I’m not sure how I feel about this to be honest and what defines a weak killer? Every killer in the game is strong, in the right hands. Are some easier to pick up than others? Sure. But my point still stands. Plus, if Michael, for example, is classed as a weak killer but I’m classed as a good survivor, would that mean I’d never go against him? As that would be awful. I love going against him and don’t want to be going against Spirit 24/7.

Definitely not all killers are strong.. unless you are a bad survivor..

Also none are weak, unless you are a bad killer..

An algorithm similar could entice killers to varying their playable killer.. at least me, once I get to red rank I only use my top 3... unless just for fun I use a lesser skilled killer which stops being fun when skilled survivors text "ez" after the game ends..

Look up hisoka morrow. You'll find him terrifying if you know who that is.

As i said, i like the darker look.. i would've rather Teke Teke (not sure if the Spirit is based on her) or Ryuk.. if you know who they are..

BTW i dodn't find hisoka terrifying.. just crazy.. he is a bad@ss character.. but terrifying.. really?

What's there to be sarcastic about? Any writer can make anything into a slasher. The hallmarks are gore, violence and 1-dimensional characters, especially killers. I've seen some great renditions of horror unicorns, fairies, etc. that could easily be paired down and turned into a monster-slasher concept.

    You really are mad 🤣

I take it you have never seen a horror rendition of a unicorn. Suffice it to say, most tend to be ambush predators that lure people in with happiness and sunshine only to violently gore them with their horn and, because it's horror, eat them alive as they are screaming and helpless as the illusion falls away.

So yes, I actually would like a unicorn killer in DbD. That could be done so well.

Lol.. can't tell if you are being sarcastic or you actually think like that..

Um, the new killer is terrifying af. Also, there are SOOO many other things that aren't "dark" in this game.

    Darn, that's terrifying for you??

    That's just sad..

Same it's pretty funny, because they can never come up with anything original.

Yea, some are just like bots.. always cry about you tunneling even if you don't, like they can't believe they actually lost.. anyway, that's my favorite part now..

  • @Dizzy1096 said:

Camp one of them. It really riles them up and they'll say all sorts to get under your skin in the postgame chat. I sit back and smile knowing that I got under their skin and gave them a taste of their own medicine. Even if 3 make it out they absolutely hate the fact that you camped one of them.

    You are the man ..

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/231259/when-a-swf-bullies-you

I just put my big boy pants on and just slug every single one of them. Once they use their unbreakables slug them all again. An incredible clown can absolutely wipe the floor with a bully squad, because they don't expect you to be good. I actually beat a bully squad last night just using shadowborn on clown with no addons lol. They told me to go die.

Don't Know about you, but I enjoy when a bully text right after the game ends to complain on how bad you are and how you killed him ..

  • @[Deleted User] said:

I don't get bullied by anyone anymore. But speaking from experience, you'll never improve unless you try and play the game out. Mastering the basics will get you to red ranks. Mastering the intermediate stuff will let you 4k every game at rank 1 if you choose to.

Really? Red ranks are even more salty when they lose..

    What's next? Unicorns??

The style may be marketing but you all are saying stuff like ‚Homo look‘, which it most definitely is not.

isnt that just how you would picture a male KPop idol that turns out to be a sociopathic sadistic serial killer?

@Mooks so what? Respect other to be respected..

Btw.. I think Kpop look is homo.. even if they are not.. I don't mind if they are but it's just the way it is..

  • @senki527 said:

Please community, stop the homophobic treatment against the new killer. I think the Killer has a cool design and an interesting power. We need more of LGBT characters in DBD, there are too few at the moment. But they made a good step in the right direction with new killer.

I don't mind the homo look.. what I dislike is the fact that this looks like a marketing plot more than adding a kick @ss killer... if there's a franchise bad@ss homo killer like Miers or Freddy I would not mind..

I actually plan on playing with the new killer as ai like to play most of them..

If you want your opinion to be respected, respect other opinion..

  • I personally have a weird sense of enjoyment on chasing after a good loking girl and hooking her 😅..

