Its very understandable why survivors are rage quitting. The game is too stacked in killer favor.
Players should quit if they are unhappy because it's the only way BHVR will improve survivor gameplay and balance. Playing DBD because you are addicted to what? Suffering? That literally makes no sense. If a game is very unbalanced you play something more rewarding for your time invested. A proper game makes you feel rewarded, not to suffer for it.
girl be for real i'm a 5k hour survivor main that never plays killer and the game is not killer sided in the slightest unless if you are lower mmr solo queue and what percentage of the game is that lol
but you're right in every other aspect. there SHOULD be changes to make the game more tolerable for solo survivors it is absolutely abysmal unless if you are at the higher end of mmr where you know your teammates are at least competent at looping for a minute and will get you before 2nd hook. it's just a mess

Why's SWF being the center of discussion here? Have you ever played solo Q?
SWF>>Killers>>>>>Solo Q is the general consensus and yet you complain about being matched up against what, 4~5% of the entire survivor playerbase?
You can't seriously want a "fair" asymmetrical game when there's Discord available for everyone. If you don't like playing asymmetrical games, then go play something else.
killers will play against ONE top mmr swf and assume the entire player base is that and want all survivors nerfed to the ground. if killers played solo queue (especially prior to mmr), they would know how much of a trainwreck those games are and that it's basically u versus 4 killers
-
where are you reading ANYTHING on here that wants killers nerfed? this forum is heavily populated by killers that post anti-survivor things like nerfing dumb perks like DH and BT and complaining about body-blocking and flashlight clicks daily...
you keep saying 'buff killer' but that is literally the biggest generalization ever, do u actually mean nerf survivor? bc that's what it sounds like

Having zero to little hours on a forum shouldnt and doesnt have an effect on this post. They could literally be top 10 killer or survivor in the world and just made an account for this forum to express their opinion after playing the game for a long time.
all we need is more people complaining about killer.. regardless of whoever they are, they are a pick-me survivor that just posted here so killers can have their egos fed

Well lets see, you did state that this is more killer propaganda which means you obv dont care for the other side of the game. Then, when someone said "why dont you try killer" you gave a very snarky reply which just shows that your an entitled survivor😅
if you took the time to look through my other posts i do sympathize w killers ONLY with boon totems, most other complaints killers have are ridiculous
i don't play killer bc i don't want to, i am very good at survivor so there is no need for me to play it

then maybe don't tunnel and camp all the time? so many killers camp or tunnel for the wrong reasons then get surprised when a whole team of survivors are bitter towards them in end game chat.. if it was for a good reason then just ignore it, not that hard
-
this is genuinely one of the worst suggestions i have ever seen from a killer on here and that is saying something lmao
some of yall just want this game to be absolute h*ll for solo survivors and people with disabilities and it shows... if all aura showing perks were eliminated how are people with hearing disabilities able to know where someone is hooked😭get it together because this post is just an absolute mess

People talking about killer propaganda, but the huge queue times should ring some bells.
Higher mmr killers stop playing due to tryhard swfs, low mmr or newbie killers cant learn to play killer, or do not proceed playing killer, because they get stomped by high mmr swf survs, which is not fun either of course. Find the issue(s)...
Mmr and swf, are the biggest problems right now. In my opinion swfs should get a handicap since they get a huge advantage. E.g each additional friend joining gives you a handicap of 5% to repair speed or something comparable
i literally don't get why ppl are saying that survivor queues are longer?? my queue times now (solo/1-2 man swf AND 4 man swf) have been faster than they were earlier this year.. there are millions of active players in this game from all levels of mmr and locations it is ridiculous to assume everyone has flop queue times
the only issue i see with swfs are boon totems... if u want that x% repair speed decrease then run pentimento and hope the survivors are bot enough to cleanse every totem

