Yo this has been happening to me for a LONG time now. My personal favorite is when I stun the killer and still magically die. Either the killer is stunned and can't move or they hit me, how does a stunned person hurt someone? Logic??
This stuff needs to be fixed like, yesterday.
I hit the button at the palette and it doesn't drop, sometimes the killer gets stunned and they're on the same side as me. Wut?
I never thought I'd see servers worse than FFXIV but here we are. This should be a priority number one to be fixed. Before this I was doing fine, no issues. Now it's weird lag, yesterday it lagged for ten seconds I took damage and then killer got stunned, I thought my game froze.
Also dying 12 feet from the vault is awesome. Great servers btw.
Hit through pallet stun is a problem that has been in the game for ages now.
On the killers screen, they hit you. On your screen you stunned them.
Ping does it's magic and both events happen.

Or just stand under a hook and go next. Both are viable options.

Anyways, it's always like this. Every event. Every year.
I just remember the first snowman event and how awful the forum was.

I put out my Stbfl-only - pig and play for 12 hooks.
I lose a majority of games, but we all have fun.

Currently I feel the same with Trapper. Maps used to be full of grass, titles are more simple. Yes he had only 5-6 traps, but I know exactly where to put traps, either in titles or connection path between titles, and all of them are useful and effective.
Now he has 10 traps and I dont know where is set traps anymore, whats the points of having too many traps only to get disarmed because no grass covering them.
I dont even remember Toba map layout yet, then Alien map came out and without grass, then they change map layout of 2 Coolwind farm maps, then they add another 4-5 maps of MacMillan...4 Gens completed just because I wandering around dont know where to put traps and not even finish to put 10 traps.
Agree.
At least Trapper still has Badham preschool and dead dawg saloon.
Badham still has old grass textures and dead dawg has solid grass in general.

But this event isn't fun. It's a very convoluted special ruleset with a net negative payoff.
I do not have fun wandering around an empty mini-arena 10 meters above the real map. I do not have fun looking for black ghosts is a very dark area where I can barely see them and they might not be there at all. I do not have fun feeding a ghost only to discover that I don't have enough energy to feed him all the way. I do not have fun when I fully feed a ghost and he spawns in a corner of the map far away from any gens where neither I nor survivors have a reason to go. I do not have fun exiting the mini-arena via a portal and having no idea where on the map I'll end up.
A good event mechanic "mixes up" gameplay like the Twisted Masquerade did. This one just adds totally superfluous gameplay. If I wanted to just "have fun" and not worry about winning, I would play Daddy Meyers or something.
The only time this event mechanic is remotely fun is when I'm down to two survivors with 2+ unfinished gens so they have no chance of winning, and messing around with the void is a distracting alternative to chasing them around the map.
I just got 80k bp from one match. Im happy with my payoff.

Fun for a day, maybe, but this event is running for almost 3 weeks. If I have no reason to engage with the unique event mechanics for that long, then what's the point of having the event at all?
Again. You dont need to interact with it.
Its fun for me. I like to engage with it.
Saying that its not worth having an event just because you dislike to engage with it after 3 hours, feels a bit ungrateful, dont you think?
There are more players than just you.

This was never meant to address camping as a whole. This is purely with regards to face-camping, so the killer within a specific range which pretty much prevented saves being made...and it seems that that side is working. No, your actually a weirdo. Everytime you speak to anyone about blight it's alch ring this, alch ring that. I think alch ring is op, your just beyond a hater of a character that is essentially the superior to your own.
Hillbilly has slightly more mechanical skill required to play him at peak compared to blight. Blight requires more knowledge than anything in this game. Hold the L. "oh but billy curve" yes you have to have mechanics for that, blight has to know all collision and instantly recognize the collision around any played tile. Your outdated, overnerfed and clunky killer is nothing by comparison.
IDK why I am responding to you actually. Every single thing you say to somebody with an argument is alch-ring abuser even though you have no idea, thus I muted you months ago to not implode to a person so salty about the fact their killer got gutted XDXDXD.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3566241#Comment_3566241
Can you please give responses that aren't I hate blight? It's really depressing to try and have a conversation with somebody and they give some generic response that a ai made by a 12 year old would say. I gave you a large paragraph and you responded the minute follow-up.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3566239#Comment_3566239
I mean nurse is far easier and her power is terribly designed, blight on the other hand just has the best add-ons in the game which can be changed easily. If you feel the add-ons are cheating then don't use them, or if you want to use the add-ons don't use perks. I have played around 30 nurse games and guess which single game I lost?
Blight himself feels like cheating to me, but yeah.....
PS.: i main Pig and i dont get hits in 4 seconds after hooking someone just because i use bbq.

