  • Swamp is great! The maps are cool and different.

They aren‘t just flat like every other map, which is cool.

They look good and they aren‘t as clear and bright as all other maps, which I really appreciate.

They layouts are really good and fair.

If they rework them, I really hope they only change the graphics. We don‘t need a rework for the Layout and how the maps work.

  • I didn‘t read everything, but I also think that luck should affect the items in chests and that luck offerings should get some more %.

Behavior should also make „ace in the hole“ base kit, so that chests are more worthy the time and when we are already changing chests. There should be more chests around the map and in the basement. Maybe even make a special chest, which requires a special key like on nostromo.

What they are doing to the pig is so sad, the traps are just a meme now and don't have thrills anymore :( They are so focused on chase... this is so sad, their should be more than chase! Traps are entertaining

Completely agree, when I want no traps, I play Chucky.

  • Toolboxes should be buffed they are too weak.

There is no good green sabo toolbox and the gen speed purple one and grey ones are just terribly bad.

I was using the Demo and Doctor changes as an example of the killer buffs. They are not that big and in no way comparable to bringing back Dead Hard or CoH.

I do agree that survivors haven't gotten a lot of great perks recently though but they haven't received none. Dramaturgy, Plot Twist, and Troubleshooter are all good perks, they just can't compete with how good the most used perks are. Deja Vu also only reached top ten because of a recent buff.

Same with killer. The most recent killer perk in the top ten is from 2021. New perks such as Ultimate Weapon and Friends Til the End are also really good yet they also aren't in the top ten simply because, despite being good, the others still just outshine them.

Rather than make more powerful perks, they should nerf all the top tier ones and then buff the weaker perks or add new perks that are around the same level as the new nerfed top tiers. I mean this for both sides, not just survivor. Regression and slowdown perks are the biggest offenders of stopping perk variety.

The problem with most of the perks you mentioned, is that you have to spend money for them (licensed). Friends till the end and Ultimate Weapon are really strong, but I don‘t like to open a locker for it. The nick cage perks are more fun perks, which is cool, besides of plot twist they aren‘t really useful.

COH: I would make it go out after a number of heals or that boons, which get distroyed have to be repaired and cleansed afterwards again. That sounds fair for me.

DH: I don‘t know whether you were immune while dashing, but if you were I would remove that and make the exhaustion timer longer.

I have the complete opposite opinion on the last part, but if they want to go that route, they should finally nerf pop and pain res. On the survivor side isn‘t really anything I could complain about and I play mostly killer. (I want to play survivor, but it‘s everytime a bad experience, so I play killer)

My problem with the nerf everything philosophy, is that this will never end. It will continue until everything is useless and even then that one perk, which isn‘t, will get nerfed and it continues.

    Disagree.

50% CoH was still an issue. Infinite free heals for the entire team is a bad idea.

Original Dead Hard was awful for killers. Adding more anti-exhaustion perks to counter a perk with 70%+ pick rate would have just forced killers to play with 3 perks and made every other exhaustion perk except Dead Hard nearly obsolete. If you are forced to run a perk just to counter another perk then the perk is an issue.

Trust me, the current Pain Res/Grim Embrace/DMS is NO WHERE near as bad as Overcharge/Eruption/CoB. Survivor was hell. Especially Eruption basically taking you out of the game for a whole 16 seconds. (GE/DMS should still be changed though don't get me wrong)

No perk should ever be at the level of CoH, Dead Hard, or Eruption no matter how fun they are. If a perk has to be overpowered for it to be fun, then the perk isn't fun you just like easier games.

Giving killers like Demo and Doctor small number changes is not anywhere near the same level as bringing any of those perks back.

I'd much prefer they just nerf the high tier killer perks in line with the rest of them rather than make more overpowered perks for survivors that completely shift the entire game around them.

Demo is not weak and the doctor changes are good. I wished they buffed doctors illusions to move or that they work like mirages clones in apex legends.

It‘s just sad that there isn‘t one new survivor perk under the top 10 most used perks. All of them are very very old.

The issue is that broken perks like those are absolutely miserable when you play against them.

No one thought CoH, Dead Hard, Eruption, Overcharge/CoB were fun to play against. And the only reason people found these perks fun to use was because they just won games for you.

If a perk has to be either overpowered or weak, then I would personally choose for it to be weak.

CoH with 50% self heal was fine. DH dash-version was cool and they only needed to make some good anti exhaustion perks. Overcharge/Eruption/CoB I didn‘t play in that time or I didn‘t encounter them.

