I spare you all the 1st.minute and 20 secs on the basement's hook (2 teammates was around, waiting the good moment to attempt to unhook, the Trapper puts his traps all around to secure the basement bait)…
But it should work in this way:
https://youtu.be/h1cCkOLdtlI -
Oh please no ! Don't make me more reasons to throw the games…
Perks that need you to stay in the same place to success it since the start (with a very reduced chance to be chased during this time) are the worst & we have all the reasons to hate this concept !
As we can't be aware someone has this perk in his build in the waiting lobby, we can't dodge this cursed lobby while there is still time. I'm convinced this perk shoudn't even exist…So to add more invoc' in the basement ? No way !
-
From kosaba11 :
'The fact that slugging, camping, and tunneling are perfectly okay in the eyes of the devs is reason enough to blame them. When you encourage bad behavior, it's your fault when bad behavior occurs. '
Just this. So true. -
No idea. What these exclamation marks mean ? New cosmetics available ?
Maybe Devs have said 'something' about this secret thing… -
I'm mitigated about the underground:
in the previous version, there was almost half pallets of the map, 2 levels with 2 portals which they were easily reachable & abusable. The mainway gave you access to 3 gens, library with a portal, torture room with another portal, almost 2 vaults with good pallets & sometimes a double pallet. Add to that, hooks was outnumbered & hard to reach for killers
When Devs have noticed all that & they've made some changes…
But usually yes, if you are downed here, you are in very bad position because only 2 ways lead to the underground: stairs from the tower & the portal behind the building, near to the basement… -
Apparently this vault was too close to the portal : it allowed survivors to loop the killers too easily for so long or it was a kind of very strong/infinite window…
-
Yes ? And how much long ? 2 mins, 5mins. ? More ?
I guess BVHR are not very communicative about these kind of things…
-
'And realistically there is no way to differentiate normal players and SWFs'
I can do it by myself & I don't expect BVHR does that for me…
I just have to found the 'clues' for that first (if available naturally).
And still, the 'Anonymous Mode' should disable the replay 1st.Person Cam for everyone. After all, that is an 'Anonymous' Mode. And nobody will miss these replays, except to do what these guys did to @iamvladd2000 . -
Logically, and as far as I understand the meaning of the word 'consecutive', if you play 2 games in row (without quitting the game between those), you should have your XP bonus. On the contrary, if you close the game after the first of these two games, you lose the bonus.
But indeed, I can't confirm that is the real meaning of this 'consectuive match'. -
Et peut être devrais-tu plutôt utiliser cette section pour demander de l'aide (en français):
Ou celle-ci pour demander de l'aide matérielle à tout le monde (en anglais, s'il s'avère bien que c'est ton cas):
-
You have to use the report at the end of the match, on the scoreboard in postgame chat. On left of each other players, you have some 'Thumbs' icons. After clicking on it, you have to choose the kind of report you want to do, attaching your screenshots/video on it then you submit it.
https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us/articles/4408586278676-How-to-report-a-player
Or you can read this until the end:
"If you wish to open a support ticket to report a player you can do so here." -
A 'consecutive match' ? What do you mean ?
-
Avoid all the SWF if you are afraid to happens again ?
Can the Anonymous Mode disable the Replay 1st.Person Cam ? It should to be honest… -
-
Check what is happens in my last match as survivor:
https://youtu.be/FdaTY_zCkAgI guess my DC occurs just before I've unhooked this Sable. I could still move a bit but game had already shut down because of me apparently.
Maybe it was the same thing that happens to you ? -
@MechWarrior3 said:
same for me. They’ll find a solution soon 😊
'Technical issue' is the response & explanation 😒

Look here (it is just for an instance):
@Redageddon said:
I got disconnected because the DBD server stopped, but I received a penalty for disconnecting. It was not my internet disconnecting.
Or mainly there:
@EasternSpock said:
I am on PS5 playing on US East Coast servers, and have posted before about being kicked from matches and receiving "Disconnected from Host" error messages. With the latest update, the error messages were changed to be more clear. It now says, "Dedicated server is not responding; disconnecting...".
It happened to me today as Singularity right after I switched to a biopod, and suddenly realized I did not have a prompt to exit it. Though this is my first time experiencing this since the update, the same thing has been happening regularly in my matches since around January of 2023 and I have been receiving disconnect penalties for it which force me to stop playing the game. The error usually coincides with a change of health or hook states, using a killer power, performing an interaction, etc. Anything the server has to validate I suppose.
I hope the fact that this new error message specifies it is an issue with the dedicated servers will help BHVR to quickly resolve it. This thread includes hundreds of comments from a number of players that regularly experience similar disconnections, which we can now see are an issue with servers not responding: https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/366497/forcefully-kicked-from-match/p1
Please acknowledge this report, it's been an endlessly frustrating issue that has repeatedly prevented me from enjoying a game I've purchased content for. Video of one experience below, several other examples in the comments.
… and they close the topic without reply/explanation and pinned it as 'Not a Bug'.
So should we understand these crashes are intentional ? It makes sense and if it true, it is really bad they ruin their own game at purpose & don't listen all these reports about these unententional & random crashes… -
Yes, happens a lot recently. 'Technical Issue' explains the Support about that, but I'm convinced it is most from their own side as from ours.
No problem with my internet connection or anything… I'm convinced they should remove all the dust of their dedicated servers or change their wires… -
@Nightram :
"Dbd should make a better system between internet problems, and manually DC"I'm not sure the Devs can make a difference between these 2 things.
But they probably can add more servers &/or improve the efficiently of their dedicated servers (Amazon servers maybe ?) to reduce latency & stabilize all the game connections.

