Even if it's not being released, it's a huge change that may need several cycles of testing. Better to announce up front that it won't be ready right away than go back on your word.

I think we don't talk enough about how much the Archives hurt solo queue. People who bring Streetwise + Built to Last with a toolbox and spend the entire match breaking hooks, people who bring Urban Evasion and spend the entire match stalking the killer to complete the "hide for x seconds near the killer" challenge and, of course, the warriors who only bring Self Care and spend the entire match hiding in a corner playing air guitar with it.
It's just so frustating when you have 2 other teammates who are actually taking the match seriously and then there's always that one teammate who wants to complete the entire page of challenges in one night.
For BHVR, please on the next tome rework how these challenges work on the survivor side. 90% of killer challenges are stuff like "hit survivors 20 times" or "hook 6 different survivors", you know, things you already do on normal matches and you don't need specific builds or playstyles to complete. This should also be the standard for survivor challenges.
Yeah. I tried the self care challenge twice, and both times died after gates were powered for being too altruistic. Seems like the only way to get it is to get hit, run away, and spend the rest of the game hoping your team carries. I think challenges should encourage playing well, and this one doesn't.

Is it still possible to bleed out with this new mechanic if you get slugged often enough?
-
I'm pretty excited about some of these changes.
-
This is the most wholesome thing I've seen on the forums for a while. Thanks so much for sharing ❤️

That challenge simply does not work for me at all. Just got out of a match with Scratched MIrror myers, way more than six hits, still not done.
It didn't work for me either. I eventually got it on Pig with Tinkerer.

Run Agitation, STBFL, Starstruck, and Mad Grit for fun times.

Any remotely competent survivor will simply run as soon as they hear the heartbeat approaching and easily outrun the frenzy. Legion's power is probably the only power in the game that doesn't help down a survivor.
So slap on Ruin and chase them off gens. Free slowdown.

The easiest way would be to hit people with ghostface. I didn’t have the perk on him so I farmed as a tier one mikey to get it.
Thanks for the suggestion! I don't have ghostface unfortunately, and I tried to get it with scratched mirror myers but it didn't count for some reason. Perhaps I will try again.

Did you see freddys IRI add on pass ? What makes you think they'll make her IRIS good ? 🤣
Her iris are already bad enough that nobody uses them, if they make them worse nothing will really change so 🤷♂️
-
Pig's addons are super inconsistent, her best addons are either purple or brown. Ideally they'll make combat straps basekit and do tweak her iridescents to be more impactful.

Obligatory "the people that are making new killers aren't the same people killing bugs, get this through your thick fkn skulls"
Concept artists, writers, sound designers, music people, animators, voice actors / actresses, the artists that make 3D models for characters / assets / maps, etc. These guys don't have a SINGLE THING to do with the the balance / maintenance of the game.
These guys aren't the ones fixing the bugs you encounter in-game, so please tell me how you expect to give more time to the programmers / maintenance people to fix bugs by cutting down on the work artists have to do on the dev team.
I've been waiting for 5 years for a real answer to this question because people continue to insist on repeating this same tired poll.
It's quite simple really. Each new killer, survivor, map, cosmetic, that comes out has its own set of bugs and exploits that need to be patched. Fewer new things = fewer bugs that need to be fixed. Yes, it's a different team doing the fixes, but it still happens within the same 3-month timeframe.
Pushing the Cenobite out so fast means the programmers are split between fixing the bugs with the RE chapter and fixing the bugs with the Hellraiser chapter. I get the impression that there wasn't time to do enough internal testing on the Cenobite before he hit the PTB, which led to the infinite chain bug that made playtesting against him pretty much impossible, which meant there were things that didn't get tested thoroughly enough before being pushed to live servers. Not to mention each new patch causes weird unrelated problems (like Executioner's M2 animation bug) that need to be fixed.
In addition, it's harder to balance gameplay when new perks/addons/powers are being added so quickly.
tl;dr give the fix team more time to fix things and the playtesters more time to playtest things, even if that means the design team has to chill for a bit

Her camera swing allows the hag to place traps in locations that will force survivors to take one path over another. They can slow vaults, also. This swing does not occur when you look at a trap before it goes off.
I'm a little confused about how this works. Do you happen to have a link to a video of what you mean for us visual learners?

