I might give in to the compulsive purchase but I'm pretty disappointed with the Nurse and Ruin nerf so I don't want to reward lackluster decision making. The icing on the cake is when devs explain things in the game and its very clear that if they play at all, they are rank 18s.

Chances are if you have to camp, it's because the game was already lost within the first two minutes of the game when 2-3 gens have popped with no signs of slowdown against decent survivors, and especially against a coordinated team. At that point, it's not always about a non-existent pip so killers default to their primary objective: killing survivors, not being a gen jockey. If the survs are already running the gens before the camp, they're not going to suddenly break strategy. If they do, at least you get points from them you otherwise wouldn't have gotten by playing survivor rules. Best you can hope for is to leave with your self respect by succeeding at the one thing you're supposed to do.
Why do all of your posts make sense? That doesn't fit the vibe around here.

They will give billy a cool down the day before all killers uninstall.

The problem is NOT the cooldown. Im main nurse. The problem is NURSE ON DEDICATED SERVERS . Full of bugs! cant blink sometimes, you get stuck after blink (cant even walk) thats is the REAL problem with her.
Well they are both problems. I’m not sure they are bugs.
Behavior is constantly tweaking things behind the scenes so maybe they are fine tuning her nerf. How many times have you seen something like this: oh yeah, we changed that last patch and now that it’s on YouTube, we’ll put it in the patch notes.
-
being chased is so much better early game. If your working on a gen mid game check the tiles around you and make sure they still have pallets.

Easy on asking for killer nerfs. There has been a rash of them lately.

This is what we’re arguing. Survivors won’t be able to do all gens and totems in that time.
Maybe NOED would be better token based. For each survivor hooked you gain a token. For each token you gain 15-20 seconds of instadowns once the final gen is powered up to a maximum of 60-80 seconds. Max of 4 tokens. NOED wouldn’t have a direct counter then but at least it wouldn’t benefit campers. Also survivors could wait it out if they’re screwed by rng of gates or a hard totem spawn like in the indoor maps.
Or maybe if people want the totems being done it doesn’t give instadowns but just stops the gates from being opened until all totems are cleansed. Gates can’t be opened until all 5 totems are cleansed. Or once the final gen pops an unlit totem on the map lights up and the gates cant be opened until it’s cleansed. Doesn’t activate when hatch is closed.
NOED does not need to be token based. There does not need to be another killer nerf. The last thing we need is survivors whining about not enough time to do totems. Give me a break...
Are you trolling or do you actually believe what you post?

Why would you assume that the poster is a baby killler?

If survivors don't cleanse totems, regardless if I'm doing bad or not, NOED will activate. That's why NOED is perfect for players who want to camp, survivors cannot do generators and totems in a reasonable amount of time.
I feel like the perk should be buffed to give an additional 5% movement speed, but add an additional requirement for the killer to get at least 3/4/5 hooks before it can activate.
Survivors cant do gens and totems in a reasonable amount of time? You realize this forum is for Dead by Daylight. Maybe you wandered in here from another game but in dead by daylight, gens get done very, very fast. Adding 1 minute to the 4 minutes it takes to do the gens is not asking a whole lot.
-
On this note, gens need to be reduced to 20 charges and exit gates need to open in 1 second. Oh yeah, and nerf NOED. NOED should only active after all survivors have escaped. Has anyone else noticed that each map only has 1 infinite. There should be an infinite per generator. And more pallets, but really, really safe pallets.

So, abiding by the rules of the game to complete the objective said game gives you is a "sad attitude" because it doesn't follow the non-existent imaginary book of Killer rules written by survivors? Noted. I'm not even more inclined to slug. I really don't give a crap what survivors find fun or boring, honestly. Survivors like you don't care how long you abuse a god window, or loop a pallet, so I'm not about to start caring about your fun. I play to win.
I'm sad I can only vote up this post one time.

I run Self-Care because nobody will heal me!
When you play solo, it's a nessecary evil.
Half these survivor "second chance perks" also reward survivors for the KILLER being bad. Not the survivor. Yes, they are abusable, but normally that's called "high level gameplay". I'm going to call the double standard here. All the survivor ones have an offset for either side. NoED only has negatives for survivors, especially solo's.
That's one way to look at it. That is a very survivor slanted way to look at it. I don't think its a good idea for this game to take an even greater survivor bias than it has now.

There’s no skill in using it to make up distance and reach a pallet. There’s literally nothing the killer can do.
well when it works. If you have bad ping you can use DH, meaning you get exhausted, and nothing at all happens. Dead Hard is a very broken perk, but why nerf it? Dedicated Servers already did.