Because he is the most fluid killer in the game with the highest skill ceiling and the most fun for me. I hard limit myself more than 95% of killers at least. I get it, you hate blight based on your previous posts/replies but the killer minus a few overused/overtunned add-ons is bar none the most interactive killer in the game. Although you probably don't really understand much about blight so I understand your strife to an extent. I mean 99% of killers are not good at the killer so how can I expect you to know much about him?
This post is not a post to garner sympathy but to let people know that blight as far as I know is exclusively the only killer who's power is directly tied to the server. A blight with bad ping and/or the servers are running slow due to a large influx of players means the blight receives a far larger detriment than any survivor or killer. A survivor's ping also means timings on hits change. 200 ping on a survivor requires a completely different timing on a shoulder flick.

Tbh, I really like the feeling of stealthly finding the hatch, and stealthly to open a gate then escape.
I really miss the feeling of stealthing together with a random teammate finding the hatch with a key, especially reworked Lery when it was really dark.
It might be fun for the survivor role, i definitely can argee on that, but for the killer role, i find it to be boring and uninteractive. But that maybe comes from the fact that end game is the first time the killer cna realistically calm down. Therefore this moment of silence seems off most of the time.

I wish to have a 1 month test without Hatch mechanic to see how much kill rate is increased. And the possibility that killers' nerf just by removing the hatch alone. There are alot more behind that one extra kill
I dont intend to remove hatch without a trade off. I just dislike the boring rng-based gameplay it provides. I prefer an action based ending to matches rather than the snooze fest we currently have.
-
Unpopular opinion:
Killers shack and many other tiles are severely unfair for gameplay due to the survivor having too much angles to see the killer over, allowing no Mindgames or skill interaction if the killer is m1 based. Therefore these types of tiles should be deleted and reworked.
Nobody likes to be reduced to a walking-bot.
-
Bioshock.
Killer: Big daddy (bouncer) + little sister
Map: destroyed rapture

The problem in my opinion is the hatch, forcing a Rng-based situation.

He didn't mind-game any tiles that had pallets. Just powered through them. Even for those risky loops. Whole situation is just bizzare.
Again. Tiles where the killer is clearly visible at all times and are too long to switch directions are unfair for m1 killers. They can't realistically get a hit there if the survivor doesn't mess up immensely. Good examples are the long tiles on cowshed, the cow tree and all shacks except the toba landing one.

Yeah it is, shame that even when you don't do that some killers still complain.
Well. That sometimes comes down to the tile in question. They played Ghostface correct? On some maps there are tiles that are legitimately unfair for m1 killers. So. If that's his point. He wasnt wrong.
-
I dislike predropping and pallet camping. It's the most lame gameplay if you play killer.
Sadly it's also one of the most effective playstyles
Ignore a lot of the players in this game. Some are just mad they lost. Sometimes they are mad because they didn't have a play at all.

