If these devs knew what they were doing, both Moris and keys would have been gutted three years ago.
The changes are good. The timing, as well as the fact that the key update still isn't ready is #########.
Also, because this company is more mistake-prone than me after three Run and Cokes, they SOMEHOW made it impossible to kill people with Devour Hope if they're not on death hook
Did they nerf devour hope somewhere?

Before, in addition to the timer starting when a gen is completed, a Reverse Bear Trap's timer would also automatically start once the Exit Gates were powered, which meant that attempting to cross through the Exit Gates while wearing a Trap would instantly kill you.
Now, the timer only starts ticking when a generator is a completed, and a Reverse Bear Trap will only kill someone trying to escape if the Trap's timer has started. If the gens are all finished (or the Hatch is closed), putting a Reverse Bear Trap on someone is pointless because it will never start up and thus will not kill someone trying to escape through the Exit Gate.

#########? Who said she's useless? And why does someone has to have a bad match in order to speak some truth? I havent played the game in like 2 weeks. It's sad how almost everyone in this community has so much sense of superiority that when someone has actual reasons to make a point they go with the clitche "oh you made a post because you had a bad match."
I made the post because SOME DEVS, who Im not gonna name here... think Pig is just ok the way she is right now...
Pig is just a m1 killer w no anti loop skills. So she basically sucks.
-
This is the only game I played, where the killer is genuinely scared of the survivors.
-
I use broken keys. I don't have any issues.
-
I want to play killer, but the dailies are always for survivors ...
This is unfair. Outright discrimination. I'm so mad.
-
The twins are essentially a mother and son.
-
I didn't even know they nerfed the pig.
On this forum, everyone tells me killers and their perks are essentially never nerfed but just a 'rework' due to some bull reasons like, it was OP, unfun, and boring.
And they're serious about their claims.
So now u can escape w a activated trap on ur head? Or it just simply deactivates once all gens are done?

Actually that's pretty false, they've basically stated before that fun IS a factor in how they decide to balance the game.
______
Anyways, I personally enjoyed the bug where Spirit could be heard while phasing. It sucked for her sneaking up on people on gens, with BBQ, etc., but I feel like it could easily be changed that if she started her phrasing within a certain radius close to you, THAT'S when you heard her while she was invisible, otherwise she could remain silent while phase walking to you from further away, if that makes sense?
That way, she could keep her long ranged sneak attacks, but her power would not be as non interactive as it currently is for survivor.
I think Spirit should still be able to hear while phasing, but I really, really hope that devs consider adding back her own audio cues while phase walking.
This game will never be balanced. U know how they say never?
Well... I'm saying never.

People say just do bones from samination like it's religious. I know I use inner strength 24/7 do bones isn't the point. Do bones works when you have a normal game when you're against a killer who isn't face camping each time they catch someone assuming the chases are short because I'm taking time to cleanse these totems when I could be helping finish the gens before we all get face camped to death. The killer at that point gets a 2-3k and if they don't have noed it becomes a wasted effort for points. Now if they aren't face camping then yes ######### do bones problem solved. The mori with camping situation isn't an issue anymore since they nerfed mories.
Face camp is rare. If ur that butthurt. Just stop playing this game.
Human memory is not dependable. U remember those moments vividly, even though u just had 10 games where nobody facecamped. But u feel like u been facecamped all day.

Tru3 didn't have any hand in getting it nerfed, also that playstyle he claims he "invented" was already a thing since Nurse was released. Thana nerf was just another tweak to an annoying perk.
Another tweak to a annoying perk?
I guess we need more annoying perks.

Then why was Legion changed? Fun should be a primary concern in reworking, not just whether the killer is too weak or too strong.
Than the game will just become broken. Too many arguments are made becuz certain aspects are considered 'unfun'.
-
If survivors can find a hatch, they can locate a down survivor.
-
"make her so incredibly unfun to go against."
Fun or unfun doesn't dictate a killer to be reworked. This is a epic fail post.