I'm not IMMERSED. When I play Claudette, it is STEALTH. Immersed sit in a corner avoiding the killer at all costs. Immersed don't do anything and wait for hatch. Immersed ruin games for others.
I don't.
Every time I talk about my stealth game, I make a point of saying that I'm not an immersive. Why? Because there's a difference.
Even then, lately I have been playing as Yui and as a runner.
NoED is not a direct counter to immersed, it rewards bad play. Whispers, Infectious Fright and BBq & Chilli are all better examples of anti-immersion gameplay. Doc's ENTIRE CHARACTER is anti-immersion. Not one-tapping that runner you couldn't beat in a regular chase.
All second chance perks "reward bad play". Why do you have an issue with NOED. You said yourself that you run self care. It clearly rewards bad play. Other than exhaustion perks, I can't think of a single survivor meta perk that doesn't reward bad play.

because you're argument is that it takes 1 totem to cleanse a hex for every hex perk except NOED. You only have to cleanse 1 totem to get rid of NOED. Its not at all unfair. Its perfectly fair. You're argument doesn't make any sense. NOED is in a good place.

I PLAY YUI LATELY. And I have not called for Billy nerfs lately. The Hillbilly Problem is about a symptomatic problem of the game, that just so happens to be tied to Hillbilly.
Blendettes generally do nothing anyway. I do. I'm that one that does stuff that you don't see as killer. I'M the one who tapped that gen you just kicked, the one who made the unhook about 10 seconds after you hooked them and left, the one who 99'd that game you just went past.
I want NoED to be FAIR for both sides, as it's extremely unfair for survivors. Free exposed because I can't find all the totems myself? Sounds totally fair to me!
You don't deserve anything when you look at the surface level and say stuff like "I deserve death".
NOED is a direct counter to the immerse playing style. You are a self proclaimed immerse player. Your opinion is based on self interest and not game balance. Your dislike of billy is also based on bias. The "you tunneled the injured survivor" comes from players like you that unhook 10 seconds later and crouch in bushes.
Billy is a fun killer. Fun to play as, fun to play against. The immerse player, you, hiding behind rocks and in bushes is not fun to play with or against. There should be more 1 shot abilities for when you get caught out, not less.

If survivors pallet camp they’re wasting the pallet instead of looping it and are likely to get hit if you just hide your stain and swing through it... add a potential enduring + spirit fury and that’s basically a insta down
blinding at pallets is easily countered by ears and listening to them run away, which is even easier if they’re injured and they would have been better off just running straight away....
what is there to complain about?
Pallet camping and then blinding at the pallet is a toxic behavior. I believe this thread is about "camping is a toxic behavior". I'm saying they are the same. Obviously you can run 2 perks to counter this. And its not a direct counter either its only a counter every 3rd pallet. Good players pre-drop pallets after the first spirit fury break so its not as effective as you claim to begin with.
The argument against NOED essentially is "I don't want to run those perks" why should killers be expected to run perks to counter a toxic playstyle?
-
@Mtom912 said:
Their argument is cause when they do that, it normally gives the rest of the survivors the free escapes, which is true
but they ignore the experience of the survivor that is getting face camped
what's the issue here. Nobody cares when survivors pallet camp and blind the killer at every pallet. Does that not ruin the killers in-game experience?
In a competitive multiplayer game, its unrealistic to think that all players will have a good experience in any given match. Getting facecamped and tunneled is just part of the game. I get proxy camped and tunneled pretty often, its just part of the game. I like that alot more than a blendette that hides in a locker for literally my entire 1st hook state. then wants to urban evasion 4 tiles over to my hook. That immerse time-wasting playstyle is the grossest thing in DBD.
And for those of you that say this is a casual game: it is an ONLINE MULTIPLAYER GAME. What part of that made you think this game was casual. A casual game doesn't have objectives, escapes, and kills. That's just behavior's way of saying that they don't need to address balance issues. "well its a casual game so..."