1) "Show me an example where winning a mindgame to MFT is actually a losing situation for killer then" - if Survivor runs Made For This winning a mindgame is much harder, against a good Survivor extremely hard.
2) "it feels they added MFT because maps keep getting weaker and weaker for survivors" - maps getting weaker? Azarov maps got buffed because they increased minimum amount of Pallets and they decreased dead zones on these maps. Blood Lodge - 16 Strong Pallets, Wretched Shop was "dead zone" map - now it's pretty good map for Survivor. We have Garden Of Joy, Eyrie Of Crows, Badhams, new Red Forest... And you say that "maps getting weaker for Survivors". Not at all. They changed borgo a little bit in the last patch, nothing special, a little better for Killer maybe.
3) "MFT is a perk that gains value in the hands of a good survivor, or at least a survivor that is better in chase than the killer." - ojojojjoj, no, completely not... Even a bad Survivor can make insane value from this perk. Most of Survivors in this game just try to learn how to use some perks instead how to loop. They can greed a loop like a idiot and still they can make it... because of this annoying perk. They don't even know what are they doing. Without this perk it would be impossible to do it...
Made For This is very strong in "weak" hands - it makes Survivor much harder to catch.
In good, experienced hands this perk is just a joke. They can abuse it very well. Every experienced Survivor says that this perk is too strong. Every Streamer says it ; Otzdarva, Hens, St1v1, Knightlight & more. It's just obvious.
4) 'I would bet you survivors with 4 tool boxes and gen-related perks probably win a lot more games than someone bringing MFT+Resilience." - Toolboxes are also too strong in my opinion, they nerfed "BNP-s", but they buffed it in some ways.
But you can see - you need to bring 4 strong items & other gens-related perks to compare Made For This & Resi with this. It shouldn't be a thing.
They may win more games, but Killer wants to chase Survivor and when it's situation when Killer is very annoyed in chase, because of this perk, it makes Killer to just quit this game.
5) About Killers
Trapper - even with last buffs - this Killer isn't strong. If he sets a Trap to get move speed, Survivor with Made For This will leave a loop and he will get a massive distance.
Wraith - I really like Wraith and I think it's very underrated Killer. But, still, in chase Made For This can make a huge value. Survivor can reach a Pallet before Wraith can reach him with his speed boost attack. It's not like without MFT Wraith doesn't have his speed boost and it's not like before MFT release Wraith or other Killer didn't have their powers... So, "Killers can use their powers to counter MFT" isn't an argument.
Hillbilly - this Killer is very bad to play as if someone isn't experienced on him. With his revving movement speed Made For This can be very heavy for him.
Nurse - the best Killer in this game. Okay.
Huntress - 110%, very painful experience against Made For This especially on high loops, shack, main buildings, Pallet Gyms, jungly gyms (basic loops).
Myers - one of the weakest Killers in this game. His main power is to insta down, so Survivors will not heal and they gonna have MFT even more. He has increased lunge attack and that's all (vs MFT).
Hag - 110%, her Power is a little different. It's hard to tell.
Doctor - he has slowdown during charging a Shock Terapy - MFT is very strong against him, they can reach a window before Doctor applies shock on them.
Cannibal - I main Bubba since 2019. Made For This counters his the best addon - Beast's Marks. It's stupid. It makes a huge difference. Everytime it would be a down, it's just a broken Pallet or being stunned by a Pallet. Very painful experience.
Freedy - M1 Killer - i don't need to explain i hope.
Pig - as you said with UW maybe "better" now, but this Killer is on very low tier. She needs to catch someone to apply her power. Catching someone who use Made For This is very hard for M1 Killer. Ambush Dash may hurt more than help.
Clown - he is bugged since 3 months btw. He has chase Power. Still, Clown had his power before MFT release. So, with MFT they can drop a Pallet on his face, without MFT it would be a hit. Just example...
Spirit - top 4/5 Killer. MFT can be painful only if Spirit doesn't have power.
Legion - everyone is inuujured against him and he is M1 killer in that scenario - I don;t need to explain how MFT can destroy him, right>?
Plague - red vommits it's her hope to counter this perk.
Ghost Face - insta down, he can dodge first chase against MFT. That's all.
Demogorgon - simple chase Power, much harder to catch a Survivor with his jump.
Oni - they should heal against him so that's good for him.
Deathslinger - same like Huntress
Pyramid Head - strong Killer, 3% on the loops maybe helpful for Survivors to dodge his range attack.
Blight - Top2 Killer
Twins - none plays Twins
Trickster - same as Huntress
Nemesis - MFT is strong against him, because usually Nemesis respect a Pallet and tries to use his Tentacle Strike. With Made For This it's even easier play to do.
Pinhead - he is still bugged. He has a quite good Chase Power.
Artist - best counter play against her is "W" so Made For This is very good against her.
Sadako - M1 killer. In chase she may has some problems.
Dredge - when he uses his chase Power Survivors can easily just leave a loop.
Wesker - Survivor with 3% speed can hide behind the corner before Wesker gonna use second dash.
Knight - don;t need to explain, otherwise none plays this Killer
Skull Merchant - ??? (I havent played changed version)
Impressive post.
Thanks for taking your time.