All I want is for NOED to gain an extra requirement to punish camping killers that use NOED. It doesn't feel fair that they camp two people to death and then get the other two because noed was granted free. Just make it require all four survs to be hooked once or it works only on hooked players. In normal games without camping the perk would still function as it should assuming everyone is hooked once and it still punishes survs for not doing totems. Also to OP if you rank up from camping you'll just get harder survivors to catch anyway and if you're not leatherface or wraith I bring borrowed time just to piss people like you off and do my best to make sure you get zero kills because camping is scum and camping to secure that 1 person kill is just pathetic in my eyes
We already know what the answer to camping is. Is to just deal w it.
NOED counter is easy. Just do bones. It gets rid of anything totem related. Survivors have the perks and the items to destroy all 5 in the first 2-3 mins of the game.
I totem rush half my matches. It's pretty easy.

I'm going to correct you on a few things:
- The entire FORUM community is not in agreement that it is wrong.
- The FORUM is not even representative of the entire DbD community.
- And the DEV have ALREADY stated it isn't wrong, cheating, or invalid.
Your assumptions are simply wrong. Tunneling, Camping, Slugging, etc. are all just tactics that Killers sometimes use. They are niche tools and when used incorrectly hurt the Killer. When used correctly and in the right circumstances they will benefit the Killer. It is ALREADY official that they are not against the rules, not wrong, and not really YOUR purview.
You should worry more about YOUR side of the game play.
When survivors complain about camping, they are not referring to when camping is utilize correctly. Survivors are complaining about when it is used incorrectly.
-
@Moundshroud said:

Why would they do this? They have affirmed on many occasions that Camping is a valid tactic. It is a tool to try to achieve the objective. If used incorrectly it will hurt the Killer. DbD believes in player agency and thus they don't generally don't impose them on player style choices.
Than why is it that, essentially the entire dbd community constantly argue that it is wrong, unfair, boring, and punish the campers.
Even some users who claim they are killer main say camping is wrong.
At this point, we can all agree it's wrong. So let's make it official so it gets rid of the confusion.

There are much more possible killer dailies than survivor ones. Every chapter, at least one potential killer daily gets added, the use your power 4 to 5 times one. Survivors technically get new dailies but its just basic value replacement, escape with new survivor. There's almost twenty chapters right now. That's a lot of potential killer dailies.
But more ppl play survivors. We don't want to play killers. I am survivor main. I only play killer BECAUSE of these dailies.
-
Can the devs put it in writing? In the game? Like on the main screen or in the tutorial?
That camping is wrong or it is simply not the objective? This will clear the confusion.
-
@Boddy604 said:

It absolutely should be punished.
The point of the game is for the killer to stop the survivors from completing generators & escaping.
The point of the game is not for you to stand and do nothing but wait.
That's not what the devs said.
-
@Altarf said:
As others have said, getting one survivor and one killer daily per day would be nice. Maybe a small amount of shards too. Otherwise, I don't think much should be changed; they're a fine system.
Do u know why it's always killer dailies? I'm a survivor main and I tend to skip the killer dailies.
I just want the survivor ones. But I always get killer dailies and sometimes get a survivor one.
-
But .. teabagging the killer is fun. It makes me feel better.