You are a blendette who wants billy nerfed because you are frequently out of position. You want NOED nerfed because you want to stealth around in danger zones.
I deserve a voice just fine. Your voice needs a strong opposition because what you have been asking for is gross.
-
Every multiplayer game is competitive.
People on the internet are dissociated from the fact that you are a real person when they make their comments. There are plenty of stories of people trolling grieving people who recently lost a family member on the internet. For whatever reason people just don’t follow the golden rule.
I was on a Facebook post a few years back where a friend of mine shared a meme that basically said “Don’t worry about gun control worry about hungry 3rd world children.” This friend is in her forties and one of her sons died about a year before that in a car accident. Another poster who didn’t know her cane into the post and said how would she like it if one if her children was killed in a school shooting. She was informed that the mother had lost a teenage son in a car accident. She replied with “You deserved it”. This lady who said this is a realtor so her profile is meant to contact her. So I contacted her. About 2 minutes into our phone call she was crying hysterically and then she deleted her comments and apologized. It’s super easy to get competitive and forget that your playing against actual humans. DBD is not the worst and the toxicity basically just means that match’s can be super intense.
As long as you’ve got a healthy self confidence the internet isn’t gonna hurt you.
-

My best example for NoED being the worst functional killer perk to exist is one particlular Yamaoka Billy match. He only chainsawed, only got me once, closed hatch, I got gate and he had NoED. Never swung his mallet otherwise.
Never had a chance to do bones as he was everywhere and I am the best kind of Blendette. I DESERVED my escape for how well I did, but no. He had to have NoED with Insta-saw. All for his precious 4k.
And people wonder why I hate Billy.
You deserve to die in every match based on your comments.
-
Enduring is free and rewards “bad” play. Why not nerf enduring. Come to think of it, why give killers perks at all? Killer is already the only player that can injure survivors. Killer never helps us with gens. All he does is sandbag us.
-
All of those survivor perks are fine. NOED is bad. Please immediately nerf NOED. A 4 minute match should never be extended by a minute to cleanse totems. We, the survivor team, have already used 8 of the 5,000 pallets on this map. We are running low on resources and this map only has 1 infinite and 8 long wall jungle gyms plus killer shack. Yeah we got screwed on the map.

Make up your mind. It's either camping is a valid strategy or its toxic.
there's nothing wrong with the game's balance. Provided you are a rank 18 survivor.
-
I don’t think emblems are the issue.. I think when the objective portion of the game is 1 minute longer than EGC the survivors feel a bold unhook is somehow gonna pay off. They also feel like a killer should go stand in a corner or something? Not really sure what there thinking honestly. No BT no unhook when the doors are open.
-
I know the forums are full of ideas for implementation so here’s another one: offer a survivor ultra rare offering that negates a mori. You can burn one if you think the killer is bringing a mori?
-

I'm 100% more toxic lately as killer, but not because of a lack of DC penalties, because I'm tired of facing red-rank-swf-squads as a level 12 killer. Its not fun, and playing meme builds (Which people think as toxic) and camping and slugging is fun.
Fix killers, fix match making, and you'll see less bull.
Fix maps, then balance killers, then matchmaking and the game health will improve significantly.

2 days ago I played a match where the doctor held the game hostage, knowing I wouldn't want to DC because of the penalty. After killing 3 of my team mates, he downed me. The end game hadn't been triggered yet, and neither of us knew where the hatch was. Instead of hooking me, he picked me up, dropped me, picked me up, dropped me, picked me up until I would wiggle free. After I would break free he would chase me and down me, then repeat the process all over again. It lasted 8-10 minutes until I stopped trying and he finally got bored and decided to hook me. It was obvious he was trying to troll me, with the intention of me ending up DCing or staying and dealing with the frustration. I don't tea bag, I don't use flashlights, I didn't even juke him properly, yet he still wanted to give me a hard time for nearly 10 minutes.
Yeah, no. There's toxicity on both sides. Implying that only survivors are capable of being toxic is a fallacy and wishful thinking at best. Both sides have bad apples, just like the vast majority of other games. Which side has more is up for debate, but no, it's not just survivors that can be toxic.
i would love that because it’s more chase time.

Did you look at the thread it’s literally all high rank survivors saying it happens once in every twenty games
I would never blame a rank 16 killer for facecamping a rank 2 SWF. That killer is trying to secure a single kill and that match can only be fun if the survivor stop doing gens to bully the ######### out of the killer. It’s really a balance issue.

Might I add to the fact that MORIS HAVE ALREADY BEEN NERFED. Back in Grand ol' 2016-17 you could mori a survivor without hooking them 🙃
You really sound like a whiny survivor (and I'm a survivor main!), survivors are OP as is and keys are the most disgraceful thing in the game. Moris are strategic counterpoint to keys where mori'ing someone can help a killer get some pressure back mid/late game.
The fact that survivors can finish a game in less than 5 minutes, use keys to escape at any time, and you STILL have the NERVE to say killers need to be nerfed is insanely stupid. Smh, these poor killer mains are getting abused with these survivors asking for killer nerfs!
agree with your comments but survivors nerfing killers also hurts survivors in que times and quality of games.

