it usually went on for about 10 minutes. i got bored pretty quick, plus it was the same excuses all the time.
"trash killer" "tryhard" "camper tunneler"
You got that right..
It gets boring soon..

because (most) survivors can't handle going against a top tier killer who also knows what they're doing.
spirit is not easy. they will throw the "ez killer" argument around while running their 4 decisives/dead hards. i usually just turned off the chat when i was a killer main.
if you wanna play stridor spirit, ######### em. oh and make sure to smack that flashlight clicker on the hook when you have the chance. lol
@0EvanRaven why turn off the chat?
Getting their lame excuses and have them being toxic by calling you toxic is the cherry on top..

To all you ghost face mains, you may have realized how they changed the daily, so that you no longer need to down a survivor you marked while leaning from a corner, and instead either just mark them, or mark them and down them. This made it a lot easier to get the daily done and made it more feel like you're playing the killer because of the daily, and not playing around the daily (if that makes sense).
Pyramid Head has the same problem, except worse. I don't own some killers so I don't know if there are any other bad dailies (I'm not counting Nurse's or Trapper's where it's a lack of skill with the killer that makes it hard) but this is the only one I know of at the moment. Pyramid Head has to send survivors to Cages of Atonement for his daily, which doesn't sound bad in theory, until you realize how situational they are. They are incredibly situational and are only really meant to counter hook perks or quickly move on to another survivor. So you have to throw the game in order to complete this daily in one match.
My proposal is either include final judgement as well as cages of atonement, or switch it so that it requires punishment of the damned instead.
You just need to get better with PH..
I complete in 1 or 2 without necessarily throwing the game..
When you play with PH you do rites of judgement all over the map anyway.. so it's very common to fall into cage 2 orb3 times per game..

I just learned about the Pig snoot booping, so I was wondering how many more things like that there are. (i.e. If I kobe off last hook, you HAVE to give me hatch, waving your arms around while hooked to let people know it's safe, etc)
This Is BS.. play as you have fun if the game allows it..
Of your too sentimental this game is not for you.. is about surviving or get killed for God sake..

Survivors and killers both have made up rules that we need to follow and if we don’t, we’re toxic and/or trash. Never listen to them.

If you don't think he's trash now, you never played him that much to begin with. The useless new addons and that ludicrous and completely unnecessary cooldown aren't even the most insulting part of his nerf. No, the most insulting part of it are the numerous shadownerfs they gave him in prior patches, those that messed with his movement speed when he charges the chainsaw, his maneuverability during the sprint, the narrowing of his FOV, etc.
They completely destroyed him, just like the nurse.
What are you talking about..??
Don't know about Billy, but my nurse is still solid.. I still get 4k about 80%of the time.. it's actually boring.. but effective..

7 whole minutes into the game and I've only saw 1 survivor. After I hooked them, I left to check on gens and after a little bit I noticed they weren't even doing them. They just played immersed hiding just dragging the game out. Tinkerer didn't even set off once in the span of 17 minutes. It was 3 fengs and a claudette who all had the default clothes on. My god the match was so boring I just quit the match and went straight to doctor with whispers slapped on. Never fun playing against survivors who play immersed because 95% of the time they're bad in chase and drop pallets early.
I've bumped into a few that play as friends and just hide..
After I while into the game I just texted them "just finish the gens and go"
And both texted back " come and find us"..
They would be in lockers in a way that when you get one the other one would open and hit you.. it worked the first time..
They where actually good loopers.. unfortunately for them I was better killer..
Facecamped the first, closed the Hatch and killed the 2nd one..
I must say that I enjoyed killing them and their salty msgs afterwards..

