If me playing in the ways that I find fun makes you miserable then that's a you problem bub. I never intentionally make games unfun. But I also don't care if you have fun or not. I bought this game with my money to play how I want. Bending to the will of a few isn't even on my radar.

If you dont say that im supposed to end my life in end game chat or take me hostage in game, im mostly fine.

If someone is already dead via tunneling or camping, they're gonna leave as well. Nobody wants to waste time anymore.

Also, that's still a moral obligation, which I pointed out. That's not really an incentive.

Im talking about you being the first to give up.

What behavior do you mean? T bagging? Pointing? Nodding? Absolutely they need to grow some backbone it's ridiculous to get upset by it in a multiplayer game in 2024 , end game chat I understand people being upset about toxicity but in game it's totally up to the player to control emotions and either give them their own medicine back or brush it off, it's a game where you're trying to murder your opponent we need good laughs here and there, problem is people forgot how to see humor in it

I don't see the humor in someone indicating sexual assault.

Sorry, but my understanding of humor end there.

Players going out of their way to make their opponent have a miserable time is not a big issue. Most of the time, people take their opponent playing to win as some personal attack on themselves.

I think these people are a big problem. They can make people quit the game. Sure, you can say: "grow a pair, it's not that serious!" but is this truly the best we can do? Accept this kind of behaviour? Endorse it?

I don't see slugging, tunneling, genrushing, camping or any strategy in that sense as bm.

We should help to create a healthy environment. Games are there to bring fun. Reality can be harsh enough already.

  • @Crowman said:

It's a PvP game. Your opponent playing to win is not inherently toxic nor is it your opponents duty to make sure you enjoy the match.

But it's also not their duty to make one's experience as miserable as possible.

It's true that in dbd, some people revel in being especially nasty to their opponent. Be that the end game chat or in game bm like tbagging in the exit gate, hitting on hook or the notorious "humping".

I have been playing since around release. I stopped playing so much after patch 6.1. I barely play anymore because solo survivor is absolutely miserable to play. It's not fun in any shape or form whatsoever. It's either gen simulator and watch your team get tunnelled out or you getting tunnelled out. There's not many ways to counter killer anymore as a solo player.

You have a very good analysis of the pig gameplay and history and I agree with what you have written. Pig is a solo stomper. Far less effective against swf. She lacks super speed like nurse, blight, spirit etc.

Do you change pig to be a super speed killer and start making all the killers carbon copies of each other so every killer can stomp solos and swfs?

My point is that survivor is already the weaker role. Especially solo survivor. Any buffs to the pig will come at the expense of the already weakened survivor role making playing solo even less enjoyable than it already is.

In my opinion the devs have swung the pendulum too far into the killers direction. They continue to buff killers and offer nothing to survivor in return. Just take and take and take.

The last thing that I can remember that was a good addition for survivor was the HUD. That was a token gesture though because that came with more nerfs to the role.

If pig is a solo stomper, decent swf struggle against her and only coordinated teams do good against her why does she need any buffs at all? Is the goal just to make it so noone has a chance against her? To make her so overpowered you can just log in and win? Or do you just want her to be a pig version of blight?

I like that different killers have different play styles. If you want good chase there is a killer for that, if you want to trap people there is a killer for that. If you want to jump scare people etc etc.

Pig is already much stronger than the average survivor. She has a unique playstyle. I disagree that she needs any more buffs. Otherwise she will just stomp everyone.

The devs will still make her stronger than she is now though through more map nerfs and survivor nerfs. She might get easier in chase as maps become even smaller and more loops are broken up.

The Pig is devent. Thats it. She will struggle against one thing. Very good survivors. If a team is extremely good at looping, the Pig will realistcally loose 3 gens for her first down. If the survivors can hold that pressure and continue to do gens at that pase, the Pig will undeniably loose the match, maybe getting one kill.

What I want it this to not happen and a more even experience. I did never say, that I wanted her to have a movement ability. Im for balancing out her nasty edges and making her better in chase.

