It's not even unique to Terminus.
Any perk that inflicts broken can counter Adrenaline.
yes but never specifically at end game..

Question. Did you have a problem with old iron will ?
yeah it didn't make me invisible as well :D
-
@Crowman said:
Adrenaline already ignores exhaustion and even waits for you to be unhooked or dropped from the killer's grasp to trigger.
A single killer perk hard countering an already good perk that already ignores things it shouldn't is not an issue.
but that's the whole fun of it? We have worked hard to get to end game so i should be allowed some fun. now one perk takes away any recovery from adrenaline.

I did wonder why the onis I faced got their power soo quickly…

Not even that you managed to make dead hard so much worse, I get now in 50% of the cases I try using it exhausted on the ground.
Thx DBD!
OT: DS stun of 3 sec is a joke. I get tunneled all the way after that!!
Yerps, I knew this would be a problem…

Because that is how you properly play survivor. You do not camp a pallet. You hold W. You will keep getting punished for your mistake until you learn. Predrop it. Always. If you can get away with not predropping it, you did not need it anyways. That killer is clearly inexperienced.
Iv played 3 years now- Iv just noticed that pallets that should drop and stop the killer don’t- they end up on the same side as me… I’m usually pretty good at predicting when to drop a pallet.

If you're far enough away to mindgame then you're not at risk of getting hit. We're talking a margin of error of about a second, if less.
I mean Iv seen killers catch up up to me on a loop when they shouldn’t have- mainly by seeing them rubber band towards me. 😬

If ping is bad enough (>300ms) then it becomes validated by the server instead.
Otherwise no, it doesn't need changing. It's a fundamental feature of the game that hits need to be handled on the killer end. Otherwise it would be impossible to hit anything reliably. As a survivor, you just need to allow an additional meter or two of distance to avoid hits, but if the hits weren't registered on the killer side, then killers would need to be able to see a couple seconds into the future in order to predict where a survivor will be and land their hits.
so you're basically saying that survivors need to see into the future too, why would I throw a pallet early when I know 100% that I shouldn't be hit on the next way around but the game poops you over. its quite frustrating. im sure their is more accurate ways.. like Fortnite has 100 ppl in their lobbies and is more accurate...
-
@HugTheHag said:
Hit registration is done on the killer's side, if killer is lagging and still sees you in front of them, it'll hit, even if you're on the other side of the Atlantic by then.
This needs changing :(

Really? Cause I'm Gold IV now as Solo Survivor and doing just fine. I'd be higher if I also didn't play Killer too for dailies and whenever I'm feeling a Killer game, I'm Silver III as Killer atm.
My build is We'll Make It, Flashbang, Iron Will, and some random 4th perk. Trying out random things with the last one. Pretty sure the problem is most Survivors are just really bad, without their 5-6 freebies for making mistakes repeatedly.
I mean I’m gold- but that means crap all. Still had an awful time getting to it lol
-
Yes losing more- quite a lot more tbh! Majority of matches aren’t fun anymore either. Finding killers tunnelling and camping even more, even though they have been made stronger? 😷🙃
-
the game is literally awful for survivors atm- I have played for 3 years and I'm struggling- not because of my perks but because of the buffs of killers. BHVR Went too far.

Thats where the MMR eventually kicks in and the stomping players suddenly face skilled players that aren´t stomped easily.
I actually don’t think MMR exists… I literally get 3k hour killers or babies-
-
This is basically every game Iv played since the update- Iv survived twice. I’m a player of 3 years- and I’m usually pretty good. But Iv kind of had enough now.
survivor got hooked near my gen- I ran off it- killer camped them so they d/c- other survivor killed themselves on hook in basement as the killer just stood at the top of the stairs and then me and my friend just got slugged until we died whilst they shot at us. I think the morality of survivor is really low atm- and it’s not helping have toxic killers rubbing it in.
-
How most games have gone tonight- I think this is my answer.

The patch didn't do anything special in this regard, it's the same as before except now you have base mini BT with a speed boost.
If anything killer's who don't camp and tunnel have a better chance now than before.
In my opinion, no the changes aren't that bad. But the survivors throwing a tantrum right now, DCing and giving up 30 seconds into a match are.
pretty sure there is less pressure now as gens are slower encouraging camping.