This sounds like a rare case tbh. As a Survivor main, I almost NEVER see this... And if I do it's almost always a TTV or "SubToMyYT". And, personally, if I see abuse to these perks or the bait the killer I have absolutely NO issue with leaving you on hook :)

Just like if you drop a pallet on me after seeing that I was behind you, I will let the killer have you. Someone else can unhook you (especially if I've unhooked you safely and I'm coming in to heal you) SMH it's clear they don't want help lol so let's give them what they want :)

I'm in it for a fair game tbh if I made a mistake let's take a field trip to a hook, if I can do it with bt I'll do it but you had best bet if you abuse it that's a no- go for me.

@HeckaYeah I've seen this on teams that know each other.. it's super annoying, toxic behavior at its worst.. and brings out my toxic game.. face camping, tunneling, etc.. and it's always the ones that get killed the ones that text afterwards, for me it's the cherry on top, to see how salty they are after losing to me brings tears of joy.. killers want to have fun too..

Toxic works both sides. Looping is part of the game. Tunneling is not. My only issue is tunneling and camping. Makes a killer look pathetic and desperate for the sacrifice. It's a cat and mouse game. I hate it when people go in for the save only for the killer to turn around and chase the survivor that was just on the hook.

Tunneling is as justified as looping.. killer gets penalized if survivors heal.. and also a faster way to cripple the other team.. deal with it

  • @dspaceman20 said:

Oh killers just wanna have fun

    That's all they really want.

( can you guess the song)

But in all seriousness as a survivor main I would say play however you want as long as it's not toxic I guess.

It's a game where the goal is to kill or survive.. the goal itself is toxic 😎

  • @KingFrost said:

Just stop teabagging at the exit gates, especially if I gave you a fair game. Maybe it's not meant to be taunting, but it definitely feels like it. Especially when you dead hard to avoid giving me one last hit.

I like intoxicating them from the distance (with the clown) when that happens 😎😎

  • @KiwiCoattails said:

By loopers, do you mean people that taunt you into chasing them or survivors just looping in general? Because if it’s the latter, what are they supposed to do during a chase? Just jump on the hook?

I think the only thing that I truly dislike going against is OoO as it’s such a broken perk, but it’s being reworked soon, so happy times.

The ones that just run around in circles, like throwing pallets and running around them... and by your logic TUNNELING is the best, or what does the killer supposed to do? To let them flee and get healed or hook the weakest link? 😎

  • @Venusa said:

NOED is one of the unhealthiest perks in the game. I'm having a really hard time understanding some people's arguments against it.

"Just cleanse totems" --> You all know for sure that it is highly unrealistic to expect all 5 totems to be cleansed without dedicating your entire build and time into it. Sometimes you can't find each of them on some maps and sometimes you'll go out of your way to do 4 but the last one will STILL trigger NOED. You literally have to ignore your main objectives, gens, helping other survivors and run around the entire map taking your time cleansing all 5 totems. Well you probably won't even reach the endgame if you play like that. Also, cleansing dull totems doesn't reward you in anyway expect for BPs and a potential NOED.

"NOED isn’t even a good perk" --> Just because you don't come across NOED as a rank 1 player (red ranks), doesn't mean it isn't used widely by all killers in purple and green ranks. Just because you know how to counter NOED doesn't mean the killers aren't rewarded free kills on lower ranks. Sometimes survivors don't know what to do and that they can go down with an easy basic attack. Some of y'all need to think outside of the red rank bubble. NOED is super common on lower ranks, you basically assume the killer has it.

"NOED is inconsistent" --> Never have I ever been a part of a game where NOED didn't trigger and reward the killer at least 1k. I only play solo and expecting all other survivors to find and cleanse each totem is unrealistic. It's just so unfair that you have to go through the whole game and all your efforts to escaping is thrown away by A PERK.

I am trying to be objective here. Before you assume: I play both survivor and killer equally. I see problem perks for both sides. But NOED is the CHEAPEST out of them all. For example: even though functionally similar, I don't mind Devour Hope AT ALL! Because the killer actually EARNED that power and had to progress in the game. It actually adds some excitement into the game to see everyone trying their best to find and get rid of the Devour Hope totem. It's very powerful but still fair. Meanwhile NOED is like: "here get these free kills because you reached... the endgame...?" It's just extremely unhealthy... It's a widely known stereotype that you expect the killer to have NOED if they are doing badly during game... Isn't that enough by itself to show what a joke of a perk it is...