Right now, screaming builds are very problematic on her. Therefore I proposed multiple times to make screaming not interrupt the search of a box.

I also proposed, that a survivor cant die to the timer running out while searching a box, only dying after the search action is completed.

To compensate for this, I would love to have more strenght in her chasing capabilites. Maybe a pallet break built in into the ambush to counter pre dropping or a longer amush, to counter the shift w - problem that she struggles so much with. Survivors should learn to play a pallet mindgame and not just walk away from any interaction. This is not interactive gameplay in my experience.

This is all that I would want for the Pig.

Other killers like Nemesis or Demogorgon have horrendous addons, while their base kit is mostly fine. This leads to no variety in addon use and more stale matches against these killers.

Dont even get me started with Freddy, who is just bad in every way except his kill rate that is boosted by low level soloq players that have problems figuring out what oblivious is.

Im all for survivor buffs. Im not for perks like old DH or MFT that are downright busted, unfair or promote unhealthy gameplay. Could survivor be buffed?

Yes absolutely. Survivors should see their teammates perks in the lobby to coordinate perk usage. There could also be a ping system, with which survivors could tell each other where to go during the match.

I dont think that buffing med kits or toolboxes will lead to healthier matches. Im also not against buffs to keys, maps or flashlights. Im against background player due to it leading to unhealthy gameplay from both sides (uncounterable safes = more slugging).

I also cant comprehent why Blight is getting buffed and hope that the Twins rework is not going live.

Please dont antagonize people just because they are not playing the survivor role 24/7.

I play a lot of survivor, recently started my p100 Jill project. I enjoy my soloq matches. Im sad to hear that your opinion is so different from mine. I rarely see true killer induced tunneling.

I would also not consider the survivor role to be the definitive weaker role. The weaker role in DBD is the side that brings the weaker stuff into a trial. Thats the hard reality.

My posts have been changed and deleted also. I do not know why. Someone is meddling in our conversation.

Pig has a high kill rate due to developers buffing it and nerfing survivors, items, perks and maps over a long period of time.

Its kill rate is only going to increase along with every other killer.

I've seen the same. Hope we won't get interrupted again.

I have to heavily disagree here. Pigs kill rate isn't high because of recent buffs. Not because of nerfs to survivors or map reworks.

It has always been high and hasn't changed much for over two to three years. The Pig has always performed way better than many other killers in the roster despite her constantly getting nerfed in the past (bigger terror radius, slower carrying speed, traps not activating after all gens are done and some other not so funny ones). Is she better than all the other then? Is she better than Nurse, Blight, Plague or even Wesker?

No. She's definitely not, showcased by a ton of people in the community constantly putting poor Amanda in c tier or even below that.

Why then is the kill rate so consistently high throughout the years she has been in the game?

    Because of her core design.

Pig is a stealth, slowdown killer with the emphasis on slowdown. She has the strongest built in slowdown in the game, being the reverse beartraps she can place on survivors heads. This mechanic and this alone is the sole reason for the Pigs high kill rate. Kill rates are taken from all players playing dbd. That means not only high- and mid-, but also lower mmr. They also don't differentiate between matches of soloq and swf. This has to be taken into consideration when dealing with these stats.

Now to the problem. Piggies high kill rate. Soloq has an undeniably harder time versing a Pig than swf. Pig stomps soloq due to being a strategic killer. Survivor have to often play a team game and coordinate to beat a good Pig. This being incredibly hard and sometimes even impossible in soloQ. But why does she then perform this good against SWF? Because the slowdown. If you play her well and put a ton of other side objectives on top of the traps, survivors become overwhelmed extremely fast, bringing most matches to a halt. Gens simply stop to progress. Totems or other slowdown perks are incredibly effective on her. Add that survivors can die to the traps easily with certain addons or playstyles and you have your culprit for the high kill rate.

Why is she still considered that bad?

Her chase. She had to down a survivor to place a trap. Sadly this is where she suffers a lot. Getting g a down can take a lot of time as a Pig.

She also has no map mobility to defend objectives.

