  • It's not mine but I've seen spots like this as a survivor, on this map in particular. I love totem spots on indoor maps as a killer and absolutely hate them as a survivor πŸ˜…

Because I never looked in the open for totems when I first started playing I never found this bright glowing totem. So many matches with my teams dying from Devour Hope or running around looking for old Ruin when it was right in the open. πŸ˜‚

It is easy to find totems in the open, but sometimes I'm afraid of cleansing it 'cause the killer also can see you in the open, you know πŸ˜…

  • @Khakuate believe it or not, maybe I was sleepy, dunno, but the first time I read the title, I thought it was going to be about some dude who was standing still and he looked funny 🀣Maybe because of the absence of the comma after "dude" πŸ˜…

  • Well, many players are against the farm. They would rather DC or play fair and move to the next game. As for me, I'm not against it, on the contrary, if I need to escape due to the challenge, I'm up for a nice killer lol. If I play killer, I can farm only when there is some stupid challenge needs to be done. Like grab someone when they are on a gen or in a locker with Iron Maiden, or throw hatchets while being 15 meters away. If killer lets us do gens I don't complain afterwards πŸ˜—

  • What are you talking about? These spots are great πŸ˜†

    lol.png

  • Even when I'm angry whether I played survivor or killer, I never write anything bad in chat. This will not change anything, and I also don't want to give others the satisfaction. That's why I turned it off. You will rarely see anything good in there, so why bother? I don't want to waste my time and nerves to talk to strangers who usually are toxic as hell. I'd also like to know what is going on inside their heads πŸ˜…

  • The reason why I'm against SWF because I don't have friends and I'm offended πŸ˜πŸ˜‚

  • For survivor it's Empathy, I don't see it that often, but I like to use it. Not only it helps to see your wounded teammates (and whether they are running from the killer or not), you can also run to them to be healed as well. For me it's better than Bond due to the range.

As for the killer it's Spies form the shadow, especially on small maps and those with a lot of crows in it. Can help you a lot. Overcharge is also comes in handy. Don't know if it's underrated tho.

How to stay calm when playing DBD?

I have a love/hate relationship with this game but i really want to love it fully. Sometimes its just impossible.

Whether you're playing survivor or a killer, how do you guys stay chill?

My last 2 games were a facecamping doc on 4 gens still alive and a tunneling freddy where i didn't have ds to give me at least a little time. I was angry and disappointed and i really don't want to feel that way when im supposed to play the game end enjoy that time.

    Thanks in advance

Well, it is cliched but I tell myself that it's just a game and I don't know these people, there are nobody to me. It's the same with an exam - when you are too concentrated, you can panic and be stressed. That's why I try to relax and don't let myself be provoked. Also, the closed end-game chat helped me a lot πŸ˜„I just go to another game and forget what happened in this one.

  • @Mooks said:

It’s a bug. It occurs when you switch your character in the lobby. You have to reselect your offering in this case (even though it actually looks like it is selected..)

Thank you for the tip, didn't know how to solve this annoying bug πŸ˜‰

  • @RacerDemon said:

    What is 0o0?

    Object of Obsession, Laurie's perk.

I don't have OoO users in my game often, but when I do (depending on their skill) it can become annoying πŸ˜’but usually they are not that good.

Blinking with Nurse and landing a grab off a gen.

I had to do this one when they reworked Nurse with the only add-on that allows you to do three blinks, but I sorta farmed. Survivors just like to let go of gens even when farming, it drives me nuts lol

I did Left Behind when there was no end-game collapse, didn't even notice how I got it πŸ˜„

The secret one, where all 4 survivors have to jump in a hatch was quite difficult 'cause I don't have friends to play with, so it was a game when the killer was AFK, and we repaired all gens. And I had a key. I just gave others the sign to follow me and we all jumped into the hatch.

I agree with above statements. Skilled Huntress is going to be a long ride. I haven't even done that challenge where you have to throw hatchets 15 meters away in one match. I've got only 1 of 20 hatchets for the achievement, I was just lucky that one time throwing a hatchet at the furthest gen when somebody was working on it.

The rest of the killer adepts will be hard too because I'm not a pro when it comes to Nurse, Billy and some others.

I was thinking to finish this achievement I'd just run Deliverance for a while. That way it doesn't detract too much from the match -- survivor's can stay on their gens if I can get it off safely quick enough.

