they need to changed or reworked, they're like keys, they swing and switch the games way wayyyy too hard.
-
would need a video. it could be that the person had bt/mom and the timer ran out.

I know first hand that its a known app.
-
People use it to ######### with the killer. If you hop in a locker you can force the killer to eat a ds stun instead of having the killer leave you on the ground. there for artificially forcing the killer to chase you longer than they need to. This is why you see ds becoming more and more of a perk to aggro the killer than it is as a means to stop them from tunneling you.
-
I thought they already fixed this on the last mid chapter, they fixed it by making the killers lean in farther inside the locker to grab the survivor so that they can't get blinded anymore?
ds locker tech is more annoying tbh
-
Not all of them are 100% bad and cheese to play against, but the 9/10 meta perks are the way they are and considered good is mainly because of how stupid easy they are to use and how you don't need to earn them when you have to consider just how hard these perks can change the out come of a game. I like to call them "swing perks" rather than 2nd chance perks because it doesn't get survivor mains panties in too much of a bunch. Normally if only one or two survivors have them its not too dramatic of a change, but when 4 people can bring 12 different ways of getting a chance to swing the match in their favor it gets pretty garbage.
Things like ds are pretty bullshit to play against because of how long it lasts and how survivors can deny a slug by hopping inside a locker. By then it doesn't become just a second chance perk, it becomes a tool to exploit and force the matches to be played in ways where it was not intended to or not very fun at all.
Killers have swing perks too like noed, the hex perks, and pop among other things. But the way that killer perks are balanced, killers have to go out of their way to meet requirements to be able to use these perks or have really long cooldowns for these perks to be able to use it again like trail of torment or thrill of the hunt for example.
Judging from the recent chapter I think they've realized that survivors have to work more for some things, this is why perks from Cheryl, Yui and Zarina have cooldowns or interactions from them. Because they don't want to immediately give people all sorts of way to ######### with the match.
I think as a community its important for us to be vocal and ask ourselves if the older meta perks are still fair or fun to use and if its healthy for the game for the perks to swing matches as hard as they do when they take zero skill to use or effort. Essentially a middle finger uno reverse card.
So stacking needs to be looked into and they should get requirements to use or have cooldowns so people can't just get unearned chances.
-
Its mainly because unlike strong killer perks 'strong' survivor perks have no proper counter or little to no skill to use and swing the matches in ways its not meant to and that frustrates a lot of people.
Popular killer perks usually has a "catch" to them.
- noed can get denied all together by cleansing plus the killer has to play with only 3 perks.
- like pop requires the killer to actually be good and manage to down people to get use.
- sloppy requires the killer to spread damage around and not tunnel, you tunnel you don't get any value.
- most killer perks have stupid requirements to even activate them
- stbfl you have to not hit your obsession to not lose stacks
- trail of torment has a long cooldown and gives survivors a headsup that you're going into undetectable. smh.
- hex perks can get cleansed 15 seconds into a match before they get any use
- swf and ghosting also makes a lot of killer perks weak or useless because people can communicate with each other.
Of course some killers just like a lot of survivors are just too lazy and entitled, they think everything should be handed to them on a silver platter. For me personally I believe that the majority of the strong or meta survivor perks got to be what they are is because of how hard they can "swing matches" in their favor with little to no effort on the survivors part. Hopefully the trend of giving survivors perks like that are changing, because the last few survivors have alright perks but they have some requirements to use them now or have a cooldown to them. This follows closer to the trend of killer perks where you're going to have to work for the dramatic effects. But I think we can all honestly agree that bhvr would be too scared to touch any of the old 'meta' survivor perks in the game.
-
Its fair unlike the meta survivor perks. You should be doing bones anyways when you go from generator to generator, cleansing only takes 15 seconds. Hell even when you're getting chased, you should be aware of your surroundings so that you can find them later. same way you'd look at gens when you're running around.
-
Because it allowed bad killers to be carried by a perk that takes 0 skills to use. Changing that naturally wouldn't be a bad thing, but God forbid if survivors had to put in any work or skill for their perks that can swing the game just as hard if not more because all four of them can run it, without people threatning the devs with pitchforks and torches.
I personally don't mind the change too much as I didn't like running it anyway due to how stupidly random the perks can get broken barely 15 seconds into a match. So I stopped running it on most of my killers evenÂ
But it was honestly annoying the way they changed it that ticked me off. It made the perk more problematic against killers like Nurse, Billy, Freddy and Spirit who can pressure the survivors. While making it complete garbage for any of the set up killers or killers who can't snowball or pressure as well.
-
i would try it out, but when i opted back to live game, steam had me redownload the whole game. 🤣🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃

its the PTB bud. like with every other big update, we'll have it running for a week then another week of them going through it, release is usually two weeks after ptb

ah found it on my config files thanks

Went fairly well I'd say. Got close to the amount of BP the killer got, and all the perks (except deliiverance) helped out.
to make deiverence work, i find that its best that you lay low doing hexes and searching for chests for the early game until someone is chased, don't repair with them because working together increases the chance of the killer downing you first. if you play swf its more effective if you're on coms.

My friends recently suggested playing with WGLF, BT, Deliverance and DS/Plunderer. He told me to start using it if I didn't care too much about winning but wanted to get a lot of bloodpoints. DS is such a dumb and overkill perk to use =-= but its easy Survival category points.
-
A game balanced by clowns.
For example, killer perks have all sorts of stupid things attached to them (even the ######### perks) to 'trade off' or balance them out, on top of having them sometimes having cooldowns or being able to get taken away by the survivors or swf.
A great recent example is how the Trail of Torment perk works. 1 it gives away information to the survivors that the killer has used the perk, for a perk that's supposed to be make the survivors oblivious to the killers heartbeat. while also 2 having a long cooldown. in other cases A perk like ruin can get taken away immediately before it even has any uses.
meanwhile a fair and balance example is pop, its a perk that rewards killers for playing well and doing their objectives. sloppy and nurses, you have to be very generous with your this and spread pressure on multiple survivors to get any use out of it, you want them you have to work for it. and i think those are the best and healthiest kinds of perks. yet you stil have people trying to get perks that are good and require work like this nerfed even more.
Meanwhile survivors get broken ######### like exhaustion perks, there's ######### like ooo that can ghost the killer to the rest of the team. ds and being able to force it on the killer by hopping in a lockers, its a guaranteed escaped pretty much if you have it on you after the gates are powered, bt among other things that greatly swing the matches harder than any killer perk than say noed (even then it means a killer has to play the match with only 3 perks and they have already lost by the time it activates) like unbreakble. all without requiring any skill, without any risk at all. Having no proper trade off how swingy these perks are for them.
Not only that but every survivor can bring these no skill swing perks into the match, so that's like 16 different swing perks that can be used up in an 6-12 minute match. even for a long match that's an average of the second chance perks potentially ######### up the killer once every minute.
When the obsession mechanic first came into play, it was much more clear that using certain perks were very powerful but there was a risk to them and if you weren't the obsession it would work a bit differently for you and it might not be as strong.
I tend to play solo and I almost never bring these perks with me because they are so broken and survivors are powerful enough without them, the only exception would be running ds occasionally when i get days where i'm getting matched with lower skill killers who would tunnel because they don't know any better. but I won't be doing that bs locker trick if i don't have to.
Don't get me wrong I think the game is much healthier now then it was for the first two years where things just stagnated, we've slowly been chipping away at some of the bullshit that some players are able to get away with and some killers have been shifted around a lot, and we get a decent map update. But we've still got a long way to go when it comes swing perks on the survivor side.
-
if you don't go around zipping with your chainsaw downing 3 survivors in minute then you probably will barely notice the change, the change was obviously made to keep insta billy from just snowballing by chainsaw humping and slugging every survivor in quick succession,. we'll have to wait and see jus how hard this will affect him. but the changes should mainly just touch the stronger of the billy players.
-
The trick is not to play in red ranks where everyone and their mums play sweaty af using the most broken perks they can use to boost themselves and occasionally ghost the killer on coms, and have the mentality where if they make mistakes ITS YOUR FAULT and if you don't' let them win then you're being toxic or entitled.
I enjoy killer because I find it challenging and a real test of mind to mind game and play around the survivors. If only they didn't have so many "######### you mechanics" that take no skill and are all reward no risk lol.
-
ah i haven't been playing much during the event, i got what i needed and just stopped playing. i really want the bonus bp. but the amount of tomfoolery i see in my matches on a regular basis is just too ######### much.
-
camping isn't that big of a deal.
no because sometimes there is literally nothing else to do, like the gates are powered or there are multiple survivors around the hook. or the best course of action to pressure the survivors is to camp.
-
Nein schwein! i kid,i kid.
I think its in everyone's best interest to use the best and most proper grammar that they can, if people grammar's aren't perfect then obviously we shouldn't crucify them over it. But I've been here since the day the forum was launched and I have to say that most people's responses to bad grammar has been pretty civil, I honestly don't believe you should be on the internet if you can get so easily offended like that. Even speakers, writers and authors makes grammar mistakes from time to time, you wouldn't see them calling people nazi's when people correct them over grammar mistakes.