It's the truth. Why don't you drop survivor for a month and play killer every day. Your mmr will go up and the matches will be unwinnable trash against 4 man OP SWF.
sorry i'm already top mmr for survivor and plan to keep it that way!💋
every 4 man swf isnt op yall just are unable to capitalize off mistakes they make & can't take an occasional 1-2k match and thats YOUR problem. for every 1 4-man SWF there are 9 other lobbies with its fair share of incompetent survivors
-
just get a bully squad swf period

I just want to point out the "pallet tech" isn't a tech. It's an exploit since you aren't supposed to clip inside a killer when vaulting but they somehow still haven't fixed that yet despite you being able to push charlotte out of the way when you vault into her while she's idle.
not the blight main saying what is and isn’t an exploit please
-
great more killer propaganda
-
no offense that prob just means ur survivor mmr is low😭also what do you expect when no one can communicate with each other and at least one person on your team is urbaning when they hear your terror radius and self caring after they get hit
prior to mmr it was a lot worse, i exclusively played solo before mmr was released and matches were genuinely the biggest train wrecks. solo survivor is STILL awful now but with the addition of boons I think it made games a lot more manageable.
just bring COH, kindred, and a decent toolbox and that will help a little so you won’t have to pulling teeth to get heals or being unhooked
-
some of yall need to calm down… most of you mad about comms are prob just bitter you don’t have a group of 3 friends to play with
if bhvr ever made a swf or solo survivor experience option in game, every killer would opt to play with against bot solo survivors😭this would cause swfs to never get into games and be a disaster
the whole point of DBD is that every match is different and some will be a lot harder than others, if you don’t like a challenge just say that
-
i don’t know why you think bhvr would care about killers complaining about DH or BT on here every other day
killers also literally had every add on reworked in one of the most recent updates so idk what you’re so mad ab
if you took like 10 seconds to look at the BHVR twitter account it’s just noob solo queue survivors complaining ab camping and tunneling and i have yet to see bhvr care enough to respond to one of them. this is literally the same as killer mains whining on this forum after having a flop game upon the hundreds of posts about nerfing (and sometimes even getting rid of) DH & BT😭