Omg that is a long time. Even for whatever reason to DC. Imagine struggling with your internet, and you get a DC after a DC, with some space to have a full match.
It is sad that if one have a little weak internet signals, that can't play dbd. Just getting penalties.
And support advices you to take a break 24-48hrs (to be sure) to make your total DC penalty decreases by 2 and so on until your penalty is totally resetted again. More, they invite you to 'check your internet connection' to fix a hypothetical problem somewhere (if you have it or it is just passing problem with your connection).

- "The killer receives a Killer Instinct notification on the last survivor every 10 seconds.
- If the killer fails to down and hook the survivor within 2 minutes…"
To stay alive 2 minutes in the endgame when all the pallets of the map are probably gone is a dream for killers. How a survivor can do that ? Not to mention the visibility going worst for the both sides…
Some ideas are good but I don't think it is really realisitic.
-
'What is the longest DC penalty can be?'
I think the max DC penalty is 100hrs. But I only reach the 72hrs. many years ago so I can't be 100%sure. -
I didn't look in to details your schemes but I definitively Like them as the first sight. Thanks for the effort.

Scratched Mirror a couple years back was fun, now its hard to get use out of the add on (with how many speed perks there are)
And with a Maps Offerings ?
-
'Why does Pyramidhead's cage negate survivor perks?'
Because PH is apparently the best killer designed to tunnel someone with a minimal risk. As the doctor can easily to avoid anyone to unhook a survivor with his power if he choses to play in that way. -
2018 bc maps had only strong loops where mindgames are always required to have a hit.
-
Out of subject but what do the SM's (3) stacks & how to remove them (except to be hooked I guess) please ?
Thanks.
And about the subject of the thread, for instance The Plague can't see what is the state of the infection by her vomit on the survivor neither... -
200 comments later and you still have things to add to this endless topic. Damn.

Violence??? In my horror game??? Imagine.
Exactly, like in Scary Movie. Hikes. It is just ridiculously bad to watch.
And DbD isn't the perfect definition of 'horror' but it is subjective I guess. -
Or, the more the AFC bar is filled, the more you have chance to success a free hook (0 AFC ⇒ 4% chance, full AFC ⇒ 100% chance) because this requires so much facecamped time to fill it completely… and killers know how (they are not totally ignorant) to stay away just enough to avoid that when they proxy camp.
-
Sorry but it was already debated in some other topics.
Long story short, BVHR said: "if it is still ingame, it wasn't an exploit". -
They are not YET cosmetics, they will be cosmetics in the future as BVHR has annouced different Mori's animations compared to the 'standard' ones (you will be very happy when it will come out @Insertcoolnamehere , as proof you already can watch all the available Mori's animations in the shop). Maybe it will be just a false promise but I don't think so as you will be able to buy it with the 'gold currency' (aka real money, I don't remember her right name).
But I'm agree, I found no toxicity in the Mori's, just the way the killers want to necessarily use it on someone before the end can be annoying & very boring. But this is for another topic…
-
Yes, and all that can be very well explained during a 'Kill With Your Friends' game mode. If you want some practice about 'How do I play SoloQ' we can get a try.
Tell me if you are interested, I will be glad to help you with the few that I know about the game. -
Aren't the Mori's just pure cosmetics sold into the shop rn ?
If yes, it will be nice to have same kind of humiliation from the survivors to the killer after 3 pallet stuns for the example, to balance the thing.
Except the fact we can't pass the scene as survivor as killer (just spoiling it a bit pressing 'Escap' during the anim), I feel that useless, ugly & unsightly (pure free violence ? ok BHVR)… just a perfect waste of time.
The only thing useful for the killer to mori someone is that saves him a hook. But as soon as the broken hooks will repawn after X times in the future, these 'secret offerings' (but 'secret' for anyone tho') are fully useless.
Finally, it adds absolutely nothing to the killer's gameplay, except some childish screenshots & fanarts exposed on their own profiles (that we can't even 'contemplate' during the game…). -
More interactions (like to climb, jump over smtg or to slide below) with the environment.
-
Yeah, very weird. I have heard about the DS bug but I never seen this one. 'Pretty good job' & thanks to share your record with us.
-
yes, this is working as expected.
-
But there, the cheats are obvious. Sometimes, it is more subtle…
You have cheaters on console too, and cheaters have starting to cheat mainly on console…But if you need it, yes, turn off the 'crossplay' option and you will only face off opponents on the same platform as you.
-
Nice but probably another license is required.
-
@leowt :
'Most of them only focused on getting good chases and hitting great curves.'
'That's why you see most of them always run engravings and boots (to make sure they don't get punished for messing up)'
False allegations here:
They only focused on SHORT chases & EASY curves.
A Legacy billy can do the same curves, the same chases WITHOUT add-ons. Yes, it is 100% possible. But using add-ons to cheese the chases is sign of laziness and it is hard to respect these NEW Billies playing as perfect beginners.
But we can blame them for that… -