Overall, she is a soloq stomper that even decent swf have problems dealing with, while being fairly weak against coordinated teams.

    That's the thing.

  • Good job!!!

  • IMG_20240325_010804.png

    ✨🐽✨

(She's still missing her beartraps in the lobby guys... Why is this taking so long?)

  • @Ilikechips Never doubted the authenticity of the statistics you mentioned. I can definitely question the statistics from nightlight though. But that's not the point of the discussion.

You seem to misunderstand my point. 60% kill rate. Big number. BUT before you just say: killer sided game, survivor dead, you have to ask yourself : how do these stats come to be. What is maybe the problem with those stats? Why should we take them with a grain of salt?

Let's start with Piggy while we are at it. Why do you think she has a kill rate this high?

  • @Ilikechips said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3701717#Comment_3701717

I am not pushing us vs them. The developers want one side to be strong and easy, the other side to be weak and pointless.

That's on them. 60% kill rate Minimum across all killers. Minimum. What's the ceiling?

At this point I don't even think there is such a thing as a healthy buff for killer. It would just be a buff on the most buffed side.

According to night light the pig already has a 59.33 kill rate. She already kills nearly 60% of survivors on average across her matches.

You still require more pig buffs?

I don't even know what to say to that.

Those are stats. Stats have to be interpreted. If you can't do that, you shouldn't work with them. Your just spreading misinformation.

Well, I thought only poor survivors like you get nerfed… Not really, but that doesn't fit your narrative.

Funny is that except MFT, what exactly you had nerfed recently? Other than that it's mostly killer nerfs…

    So recently:

    • Pig can't see traps
    • It's easier to play against Clown (vision)
    • Mangled was nerfed
    • 3-gen feature
    • Onryo was basically nerfed
    • Blight best addon's got nerfed
    • Blight hug tech is about to get nerfed
    • Chuky flick got removed
    • Save the best for last was nerfed

But only survivors get nerfs, right? Doesn't seem like it…

I really hope this mentality will cease to exist. The developers are not "insert role" - sided. Both sides get nerfed and buffed.

If someone solely plays one role, their mindset can become very focused on the well being of this one role alone, antagonizing the other role in the process.

Buffs and nerfs in this game are weird. They mostly don't come in slight or well thought out patches but with a sledge hammer, deleting the problem in an instant. Look at ultimate weapon or overcharge. Both of these perks are / will vanish from load outs due to the nerfs being too severe. Healing also got the sledge hammer until the community called out the devs for this decision. Similarly to how they wanted to erase 40s off the Pigs timer.

It goes both ways, buffs are also sometimes horrendous. Look at twins for example. How did they not see, that these changes would create an unbeatable chasing monster? One can't be that oblivious. How did mft and eruption remain in the states they had been for that long???

The game favour's no side except the one that brings the stronger stuff.

    The devs favour no side.

    1st Game:

Singularity hooks a Leon and starts to chase and down an Ada Wong.

Leaves her down and uses his teleport to come back to the hook right as the save happens on the Leon.

Why would I play this game? So I die on hook. :)

    2nd Game:

Leon gets downed. Haddie gets downed right next to Leon.

Leon gets hooked. I go for Leon. Haddie gets hooked right next to Leon because the hooks are literally right next to each other most of the time.

Unknown hooks Haddie and then goes back to Leon's hook and then is able to hit me AND spit the bomb on me.

Why would I play this game? So I die on hook. :)

Like how are any measures being put in to actually help the survivors enjoy the game? In the past 2 years there has been nerfed flashlights, nerfed medkits, nerfed survivor perks, nerfed loops, nerfed boons, an increase in silent killers, an increase in anti-loop killers, an increase in teleporting killers, an increase in aura reading perks, an increase in screaming perks, an increase in exposure perks. What have survivors gotten exactly? The ability to unhook if a killer stays right in their face HOPEFULLY before they hit 2nd hook as long as no teammates are around? I'm sure the additional seconds to decisive strike will help in the next patch………….. as long as you do nothing that is considered a conspicuous action… such as existing.