Are you saying it doesn't happen? Killers are able to corner Survivors in corners and if they don't swing, they're stuck there. Just because you haven't experienced it doesn't mean it doesn't happen, that's why YOUR anecdotes alone don't matter.
You are totally missing the obvious point. Survivors can't do anything to the killer to be truly toxic, so their aggression is released at the end game chat (that's why I keep it off) whereas Killers have all the tools they need to be toxic in game.
And when I say camping/tunneling/slugging, I don't mean as strategies. I mean as ways to grief: If you're camping a hook and a nearly finished gen, that makes sense. If you camp the first survivor you down for 5 gens? That's toxic. Get it?
"Are you saying it doesn't happen?"
A: no, i'm not saying that all. it is simply just rare. and has never happend to me. what's the purpose of this? there are 3 other survivors who are completing objectives while the killer... just stands there.... looking at u.... for no reason.
"You are totally missing the obvious point. Survivors can't do anything to the killer to be truly toxic"
A: this is simply false and you wouldn't know if you dont play killer consistently. dont be telling me u are a killer main. show me a video of u playing killer, otherwise judging by your comment, u are a entitled survivor.
"And when I say camping/tunneling/slugging, I don't mean as strategies. I mean as ways to grief: If you're camping a hook and a nearly finished gen, that makes sense. If you camp the first survivor you down for 5 gens? That's toxic. Get it?"
A: yes i do get it. i understand that it sucks. i understand the frustration of the survivor. i have been slugged, tunneled, and camped to death. when i use to be a entitled survivor, this really bothered me. and i really hated killers who do this. i use to send hate messages to them for camping me. i thought it was unfair.
it bothered me so much that i googled if face camping is bannable. becuz i thought they should be banned for doing this. but when i came across a video of the devs answering the ultimate million dollar question:
"is face camping bannable?" the devs said no. the devs said face camping is a viable strategy and they said not to bother them about it.
i was furious, i thought this was really wrong. so i went out to show the world of DBD how a killer should really play. and on my epic adventure of showing the DBD world that killer shouldnt do toxic things by playing killer myself, while playing killer consistently, i came to a realization that the real hypocritical toxic ones were the survivors. the shock i felt when i came to this epic truth. i have since stopped playing killer, but i no longer get worked up about getting slugged, tunneled, or camped. it is just part of the game. and ppl who want the killers to play in a certain way are entitled survivors.
i have since been cured of the entitlement mentality and play the game for what it is.
I really hope you understand what i am saying. if you play killer consistently, you too, will most likely come to this realization, and truly, understand the other side of the fence.

U don't really have logic, u just have a angle arguement.

@Felnex said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1824577#Comment_1824577
Your personal anecdote is worth nothing
Killers don't need to send toxic messages, the games gives them the means to be toxic through gameplay (caming, tunneling, slugging, bodyblocking to hold game hostage, slashing on hook) meanwhile survivors get "crouch/teabag to slow me down in a chase" and "clicky-clicky, let's waste my batteries"
I've never experienced body blocking to hold game hostage before by the killer. I got body blocked near hatch and exit gate, but not simply hold the game hostage. Isn't that literally boring?
But I've been body blocked by other survivors before and I couldn't get out until the killer heard the crow and came killed me.
As for camping, tunnelling, and slugging, that's just part of the game usually offended by entitled survivors.

Sorry to disagree but it makes no sense at all. Survivor entitlement wouldn't change a thing that doesn't help survivors and what they don't complain about.
Btw I'm collecting data as well regarding tunneling behavior, also taking notes on my games to see if I actually play as I think how I play. And guess what, 3.5k on average over 67 games. Totally killer sided game 🤣
But have u been playing survivor? Do u die as survivor most of ur games?
-
@BattleCast said:
Both sides have toxic people. Neither side is better or worse they’re all just bad.
They're actually not though if u truly played both sides. 99% of toxic messages I received came from survivors.
I barely get toxic messages from killers. Or they just remain silent and leave while survivors trash talk.
If I do message them, they're surprised I wasn't sending hatemail. They appreciate my good will atittude towards the killers. Even when I didn't get the hatch when the killer could of gave it to me. I'm happy for the killer. Cuz I'm not entitled.

Im actually a survivor main but sometimes I play killer for fun and for rift challenges.
When I play killer I play bad, but I dont tunnel or camp or slug and I use fun builds and bad perks. Because I enjoy the game and I dont care to win.
But half of end game chats there are always survivors complaining about me, insulting me for nothing... tell me horrible things I cant write here.... I always report this kind of players but I still saw end game chats like this.
Ive never seen a killer fair like me. I know that Im loosing but I still dont camp and ran away from hooks to practice chases and get better.
Survivors are escaping and still insults me in end game chat. They calling me a tunneler but everyone have been hooked twice...
I know the most popular opinion is that killers are toxic etc but its wrong survivors players are way more and insults killers for nothing.
Its very sad because this game is very fun but players are just trash people, sorry to say that...
I just want to say : Behaviour please do your job and ban players like this from the game. They are very hurtful for free, with no reason. There are games rules but they dont care because they are not banned and still in this game.
I just start to think that killer is the bad role and whatever your gameplay, kind or toxic, survivors just like to insult killers because they are the bad role.
When I started killer, I was a entitled survivor. I wanted to show ppl that u can play killer and satisfy the entitled survivors.
So I hook everyone 2x each so no one dies. And chase them enough so they have fun.
I let everyone go. I carry everyone to the gate.
But for the reasons u listed, and bullied the whole time. I came to a realization that survivors were the hypocritical toxic players the whole time. I think the nature of the survivor role makes them the way they are.
So now I kill everyone. Don't give hatches or carrying them to the hatch.
Except potatoes.