OK so I enjoy playing spirit. My build is corrupt intervention, pop, stridor and either bbq and chilli or sloppy butcher. The amount of survivors who say
"spirit requires no skill just a pair of headphones" obviously don't understand how difficult it is to track someone when you are completely blind relying on sound for the most part, and also the managing of her phase timer. She is a 110 killer when her power is not recharged she is weak af. Knowing when to save your phase, when to use it and for how long affects the outcome of your downs tremendously because use too much phase and go too far you're waiting a while for it to come back. Not to mention the guessing games when you are blind.
"stridor spirit you're a try hard, why use it" oh because at least one of you in red ranks is running iron will and i will touch on the fact again I rely on sound to get my downs and track you. Why wouldn't I use a perk that compliments my power?
Now at LEAST every game I get one teabagging little idiot or flashlight clicker, but when I am unfortunate enough to go against a 4 man bully squad they do everything in their power to intimidate and bully me being as toxic as physically possible in game and end chat. Now i dont tunnel, i dont camp, i dont play toxic, until the survivors start it on their end. I dont understand the bad manners at all or why it's needed.
Roll over to end game chat... If they all die its
"its only because you play spirit you have no skill blah blah"
"you're trash"
If they win its
"GG easy baby spirit get good"
"Got wrecked playing spirit, when that should be a free win"
when I've gotten a 10 hook game and 2 kills and didn't tunnel or play toxic, but the way they were playing is completely obvious that they were on comms. Cuz that's not unfair in itself...
If I lose I know and accept its on me,not blame the survivors or their perks.
Now the worst I've had is, "you deserve to get abused and bullied, because you play spirit".
Why do i deserve to get bullied and abused end game for playing a killer that i enjoy? Can someone please enlighten me on why survivors get so nasty? I'm a survivor main myself, and the only reason I get salty is by intense tunnelling. If I get outplayed fair enough, but what is it about spirit that makes survivors such whiney little bitches? I love playing against a spirit, its fun as heck, especially if she don't rely on tunnelling or camping to get her kills. Tip... Run quick and quiet, double back, make yourself hard to predict..... Throw in dance with me and lithe and damn it's hard to track you. Survivors queues are getting longer and longer and i believe it is because of the toxicity and bullying towards killers. No one wants to play killer if they just get bullied and abused for doing so. They wouldn't even have a game to load into if it weren't for the killers
Don't mind them..
I got to rank1 with her and a couple of other killers..
Red ranks that lost mainly would call me lots of things like you mention..
Guess what.. I changed killers and I still frequently get red rank survivors that lose salty msgs..
There's plenty of survivor @ssholes around that will complain about anything, so you just play however you enjoy the game..
It's like the survivors are the bullies sometime in this game..
I actually have grown to like it 😎

So you agree the killer is able to camp this guy till death and that the 5 gens won't be done during this time.
So when is this strategy not viable ?
Winning or losing will prove you viable or not..
So at the end you can either say "GG" or "EZ"

I think you are having some trouble with this, so I'll help summarize what people are actually saying.
If a Survivor suicides on hook, they are KNOWINGLY dooming their team if the Killer is facecamping. Facecamping isn't fun, but it isn't a good strat and is easily countered by....not suiciding on hook. The Killer, frankly, is dumb for doing it as most good Survivors will simply gen rush and be done with the game.
If the Survivor suicides on hook, it is ABSOLUTELY their fault. The Killer can't force them to do anything. Even if the Survivor left to get a snack and died when they got to struggle, that would be better than suiciding right off the bat.
The best thing you can do to stop people from facecamping is to stay alive on hook and let your team do gens. The Killer WILL de-pip and de-rank.
CAMPING IS ONLY VIABLE IF SURVIVORS MAKE IT VIABLE. YOU HAVE THE POWER TO FORCE THAT KILLER TO DE-PIP, USE IT!
You are right..
Camping is only viable if survivors make it viable..
If you see the killer camping go and fix gens..
No need to help the hooked survivor right away..
But if you go for the save while the killer is there or near by.. then what do you expect it will happen?
The worst is that you end up complaining to the killer for being camping when you actually made is strategy work..
-
@YourNightmare said:
I know that Camping and tunneling are considered as a legit strategy, and i understand it when it is during the end game (2 generators left and beyond) but when the killer is camping and tunneling from the start of the trial, it's not fair for the survivor that is harassed by such a behavior and for the other survivors that will have to gen rush.
What are the results of those games ? There are 2 solutions :
- The other survivors are super friendly and altruists
They will try to save the camped/tunneled survivor, they won't do gens fast enough to do so and the killer will earn ton of points and will win the trial.
- The other survivors gen rush while the camped one stay on the hook as long as possible
They will succeed to do all gens and to escape. Killer will get 1k. Problem is the camped survivor trial is ruined; the other survivors won't get much point, they might Depipe cause they did nothing but gen rush and the killer migh still have enough point to save pipe if the first survivor gave him a good chase and if after the 1st hooked surv died the killer got some more points chasing the survivors left.
For the survivors, in both cases they are punished whiled it is the killer's fault if the trial was terrible and not fun to play.
For the killer, it won't be a big deal. So when is the killer punished for such behavior ?
Honestly, in EU red ranks, there are ton and ton of killers camping and tunneling, it's been a plague for years now and they continue to do so. Why ? Because there is no punishment. A killer playing like this should de-pipe 100% of the time to green rank. How is it possible to have 70% of red rank killers playing like this ?
I'm pissed that developpers didn't adress this issue. I'm doing ok soloQing, but most of the time a survivor is tunneled and camped in the trials i play...
You should really look into this issue cause there is a survivor suiciding on hook 1 game out of 2 atm...
This game is a 2 sided story.. what you want is for survivors to have MORE advantages..
Let me tell you the difference about the red rank and a lower rank killer that camp or tunnel...
The red rank killer wins (decides when it makes sense to tunnel/camp and when it does not)..
Survivors have it to easy already if they want to escape.. I you want to make points there's where it gets more complicated..
Play for fun, do what you will and stop expecting for others to play under your rules..