Not everyone's first language is English and I believe that writing proper grammar is important for people who might not be as well verse or familiar with language helps them out especially if they are still learning the language and want to interact with people using it. In the long run this helps us get more community data and feedback, because there can be more people contributing to the conversations because they understand what people are saying.
But honestly that's just me.
-
That's how headon works kek.
As for the other killers, they already have their weapons. I'll just assuming spinning an axe takes a decent amount of practice and experience to use let alone to hit any moving targets.
-
Not too different from how I would compile mine, but I would definitely put Demo above Plague. If played at the same level and experience, demo can ######### survivors up real good on a lot of tiles, and they also have the ability to teleport around the map thanks to the portals. This gives them a good bit of map pressure. Meanwhile Plague only has corrupt going for her, and the survivors have GIVE IT to her. Broken is nice but you still move at normal speed and have a big ass terror radius to warn the survivors, and in a chase you're just an m1 killer with no power.
I don't believe Michael's addons are as bad as you say they are, but I do agree that he's power is really showing its age with how many things the other killers have gotten over the years and how the meta has changed. Back when downing as quickly as possible was the meta, he was very strong in that state of the game, now the game has shifted more so to how well a killer can keep survivors from doing their objectives. This is bad news for Michael who has a slow start and mid game utility. But he's definitely still usable. As annoying and as inconsistent the reveal mechanic on Ghost face is, his got a quite flexible kit that can synergize with perks and make up for his short comings.
-
I think I've encountered less than 10 Caleb's since his launch, encountered only 1 in the last two months. I think I've seen more clowns. |
I play him and I think I do well enough of him because I'm used to playing FPS games using projectile weapons. So I know that he's not as trashy as people say he is. He's very middle of the ground. I do well with him but he has too many caveats that makes or break him every match. I think the biggest issue with him is consistency.
The Redeemer is pretty powerful when it works, He's decent in most situation but there are so many things that are out of your control that makes him just a weaker version of another killer. Its a very jack of all traits master of none kind of situation.
Because Demogorgon and Huntress are basically stronger versions of him. The way that you can fake ads and shred, the way that you both can hit at a range,.
His biggest reason that no one wants to play him is hit detection inconsistency. If you thought huntress and nurses have weird detection, wait till you see the harpoon clip through a survivor who's just standing still or hit them when they're 2 meters away from the harpoon head. Survivor animations are also inconsistent from one another, some survivors strafe faster or more jittery than others afaik Jake, Steve, Feng, Laurie have the jankiest ones while Jeff, Jane and Meg are the least janky ones.
This can often leave people frustrated and feel like they can't get better at him because of things that players have no control over.
The chain breaking values very inconsistent and feels random at times. Follow up on some int3act videos.
He's power is more like a hybrid of Huntress, Demo and Legion to a lesser degree, but he's considerably weaker than those three who have focus on their kits.
- Huntress is a monster at downing multiple people and can easily snowball and wipe out a whole team if they play too agressively. The hitboxes hit like a semitruck, AND SHE HAS UNLIMITED RANGE.
- Demo is a beast at forcing survivors into impossible situation, has a slightly shorter range than the redeemer, hitbox is very forgiving. with virtually no penalty or cooldown. Moves at 115%. Has great perk synergy this makes them extremely deadly. On top of that THEY HAVE A FREAKING TELEPORT for map pressure.
- Legion's also have a slow down mechanic for some map pressure, but Caleb who moves at 110% has little to no use out of the deep wound mechanic. Assuming that he runs into multiple people, he is still too slow to move around to get multiple people injured, not only that but if another healthy survivor takes the hit from the chain it doesn't activate deep wound on them.
All of those all do something that Caleb can do BUT BETTER and for less of the risk and randomness attached to their ablities. Its apart of why people do not like playing him.
One sure positive thing I can say about him is that he's not easy to bully and survivors are scared of him once they open the gates. Lul. He's definitely not a weak killer, he's definitely one of the more playable killers but there are far better killers that can do what he does but better and with half the risk.
I don't understand why killers like demo, plague and phead can get 115% movement when they effectively all have the same engagement range. While Caleb has to limp around. This makes it pretty common to see matches with him where the far off gens get completed before you even reach the survivors because of how slow it takes for you to get to them.