The killer is the player that camps not the red rank survivors and match’s frequently match rank 16 killers with red rank survivors. You know because game health isn’t the best. Or good. Or acceptable.

I’m loving trapper. +1 on making the brown trapper bag add on base kit.
-
@PigMainClaudette I love a coldwind map, provided I am playing survivor. The long wall jungle gyms are like a 2 gen affair to pry a survivor out of them. If played optimally a survivor can run tiles like the meat tree and the long wall jungle gym to the entity blocker over and over. a killer has to get to bloodlust 9000 to get a hit. Which would be a fun challenge if matches lasted 20 minutes. But they last 4-5 minutes if you can keep a survivor constantly in chase if they are decent.
I want to say Behavior stated they had 150 employees working on DBD (remember it from a youtube video and too lazy to look it up). We can name one person who is accepted as an experienced player.

Ok, but if I show ZERO toxicity in all of my games, then why should I get targeted in this manner? Is it toxic if I can blend into a rock, or run you around for 2 generators, because you can't beat me in a chase?
I assume because the killer hooked you first. Because 2 gens got done in the time it takes to get 3 pallets out of you. Which on most maps only uses up a very small amount of the maps pallets.
Because the game balance is meant for rank 18 survivors that crouch behind rocks on the edge of the map. Which I'm convinced is the skill level of a lot of the devs that make balance decisions.
A decent survivor can run a killer on shack for 3 window vaults without being hit and go to a nearby pallet to break bloodlust. NOT A TALENTED SURVIVOR a decent survivor. They can then run you in the closest jungle gym through that window twice before dropping the pallet and go back to shack. thats already 2 gens without a hit. That survivor literally still has the shack pallet, an overpowered main building, and a jungle gym and a safe pallet IN EVERY DIRECTION with 3 gens to go and no hits.
The state of imbalance causes killers to tunnel people out of the game.
Umbra streamed a game the other night to prove a point and her squad of friends had the doors open in 4 minutes flat. Killer got 1 hook. Killer brought a mori. He was rank 2, he was watching the stream. Does he need to git gud?
Can we finally admit that this game was designed for players with less than 20 hours of playing time? That survivor defenses are designed for rank 18s. Which I'm convinced is the average developer rank.
I'm just gonna say it, the devs don't play this game enough to understand the game. Would they have designed Lery's, the game, and Hawkins if they were players. I can't say those maps are universally hated, but they are hated by more of the playerbase than the amount of the player base that used Hex Ruin or self care. They are terrible, terrible maps. They play terrible for killer and survivor. Its like the art director designed the maps and it was 100% about the aesthetics.

No it isn't? Tunnelling off hook doesn't "give you a chance" in the sense that targeting the unhooker does.
And why should I have to singularly suffer because the killer doesn't have the stones to work for a kill?
Or perhaps the killer is facing overpowered tiles, toxic survivors and 4990/5000 pallets remaining on the map. Tunneling one out is a valid strategy for your sanity.

You'd go back to using it cause its meta? lmao. There are other killer perks that are just as good if not better than old ruin and work all game. Pgtw is amazing if survivors sit on a single gen and just commit suicide for you. And overall really good for destroying survivor momentum combined with overcharge and maybe lullaby just for extra skill check chaos (and the combined skill check fail penalty) making a survivor loss 12% of the gens progress just from failing a overcharge skill check. Combined with Pgtw that's 40% of the gen gone in a single go. Unless the survivor is so pro he never fails a skill check. But if that's the case you've lost anyway. Rui just put too many eggs in one basket. Very powerful but your 3 perking the rest of the match when it drops after like 30 seconds.
As a survivor I actually find new ruin more annoying than old ruin as survivor as killers patrolling around can drive you off and force it to regress quite alot. Ad saves killers time since he doesn't need to bash the gen. Also, consider the synergy with surveillance? Since all gens that aren't worked on regress.
Ruin was successful if you could get 2 hooks before it was cleansed. It kick started the snowball. My point about it being meta was that it was used in 80% of matches before it was nerfed to poop. If restored you could reasonably see it in 80% of matches again. I would run it for sure. It didn’t carry me, a garbage killer, who can’t win without it. It provided me any opportunity to get the snowball rolling. It was powerful and effective. It was not a point of shame for running it, as survivor mains like to claim.
-
I would eat the penalty personally. If you’re playing a toxic SWF denying then objective and survival points is the best you can do.
