Snowballing is a bad idea. Boon effect gen speed because it allows one person to heal as if someone else is healing them and the frees up a person to be on a gen and all 4 survivors can you it. Its actually a bad idea to stick to certain chases if they are in a really strong loop or run half way across the map away from any gens after you hit them you should probably drop that chase
none of what you said makes sense
genspeed always same until killer hooked or killed someone
unless you're hitting multiple survivors at once, it just makes the survivors' gen speed faster
If you divide the heal speed by 4 and calculate the distance and chase speed after hit,
even in self care standard you lose
and even badder if they using coh, which never happen if you camp someone
you don't need to create another variable situation
time is on your side only after one survivor has died

VHS comes out soon, basically an 80s Themed killer vs Teens in which the teens can fight back (and need to) no escape mechanic, no looping, nice team mechanics and even pings. Oh and it will be Free to play :)
free to play is not a good condition, especially for those who live right next to origin of covid
-
deathslinger was also nerfed simply because it wasn't fun to chase against
so there's no reason to play the new killer no matter what performance it does
-
@LeFennecFox said:
She needs a rework more than a straight numbers nerf. The only way to play against her is just leave the loop and it's very boring.
same method as pyramid head
just changed from vertical to horizontal and having more delay
-
It's ironic that people here think they have to do tunnel because of boon
boon had no effect on gen or chase speed
chasing several people and injuring them in itself is disadvantageous to the killer in the first place
-
It's not efficient follow killer to use flashlight
but if they succeed only once, still game will explode so its op
If the last minute switch or swf annoys you, I recommand stop playing Killer
survivor queue time is like 10mins now
-
do whatever you want
if you not having fun right now drop your mmr til you meet more casual players
-
I think twins are fine but just they're ugly
-
If you play as a killer you can be good at survivors
possible to understand all those survivors mistakes
-
ds and ub stronger and more stable
all boons not guaranteed anything
ds can slowdown killer and extend survivors life actively
boons can't even use without investing your times,
-
i like its full bright
in midwich i can't see
-
its personal
if something make you angry
just avoid that, its not worthy since this is one game
game is for filling empty times more funny way

Extremely unhealthy design. Rewards failure as its activation requirement is getting hit and promotes hold-W gameplay thus further punishing killers that don't have:
- an instadown.
- mobility to close distance quickly.
- a real ranged attack to ignore distance (i.e. Huntress).
How are you supposed to have fun playing non-mobility M1 killers?
survivors already using better perks in live server

Oof.
I understand your point but what about people who payed for it?
I am thinking myself if I should get something for my nancy or not.
nancy's jaw is more angular than the m1 abrams since Hellraiser's release, so it's not worth it

It doesn't solve the problem. We all want a ranked skill-based matchmaking, it's just what they have now is bullcrap. We don't need a "casual mode", we need a proper SBMM that actually estimates skill, and not just escapes, or at least the emblem matchmaking restored, since it was much better. Devs are just using this false dichotomy to cover up their screw up: "either you swallow this ridiculous escape-based matchmaking that is even worse than emblems, or no matchmaking at all for you, you choose".
if everybody tryharding and knowing what their doing in this game
this can't count as game
people should keep their low or middle mmr for healthy play
if you seeking competetive one try other games actually having skill gap

Taking one game out of a bunch doesn't make sense. I also have 4k with 32k BP with a PH sometimes but it's not because i have played better, it's because the other side made huge mistakes.
Being able to win on others mistakes is a thing but not being able to win because you cannot outplay them, you have to wait for their mistakes is not a good game design.
Maybe against another team you might have get 3 hooks.
It is also depending of the MMR you play at. Killer is really playable, even EZ at an average MMR or below but once you have reached the top, it's impossible to perform.
Or maybe you are a top 0,1% Oni player with 1000h with him and that's normal if you win most of your trials.
But look at the games i have listed, some got 4k playing fair. But globally, the average # of hooks is 4,7 lol...
I don't think you can keep the killer players playing if they do 4,7 hooks on average...
people doesn't knowing own mmr
someone played 4k game and looked survivors tryharding but killer won
meaning his mmr range around potato or did pretty good with ability hitting killers
wm1 hits happen with survivor's mistake or rigged maps

dead hard works like short invinsibility

Pips to a grade
not a rank or mmr
grade is for rewards and has nothing to do with the mmr
yea..title says remove mmr and bring back pips(grades) for mm
-
@scubasyd said:
Mmr is kill or escape. So camp and tunnel is a win. Creep around and wait for everyone else to do the work and escape is a win and your mmr increases. The old emblem system was wayyy better.
its not that simple.. genrush still gonna happen
and both sides gonna lose pips in that shorter matches
-
you left out an important part
swf players far more efficient than solos running same perks and wasting their slots
-
generally survivors like to annoy killer
if anything involved with flashlight in your mind
mostly its same mentality with teabagging