They are about equal though id say new DS has more of an impact because of the fact its affect occurs later in the match. While old DS could hurt killers who had trouble getting started, New DS can stop momentum in the mid to end game which is FAR more influential than having to slap someone again in the early game.
I would rather get booped early on and then have a better stun timer so i can go to them, hit them and get my hook. Rather than it getting close to gates open, one gen left, i slug 2 people and both of them ds me for 5 seconds while they both sprint for the door
^ basically this,
DS is an anti momentum perk rather than any real anti tunnelling. survivors can wrecklessly get themselves caught or bum rush hooks to get ez stuns. if the killer won't slug you to buy time or get you to use your unbreakable, then you can simply hop in a locker and force the killer to leave you alone for a minute while you heal in that time or they can eat the stun while your team do the objective for free because they don't have to come over to pick you up.
I'd say its still as annoying and as powerful as old ds, but in a different way just because of how the meta for killers are shifted now. It gets more powerful as the match progresses and because of how stupid long the timer and interactions with it are there's a lot of way to use it.
I personally don't run the perk unless I'm playing with yellow/brown ranks where killers in that rank don't know any better and the survivors there are too unreliable, because I think as is the perk disgusting and totally overkill with how easy the game already is and there are way more fun perks to play with not just for me but for other people too.
I've heard things like people suggesting nerfs for it like having only ONE ds active at a time, meaning if the killer hooks someone else then the perk moves on the last person hooked if they run the perk.
I personally would just like to see it not work with lockers so the survivors can still get slugged. maybe shorten the time to 55 seconds idk. that's just my two cents.

Mount Ormon Resort as a map. 🤮
-
if a swf does this then the whole group should be put on the penalty queue.
-
she's very inconsistent with how random the servers are still at the moment. that visually shouldn't land are hitting and hits that visually should connect aren't connecting. its super frustrating especially after the recent map changes that added new deadzones.

I don't care for exactness on the 20/80 split. But for characters like Huntress, Hillbilly, Clown, & Ace, they deserve more shard-purchaseable outfits. Potentially, they could open up some older cosmetics to become shard-purchaseable. They should also stop focusing so hard on outfits for the same few characters. Like Yui is relatively new & already has more cosmetics than Adam. They should give underplayed characters a bit of love to entice people to start playing them more, though from a business standpoint I guess you would want to give love to the most popular characters.
^ THIS
I only bought ghostface simply because I liked one of his skins. his perks are bad his power is meh, but he had a skin that i liked so i bought him lmao.