Yeah, I used it too when I managed to bought the perk in the shrine.

  • You really want them dead so much that you are okay with spending so much time on one match? I'd rather just report them afterwards. Why waste time? It's not like your life depends on it 😐️

  • If only Spine Chill could give you more skill checks at all times, not just when the killer is near byπŸ˜•

  • Your title says it all πŸ˜…

  • It's the funniest thing that I read today πŸ˜†

  • Wow, that's commitment πŸ˜…

  • I was doing it waaay back when I was a beginner and only for the achievement. Since I've got it, I don't unhook myself in the survivor's face and give them unhook points. I don't want to be a bastard 'cause I know how it feels and can relate. I try to unhook myself only when nobody runs to save me or everybody is down.

At least dont lump Fun and Toxicity in the same category. Not every does Mori to be Toxic.

Did I say that all who use moris are toxic? On the contrary, I named other reasons for people using mori.

  • Save yourself the trouble and just close the end-game chat for good. I feel relieved since I've done it, I'm not stressed or nervous anymore when I start a match. Because there are only 10% of good stuff in the end-game chat, 25% of just "ggs" and the rest is about toxicity and trash talk. I'm not a pro killer/survivor so I don't expect somebody to praise me anyway, that's why my chat is always closed. I don't even look at ranks or emblems, I just press Continue right away and go to the next game.

I'd say definitely goodπŸ˜‰It's meta build, what can go wrong?

  • It gives me some Deceit vibes πŸ˜‹

  • I bought some killer perks from the shrine when I started playing and needed good perks asap, like BBQ, Ruin (before rework), Discordance. Although, I think that it is easier and more effective to buy the character itself as was said above. I don't have all the perks and all killers/survivors yet but I don't even look at the shrine right now, it's cheaper to just wait and buy someone with shards IMO.

  • Usually there are enough skill checks when you are healing someone, but when you have the autodidact you receive none lol The irony...

  • Ain’t nobody got time for a Mori.

I've read it in Claudette's voice from Samination parody lol Made me laugh.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/173077/mori-in-every-second-match

The fact that the killers began to take mori more often means that there will be more dissatisfied who will write posts about the removal of mori and if there are a lot of posts the developers will see them and perhaps finally delete / balance them, everything turns out right :)

They said on the live stream, if I remember correctly, that they are going to look at moris and change them somehow. I'm looking forward to it. I don't want them to be removed entirely (a green one is alright IMO), but some tweaks would be nice.

  • @Splinterverse said:

Moris are more common after rank reset. Also, if you are really opposed to them, you can DC on load screen without penalty.

I don't like DCing :/ I'm not against them, there are just too many in a row now, that's it. But it is what it is, I guess 🀷

  • We already have M1 for gens and lockers πŸ˜„

  • @Veen said:

I mean if you leveled up your, killers with cakes & stuff you're probably have a bountiful amount of moris since there at least 3 in each 50 bloodweb.

I know but as I said moris are not a priority for me. Maybe it's because most of my killers are not P3 yet, so I get rid of anything useful first and then I level them up. And I find cakes or other BP offerings more useful than moris. I spend those offerings and then I refresh the blood web (don't reaaly care how many moris are left). Besides, I remember the times when people DC before the start of the match when they saw a mori offering.

But when you are P3 killer and your moris are there to stay forever, I understand that you want to use them in order to punish SWF or when you see a key, or just for fun/toxicity or daily.

  • @IIITweedleIII said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1457664#Comment_1457664

Personally I do both. I have for the better part 35+ Cakes to share with the class.

I also have 20+ Ebony Mori

    😈

    I'm here to have fun.

I mean I don't like to kill after the first hook when I have a mori, only if someone is very toxic or one gen left. 'Cause you receive less bloodpoints (and I need them more than I need be toxic). Otherwise I don't really see a point in bringing mori if I only use it on the last hook. I also don't have a lot of cakes because I didn't play that much during the event.

However I wish you to have fun in your own way 😜

  • @IIITweedleIII said:

I really dont see the po7nt for Ranks. A team is either good great or not at all. Killer be damn, for letting things get out of their control.

Mori are fun to me. They're entertaining. I only wish ALL Killers had 3 separate Cinematic Kills. Top 3 Killers can get stagnant seeing the same exact Mori all the time.