I already know these forums are killer-sided. The devs are killer-sided as well. But if no one ever actually speaks up for the survivors, you're going to lose them all.

PLAYERS DO NOT ENJOY SOLO-QUEUING ANYMORE.

PLAYERS FRIENDS HAVE STOPPED PLAYING BECAUSE OF THE IMBALANCE SO THEY STOP PLAYING ALSO.

The first one seems not that bad. The problem seems to be your mindset.

If you give up just because the killer slugs for some pressure, then I don't know what to tell you…

Every killer is receiving buffs. See the various reworks aka buffs to killers over the last bunch of patches. There will continue to be reworks aka buffs to various killers in the future. Anything to push the kill rates even higher that they are now.

Overpowered twins are on the way.

Haddonfield nerf aka killer buff is on the way.

You are under the opinion that certain killers need buffs. That's fine.

    When does it end though?

When kill rates are 60%, 65%, 70%. When killer gets so easy you can tap your little finger on the mouse a couple of times for an easy win and some cheap endorphins?

    When is enough enough?

I always say, it's only going to get worse for survivors. This is a fact. Solo escape rate was 38% before huntress buff, twins buff, Haddonfield nerf etc etc. It's going to be around 30% soon.

Solo is awful to play. It will only get worse.

You will get your killer buffs. The devs want the game to be easy mode for you, so they are on the way.

What I want are healthy buffs. Not even the most try hard killer mains want the twins rework to go live. You must see that.

Take Pig for example. I mained this killer for over 2k hours at this point. I went really deep into the "buff" and the thing we have now can barely considered to be a buff. The only thing that actually got better is John's medical file, now allowing the Pig to crouch around the map at the speed of a survivor running. Otherwise I can't say, that her chase has drastically improved. It's still pre dropping and shift w. Still as effective as before.

Not every buff is truly a buff.

Some buffs are definitely too much, like the twins and huntress shenanigans that are happening, have happened.

I can't and don't want to defend the devs for their sometimes horrendous balancing decisions, but pushing for us VS them is not the way to go friend.

  • When ever I see competetive DBD I cant help but laugh. I dont know how these people can take this game this seriously. Some things are hyped up for no reason, making the whole thing seem to be more than it actually is.

The reality: some of these teams and killers give a worse performance than public players. Sure, saying that based on one or two matches would be disingenuous. However, I htink I have seen and played against some of these people enough to have a reason for that opinion.

Comp in DBD is not really something realistsic due to the game being in the state it is in since it came out. Its, as others have already mentioned, an RNG-fest with a ton of unbalanced stuff. That there even is something like a competetive scene just shows how desperate these people are to play this game on a higher level, when realistically there is none.

    I know this is harsh.

Just posting facts. I am sorry if that upsets you although I wouldn't consider myself a reappearing phenomena until I have over 2800 posts.

I did by no means get upset by your posts. I am however under the opinion, that certain killers need buffs. Nothing wrong with that.

  • I think how stale it gets depends on the player.

I myself could play endless hours of Piggy. Others can play hours upon hours of blight. Survivor, especially soloq is always a mixed bag, so every match feels different.

It all comes down to what your expectations are on the game and each match.

Are your bringing the same stuff every game?

Are you playing the same character every game?

Do you value the fun of a match over winning?

All these are very subjective and how stale Dbd becomes for you, heavily depends on the answers.

  • You seem to be a reappearing phenomena. You trying to spread a message?

  • Demo and Piggy for as top for me. Demos scream just feels satisfying and landing a triple mindgame ambush is the best thing ever.

Worst is probably Singularity because you know that that one hit is nothing for the amount of time you wasted to get it.

I like the sound notification though.

In terms of the Ptb version of the scourge hook version: I still don't get why a consistent long range aura reveal is so problematic. Similarly to Bbq it could have been a perk to encourage leaving the hook, going for different survivors. The version we have now is not really worth using.

Absolutelly true, there is much to learn about the game, however concluding that if a player uses a certain strategy they lack skill because of it is a tilted statement or completely ignorant.

