Ive tracked survivor ranks over about 50 games. The higher your rank the more likely you are to be at the top of the leaderboard at the dnd of tge game, which means your also more likely to escape and pip. So as far as tge 3 points that actually matter (bps, pips, surviving) yes, rank matters. Stastically speaking that is, any singular game could have vastly different results.
Time to start my own study using printscreen and google spreadsheets

the only problem is you don’t have a gen stall perk. If you’re losing games too fast I’d probably consider keeping ruin over brutal. It’s not really the best on doc but you don’t have any of the meta gen stall perks.
Im getting mostly/all 4ks so idk, maybe the survivors Im playing against dont do gens.

@blasto said:
I’d swap nurses for STBFL. Brutal is better than you’re giving it credit since dropping pallets early is a doc counter.
also I think the electrode and discipline addons are his best
good point, I'll do brutal instead of nurses (Im already using stbfl)

My 3 go to Doc builds:
a) Distressing, Huntress Lullaby, Overcharge, Unnerving Presence.
b) Distressing, Coulrophobia, Sloppy Butcher, Unnerving Presence (make sure to slug often. This is an anti heal build that also makes assisting slugged team mates difficult)
c) M&A, Dark Devotion, any other 2 perks (Pop + Overcharge are good) plus 2x Calm Add ons (ultra confusing TR, super sneaky Doc)
thank you you absolute deity for these suggestions
also I really wanted to be a sneaky (and/or spooky) doc using calm addons but I felt they would be too situational (but Im probably just bad)
also do you know if calm addons work with unnerving?

Oh Nurse's is still a great choice. My Wraith and Myers have gotten insane use out of it. I just think Stbfl will give you faster downs.
Yeah stbfl was pretty useful, mightve just been lucky the obsession was an immersed claudette

Try ArchdruidDrey's build. He's a doc main and it seems to work really well. BBQ&Chili, Iron Maiden, STBFL, and Surge.
I dont have any dlc besides doctor so I dont have bbq, iron maiden, or surge

I would swap either Nurse's or Brutal for STBFL.
You would be suprised how many times Ive been able to use nurses, even against red ranks. I'll try brutal>stbfl

From looking at your perks, the build you have on is probably the best.

So you want me to believe that it`s survivors playing lvl 1-5 rank killers with all purple perks? Yeah right
Stereotypes get you nowhere. You could try playing killer instead if getting ######### by TOXIC killers is so damaging to your mental state.

It's like when a survivor is finishing a gen and then go straight to the next one. Unfair? Not really but adds to stress and frustration many feels. Me I don't care whatever because winning or losing I just want to have fun. If I get tunneld in this way I smile at it and go to the next game.

What if that Nea had that annoying bug where you can't see skill checks? I'd rather have a player gen tap than do nothing. That's what I do when that bug happens to me.
@ohheyitsbobcat said:
As Stardust said she could have been and probably was bugged. The only thing you can really do when it happens is tap the gen or take a chance on invisible skillchecks and no thank you on that last one.
They were doing the gens normally later in the game. I dont remember if they were rank 20 or smth I completely forgot the ranks from that game.

@burntFuse said:
He has to be right in the center of the screen, which is awkward to do because it puts your character model between him and the camera. It's especially bad at long distances. Oh, and he can also stalk from a longer range than survivors can break his stealth.
yeah I tried having him at the center but it didnt work then either, maybe I should have camera'd more skillfully
-
@BigBrainMegMain said:
You have to like....station your camera linear to him. Survivors like myself have a bird's eye view while I'm playing. But when you're wanting to Reveal him, you have to lower it and line it up to eye level with him.
Works 100% of the time when I do it.
I thank you brother, next time I run into one I will make a valiant effort.

If you're running this perk at high ranks, you've learned nothing about how to play the game efficiently and effectively. You probably shouldn't even be at high ranks. You're healing at half speed. Why? Just find a teammate to heal you! I know teammates can be a little inconsistent with how good they are, but most people know to heal an injured teammate. Or you could use Inner Strength. It's better than Self-care at least. With the MMR system in place, we'll truly see who deserves to be at high ranks, because it definitely isn't clueless Self-care users. If I see you running it, I'll have half a mind to blame you for our loss because of the amount of time you wasted. What's next? "You're telling me Open Handed isn't meta? Not even Sole Survivor?" Nope, but at least they aren't a direct detriment to the team.
Yeah ok but the other person could be doing a gen. Calling another person "stupid" because they dont wanna run the same perks as you is pretty wacky.

While it's a little finiky I can't properly answer your question with just that information.
I will say tho that so long as you are within 32 meters of him, distance is a non-factor.
I completely forgot to take a screenie but Im sitting behind the metal fragments on Campbell's and I can see his entire body. It happened at least thrice so idfk what Im doing wrong.

Do you think before you talk.