LMAO.... I turn 50 this year. I'm generation X. I got gray in my beard and scotch on my breath. But thanks for the compliment - most millinial friends I have are good people who just want to make the world better - can't fault them for that.
If you think I'm crying, you're sorely mistaken. I'm only questioning your motives because I used to be just like you. And honestly, I'm rolling my eyes because I see so much of my old mannerisms in the way you bluster about your retribution.
Again - I'm all about letting people play the way they want to to meet their objectives. You want to camp because the generators are done or everybody is rushing the hook - I support that. But doing it to "get back at people?"
Be honest with yourself - you're playing in a way you perceive makes you a tool because you're butthurt about how people are beating you. And frankly man, that's pretty ######### pathetic.
I'm sorry buddy, but the insecure child here is looking right back at you in the mirror.
Your pathetic, the fact that you take this so seriously proves it..

Be thru to yourself..
BTW.. aren't you to old (not mature) for all of this..

noun: hypocrisy; plural noun: hypocrisies
the practice of claiming to have moral standards or beliefs to which one's own behavior does not conform; pretense."
Example - hypocrisy of a man who has trashed fellow politicians for vacationing during crises - vacationing in Cancun during a crisis himself.
If you are being Pendantic for the sake of deflecting my argument and not answering for your actions, I guess you're right. But does it really change anything?
Does it really detract from my point? Retribution then? Will you accept that?
And retribution fixes what exactly? Certainly doesn't make you a better player. If anything, you justify others to keep playing in a manner that annoys you in retribution of your own bad deeds. As the saying goes, "An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind".
Admitting you camp to piss people off doesn't make you a badass - just makes you look like a small, bitter, person.
You want a better game? Be a better player and just beat them.
Ohh sorry Mr millenial..
Yea, you can call it retribution..
And I do win to those I kill by facecamp..
I do enjoy it.. you call it small and bitter? Yea you all sheep's do that..
That's how you weaklings feel stronger now a days, by trying to bully the bully first.. you HYPOCRITE..
Want a better game? I do get to rank 1.. whenever I want to do points ..
I do enjoy the game, put my big boy pants and not cry about what I don't like..

It's playing dirty because it's absolutely miserable for your opponents. It is literally the last thing anyone wants to deal with and it's not even necessary, it's just being lazy.
That's the point.. don't like it, but survivors do it nonetheless.. so I put my big boy pants and do what I'm suppose to do.. kill them all... not cry about it..
If you don't like the fact that your opponent will make you miserable cause he wants to win too, then don't play this type of games..

