5 star restaurant 😂😂 jk though

  • Good connection = Good game on dedicated servers. I play from UK and i had 30 to 50 ping and besides some hits after vaulting the windows where i was too far to be able to get hit, the gameplay was very good. Stable, good, reliable. Not having to deal with issues as survivor because of killer's ping actually made me play more and a better time in general.

They are not perfect, but they are on the right direction with this. Don't expect servers to be perfect right off the bat + BHVR is not Riot, Valve, Blizzard to have ######### ton of money to be able to pay for servers as those can, ya have to be patient and understand and mostly, see the situation from their point of view.

  • The only thing i would personally do to DS is fix it's bloody bug where you clearly hit it, i mean that red thingy is in the middle of the white one and i hear the successful skill check sound yet it considers itself as missed.

It also happens to the edges but im too used to that that im more bothered when it happens in the middle of that white zone. It's just annoying.

Other than that, it's a fine perk as both survivors and killers, ofc, the cry baby survivors who tea bagged the ######### out of the killer will want even 5 DS's if possible and then the cry baby killers that decide that its fun to go only after one guy would want it removed while they rock noed, ruin.

Duck off both sides and get over, you are not meant to always win, neither always lose as both parts.

  • I've got no ideea what you're talking about, here in EU the servers are fine, I am playing with friends that live in Romania and I live in the UK and the experience so far has been awesome.

We should give proper feedback to help them develop and fix if there are issues with dedicated servers not to ######### and complain.