@sulaiman said:
Yes, it is that bad because the killer tilts the game into his favour early by turning it into a 3v1. It actually all depends on how much the team got done in the meantime.
On the other hand, i kept stats for 222 games i played as solo survivor, and there were very few 3 and 4k that didnt involve camping, tunneling and/or a mori. Its hard for killers to keep up.
thats precisely why Im asking, it seems almost impossible for me to play well (Im pretty bad which is part of it) when I avoid tunneling. I get 4ks against brown/yellow rank 4heads but against red/purples I get 2ks or worse

@Mister_xD said:
its extremely unfun for the one previously on the hook.
its not "unfair" though, but it is very annoying and makes you seem like you A: take the game very seriously (sweaty / tryhard) or B: you only want to ruin the other players fun (toxic).
i can understand why one does it, but i can also understand why many hate it and get upset about it.
The thing is that I wanna take the game seriously and try to get good at it, but I also wanna not have an annoyingly unfair advantage. I realize the whole "its unfun because youre gonna just get hooked again" philosophy because I play a lot more survivor. I just wanted other people's opinions on the matter so I could decide on whether or not its #########-ish

There's a chain restaurant - Texas Roadhouse - that serves cinnamon butter with their rolls. It's half the reason I ever go there (the rest of the food is good too, but that cinnamon butter is irreplaceable)
I would go there if there was one nearby but Im 200% sure there isnt
on a side note -- are you going to start streaming again this august or what?

Honestly I didn't even find gen tapping to significantly slow down gen progression. Could just be me though
it takes way way longer, 120 seconds was someones estimate I heard before (80 seconds default)
@PureHostility said:
Gen tapping is viable if killer is nearby and you want to remain silent.
they were letting off of m1 after every generator repair noise, and we couldnt even hear the heartbeat (twas bubba)

Because you either :
Spend 50+ seconds doing bones before the gens are done, someone gets downed and you spend the next 5 minutes crouching everywhere trying to find the haunted bones, or randomly happen upon it.
Its partially because it forces you to waste a bunch of extra time on something that may not even be a problem, and that its a killer crutch for when they cant actually get a kill.
However I do agree that ds is bullshit and if you use it youre a meghead

Well, it depends. I reported a killer because the survivor he gave the hatch to had during the game
a)pointed the killer to hidden survivors
b)bodyblocked chased survivors so killer could get an easy hit
c) unhooked in front of the killer.
If that survivor is given the hatch, i report for them both working together. Up to that point, it could just be an antimate-survivor, but if the killer rewards him with the hatch, i say its working together.
If you play a normal game and the killer gives the hatch to the last survivor, or the survivor he thinks deserve it the most, thats ok.
yeah the dweet wasnt helping me or anything, I just wanted to give him hatch because why the hell not. The steve was mad because I "wasted everyone's time" for not "ending it right there"

thats the most wacky ass bloodweb Ive ever seen, but all the perks follow the 3 away rule so idfk man

Doctor lacks mobility and there's a tell when he shocks. The only busted thing about doctor are discipline addons which should be nerfed to the ground like toolboxes were. With that said, he is a solid B+ tier killer though.
No instadowns, ranged attacks, map mobility, mapwide pressure, and negligible slowdown puts him in line with a killer like deathslinger who also has strong chase potential. There are some maps where I'd rather play Legion than doctor.
I was having some serious trouble on lerys thanks to all of the vaults. I had no charge time addons so I couldnt shock before they vaulted, and on top of that Ive played like 4 doc games so far so I barely have the radius down. You would think that lerys would be his best map but either Im bad or windows are kinda good.

Least enjoyable : Legion (obviously)
Second least enjoyable : Clown
Most enjoyable : Huntress (Without iri of course)

I could understand a temporary debuff, maybe 30-60 seconds or so, but permanently is a bit much seeing as it's completely RNG.30 seconds sounds reasonable, a lot more than 180 now that I think about it. Maybe the razor addons could extend it to 40?
-
Paying money for BP just sounds like a waste of money since you can just earn it through grinding. If you have 3000 hours you should have all P3 with level 50 and all perks, meaning buying BP is a total waste. Also, perks DO affect the game. They're called "perks" for a reason. They unlock stuff you couldn't do before.
-
Well tombstone is cancer so if you miss then too bad, hook them and move on.
-
I've not encountered this myself, so it's more than likely a ping issue. (Unless you are on PTB, because I haven't gotten to play it yet.)
-
I could understand a temporary debuff, maybe 30-60 seconds or so, but permanently is a bit much seeing as it's completely RNG.
-
Fire up just needs a percentage buff, nothing else. It's not meta for the same reason brutal is, it just doesn't have enough of an effect to be viable.
(also freddy 2 op what you mean I 4k at rank 21 constantly) -
The basement is supposed to be almost 100% death. Allowing them to break is just stupid because it's supposed to be an area in the killer's favor. You wanna deal with basement camping? Start using the signaling using m1 while on a hook.
(Also slugging was nerfed; you used to be able to recover to 85% heal and now it's 95%.) -
So basically what you're suggesting :
A doctor but a power that may or may not be more powerful because your description is too vague
A perk that I can't understand at all
A perk that's basically just unnerving presence but without the need for them to be in your TR
And a perk that's way too powerful, and would probably encourage tunneling.