Huh where did you get that idea? I just said your post is a wreck to read. I don't care if you said anything since again I can't read it. Same for this one. Could barely understand what you're saying and what you're getting at.
i never knew reading that hard for you
i thought easy to get this words enough because i usually no problem with foreigners
it seems i need google for solving this or you are not grown enough

Lol this was a doozy to read and I'm just gonna say I like how they left a lot of strong survivor sided map in the rotation. Most maps that needs fixing is in the rotation lmao
saying kills and loops made you belive im main somewhat kid?
i shocked how na survivors played bad at twitch and still whine and thinking they knowing real balance of this game long ago
sorry for my english but read whole post first
its not about whine like you guys, about this game design is still too shallow
dbd players here all saying like this is their first game
enough to make them can't realize how incoursing better important than fake gen pressure and argue in forum

Don't run Sloppy into boons. The healing bonuses are so enormous that it really doesn't buy you much time, I find.
Plague is a good call though. Really need to pick her up again, used to enjoy her but am currently in a very comfortable Hag, Doctor, Pinhead, Demo groove.

I swear, I know your name from somewhere...
- The issue is finding the things, and that the time of a killer is at much more of a premium than the time of a survivor (you can spare 1 survivor out of four, but there's only 1 killer). There's a reason why you don't see top-tier killers looking for the boons - unless you run right into it, it's the wrong play 9/10 times.
- You are deliberately ignoring the fact that you still have to find the thing, and hope that it's not in an uncleanse-able spot.
- You are completely exaggerating on the sounds. Also, some killers make a lot of ambient noise, Demo is a particularly good example. It's much more difficult to find it via audio than you are making it out to be.
- Killers also have a much more restrictive FOV, which makes finding them visually much harder.
- Wait, I remember you. Aren't you the guy that defended some maps having uncleanse-able boon spots, because something something hex totems were broken 2 years ago?
Mm.
being serious not gonna help here most time
there always says "killers" not killer or killer player, it meant they didn't played killer enough already and just exist here to mock salted people
even if you using calculrated numbers and they all using "in my perspective" tactic it might handy.. just give up
-
they do that for teabagging but less sacrificing their speed
-
i guess its from killrate of real world
-
don't break them until one or two gens left and find them right before gate powered
or just ignore noed hooked guy and exit its easier
-
if this serious remind nurse existed as first ability hitting killer in this game

I actually did read the whole thing, I just have that little faith in the devs keeping a strong killer strong right now.
people not gonna play weak killer and they needs some money for their working so thats good reason
-
i can understand you sound triggered more than ever but killer playing could always stressful
so try survivor it may fit

So the new boon, which only works in 24 meters, which is enough of a radius for you to hear, is going to counter slugging?
Just step on the boon or don't slug. How difficult is that to counter? You literally can hear it if it's that close.
yes, only coh is non situational and strong at same time
-
he came enough and need some rest because nature is beautiful
-
i think there should be 112.5% (4.5) for blight and nerfed trash like deathslinger
-

Then why do we like killers like huntress?
current huntress very loopable like wm1 because she nerfed tons,
you can't loop deathslinger in chase but he not good at patrol camping
i never found any survivor "main" never played killer at high mmr liked deathslinger
since they nerfed addons she works like billy or freddy which still noob stomping killer and whole play based on tunnel and patrol
billy and huntress both unviable in most maps if all survivors are human being but recently its very rarely happen
-
old quentin wasn't even shaped like human
-
because he looks like teddybear and actually weak when survivors not feed him immediately from started
those people don't think he is strong so thats maybe the reason
if killer is blight they gonna tryharding their best loop as possible
-
if you play on console iw might hard to track with pad controlling and 30fps
but on pc only dh is op because buffed its user and give a middle finger agans its most favored hit detection
-
he is half wm1 anyway he should tunnel
-
canada people loving pc there should be least one female killer similar function as hellraiser
problem is theres only man characters killing without reasons
all female killers having situations and own reasons from it
-