You can't blame a player for using the tools in front of him.
Listen, you want to camp - have at it. There's times where's it's the right call strategically (everybody is there, nobody on gens, doors are open, ect).
But camping to be spiteful.... don't you think that makes you a bit of a hypocrite? Have a little self-awareness man.
Give them the benefit of the doubt - assume they're doing a ritual or rift and focus on getting better at beating that play man
I don't think you understand the meaning of hypocrisy..
Get a dictionary..

IDK about anyone else but 9/10 of my red rank matches the killer doesn't facecamp. Slugging? Absolutely thanks to gen speeds
Facecamping will make you lose the game, but it will bring the joy of killing a specific player..
I usually play to get to red, then change killers for fun and get to purple, depending on what I want I facecamp those toxic Survivors knowing that I will lose rank but I'll be toxic to them or just don't play their game ( chasing on endless loops, chasing away from gens, etc)..
So yeah, to get to red rank you don't facecamp.. does it matter? It depends on what you want out of the game..
-
@Anniehere said:
In my opinion if the killer is face camping and survivors doing gens to leave, this is not an actual solution for the problem. because the player on the hook is not having fun and got their time wasted.
Tunneling is something else and maybe forgivable but still annoying.
I faced only one killer today that felt pity for tunneling me after second hook.
If DBD are thinking about changes then we may see them in a few months or more.
Not sure about all killers..
But in my case I facecamp to be toxic intentionally ... some survivors have toxic play that I don't enjoy.. so, they annoy me, I annoy them back..
For some reason most of those survivors feel that they can be toxic to the killer but can't take to have the killer being toxic at them..
Part of the game.. want to feel the rush of getting the killers attention, then add the tension of being facecamped if you get caught..

What rank are you?
Rank doesnt matter. I had a game where I almost done a Gen, then doctor chased me. Got hooked
Another survivor unhook me, tried to heal but doctor was coming, the team mate tanking a hit, then doctor on me again, until I got 2nd hook. The samething happened again until I got 3rd hook. 3 chases was long enough for other 3 survivor finish all Gens. Then they all escape. I feel good for them.
My build was Lithe, Fixate, Urban, Tenacity
I had 15k BP, killer had 19k. All my team mates had around 25-29k.
Was it fun for me when from the start to the last hook, I died in only 4 hits? No
Then get better at it..

Just got home, worked 14 hours. First game, straight tunneled, bad teammates. Waiting the 10 - 20 minutes on one more match before I pass out. Don't blame killer, was only rank 13, but yeah, it's pretty common.
That's the thing.. a bad killer tunnels it doesn't get far..
A bad killer tunnels it gets to red rank..
The difference is to use it as a strategy on certain teams not on all..
Use it on the right teams you get all, use it on the wrong teams 3 escape..
Same thing on survivors, why gen rush? Why Des. Strike? Why borrowed time?
Everyone is free to make whatever the game allows it.. just enjoy yourself
-
@MadLordJack said:
Yeah. It sucks, but yeah. A lot of people just don't feel like they even have a chance of winning any other way and others think that kill=win. Which, I guess good for them, imagine how amazing it would be to facecamp skemkne to death and genuinely think you accomplished something.
It's sad that dbd is in such a state where killers feel like they have to play dirty in order to match survivors.
Why Is it playing dirty?
It's actually encouraged by the point system, if you let a survivor go and heals you lose points.. is looping playing dirty? Making killer waste time 2 o 3 gen? Gen rush? Des. Strike?
You survivors like to bully and cry about anything when you lose..
The game is just fine.. minor adjustments may be needed.. is cause of this feeling that it have many people hooked on it..
Tunneling is such a bad strategy against good teams.. and good strategy against bad teams..
But only the bad teams complain cause they lost against a tuneler.. if you where good at the game at least 3 would survive against a tuneler.. ez..

I have played 8 games today and 6 of them had a killer that face camps or had tunnels 1 player the whole game. Its even more frustrating when you get done 3 gens and save your allies twice but still depip because the killer downs you and face camps you. The devs need to do something to discourage this kind of play style because it is extremely toxic and completely unfun to play against. I also know killers are gonna argue that it’s fair they get to use these toxic strategies since survivors can use swf but the devs could also just give killers a bonus for playing against a swf. Something needs to be done about these toxic strategies
Also against looping.. it's toxic, as well as healing.. if you let a survivor go and he heals you lose points.. so there's tunneling encouragement there..
The game overall is toxic.. so what? Learn to enjoy it..