The thing is that strong perks win games for you hasn‘t changed. Now those perks are only for killers (pop/pain res/Grim embrace+dms).

I hope they return some of the old perks as soon as they helped some of the weaker killers to be in a good spot.

They said in the alan wake livestream i think (or maybe somewhere else i don't remember) they want twins playstyle so not be based around slugging anymore. They also want victor to be less buggy.

I don't know exactly how but i bet they could achieve what they want.

I think/hope they will give the right buffs and make the switching between both better, so that slugging disappears, because it‘s no longer necessary.

  • I think they should aim for a bit more than 55%, but not much higher. Killer is already easy enough, besides some of the weaker ones.

I don‘t like that survivors get mostly bad perks, because of the kill rate. I want some of the old perks back like coh, DH, ruin, iron wil etc for both sides. Strong perks are far more enjoyable than having only weak ones.

i prefer have a weak mechanic that has potencial to give rewards rather then one that doesn't work at all vs good players. It just means that i am going have to work much harder to get wins. with old ring drawing, I'll still get 1 condemn for healing. I don't even get ring drawing in this version of the killer.

Completely agree. Therefore I want her first version back. It was difficult to condemned people, it was optional and if someone wanted to deactivate your TVs it wasn‘t free, which could hurt them in the end.

Currently I think ring drawing has still both effects, which is nice, but when they patch it, it will be useless.

It's gonna be a rework. For the hillbilly update they said they will make him "slightly less frustrating to play as". Look at how that went 😆

Maybe, but what do they want to rework about the twins, they can‘t really change too much.

  • @VomitMommy said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3658387#Comment_3658387

I like that approach to be honest...

I am fine with overall gameplay as Twins, but it's kinda Singularity issue with difficulty and all those bugs are just hell and fatigue after each down with Victor just feels bad.

I wished they made this approach for Sadako, instead of the reworks.

I don‘t play both of them, because of those things. It‘s just too hard for what you get.

  • They said, they don‘t rework twins. They said, they will polish them and make them better to play.

  • I don‘t like that they fully rework characters and change the ways they work. At this point I payed for an other product.

I feel the same with Onryo. Her first version was the best and didn‘t need the reworks. Only some buffs were needed and a nerf to ring drawing to no longer work while slugging.

They can add more depth to characters or add new things, but changing how they work is just wrong.

Therefore I don‘t want a Myers rework. He is cool the way he is. They only need to add some more things and make tombstone a bit more difficult, but he is fine.

With the pig changes I feel the same way as with Onryo. This character is about deadly traps and not about dashing around.

  • @Devil_hit11 said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3658148#Comment_3658148

that is the same with Sadako. Lost identity. Sadako's condemn was fine before. All they needed to do is nerf numbers like instead having 0.75 condemn, they could nerf it to 0.33 and instead tapes being 2 stacks, just nerf to 1. keep gameplay the same. unlimited tp wouldn't be so bad because you would take 6 tv TP's to build 2 stacks of condemn.

I can‘t say whether it would be a good idea. It would make people ignore her condemned until they are at 5,..stacks and then the 2stack clutch comes maybe into play or all your condemned build up is lost instantly. It could still hold the same issue, that people just turn off most TVs around them, which renders her TVs near people useless, but maybe it solves the issue?

  • @Devil_hit11 said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3657132#Comment_3657132

at this point, i just want my flicker to be relevant in the chase. Either condemn or Flicker has to strong. right now neither of them are good. unfair for how pig get a good ambush while sadako gets nothing.

Yes it‘s so sad, how they left her. The changes were a good start, but her condemned counter makes her chase and condemned useless. I also want her to be more unpredictable and have better flicks.

I didn’t want those pig buffs, I wanted trap buffs. She is a killer from a franchise, which is all about deadly traps (saw) and now she has a bit better coup de grace. She really lost her identity.

  • How often do you encounter this perk?

I didn‘t see it for months! The perk is completely fine. One survivor has to follow you the whole time (no gens being done) and then has to get to the downed survivor before he gets hit, which isn‘t easy. Just bodyblock and hit him in time.

  • The best way to make it fair, would be to return her back to her OG version with the buffs. There everything was obvious and it wasn‘t too overwhelming for new players, because there was no form of global condemned.

They also have to make it clearer, that the locked in stacks can‘t be removed. I wrote with someone after a round and he told me that he ran around and delivered tapes, which didn‘t help him at all.