Playing killer is annoying more often than not. But playing killer in the game's current state is probably the healthiest its been ever. Especially with the recent map changes to a lot of maps. Still the game has a lots more ways to go before its ideal, luckily killers will be getting something that can help them out in the "early game changer" in the next several patches like they announced in the anniversary stream.
Ideally, I'd just love to see second chance perks get the proper "nerf" they deserve. Especially the problematic older ones, right now there are a ton of mediocre perks that don't warrant having a such a hefty cooldown or for survivors to jump through multiple hoops to activate them. What I would like to see is perks like ds, bt and similar perks in its category have much more reasonable activation requirements and remove the stupid requirements from weaker perks that don't need having to jump through such ridiculous hoops to activate.

David because he's
jkjkjk
No, from his character description he sounds like a great guy and his personality type sounds like some people I know irl, he'd be the cool and open minded person who'd interactact with me and not judge me for being weird or different.
I'd probably get to know Feng too. Maybe we'd play games together or do game tournaments. Would probably chat and hangout in her discord chat. Talk about how much we're loving Chromaitca and telling all friends and fans to go stream Sour Candy and the rest of the album.
Frank and Julie sound exactly like the type of people who'd exploit my personality and insecurities into their little cult. lol.

Stream Chromatica out now!
I actually have a playlist of Lady Gaga songs that fit into every killer.

Not going to lie, been watching Michi and he plays exactly as I used to as Hag (back when I used to play her exclusively). It's insane because I thought I was the only one who trapped in that style and in those spots. Been really enjoying the content recently. (Although I gotta admit, Michi might be a bit better than I was since I'm learning some tricks off of Michi)
i trapped like that a lot and people always said to do it the old way. but i discovered playing like that instead and actually found it way more effective to play traps off like that and using the camera pull to your advantage. watching mitchi's great for learning new stuff toolike how to force survivors to make an impossible decision and how not to get too aggro when you don't need to.

Ormond is actually one of the smallest maps in the game.
But I agree, this map- along with Mother's Dwelling and both Yamaoka maps- are my least favourite ones on both sides.
Wow really I wonder what could make it feel like its so huge? first thing that comes into my in the main buiding's second story.
Yeah mother's dwelling and yamaoka are probably the true big maps left in the game, but i like the visual design of mother's dwelling and performance on that map is pretty good so I don't mind it, i enjoy it more on the survivor side than on the killer side though. similar case with yamaoka, but yamaoka can be annoying sometimes too with those weird tiles that look like they have vaults in them. i've mentioned it to a dev a few times and they've acknowledge it but its been over two years so idk if they even care anymore.
-
no why would i?
-
none.Â
DS - Just remember to always repair with someone else, chances are another person is getting chased and hooked so another person has to rescue them. i did this with the last Rift too did it on my third try.
SFU - I had hag and with stbfl. its pretty easy to snowball when survivors get too cocky and think borrowed time doesn't actually benefit me. trapper is also great for this when you get the loveshack basement, bring one survivor down trap all but one entrance, one goes in no one comes out.
FB - you get this from normal gameplay, but you'll probably need to do it on multiple games as there are only so many pallets you cabn use and time perfectly. but iron will will help you.Â

What sort of Sure Karen ######### did I just walked into? lol 🤣
I don't think you grasp the concept of taking the game hostage but luckily the other's here have managed to clarify what hostaging actually is. The only real way the killer can hostage the game anyone is by body blocking you in a corner. But... and its a big but. Even then the other survivors are still free to leave you behind and you'll die eventually from the end game timer, if they don't trigger the endgame to leave and let you die than that's on them and not the killer, because bhvr actually does give us tools or ways to work around potential hostaging. Its honestly no different than when survivors body block the killer from downing their teammates.
- The stairs have been widen up so survivors can wiggle through the killer, it used to be that survivors can't leave the basement if they get body blocked.
- End game collapse was put in so neither sides can hold the other side with no way of ending the match.
i could list more but im sure people have done so already