I guess desicive strike is a great perk.. or the fact that escaping is too easy without NOED..

The fact that NOED does not work in favor of survivors does not mean that is bad.. you just need to play better..

  • @OmegaXII said:

    About 4.

It isn't a fortune cookie answer. When to Herd, Camp, Tunnel, Slug, or Mori (and many others) is entirely dependent upon when you think you should do it or just when you WANT to do it. These are all legal, valid tactics in the game. There is no qualifier for "unselfish" use. You play the game as you think it should be played in a given match to achieve your objectives. Your job as Killer is to kill; that's the long and the short of it. Your original question is the wrong way to think about it. There are no unofficial rules, no survivor's rules for Killers. YOU decide if/when it is appropriate. That is all.

    Darn Right 😎😎

  • @[Deleted User] said:

You should never do any of those filthy tactics. They're unfair and painful when you're on the other side. Just don't do it, the survivors need to have fun too.

As well as you should never loop, heal, save others quickly, ... right? Killers want to have fun too.. 🤣🤣

  • @MeltingPenguins said:

I'm still kinda stuck on the response not_queen and the devs gave in the QA stream when the question of if there's plans to do something about tunneling etc came up.

They said that in some situations it's 'necessary'. And I am trying to think of a single situation in which that'd be the case.

Now, you could argue that when taking out frustration against a toxic swf it's 'justified', but... that's fighting one problem with another (toxicity vs toxicity).

And all other situations... I can't see necessity there. IN-UNIVERSE one could argue that killers do this because they are scared of the entity's punishment, but we are NOT in-universe. We are all humans (mostly) playing a video game against other humans. So, when exactly is scummy gameplay 'necessary'?

Cause all scenarios I can think of that don't involve genuinely toxic survivors would have tunneling/etc mean the killer has their ego hurt and can't stand the idea of not getting an EZ 4K in... And catering to people like that is... not good.

If the killers didn't get penalized for survivors getting healed, or if survivors could not get healed, then tunneling would have less sense..

  • @JackFrostMan said:

I have never heard someone using the term "tunneling" for someone working on a gen. News flash, survivors have the main goal of getting generators done.

That's what they want to do. Get the gen done. You want to stop them from doing gens? Down them and put them on a hook instead of just chasing them away.

Killers have the main goal to kill, so i guess tuneling is a great plan based on your comment .. hope to play you soon so i can tunnel you to your end 😎

  • @VonCrow said:

Don't be confused, the toxicity on Killers is born because of survivor's behaviour. Every game has 4 potential toxic kids against 1, is logic to realise that.

Most of survivors are rude to the killer, with t-bag, flashlight clicks, "ez" in the endgame chat after being carried by DS and DH...so yeah what do you think the killer would do if he is being provoked that way...he will be toxic and play iris huntress, noed, mori etc next game.

So basically as survivor (not OP, I mean in general), the less toxic you are the less toxic killers you'll find.

I just played a game as deathslinger and 5 gens were done in almost 4 minutes. Toolboxes, DS inmunity and stuff, you know what they said in the endgame chat? "Ez game, don't play killer". You know what I'm thinking? Playing noed next game.

    Is simple as that.

I've Made peace with it already..

First I felt bad, but now I enjoy being a TOXIC KILLER to TOXIC SURVIVORS.. and I get fun out of it.. obviously they don't, cause they text afterwards 🤣

Besides, that's the intention of playing games, having fun 😎☠☠

  • @Mister_Holdout said:

This game has always been a toxic cesspool. Sometimes you get unlucky and encounter rude player after rude player.

Just one of those things you have to come to terms with.

Yep, the game itself has a toxic nature.. you get penalized if a survivor heals, you are encouraged to kill any means necessary, etc.. in my case most of the time the losers are the ones that are salty afterwards..