Yeah, having done both, I find it hard to believe you want to have a constructive talk with anyone when this is how you engage with people.
It doesn't really come across as good faith, or anything other than mocking from atop a high horse, really. Like, this constant characterizing of killers as whiny immediately makes it clear you're not here to help people, you're here to crap on them. Addendum, all the "just get better" comments. There is far too much hostility here for this to be a helpful discussion.
You're not wrong that this forum contains a lot of whining, but you are wrong that it needed another thinly veiled powder keg. Nothing you say in the original post is incorrect, but it doesn't really address the reason people get upset about this issue, either. Yes, everyone makes mistakes in their gameplay. People screw up constantly and this is true on both sides. Because it's true on both sides, it shouldn't be the case that survivor players have more ability to recover from their mistakes than the killer does, and yet this is something I have noticed time and time again as I switch between roles - a good chunk of the team needs to screw up one after the other in order to swing the balance of the game, but the killer just needs to commit to one bad chase, lose someone, or check the wrong part of the map and they just cannot recover in that game. One survivor messing up doesn't matter that much in most situations. The killer, however, can't keep up with the cascade effects of one mistake until the survivors make several or one serious enough mistake in return. This makes playing killer stressful in a way that survivor isn't; there is nobody else to bail out your mistakes or pick up your slack, and when you're playing at levels where your opponents run things skillfully, you are under immense pressure to perform absolutely perfectly at every instant of the game because you cannot bank on those mistakes happening. At all times you are juggling everything four players are doing and whether or not it is/isn't feasible/necessary/too costly to stop them, and that can feel absolutely insurmountable against a coordinated team with strong resources.
Like, say I'm chasing the first survivor I found. It's taking too long and at this rate, I know I'm not going to catch them before 3 gens pop - they're too good and they have too much to work with, as it's the start of the game and all pallets are still standing. Except I don't actually know where anyone else is. If I abandon chase and check the nearest potential gen, I might find someone else. Is that player as good as this one? I don't know any of these survivors yet and I haven't gauged their skill levels or playstyles. I don't know if this guy will predrop or if they'll greed, if they'll loop tightly, if they'll take me away from this gen so someone else takes over, or if they'll take me all over the map and help me interrupt other survivors. Will they try to commit to the gen and give me a free hit, allowing me to start this very late chase on a good leg, or are they going to run early and take me to a structure? If they're as good as player #1 and they run early, I'll be in a worse position than I am now chasing the first guy, because I've already made some headway and gotten a pallet or two, a health state, maybe even their exhaustion perk. A strong survivor in a fresh area could eat up another minute and a half to down and I cannot afford that. Or worse, what if there's nobody at the gen that I check? What if there is somebody at the gen, but they're hiding and I don't find them within ~10 seconds? I don't have the time to search just like I didn't have the time to complete the chase. I can only reach one more gen before the point where gens pop. Next gen, rinse and repeat the questionnaire on how the total mystery survivor will perform and act. And if I guess wrong again at the gens, now I've lost the one person I was in the process of chasing, they're already healing up, and I lose all three gens anyway.
So do I keep chasing the survivor? If I do, it's not because she clicked her flashlight and my dumb killer ego couldn't let that go. It's because I'm gambling that since everyone else in the lobby had flashy cosmetics too, they are confident in themselves, they're calling me out if they're a SWF and I can't assume I can catch anyone off guard, and I'm putting all my chips in this because only a survivor making a mistake will stop the 3-gen-pop at this point and I can't bank on that. This way I can guarantee a down in the visible future and clear out some strong tiles that will become issues later, since all the gens being done have not been near this chase and I may be able to squeeze a 3-gen out of this.
So it goes.
Realizing you're making the wrong play doesn't immediately light the path to the correct course of action. Sometimes your only options are to double down or flip a coin and hope it lands heads. There's none of that downtime where you're sitting on a gen watching your teammate get chased in the distance. You're always in the pilot seat and so often it's not even a "there is no way I can recover from this", you can't even pinpoint what you even could have done to salvage things, because there was just too much working in the other team's favor from the start. And I've gotten that as survivor, too, but it was always spread across four people. Very rarely was there a situation I could solely call my fault, or that I was the only person who could have changed things that match. So as far as advice goes, "lol do better" is about as helpful as "just don't get caught lmao." It's self-evident and people are already trying to do that.
I don't have an issue with survivors. I have an issue with the game balance. I have an issue with people who defend particularly egregious bits of bad balance. And I also have an issue with BMers, because I have no patience for people who try to rile up others for their own amusement and self-aggrandizement. And that might include this thread? Or it might not. I'm not quite sure why you made this, but I don't really get the best vibes off your posts here.
i've had constructive discussion w ppl who actually comment something they want to discuss, not people who are just calling me out for baiting or making this just to see killer mains complain. i can see how i may be seen as being hostile to ppl
i completely agree w what you said ab how killers have no one but themselves in matches, whereas survivors have 3 other people to carry their weight if they flop. but survivors can only do so much to carry their teammates, ESPECIALLY in solo queue where all aspects of the game are an absolute disaster.
i can see how high level 3-4 man swfs are unfair, but i've played MANY games where killers easily caught our few mistakes and completely turned the game around. because of this, i also mentioned how killers should review their gameplay especially if theyre high MMR, because after a while survivors can become only so unpredictable.

period
-
period your post served. i basically only play survivor and don't think either side is easy, but the constant hate survivors get from killer mains is laughable. like the constant DH complaints where it's a braindead perk that requires no skill.... like anyone can 'press E' for a DH but only a certain level of players can press E and use their DH to make their chase last longer and turn the game around & make use of the perk.
while 4 man swfs bringing prove thyself, coh, and sweaty items can be a nightmare to go against, all of these in a solo game will still make these games basically a 1v4 for survivors
more killers should def play a round of solo queue survivor and they will just see themselves how much of a nightmare they are to play

ya and i LITERALLY talked ab how the game has been becoming more survivor favored with the addition of COH, prob the only thing i sympathize with killers on besides toxic flop players. my survivor queues are never long when i play solo and there are millions of survivors with different wait times so assuming that everyone's wait times are increasing is foolish