Tunneling while obnoxious is a strategy that can be used to be more effective in the match, in fact knowing when to tunnel or spread hooks is a skill in of itself.

If you NEED to tunnel in pubs ill agree your skill is lacking but even the best of players employ tunneling if its necesary

    When did I mention tunneling?

Survivors have been awful to play lately unless your in a swf group and even that can be pretty rough. Meanwhile killers get more and more buffs while maps get weaker and weaker for survivors.

The only real recent 'buff' that comes to mind was the anti camp but that's laughably bad. A bubba 16 meters away is just as effective at face camping as a bubba 1 meter away from the hook.

And after looking at the actual atrocity that is the ptb I just get the sinking feeling that the devs do not care at all anymore about survivors experience anymore and we're just here for cannon fodder for the latest 2,000 killer win streak.

Believe it or not, but killer players usually dont just want free wins.

That's at least what I hope for this game.

As a killer main myself, I consider a fun match as a win over a 3k or 4k.

Not even the most hardcore killer gamers like the Twins rework.

Very insightful. The fact that not only have I escaped VS her literally every single game but I have only gained 3 stacks of condemn max the entire match that she pushed while playing against her tells me all I need to know about her strength. The only thing that is making her viable is that people are confused about her power.

I taught my friend how to counter her in literally 20s the first time we played against her and she also has never been close to being condemned from the 20s it took me to teach her. As a survivor you not only have complete control over her power but you have complete and total information about everything she can do. Even the addon that's entire purpose is to confuse the survivor (VCR) can be countered completely because of the aura changes in 3.0.

Giving survivors all the information they need and the counters to a power with 0 downside makes a killer literally powerless no matter how good you are with them.

So you played against one Sadako that didn't know how to play effectively...

That is supposed to say what now?

If you play against a Pyramid Head that never hits his attack, he's also super simple to play against.

    I have to again disagree.

Sadako can be pretty strong in general and even unbeatable in one scenario. As someone with almost 1k hours on her, I think I know what I'm talking about. I win very consistently with her. Even without slowdown. I also play against people that call themselves comp players pretty regularly, so my opponents are (usually) not stupid.

Glad someone realizes they gutted Pig. I used to love Pig for the same reasons as Onryo, the macro game play. They basically destroyed it and turned her into just another anti loop killer like the other dozen. She lost all her uniqueness.

Not entirely. You can still play her this way. I main Pig for over 2k hours at this point and still get a lot of headpops.

I memorized a ton of box spawns through the years, so I can still play her this way. If you still want to play macro-Piggy, I strongly encourage you to use BBQ. It helps a lot with learning survivor pathing and box locations.

I dont get why she had to be nerfed at all, when the buffs arent even that noticable in normal gameplay. Shift w and pre dropping still disables her ambush completly. Only last will and workshop grease TOGHETHER gives the Pig a fighting chance against shift w. This does not compensate for nerfs in my opinion. Luckily she only lost the auras and not the time. At least there they listened to us. The real winner in this update was the Johns medicla file addon, allowing the Pig to actually use her stealth effectively.

Tape editing deck is poor beginner slow down. Even One Pump Willie just said this. It makes no difference at the end of the day. I made a video where just myself shut off 3 TVs alone.

3….out of 7….what can the other 3 survivors do.

RadiantHero could’ve been 1 of the reasons that initiated the rework, but ultimately I feel like that was a team-effort from a lot of people and Onyro mains respectfully in the community.

Of course it was all of us. I tried to help with constructive feedback when I could because I genuinely enjoyed the first version, just like many of us, and wanted it to return.

I definitely think this was a group effort. I think I just pushed people a bit.

I heard ring drawing is bugged to have both old and new effect btw

I thought they fixed this from the PTB.

Compared to most killers she’s one of the weaker ones for early game with all pallets still up. You’d also get faster condemn stacking spending that time differently. Also running ring drawing means you’re giving up bloody fingernail which is an unreasonable drop to me. Also allowing them to cleanse that extra condemn even faster than normal at the start since they’ve already got the tapes in hand counteracting the extra spread you got from ring drawing, even if you do get those early downs. Just so much more negative here with so much more risk for probably not more return and definitely less return when we realize the addon slot given up for all this.