  • @ClownIsUnderrated said:

For me personally my top five are...

1.) DeathSlinger - I know a lot of people don't enjoy going against DeathSlinger, but he is incredibly fun to play. Being able to shoot survivors is such fun gameplay, and it's always nice to go for some nasty shots.

2.) Demogorgon - The only monster killer in the game who is very fun to play once you get the basics of how to use the power, would totally recommend Bronx for anyone who wants to learn the ways of the Demo.

3.) Clown - As a Clown main I very much enjoy being an annoyance towards the survivors when I play Clown. It's always nice being able to do big brain like plays with Clown's bottles, and with his rework the antidote makes for even more big brain like plays. Also would totally recommend running Trail of Torment on Clown, it's a perk that nobody would expect a Clown to run.

4.) Hag - If you like strong killers, then Hag's definitely someone who poses a threat. It feels very rewarding being able to be anywhere on the map with Hag's traps, and you can really get into the survivors heads when they think they have the upper hand on you. A godlike Hag will destroy any team, also run Franklin's Demise on Hag.

5.) Huntress - Definitely a lot of people's favorite is Huntress. A killer that requires skill is always a fun one to play, and Huntress definitely has quite the skill ceiling. I will admit she at times gets carried by her Diesel truck size hatchets, but it feels oh so good going for a long snipe across the map. I used to be relatively bad at Huntress, but once I started playing her more and got that experience I started destroying teams left and right.

Those are my top five favorite killers to play, would love to hear yours!

    Man..

I love playing with the Clown, is the one that I enjoy the most..

I change killers with Spirit, the plague, pyramid head, Oni, and I'm not sure who to try next.. any advice?

  • @Phasmamain said:

Sorry to say that spirit players aren’t the most respected in the community

Yep, a lot of salty players that do not like to lose 🤣

  • @Phasmamain said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1959616#Comment_1959616

I get that. I switch between like 5 different killers at the moment

Yeah, that's fun... You have to be prepared to be prone to lose a few games which I don't mind.. but once the toxic players come in scene I stick to my main killers for a few games..

I enjoy playing with the clown, it's fun but it really depends on whom you play against..

  • To never mind salty players 🤣🤣🤣

  • @Mandy said:

I've seen this on a couple of threads now: What's the one thing you wish you had known when you were a new player - that one tip that would help you immensely in game?

For me, when playing killer, I wish I had known that the survivors could see your red stain (it took me a while to figure this out).

Wait.. what?? Survivors can see your red stain?? OMG..

  • You can always look at the blodpoints at the end of the game.. the one with the highest wins..

  • @Rougual said:

    - Survivors send me hurtful messages.

    - Played fair and nice for years but still got hurtful messages every match.

    - I started collecting the messages.

    - Im numb now.

I haven't played for that long.. but I get the same.. usually high ranks that get killed will complain like if they have the right to not get killed cause it hurts their feelings..

I actually enjoy their crying about it after the game ends.. 🤣

  • As bad as Decisive strike..

But most survivors just complain about NOED while using the extra life (decisive strike)..

If you play good, you can survive NOED or catch the survivor again after decisive strike.. but some players just like to make excuses when they fail their objective..

  • At least I am.. not proud of it..

As I get closer to level 1 and get high ranked survivors there are a lot of douchebags ..

If they get killed they make excuses.. start calling BS .. always the high ranked killed ones are the ones that text after the game ends..

So nowadays.. I get a looper and I will kill it one way or the other.. camp him intentionally and enjoy their salty messages afterwards.. like it's cool to loop but not to camp..🤣

  • What are you talking about??

Being killer is fun.. if you enjoy being the "bad guy" and are somewhat good at it...

    Kill 3 or 4..

If get level 1 loopers make them pay by kiiling them in a camping/tunnel way intentionally (even if i only kill 2) and they will most of the time text after the game is over crying about it.. that's actually the part that i enjoy the most 🤣🤣🤣.. them crying about it.. like it's cool to loop but not to tunnel..

For me it's not about getting to level 1 anymore, it's about having fun.. so looper time is camping time 🤣🤣 let's see who enjoys it more.. 😎