Behavior can make unlimited changes like the TV auras, that will only help people, who know how to play against her and the auras make it very annoying to play against those people.

Another Problem is her pick rate, it‘s so low that many people never got the chance to play against her or very rare, which then gives no way to learn her counter and until you encounter her again you already forgot what to do.

Behavior could also make tips, that appear in game, which then tell you „turn off TVs to protect yourself from the curse“ for example.

i most played sadako for her mori. I'd play billy, blight, wraith, dredge if i wanted mobility. there is many options for mobility but not many options for a fun mori killer.

Her first version allowed that, but it was more difficult. With those buffs you could go for it easier than with this version and also against good good players. Sadly it‘s unlikely that they just revert her back.

  • @Devil_hit11 said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3654740#Comment_3654740

why don't you learn billy or maybe dredge. both of those killer are mobility based. Sadako is based around mori's and her mori was healthiest version of mori that i have played against or played as in previous iteration.

Until they fixed her mori, she won't have any viability.

Shurely I could do that, but why am I forced to play a killer one particular way?

My suggestion don‘t even focus only on mobility. Shorter TV cooldowns alone would have made her condemned a lot stronger and with my suggestions she would be good in both ways.

Why don‘t just make her a cool killer in two aspects?

I can assure you that most people back then didn‘t play for condemned. After her first rework she got picked a lot less (I played a lot less against her), because it was a harsh nerf to her mobility, which made me drop her.

Also they don‘t need to nerf everything about her only to make her mori impossible to archive. They should either return her without the proximity condemned buff or with it. In both cases it would be more difficult to archive, but still possible and it would be skillful and not given for free anymore.

I just dislike that she is currently only good against noobs and her condemned is nearly not existent. Back then it was difficult, but still possible.

  • I copied my post from another discussion.

Her first/Og version was the best. You needed skill for condemning people, she was scarier, you had better mobility and it was the fairest. All in all she was almost perfect.

The first rework was terrible. I bought the killer for her mobility, which was the most fun thing back then. After the rework everyone took tapes, which denied her mobility almost completely. She was also incredibly unbalanced and unfun to play as and against. Just spam tp and hit everyone with tapes-> repeat->Mori.

Second rework is better, but still very bad. Her mobility got back a bit, but is still hindered by survivors turning of her TVs constantly. Then the Tv auras make her chase even worse than it already was and they get abused to run around to turn off all TVs at the same time, which is so incredibly unfun to play against. This killer is currently only designed to be a noob stomper, which is so dumb. Your own skill doesn‘t really matter. What matters is the missing knowledge of survivors. If they know the counterplay, you are basically only a m1 killer the whole game.😔 Tapes have no downside, which makes those problems even worse and turning off TVs for 1 stack is so unfair, they just run around turn everything off and get 0 stacks in the end.

Things that are needed for this version, but I think you should just return to her OG version:

    • TV auras should be completely removed, except of the target TV, where you have to put your tape in
    • Passive condemned after holding a tape for 50s
    • Insertion speed back to 2s or 1,5s
    • Remove the one stack traid of for turning off TVs if the Tv auras stay

    MY HOPES/WISHES

Behavior you did such a great job with her first version!!! She was almost perfect!!!

I want her OG version back, because there the focus wasn‘t on condemned only and your own skill mattered and not the missing skill of survivors.

Strong passive condemned of tapes made survivors rarely touch tapes, which was great! Your power was under your control, because all TVs were online. You could use it in chase, to track people, to condemned them, to get close to them and my favorite to scar them.

    My ideas/ changes:

    • Keep the lock in; it would solve one of the biggest issues: called condemned slugging.
    • Keep the chase buffs (speed boost after tp, no slowdown when manifasting, longer invisibility…), shorter tv cooldowns, anti stun
    • Tapes give one stack every 25s again
    • Condemned gets only applied by one Tv again
    • My condemned buff idea: 24-16m 0,5stacks; 16-8m 1stack; 8-0m 2stacks. This would make her condemned stronger, which would already be stronger through shorter Tv cooldowns and make it skillful again
    • Addons: Return old iri tape, old reikis watch either 50% or 33%, keep current bugged ring drawing, return old yoichis fishing net
    • Give us something to hide her lullaby by making her lullaby disappear through obvious or something else
    • Edit: Remove Tv auras, remove 1stack Tv turn off traid off, change tape instertion speed back to 2s

Please behavior give me my favorite killer back! Current Onryo is only good against survivors, who ignore her TVs and extremely bad against any good player. This is extremely unhealthy! She is literally reduced to be a noob stomper, which will make her kill rate stay the same. Her first version was the fairest and most fun and skilled one.