I have a total opposite, I dont feel bad when losing as killer, even against toxic squads, Im quite immune to survivors' toxic. I have more relax when playing killer because Im the one control the match
Survivors are newbies? I injure them and let them a chance to play.
Survivors are decent? I play normally, most of the time I meme with them.
Survivors are great? I know they're better than me and accept defeat, not because the game is survivors' sided. And honestly I could win against them by simply putting 4 slowdown, playing Blight and tunneling. But my life isnt depended on how many 4k I can get in a day.
As survivors, Im not a good looper, plus I dont use meta. I may get stress if killers tunnel me.
We have different opinions then.

Just because you play both doesn't mean you are as invested in both, that was my point. There are many killer mains who might play survivor as well, but they care a lot more about winning when playing killer than survivor (their own words not mine). That makes them killer biased. Same would be true for me. Even if I were to play more killer than i do atm, I'd probably still be majorly survivor biased.
Sometimes even people who play both roles 50-50 might have a bias towards one role than another. Maybe they only play survivors when their friends are online and fool around. So they only get to experience SWF perspective and killer perspective, and if they still care about wins when playing killer, that would make them biased towards killer.
I see losing as survivor not as bad because I'm not getting insulted at the end. Most of the matches I lose as survivor I also go down for the team. (Steve main)
Losing as survivor doesn't feel as bad to me.
Also. I see survivor as the more chill role because there are downtime from the action. When playing killer there aren't downtimes.

I was on about the "thats what every killer says" - thing. I play both. Maybe not completely equal but still both. They asked for my opinion and they got it. Their comment makes it seem like its not worht it due to my killer-survivor-ratio.
Please correct me if im wrong.

She's undeniably better now.
Not a fun killer to play against but she isn't harmful to the game anymore. That's a huge improvement.

That;s what every killer says when they decide to de-stress from killer by playing survivor. If I played survivor 90% of the time and came here and said "when I play killer I don't face any amount of toxicity and my games seem pretty good but I just farm and 8 hook everyone and survivors are nice to me" I don't think you'd take my opinion on the state of killer very seriously now would you? Even if it was true for my personal experience, it wouldn't tell the whole story for the average killer.
Why the aggressive undertone?
I just stated my experience. Again, i play 70-30 killer - survivor. That doesnt mean i only play killer.

Don't get me wrong: I lose a lot of my games. I escape maybe 2 times in 10 games. But that's because I'm not that good as a survivor. My games are still fun though. Maybe that's because I find survivor way more chill than killer.