Ive played since 2018 and have blocked 2 people both of whom were just hackers if you're blocking 1 300 people I think you might be related to LTG
related to 'LTG' ? What do you mean ?
I'm blocking players to avoid to be trashed. But if I see them in the lobby, I naturally dodge the lobby. -
I play since a long time and yes I have 1.300 blocked players. On 60.000 it isn't so huge.
My pants smell like to other pants, just don't put your nose on it. But I'm convinced to be blocked by a relative amount of players. Because I sometimes fail in game, so I can understand some people avoid to play with me for the next. But I'm not rancorous yet even I can be angry in the moment…
But enough spoke about me.
I still think a blocked list will be useful for players using it. -
'having to deal with engravings that make overdrive miserable to deal with.'
When his chainsaw becomes blue, he has to control much better their turns and sometimes it is a advantage for the survivor in the short loops or if he crounching because the aim is more difficult during overdrive.
We had some others versions of Hillbilly but they were not as balanced as it was actually (needed speed add-ons to be effective). But I still think his speed during & out of his overdrive need some little adjustements.
But I'm member of the Hillbilly mafia that say he's "so fun to play against" so I don't know… -
'Some that don't make sense to hit do hit (Look at shack hit later in the video lol).'
Maybe at 4:05 you should think these kind of hits 'don't make sense to hit' but it does because your can turn at the end of your chainsaw to cut someone around. This works as well to chainsaw someone crounching near to you.
At 1:10 : you probably have to learn what is the best 'direction of loop' (counter-clockwise I think) and what are the loops where you can make a turn.
On these loops (until 2:03), the elements of the environment can only make you to bump when you try to do your turn. So the best is probably to avoid to try to turn on it until your perfectly master your turns.
Or, you can try to force surv' to do some mistakes with some shorts forwards/backwards then to M1 instead ?
And remember, you are using Spiked Boots (yellow add-on to increase your turn rate) & the Low-Pro (to break a pallet and to make a injuring hit accross).
The Spiked Boots is good but you certainly can do the same thing without it. But it requires better timing.
The Low-Pro is good too but it is a bit tryhard and sometimes it is worst it (particularily in this mode) because you only injury the survivor, give him more advance & lost more time on him. This add-on is very situational & make you waste time for a smaller reward.
When I play Hillbilly I hate to bump myself against environment but I know I will do it anyways. So I take the green add-on for that, it reduces drastically the time to recover after a bump.
And about pallets, you can force survivors to use it if you have Enduring, because you can disrespect strong pallet then break it quickly (you have a power for that in this Event).
And using your chainsaw increases a lot your overcharge (4 uses without rev = approx full bar I think ?). Using the chainsaw during the overcharge changes your timing.
Finally you played on the 'good/best' map for Hillbilly. Remember, your games should be different on other outdoor maps (and I don't speak about the indoor maps like Lery's, Midwich or RPD :( )
I think you should try to train your turns on a custom mode against bots to practice your 90°/180° turns in the 2 sides, dealing with/without your overcharge but it is some muscle trainings. Honestly I think it is the most difficult to do & requires a lot…
I didn't watch something special around the Shack, except you bump against this dumb hook ('best placement for break the loop around, sirs Map Designers'). -
The only reason of the 99% gate was the Blood Warden.
If you perfectly know the 4 perks of the killer you can open the gate. But the countdown will urge you to do a late save if someone is still hooked or slugged after that… -
Since we know how it really works, how to counter it, I think it is fine ?
-
Isn't the same trouble as previously with Ghostie and the way to reveal him from some weird locations & distance ?