As for the frequency, I believe it's individualized not everyone will get the same situation as the next. But commonly, you'll see what's given.

I personally dont care for Ranks, either I'll have a good game, great game or get sweated and swarmed by a team that worked just as hard. (Sure, there are them teams who at the time will treat you like shhhhh, just because you were not having it at THAT moment, act like they're Elite Hardcore E'Gamers on an Esport Tournament). And those who will get Mori'd and call you Tunneling Trash Killer. But all that aside. BHVR created Mori. So either, use them or not. πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

I'm usually fine with moris (although I think an ebony one is a bit broken), but seeing them almost every match when you also try to escape because you have a challenge to do so... meh πŸ˜’At least for now there are some anniversary cakes that give me extra bloodpoints before I die lol

  • @Customapple0 said:

Don’t worry bring a BNP, oh wait that was nerfed.

Could bring a syringe to help out a teammate from being killed or prolong your chase? Nope that was nerfed too

Or just bring a key, but you best be playing immersed all game as if the killer sees your key you’ll pretty much get tunnelled.

I bring keys (as well as moris) only when the game requires me to do it. When I have to escape or escape through the hatch. But yeah, it's difficult to survive long enough to see the hatch lol

  • @28_stabs said:

Only Mories? No Dorrito head? Easy life. :^)

I'm at rank 12-13 now after rank reset (was mostly doing killer challenges back then), and I met one PH yesterday. Well, he was not good at all πŸ˜…But I don't find him a bad killer to go against, maybe I haven't met him often and those who I met didn't tunnel.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

It's just because of bloated BP gains for the event, people stocked on items, add-ons and offering, it'll end up thinning down after a while, I see a lot of Keys as well nowadays, just gotta wait it out.

When I'm the killer, there are keys, but when I'm the survivor, my teamamtes are usually don't have keys, yeah ο»ΏπŸ˜…ο»Ώ

    @ Antares2332 said:

Killers throw a mori at any rank just like survivors with keys, it doesn't matter.

I know that, I just thought that maybe yellow ranks use them more often. At least I heard that yellow ranks love to camp (or they do it form just being inexperienced) and use mori. But I guess it depends. I don't use mori unless the challenge or daily requires me to use it. I'd rather use some BP offering lol

they make it sound that implementing ingame settings is very complex.. I thought its just adding a GUI to the already existing ini settings. Well, I hope its going to happen before 2021.

I'm also waiting for some ingame settings concerning graphics to be implemented 'cause I hate AA in any game. Sharpness is the best 😁I use Nvidia filter as well, helps a bit. I mean it is much better now than it was then they forced AA and Vsync a few month ago. My eyes still hurt.

I agree, It is one of the times when I like an original look more than other cosmetics. She looks cool and kind of disgusting at the same timeπŸ˜ƒ

  • Would be cool. Especially when you try out a new killer, it always a bit unnerving to go into the game full of red rank survivors who will bully you for being a noob.

    Don’t feel bad.

Even the best of the best here suck sometimes.

We just sometimes let ego get in the way and ignore the things we’re average at or stuff up sometimes.

Thank you πŸ˜‰But I'm not that worried. It helps me to improve my skills. At least I'm not bored by being a true pro who achieved everything, so yeah.

My biggest issue is looping. I cannot loop for the life of me and any time a killer senses that I am a weak link, they'll target me a lot. I thought I'd be much better at 300 hours in but I'm not. Damn this game is rough.

I have almost 900 hours and I think that I still suck at this game lol

I'm also bad at mindgames both as killer and survivor. But it doesn't concern me that much. There's definitely a room for improvement ο»ΏπŸ˜‰

ο»ΏWatch some video guides about looping, it might help a bit.

  • To frank with you, I'm always afraid of being bodyblocked by a survivor or killer, that's why when they come from behind my back I usually move right away. Bodyblocking killer is somehow understandable, but when it's your teammate doing it... πŸ˜‘

  • The name of the thread made me laugh a bit πŸ˜„

I have thought that this thread will be about Myers for some reason lol

  • Usually killer but I play both sides almost equally. (I'm solo)

Killer is more interesting IMO 'cause they are different, obviously. I also prefer to watch a streamer who plays killer most of the time, because survivors are boring for me to watch at. Only if you want to learn something as a survivor.

Killer is a more responsible role, sometimes more stressful for me, but also enjoyable in its uniqueness I guess.