When you tell solo to bring aura perks to be able to co-ordinate with other solo survivors and you use one single perk to do 4 differents things, including denying solos co-ordination then yes it is.
But I don't think you are up for that discussion when all you took away from that post was" mm...blindness strong now?"
Still waiting for someone to convince me a perk that so efficient it only takes up one perk slot is somehow "mid" or "not that strong actually".
I am definitely up to the discussion.
Some days ago I posted a nice picture of me playing Freddy with paint brush, dream pallets and only ultimate weapon.
The Perk literally activated one one survivor the whole game while I opened lockers around 7 times. On rpd.
It's not that insane of a perk some people make it seem like.
What I feel, what is the true problem is that it's truly strong on first: players that crutch on windows of opportunity and second: strong (upper b-tier or above) killers. This however is more of an issue with killers like Blight or nurse. Even on spirit this perk isn't that good.
It's a perk that is better on stronger killers than on weaker ones. This, is absolutely bad design. It should be reversed. Same with made for this.
Ultimate weapon on a killer like Pig is only a gimmick. Not a weak one but still a gimmick. It's by far not the most effective way to play her. I held a whole debate about that not too long ago.
Ultimate Weapon is a strong info perk dont get me wrong, but it's not a "slap on - instant value on every killer" - kind of perk.
If you want to say that blindness is a problem, why is third seal not one of the best hex perks right now?
Blindness is a status effect that is strong against weaker survivors, soloq and WoO - addicts that want to turn play automatized. Otherwise it's the weakest status effect in dbd. Is that good design either? No. Is dbd originally designed around people playing and talking on discord via clock callouts and tons of filters? Also no.

I'm a survivor main, the first time i use Made For This i already know this perk is "too good to be real" That why i never defend this perk.
Ultimate Weapon
a perk that make killer so easy finding survivor, that kind of perk okay? really?
I believe this game is a asymmetrical horror game which is stealth are important, dbd not a batte royale game, right?!
Stealth in dbd is extremely rare these days.
Survivors want to be in the killers face.
Playing aggressive is sadly the most optimal way to play as far as I know.

It also counter Bond, Kindred, Alert and more. And Bond is also a very common perk for solo survivors, that killers just tell us we have to run if we wanna know where our teammates are.
This is just a cope from killer mains. they really know what they have in hand. If they cannot take full advantage of it is cause they're either playing a killer that doesn't benefit that greatly from it, or don't know how to use it as effectively as possible. This is an insane perk that people refuse to catch on cause they're so comfy running 3-4 slowdowns, when this perk synergizes incredibly well with certain gen perks as well as helps you get more value out of it. It also saves you time you would have wasted if you had to find survivors the traditional way.
It outclasses most aura perks, lasts all game, is multi purpose cause it can interrupt survivors and adds blindness and only takes up one perk slot. Convince me this perk is not overtuned.
Before its release we considered LP strong despite this perk de-activating the rest of the game and requiring you to bring at least one more aura perk, now you can simply bring UW get use LP without having to deal with Distortion and also only waste one perk slot and not bring more aura perks (that could also be countered by distortion).
So blindness is too strong now?
-

Bleeding out does not equal a sacrifice or mori for the scoring, so basically you got a 3k if you don't take deerstalker because usually the person slugged will go to a completely different spot you left them
But you can still find them.
Bbq for example makes this easy as well. Just hook the 4th survivor away from the spot the other got downed and they will get revealed 70% of the time.

Their not the “worst” but they are underused, the worst perks are literally useless for a reason and need reworks but I picked these ones because of how much fun they would be or actually useful if they were buffed, 4 of the perks on survivors are chase oriented perks which I think deserve buffs since they’re not the worst perks but they are mediocre hence why you rarely see them
this goes for the perks I chose for killers too since they are 3 are alternative options of slow down perks that definitely deserve buffs, not the worst but mediocre which is also why you rarely see these perks at all
As killer I see one chase perk very rarely and I'm super happy about that.
Lucky break.
It's extremely underused and a perk I'm honestly afraid of if it got used more.

I still want the myers mask with the white hair.

Puh....
I was afraid you mentioning insidious.
The perks you mentioned are already not the worst I feel like.
Terminus is fine in my opinion.
A dangerous perk is huntress lullaby. It's my personal favourite meme perk and I love to use it. Im pretty sure it doesn't receive any buffs because it's a noob stomper. It's a free perk that makes skill checks harder. That hurts primarily new players.