I wake up this morning and instead of more threads about Stranger Things there are a bunch of threads about NOED. What happened last night guys? 😂

According to this post:
@Mandy said:
As we said in the FAQ, no the map will not remain in any form. It will be removed from rotation.
The answer is no.
-
I don't particularly care for Hawkins, but I don't like what this means for the future of other licensed maps. We could lose Midwich, RPD (lol), Springwood, Haddonfield, The Game, and whatever maps come with future licensed content.
-
For anyone wondering what will happen to the perks, here's what they did for the RE chapter on mobile, where they presumably didn't have the license:
-
I would love to know more about what's going on, or at least a reassurance that we're not going to lose all the licensed characters in the future.
-
This sure is some weird viral marketing for Stranger Things season 4....
-
I've had this happen as both killer and survivor (PC).
-
Did any of your teammates have a map? If they did, they might have had the addon to share map auras with everyone in the match.
-
I have had this bug on PC as well.
-
Were you blinding while picking up, or blinding while carrying? It's possible for a flashlight to blind too early in the animation, causing a blind but no drop. However if you were already carrying and got blinded, that would definitely be a bug.
-
How would that work? Like if hoarder spawns 2 additional vaccine cases but with lower rarity vaccines 😂
-
I agree about the map being very dark. Had to turn the brightness up just to play it.
-
I would still use BBQ. Would probably only use WGLF to count protection hits/unhooks for challenges though.
-
I remember this happening on the PTB to several people, myself included, whenever someone DC'd at the start of a match.

Except it'll help you know what to do better
Sure, but Boss' original post was about forgetting what to do for Devout, and it seems kind of silly to have to play through a match just to be reminded 😄

Unless you hover over them in the end-game screen and it tells you what you gotta do
True true, but if the match is already over it's not very helpful, especially if you're going for Adept and aiming for 4 iri emblems
-
I thought how emblems worked was a secret 🤔
-
STBFL is a lifesaver against SWFs for situations like these.
-
Have you bought all other perks off the bloodweb to make sure it's not just bad luck?
-

...While their game is totally bugged for 5 years now. Do they actually played it once ?
Do you know how hard it is to make a video game? Like if I ever made a 5-minute RPGmaker game with recycled assets I'd be proud as hell of it. The devs are allowed to tell you how proud they are once a year.
-
I think they need to fix the whole concept of map rotation/offerings somehow. It's ridiculous how much getting a good or bad map affects the game.
-
Anniversary is the best time to prestige, since everyone is using cakes and you rack them up fairly quickly. I P3'd my Nurse last year during the anniversary.
-
Do you have to manually reset the traps or can you use the addon that resets random traps automatically?
-
Damn never noticed that. Love to get a longer clip of it
-
I was actually thinking earlier today about how Dishonored could be a fun DLC. There's plenty of potential for a map, and the killer could be one of the villains like Daud or Delilah, with one or two of their main abilities carrying over into DBD. Lots of potential for legendary skins as well!
-
Autodidact: increases the chances of getting healing skill checks
No Mither: leaves 75% fewer blood orbs when facing Oni
Off the Record: gives a 3 second speed boost after being unhooked (does not stack with sprint burst)
Wake Up: wakes you up if you are asleep, cmon, it's in the name
-
That doesn't sound very fun for either side. 🤔
-
Blight's pretty difficult to master, and the three perks you mentioned are extremely meta right now, so that's probably why. But hey, that just means you know what they're probably running and can counter it.
-
This would be great for sure! I have a lot of trouble leveling up the PTB since i'm never quite sure when the snapshot's going to be taken from the live. Because of that there were some cool perk combinations I wanted to try on Nemesis and never had the chance.
But on the other hand, people wouldn't ever use perks or characters at their lower levels so they might not detect bugs with them. Like if there were a problem with Tier 1 Flashbang it might not be caught until it went to the live server.
-
It would be fun for double bloodpoints, sort of like Overwatch's Arcade mode. Not sure about the two random addons for Killer though, since there are some addons that cancel the effects of other addons or power aspects, you could end up with something unplayable.
-
You'll see that with pretty much all major streamers in a gaming community. Hell, even in DBD it's not just Otz but also Tru3 and Noob3 and others.
-
I agree in the sense that I think they should spend more time fine-tuning killers already in the game instead of pushing to release a new one every three months. Like even two a year would be good, one for anniversary, one for halloween. Then they could take more time to make sure the new killers were on a good power level compared to existing ones, and maybe finally make Trapper Bag base kit.
-
I've had this happen on Trapper as well. Usually it happens at the start of a match right before I get the DC notification, and then the match ends. Sucks that your match wasn't cancelled.
Never seen it before on Doc, though.
-
My Pride's been okay. Found out my city isn't having a parade or anything this month so that's kind of a letdown, but my birthday just passed so at least I had something I could celebrate!
As far as in-game stuff goes, I tried to let a Dwight live who also had a pride charm but he kept pointing to the hook until I killed him....hope he's having a good day.
-
I think this would lead to killers leaving all survivors on the ground instead of going for hooks, so I don't think it's a good idea.
-
It seems like it would be good on Pig, but overall it seems like kind of a beginner perk.