I think giving him more invisibility will only make him even more powerfull against potatos. Wraith needs something against looping.
Agreed. But if devs stop nerfing perks, wraith can be viable. He is weak, so rely on meta perks.

It's so sad to see people still think thana got nerfed.
New thana is better then old thana in almost every scenario. Marginally better, barrely noticable. But still better. Do the math if you don't believe me.
The only time old thana was better is when all survivors stop doing gens and constantly heal at which point you should already have won
Also 1 person won't be the difference of decision making in this game even if that person plays for a living. Especially with how much BHVR likes to work with statistics
U can be sad all u want. But old thana helps a lot, especially the weak Legion.
There was no buff to it. They just removed the healing part. Now it sucks and not many ppl use it.

If you stop running it, it is your fault. The power is Unnerving Presence with Overcharge and the additional 6% regression on top, crushing the gens...
But hey, if you prefer to rant and blame BHVR over running a still equally strong build... your choice

How would that work though mori animations are made for on the ground.
Also they want it to be the entity taking the sacrifice as that is the entire plot of the game lore wise.
And they can't make mori's themselves just base kit without the hook; because that would be broken. Mori's still negate an entire last leg of the match, no flashlight saves, no pallet saves, no Decisive saves, none of that.
If u do that, bbq becomes useless. And mori are instant death. Which means hatch opens asap.
If u hook someone, it takes several seconds for them to die and another few seconds for the hatch to be opened by the entity.
Which means u will lose the last survivor by mori.

Dude, you didn't read my post at all did you? Lullaby, again, did NOTHING of huge value for the madness skillcheck, because the pattern that the skillchecks appear, are ALWAYS the same! There is no difference if you have lullaby active or not, you KNOW the second you start snapping, there will be 3 skillchecks every 3 seconds!
Besides that, almo explained the reason for the change. It is not for complaints, but for maintenance, as each consecutive chapter will need a review if lullaby and other "special" perks will interact with the new killer power
It affects it though. It's not the pattern. It's the sound warning. So is the piggy traps.
We can agree to disagree. But even if it's a slight nerf, it is indeed, a nerf.

No he is not, his map pressure is abysmal (unless he is running speed add-ons) and he has very limited chase potential.
That's why they should stop nerfing killer perks. Thanataphobia was great on the wraith.
But when tru3 consistently 4k w the wraith w thanataphobia, the devs decided to nerf it.
-
They should just relax it a bit. My finger hurts and sometimes I die becuz I spammed it too fast or too slow.
I thought they fixed it in a patch but I died the other day when I didn't mean to.
But if they gonna fix this, they should also fix the bright white flash screen on the killer side as well. It hurts.

Shape doesn't need buff.

Wraith doesn't need any buffs. He is fine how he is.

@gibblywibblywoo said:
I agree with you. I use small game but the problem with said perk as a solo is you have no idea how many totems are left.
Ontop of that the additional aura reading can make high mobility killers that can drop a chase with no penalty and easily down in 10 seconds incredibly hard to defeat. Right now I think ruin/undying has sort of brought back the problem of old ruin in that it gives pressure for free.
I'm a solo player and I clear totems. If I see the remains of a totem, I just keep a mental note of it.
I tried it a lot. I have no issues.
The frustrating part is sometimes 3 survivors go down in a 30 second period and I have to abandon totems.