I have yet to see a single "Im quitting survivor" post, and you CANNOT tell me that survivors are not little whinny brats, who complain about everything.
i've never said killer is easy period and i'm fully aware of how whiny survivors are (e.g BHVRs twitter account where noob survivors cry ab camping). i never see top level survivors whining about gameplay because they are competent, only the ones that flop and can't escape for their life

Don't worry about them, they'll switch to Survivor or find something else to play.
I just changed my mindset, I assume every match is a full SWF and play accordingly. Which means proxy camping and tunnelling, whatever it takes to secure kills and get the 4K every game.
hasnt bhvr literally released stats on how many players play solo vs swf and most people play it casually and solo... which is why balancing at top level gameplay would just ruin the game for most of the player base😭if anything you should be flattered ur good enough to be playing against 4 man swfs
-
@concernedkiller said:
Of course people make mistakes, no body is perfect, but I think you are wrong that people complain simply because they do not want to own up to their own faults. I think the shear one-sidedness of the grievances is proof positive that there is something wrong with the balancing. In the current meta it is simply sometimes overbearingly stressful to play as a killer.
The problem lies in the fact that it is incredibly difficult to balance this game correctly. The skill ceiling in this game is rather high, which means balancing the game at all levels of play is incredibly difficult. What works to keep equilibrium in the highest MMR may not necessarily work to preserve balance in the lower to mid ranges of mmr. What ends up happening in the middle mmr range (which statistically most of us are in) is that 4swf squads absolutely dominate the killers. In order to play around people using comms a killer has to master just about every facet of the game to stay on equal footing with the survivors. While you point out that yes a player could review game play, it shouldn't be necessary for someone to practice a game simply to have a better chance to enjoy it. The game should be fun and exciting to play at every level for every side. My opinion is that the mid mmr tiers are something of a limbo, as the player is not yet good enough to be in the truly competitive sphere but also not so bad that the game is a goofy party novelty. The result is stale and repetitive game play that is inherently more stressful for the side with less players.
Look I obviously have a bias towards killers, as I think its more fun to be proactive and hunt rather than stealthy, but I think there are many flaws in the game that i'd like to see addressed. When the game is good it is good and there is a reason I am on the forums speaking my peace rather than simply moving to a new game. There is a kernel of greatness in the game and if BHVr plays their cards right a few simple tweaks will help them entice the new Epic games audience and create an infusion of new players to the base.
i totally agree with your post and actually thank u for not being so hostile unlike a lot of the killer mains on here.
like i said many times before, the game has increasingly been survivor sided with the addition of boons (specifically COH). while i don't like boon perks' design, COH is undoubtedly unfair to go against as a killer with a strong swf of 3-4 ppl.
i'm at near top mmr for survivor as i basically only play it (solo and w/ my swfs), and i still lose games frequently, which inclined me to make this post. i have went against all kinds of killers from literally newer players to 6000+ hour competitive players and have seen them all get 2-3ks just from capitalizing off from survivor mistakes. the sheer number of posts on here repeating how they are sick of toxic survivors for using perks, and wanting to get rid of DH and other exhaustion perks gets tiring to see when they can be countered. i do think that balancing should be based on swfs, but it also would be unfair to solo queue survivors.
i only brought up reviewing gameplay in that it is beneficial for killers to look at their previous plays to alter their play style. i always record clips of chases and watch them back afterwards and review what i did/did not do wrong and it has helped tons. sadly killers are going to have to adapt to this flop mmr system somehow

no but running pop, ruin, tinkerer, and discordance just shows that you are incompetent at monitoring gens 😭unless a team is sweating with prove thyself and gen rushing toolbox builds (which is an insane minority of the player base) there should be no reason 3 gens should be flying at the start of a game...