Honestly, they need to come up with something better than hit validation. It's BS and everybody seems to time it just right now, even on quick hits and running them down for a moment before attempting the hit. I've come out of blinks where they had no mine of sight on me and perfect DH to avoid me. Its ridiculous.
And you know vaulting will get hit validation next. It's going to happen.
vaulting already having server hit confirm
dead hard is exhaust perk and thats why this got buffed

One thing is knowing, another is actually understanding the game well enough and what the problem is, to be able to fix it.
I've seen so many times proof of that they don't, because if they did, why wouldn't they already have fixed glaring issues rather than just whitelisting issues in their design, which normally would be considered an exploit (like gen-tapping), or attempt to fix it but actually just make it worse (like deep wound mechanic)? In short, they've shown so many times what can be described as this: Lack of proper judgment.
But let's pretend for now that they actually understand the game, it's problems and how to fix them, and if this is the case, then why don't they actually fix them? Or why do they sometimes actually further aggravate an already existing issue. Why do they implement new content that is broken or overpowered when released, when they should already know better and thus fix it before releasing it? It begs a lot of questions, but there aren't really that many correct answers.
How I see it, there is only like four to five potential answers, and every one of them could be correct:
- Devs are not competent enough - which also ties into knowing and understanding the game well enough.
- Devs don't understand their game well enough, or don't listen to those devs that understand it better than those with authority to make or break the game.
- Devs don't care enough about the game balance and working mechanics, but cares more about making new content, to make more money for the studio.
- Devs don't have their priorities straight.
It's been this way for years, since release of the game, even during their PTBs it's the same, which by the way seems to be more like a publicity stunt than actually testing and balancing the content.
But sure, they care about the game, there is a lot of effort there goes into making new content, but if they were as passionate about fixing the game design flaws, fixing game balance issues and so on, then those issues would eventually be fixed.
especially how many times they buffed and nerfed wraith again and its all about bellspint
they can't even guess which duration of bellprint is right and still adjusting spirit and gunslinger
from that perspective surprisingly done good with nurse nerf but
very recent patch was buff of blight so theres no standard
-
looping is only reason i play this game

It's absolutely a problem, in several ways actually.
- When you as killer actually hit and they should've been downd, you get robbed of the hit and of downing the survivor - they should be downed, not actually get away from an actually hit. I've lost count of how many times I've hit but they don't get downed as a result of using DH. I think it's fair they don't take the hit, IF they actually avoid getting hit. Otherwise, I'd like that killers get a perk that makes can make them immune to stun, if survivors can be immune to hits.
- Can be used in situations that glitches the game physics and mechanics, which is very favorable for the survivor and to extreme detriment to the killer, like for instance DH'ing through dropped pallets.
- It rewards survivors for playing badly.
- It prolongs the chase, in my opinion, unnecessarily.
- The more players in the match that use DH, the more it potentially further aggravates the above and the side note below.
As a side note, which only makes DH even more of a problem, the killer, at this point in the game's life, it depends entirely on survivor mistakes and especially if played competitively rather than casually,. If there is even a slight chance that a survivor can erase a mistake with no consequences, that is powerful. Extraordinarily. Powerful. - Which they can with Dead Hard as it is currently and have been for years!
the only problem of new deadhard is when killer scammed, there far longer distance than before
they didn't fixed dead hard, just buffed when it was balanced
but still i think sprint burst is better so its bad for you because i don't play killer now
-

Totally agree, spirit is still a powerful and viable killer to use.Good spirit players are very challenging to play against and are usually great fun,I play both killer and survivor equally and roster spirit and love playing against her, have been playing plague recently to mix things up,hard to master but also great fun to play.
when spirit is good as people says
only mother ling no else way to feel too strong as blight or nurse now
-
i think its feature since he is wm1 on first chase
also few restrictions there survivor can borrow more time from his m2
he is not good at snowball so it feels fair
but blight feels exploit for me but still even blight having higher skill cap than old nurse
-
i don't think dead hard is better than sprint burst because its useless agans some killers and still free hit if gen is not good placed
-
actually swf 3perks makes sense because im solo user
-
i like the concept but wonder it works in this game
genning or exit lever animations still bit of glitch caused from characters different sizes