@mylesmylo said:
Yeah anyone would advice hit the one unhooking first, if your waiting to hit the one getting unhooked then the consequence of that could be borrowed time activating and then screw you out of a hook for awhile. Always hit the one unhooking, but chances are they are going to try protect the one they are unhooking to stop you from tunneling them, so you got another hook right there if you catch them.
Thanks for the tip.

@NoOneKnowsNova said:
Borrowed Time it seems.
Basically, when a survivor unhooks another survivor in the killers terror radius, the unhooked survivor gains the endurance status effect for 15 seconds. If they're hit during these 15 seconds then they get the deep wound status effect but stay up.
Thanks, that explains it.

DS never bothered me as Killer, but this? This frightens me.
I think instead of punishing Killers for tunneling, we reward them for un-tunneling (?). Increased BP for hunting down another Survivor after the one you hooked is rescued, perhaps.
I don't see why killers should be punished for tunneling.. actually you get punished for letting survivors heal themselves.. so you let them go, you lose points if they heal..
It's like loopers getting intoxicated if they loop..
Both loopers and tunneling are game strategies.. both effective, both are not fun for the receiving side, but it's part of the game..
Survivors need to survive, so some take advantage of the maps.. killers need to kill, so they need to be effective..
Play whatever you like if the game allows it..

People bring up that The Trickster does not fit in Dead by Daylight because he's wearing bright flashy clothes and is not scary. Here's the thing though, if I asked you (the reader) "When was the last time you were actually scared in Dead by Daylight?" It would probably be a long time ago. For me I stopped being scared after the first 5-10 hours of playing and I have between 2.5k and 3k hours in this game. The argument of how "scary" a killer is doesn't feel very fitting for people who have been playing the game for a while. Am I right?
Now for the flashy clothing argument. Go to the freaking shop and look through the cosmetics. I'm pretty sure that's enough an argument for why "flashy clothes" isn't much of an argument once the shop released in 2018. We have onesies and elf cosmetics and you're arguing about this guy wearing hot pink and yellow? Sorry, but the looks argument died out once the shop was introduced.
I understand that people don't think he fits. That's fine, but the arguments aren't really there since the arguments used, if you play the game, aren't really arguments anymore and haven't been for a very long time. Yet here we all are still playing (and complaining but still playing).
Edit: After reading comments I don't want people to think I mean "Your arguments don't make sense." I'm saying they're weak arguments based off of what the game is. They're still arguments, they just aren't the best.
Your arguments are weaker.. just respect others opinions.. your definetly no better..
From my side I just like a darker look into the killers.. that's it.. I will just not play the new killer and period.. no need to b1tch about what other think like you ..

I guess it slows me down a few seconds, and 14 more to break it but I mean, if that costs a perk slot I have no issue with it. Sure it demolishes a lot of solo queues though, but I mean, what doesn't?

Someone entered a locker late and I saw them on BBQ I obviously went over to grab my free down and in end game chat the guy said he was gonna report me for hacking despite the fact that I explained to him that I had BBQ. This was in red ranks btw, I wish I was joking.
Salty red ranks are a dime the dozen.. they complain about anything..

Just tried playing oni, got bullied by a swf group. Would show you the after game screen, but that would give them attention.
If you finish the last gen, just leave.
No one likes a bully.
I dont mean this out of disrespect nor have revealed any names or ids.
Its just not fun to play killer anymore, since every other game is like this
But i got tome challenges... Yay.
If you seek to ruin someone elses game for them, then you shouldnt play the game.
Sorry had to get that out of my system.
Are you kidding me????
THAT IS THE BEST PART!!
Getting a group like that, killing at least 2.. tunneling them, face camping them.. and getting their salty messages afterwards is like the cherry on top..
You just need to get better..
Keep practicing, you'll get there..

Imagine him chasing you screaming OHHHH GOOONNNNN!!! That's what I think of when I see him.
I imagine him doing the floss before picking survivors up..