Yeah you still have to be good at looping which is much harder now. I only lost as killer to good swf:s and some of them had legacy skins and they were insane loopers and one girl used new dh perfectly or hacked im not sure.
I don’t mind the new DH well if the servers don’t lag, then it’s pointless. I’d say I’m usually pretty good at looping- but lately I’m getting hit with strange lunges hits especially if I’m greeding a pallet.
-
@roundpitt said:
So you're telling me you can't survive without Dead Hard and 2 extra seconds of stun on your DS.
i actually don’t mind the new DH- don’t use DS since the last nerf. You can’t afford to use perks which disable when you touch a gen on this patch. You have to be on them majority of the game to escape. No fun allowed!
-
I mean I know many people who have stopped playing this patch- me and my friends got fed up of being camped every game, with no gen pressure. So we are playing something else now. And we have played near enough everyday for 3 years
-
Yerps- won’t touch solo now- tbh my current 3 SWF struggle now-
-
Sorry no- killers can’t complain this patch sorry.
-
Yerps it’s awful- I don’t even want to play r/n :(
-
thats something they can consider- as right now survivors can’t get the gen pressure for camping killers.

I have no desire to get free wins whatsoever. I also have no desire to see survivors get free wins because of having access to broken mechanics like Dead Hard, and dozens of ways to fix their own mistakes.
The game has not been in the killer's favor for awhile now. This patch finally brought them back to a place they should be. And even with these changes, survivors will eventually adapt and find new strategies. They're just not used to having to actually be skillful, since they're so accustomed to abusable perks and strats that net them easy wins and trolling the killer. Now that's become harder to do, so they whine on the forums about how unfair the game is, even though it isn't.
In time, the dust will settle. If there are any problems after that, then those things will be adjusted. If survivors are doing so poorly as the forums claim, they'll be looked at, and adjusted accordingly. Just like always.
I mean considering every person I know died more than survived before the update, I would had thought it was more balanced then. Now as survivor youve got no time to have fun. It’s gens or camped on hook.

It’s been awful. Me and my friends are Taking a break this patch as see if it will change. If not I guess after 3 years it’s goodbye and onto a diff game. :(

You can't bully killers like you used to. The base meta kit to bully killers was gutted. And you hate it. The extra 10 seconds? Forcing you to cooperate instead of antagonizing the killer into chasing you. The 2% cooldown on attacks? Forces you to pick your unhook time a bit better. The increased bloodlust accrual? Forces you to try and and get creative in losing us for a chase.
Because you can't bully killers into quitting anymore, many are throwing a fit. However, look at this patch like this;
It gives everyone experimentation amd freedom to practice characters and perks they've never tried because of the previous Meta.
I mean killers are just bullying us now. Camping every round and hitting on hook- Iv had like 1 good match since the update.

Sorry to hear. Kinda dissapointed in killers. Games are so easy atm that there is no reason not to take it easy and chill, even when we are going for a 4k.
I mean it makes sense- if you get full stacks of thana you can just wait out someone’s death as it takes 120 seconds to die on first hook and 110 seconds to do one gen.
-
@ButterFlee13 said:
We already have a clear understand on the previous meta is an arm race between survivor's extended chase and killer slow down gen perk.
What I will say below is based on killer mindset that I understand, I know people sometimes are lacking emphaty toward opposing side which is normal tbh. But this is what I am trying to break down what devs are intended here for the changes. Which is to promote less camping and tunneling.
Camping and Tunneling: This is the game feature, but I believe the dev themselves never want killer to do that since it lower the interaction between killer and survivors.
- Playstyle: They want to do it or its their play style. Result: low pip, low mmr, less interaction with survivor.
- Hopelessness to get into another chase, when gens flying too fast for them to feel sure that they can chase and down another survivor before another gens pop as survivor has too many protection. Thus, they will resort to tunnel or camping.
Now, I can only say on 2nd point due to the 1st point is not a fun way to play and have some draw back as well.
For the 2nd point, this is what the new change will try to fix. Yes, the dev did not do anything or give any punishment for the camping and tunneling.
Instead, they buff the play style that give killer a sense of security of downing survivor if they see them. And also, give some sense of comeback despite gens flying in the beginning of the game.
For Example:
Scenario 1 Before update:
- - Killer hooked a survivor while gens down to 2 or 3. Killer will think that cannot do anything meaningful to get into their favor as survivor has dh and do gen very fast. Result= Camping and tunneling
- - Killer hooked a survivor, survivor team mate try to bait for killer to leave hook, Killer saw the survivor and thinking that they have dead hard and can extend chase more. Not guaranteed down. Result= Camping and tunneling
Scenario 2 After Update:
- - Killer hooked a survivor while gens down to 2 or 3. Killer will think the gens is longer, and they can make a comeback.
- Cause: Longer gens time, encouraging killer to get into chase more with some sense of security
- Result: Less Camping and tunneling
- - Killer hooked a survivor, survivor team mate try to bait for killer to leave hook, Killer saw the survivor and thinking that they can down them in 30 sec. Leaving hook.
- Cause: Shorter time of downing survivor, encourage to chase other survivor after hook
- Result= Less Camping and tunneling
With new update:
- Chase perk and info perk are become more valuable as you can get to chase more than before.
- Chasing survivor will have a higher guarantee to down them within 30 sec compare to before.
- Killer can have a comeback even gens flying at beginning of the game.
- NOED will be less desirable as end game perk has a very limited windows to begin with.
What do you think?
its happened every single game since the update? Killers can get the stacks of thana and camp whilst it takes 110 seconds to do one gen, then the survivor is dead on first hook at 120 seconds. Makes sense for the killer to just camp.