That I can get behind. Its a really risky addon and ring drawing + bloody fingernails is propably a lot better. I do think however, that it is better than a lot of other addons she has currently.

What makes you like Tape Editing Deck?

To me it’s just making the survivors take less time to remove stacks since you’ve saved them an extra step. So you’re essentially taking a negative, just to see auras for a little on tape drop off. Just sounds meh to me. I’d rather just run remote control for better info with no negative.

its about early downs to fuel ring drawing.

I agree with 98% of your takes as you know on Sadako but I strongly disagree respectfully on your take with Tape Editing Deck. You and I have nearly close amount of played hours in Sadako. Go us! 😍

However, tape editing deck in 1.0 and 2.0 were more viable. In its current form it doesn’t preform well. I primarily use this Addon. I’ve tried every angle to get value out of it and unfortunately it’s really hit or miss because it’s outdated.

I would like once again to make it viable again. The best combo I feel personally that I can use it with is ring drawing. Anywho, just my thoughts my friend. 🥰

(These conclusion were made by me and One Pump Willie in a call on discord) Just our opinion though.

I would only use it with Ring drawing.

Yeah I tested it and found out they put it back in :)

Anti-loop is a classification given to Killers that shut down the Survivors ability to utilise a tile to its full strength. Killers like Clown and Doctor are anti-loop. Onryö does not have anything that stops Survivors doing what they want in every tile. Please explain why you insist that Onryö is an anti-loop killer.

Of course you're gonna get a stealth hit here and there. But the majority of players, especially at a higher MMR very rarely give you those opportunities. So that's where the argument comes from, it's a pseudo-stealth, just like Chucky. If it were consistent then I'd agree with you that it's good, but it isn't. When your stealth ability can be accurately compared to Chucky's, that's when you know it's bad lol You keep saying stuff like "this is the basics so I don't need to explain this" or "there is so much to go into that I won't go into it". It's a cop out, especially if you've got solid ground to stand on. If I'm wrong about Onryö, which I doubt I am, I'd love to hear an Onryö main tell me why she is slept on. So I can play her and see if she actually is. I'm planning on doing experiments with her anyway, but please explain in detail why Onryö is slept on and underestimated.

The problem with Onryö is this: eventually you have to commit to a chase to get a down. Whether that's to get a hook, slug them or kill them with the Inexorable Stare. However, as I've argued, she hasn't got the tools in her kit to consistently get hits on Survivors to put herself in a situation where you can judge whether a chase is worth committing to. You can play hit and run, try to catch them out when they're taking a Tape to their TV, but you're not gonna 100% know when that is happening, it's all down to predicting and game sense at that point. Staying injured has no real negative to Survivors outside of making unhooks unsafe, but like I just said, Onryö can't consistently get hooks. She is very close to her original design in this 3.0 version, and the way she was played in 1.0 was a slugging TV spammer that ignored hooks altogether to get Condemned kills and then hook people when the match was over. I can imagine people trying to play a weaker version of that play style once again, but with Mangled being nerfed and there being more anti-slug perks that are available (FTP+Buckle Up) would just hard counter that play style. On top of that, you're gonna be tempted to hook someone to lock in their Condemned progress. But 3 stacks is too low of a number. I personally think it should lock in at a maximum of 6 on the first hook.

Right now, I just don't see a play style or loadout that gives Onryö that power she once had. Like I said, I'm gonna be experimenting with her soon to try and see if she can be salvaged.

I consider the Pigs ambush a form of anti loop. Sadako has the post - manifestation invisibility that i consider a form of anti loop. It can situationally lead to hits if executed well. Just like the Pigs ambush. I dont say that she is an anti loop killer, just that she has a form of anti loop, just like most other killers. Sadako is a strategic stealth killer with a secondary ability (condemned).