The argument “Learn to deal with it” is a bad one at best.
Don't like COH? Well maybe commit to chases but actually don’t because gens will fly but if you do they heal and your back to square one but the gens are still flying.
COH is the only valid killer complaint i have seen. it is undoubtedly unfair to killers when dealing with 3-4 SWFs with COH but makes solo queue games manageable to get through. bhvr should at the very least add particles or some sort of visual that indicates if you're within a COH radius (small or large), as it will help people with hearing disabilities.
constantly breaking boons will just make survivors spend less time on gens and memorizing totem spawns is not difficult at all. as a 100% survivor main i see no issue with tunneling if youre dealing with a team that spams coh

I don't blame survivor players, i blame the way the game is designed which i think is very favoured towards survivor right now. Just look at the bone chill event. It straight up gave survivors an advantage with no downside whatsoever.
regarding snowmen? it was just a cute thing added to the game that hindered chases by seconds at MOST. the hitbox of survivors jumping into snowmen was quite long and survivors could still be downed if they waited too long to get into it. the only way i can see this being a huge obstacle is if the surv has a syptic agent/syringe with someone around to body block. if then with all of this, it is EXTREMELY rare to have this all happen and wouldnt happen most games.

i'm a survivor main at top mmr for surv and play against top mmr killers constantly. while boons are absolutely overpowered in swfs, it makes solo queue games MANAGEABLE to get by and actually have a chance of escaping (aka not getting killed 5 minutes within a game because teammates r clueless).
if you cant hear a boon or figure out why all 4 survivors keep running to the same place in the map after every time they get hit, that's on YOU. if anything BHVR should add particles for killers around boon locations as it will help ppl with hearing disabilities but even then it's not hard to memorize where totems are at all. it takes the killer not even a second to destroy the boon, and if survivors keep relighting them, that's 14 or 24 seconds of one survivor not on gens.
unless y'all are playing in tournaments, this game is FOR FUN and not every match will be the same easy 4k against megheads and leons urban evasioning around the map, and that's the charm of the game.

Then Spirit is fine as is. Not everything in the game needs counterplay.
The whole point of Spirit is to end chased quickly with no input on the survivors side. Even then, most competent survivors run IW and will usually not go down in the first phase.
If you don't know the massive double standard you're making right now, just say that and move on...
killing myself on hook is counterplay to spirit

@Superyoshiegg said:
...people hate it because it has no requirements to use besides 'be injured', which is going to happen in a chase anyway.
It may not give as much distance as the other Exhaustion perks, but it's on demand distance with no downsides.
Sprint Burst forces you to move slowly lest you activate it prematurely, Lithe needs a vault, Balanced Landing needs a drop & Smash Hit needs a pallet stun. Dead Hard? All you gotta do is push
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/UOKPJUCDKGCD/image.png
It takes no skill, or effort, or timing to Dead Hard for distance. Mess up a loop? It doesn't matter, because you can simply Dead Hard to make it to the pallet/vault anyway. There's no counterplay to this. The Killer cannot prevent the Survivor from using it incorrectly.
It's a free second chance button that can be used multiple times a match with only a short cooldown between them. The definition of a crutch perk.
please not everything in this game needs counter play. the whole point of DH is to extend ur chase so you waste more of the killer’s time. even then most competent killers wait out dead hard and usually knock down survivors seconds after them using it
if u don’t know when to drop a chase just say that and move on…

do you want all survivors to run ace in the hole, slippery meat, technician, and urban evasion or something?? survivors will run BT, DS, iron will, DH for all the same reasons killers run pop, ruin, corrupt, and bbq… because if they have it they will use it to make things easier for themselves
do you want the game to give you a pat on ur back for running non meta perks or something😭

The fact that you actually believe that any half-decent killer would chase you for more than a minute is astounding.
most red rank killers (most of the time r rank 1-2) i go against literally do not know how to drop chases and get mad after they get a 1k lmfao
i literally ran a rank 1 bubba for 3 gens because i clicked my flashlight to take aggro from my teammates who kept getting tunneled