Buffing killers is nerfing tunneling and camping imo. Those are pretty boring tactics and when i feel like i dont need them i dont use them at all.
I havent felt the need to camp or tunnel at all since the patch and i feel like im not the only one.
I mean considering every single game besides one who was a nice streamer, atleast one of the survivors has been tunnelled and camped out of a match.

No, it really isn't, but okay.
Well considering the 100% bp bonus was on survivor all day because the killers have camped all day- abs no one wants to play survivor pretty much shows how unhealthy it is for the game.

If you dont enjoy it switch role or play something else. I personally switched role and play Killer exclusive. I was previously playing at 70/30 ratio survivor/killer. Right now 0/100 and I this will not change for a very long time assuming devs will take a very long time adjust all these changes
First person makes me dizzy unfortunately

SWF is slightly tougher but still playable, one thing you have to take on account is you cant lose sight of your objective as SWF, no totems unless its lit, no chests, no memeing around, only gens and heals, you have to play SWF with Solo mindset now because the Killers snowball superfast.
As Solo yes its time to completely ditch.
Iv realised that… you literally have to be glued to gens and try gen speed builds- but that’s soo boring. So I think it might be a goodbye for me for now! See if anything changes.

You can say that all you want. But the fact comes from the gameplay. Even at high MMR, my chases have gone to sometimes lasting over a minute because I had to chase them down AGAIN after they used DH, to lasting 25 seconds at the most. I haven’t changed anything about the way I play / chase. I have ran into a couple survivors who were still good and gave me a good run, but it’s much more rare post patch.
doesn't seem fair to me? over a minute to 25 seconds is a lot!

90% of survivors issues is stemming from their dependence on DH to win chases while their buddies do gens. Too many crybaby survivor mains are too lazy to adapt to the new meta because their true skill level without a broken perk is showing. “wErE gOnNa QuiT”
im using the new dead hard fine- i do miss the old style, but that's not the main issue.
-
@dugman said:
There is literally nothing wrong with slugging, tunneling or camping. Just play how you want.

survived twice all day- camped and tunneled, can't even do gens to fight camping anymore because it's too slow with thana.

I've uninstalled the game for now which is probably a bit drastic. I'd sit on the game for a bit and wait to see if the devs put through any changes. I could easily see the DS stun time being reverted back to five seconds. Thana could get reverted too. Wait and see.

I understand being camped, nothing can fix that at the moment. But getting tunneled... Excuse me, but you sir just don't even trying to avoid a killer after unhook. Are you just staying still after you was unhooked or what?
Do people understand that tunneling is much harder and unefficient to do after patch?
I mean I end up running them for most of the gens but inevitably I usually die. But it’s not just me- I’m on about other team mates being tunnelled- only so much I can do to help and when we are helping to prevent a tunnel there is less gen pressure.
-
@VonCrow said:
Mindgames in chases actually matter. Now its a mental fight between survivors and killers. Not press E to win anymore.
As killer you feel less forced to tunnel and camp as it seems games are slower now, so more chases, more fun, more opportunities for everyone, more BP!
I might be rushing this feeling but this might be the best balance patch they ever did.
Thank you for making this game great again.
Been camped and tunnelled all day :)