I cannot tell you that you should or should not play her. Its up to you to play her and find out if you like to play as her or not. For me, she, just like the Pig, is the perfect killer design. Mostly m1 - mindgame - focussed, strategic element, stealth. As you said, you should not commit to chases much as her as her ability to down survivors is pretty weak. Pre dropping or shift w is sadly very effective against her. You mention something funny:

"you're not gonna 100% know when that is happening, it's all down to predicting and game sense at that point."

This is what I do. I know where survivors take tapes and have to deliver them. I know what pathing they usually do and catch them off guard. I know where boxes as Pig are and what pathing survivors will take. I know how long it takes to search a box and can predict their location based on that information. This is why I play these killers. This is her skill cieling. If executed perfectly, you can condemn people really fast. All you need is to know where they are. If you can develop a high level of gamesense, which is admittedly linked to experience and playtime, she can become a force to be reckoned with. I understand that this type of gameplay is not for everyone, but for me its why I still play DBD.

I usually play with ring drawing and bloody fingernails.

Ring drawing rewards me for hooking survivors that I downed when I correctly estimated their location and downed them.

Bloody fingernails helps me in chase to get hits or even downs and gives me more distance back when using projection mid chase to condemn people.

Slugging is by far not the best playstyle on her. Its a mixture of hit and run, strategic hooking and spreading condemn agressively.

I can recommend this build for learners, because it focusses on all the important parts of her kit:

    • Stbfl
    • Surge
    • Hex: face the darkness
    • Discordance

I used this build back on OG Sadako and used it now on 3.0 Sadako until it became unecessary and boring.

She can propably not reach the power level of Sadako 2.0 in normal matches, but if you want to literally stomp people, regardless of skill level or swf, with her, send yourself to the gideon meat plant and use my build / strategy. I have not lost a game on that map with her since the rework and not with OG Sadako as well. She is straight up unfair on that map and I already told this to the devs multiple times. The gideon meat plant should just be reworked.

Shes doesnt need to be "salvaged" shes decent but in need of some tweaks. I am glad that I can play her again after the hot mess that was Sadako 2.0. I refused to play her during that time.

Personally I currently side with @radiantHero23.

I believe Sadako is not far away from the Pig currently, and only edged out really by the nastiness that Pig exerts with scream builds for head pops. As such Sadako maaaaybe is a little on the weaker side comparatively, but it wouldn't take much to push her into overpowered/obnoxious territory, so one has to be very careful suggesting buffs for her.

I'm not 100% sure she needs a buff, but if she does, she doens't need a big one.

If we're looking at addding back a passive condemn build up on her tapes, this would porbably help a lot of players… but I wouldn't have add it and leave it as strong as it used to be (1 condemn every 25s) in conjunction with the global TV condemn. Some buffs I would support on her:

    • Tape retrieve/insert time upped from 1s to 1.5-2s.
    • Passive condemn brought back onto tapes at 1 condemn every 30s (originally 1 condemn on pickup and 1 condemn every 25s).
    • Buffs to several add-ons, notably Welstone, VCR, Tape Editing Deck, but a genereal add-on tune up wouldn't be a bad move.

With additions of passive condemn back to video tapes, when combined with global condemn it becomes too strong. As such I would introduce these additional changes: -

    • Teleports to a TV will afflict any survivor within 16m range of that TV with 0.5 condemn directly.
    • Teleports to a TV will afflict any survivor within 16m range of any powered TV with 0.5 condemn globally. This is in addition to the condemn granted by the direct teleport.
    • Survivors on different elevations to the powered TV will not be affected by the global TV 0.5 condemn.

This would make her condemn a little less punishing vs. newbies not grabbing tapes, but more rewarding for good Sadako teleports, while also introducing a risk vs. reward element to grabbing tapes. If you grab a tape you must be sure to deal with it… when combined with the lock in condemn effect, this would all be quite potently rewarding for good Sadako play.

Someone that remembers my suggestion with the Gideon meat plant. I feel hugged!♥️🐽♥️

I would however go a different route:

Just rework this horrendous map. Its unfun for almost all players.