I will wait for some weeks and hope you address the issues, but the best solution would be to return her back to what she once was with the buffs you gave her. Please don‘t leave her like this. She in such a bad spot and I think you should go away from giving her any form of global condemned, most people can‘t deal with it. I don‘t Even want to use her condemned, because by making it global/ all Tv condemned her TVs will always be offline constantly.

Please just give me good old weak, Onryo back🙏🙏🙏🙏

  • @Raptorrotas said:

Or we undo the nerfs to rbt and condemn?

    Jeez.

Sad how every discussion about strong and weak killer is about nerfing the stronger.

It‘s so sad, that they nerfed every aspect about Sadako.

    The teleport/scary factor and condemned.

Now she is only good against noobs, because everyone else hard counters her and makes her a m1 killer with no power for the whole game.

Her first version was the best, condmned required skill, it wasn‘t too oppressive and her mobility was the best. They only needed to buff her OG version.

Against competent teams, Sadako is the worst killer in the game. All you have is a teleport that is rarely available. All she will be is a pubstomper if bhvr doesn't do anything with her

Yes, that‘s my main complain. I really like her first version, because you had the control over your TVs and you needed skill. Now you are basically a m1 killer against every competent team.

  • I hope they make matchmaking work through ranks again. Apex almost died, because they introduced sbm in ranked. Thankfully they reverted it.

  • @MikaelaWantsYourBoon said:

We are getting new fun killers ( Chucky, Xeno, Larry ). UW and Friends Until End are good and fun perks. GE also buffed and now it's meta too.

Billy also buffed to very fun level. Sadako is in good spot right now, she is really so fun after her last rework.

I am not complaining about killer content. But we are getting nothing but garbage for survivors.

Ellen got bad perks, there was amazing suggestions for make them viable. But no. Ignored. And now nobody uses them.

Gabriel got MfT and it nuked to ground. This perk deserved to be nerfed tho but still Gabriel did not give us any good perk. Non of his perks are seeing in trials.

Alan Wake got with amazing bad perks. If i would rank survivors by their perks Alan Wake would sit on F tier. And sad thing, there was really good suggestions for his perks as well but nothing happened ofcourse. Even his first week, i did not see anyone uses his perks. Even Champion of Light.

There was chance to make Quick Gambit viable but no, we only got meh number tweaks and called it a day. Ofcourse this perk is still dead as before.

Survivors are getting bad and bad content, nothing good. Tomorrow is PTB and we all know new survivor will have another 3 garbage perks nobody will use.

We are getting tweaks for few killers for next update and some of them are really excited. But what survivors are getting? Nothing.

Again, i am not complaining about killers are getting good content. But problem is that, survivors are not getting enough content. It feels like BHVR is just don't care about survivors.

Sadako is really bad designed right now, but better than her first rework. Her OG version was still the best. Currently she is reduced to being only a noob stomper, because good survivors can take away your power entirely, which feels so bad.

  • Delaying the appearance for his M2 would be strong as addon. It would make dodging it really difficult.

  • @monochromeworld said:

they nerf sbfl/ they make sadako trash tier killer (and soon Pig join her) they killed mangled/3-gen strategy/camping/the most good killer perks (survivor perks only being buff for almost 5 years). I also dislike those changes, but the game is killer sided. There is no doubt.

  • I really looked forward for these buffs and again nerfs.

The dash buffs are nice, but nothing compared to the nerfs to her traps.

Now her main part the traps are even more useless, which I think should be buffed not nerfed.

I would change, that the timer is between 2min +10-20s and make, that progress when leaving a box gets lost over time like with haemorrhage to weaken scream builds.

This nerf is needed, Pigs was abusing scream build for trap kills.

But however, buffs to justice this nerf is so bad. They should buff her stealth more. And i am still not sure if her anti-loop is good enough.

The only thing they needed to change about her traps, when you leave the box/scream-> the progress gets lost over time like with haemorrhage.

  • @Archol123 said:

I like the direction, but I agree that the buff to her chase might not be enough to compensate, however from the standpoint of RBT mostly being gamedelay it is totally fine to reduce their lethality. Especially if this gives her more to utility to her dash... Might actually play her again after quite a while with the better dash.

The things is, that she is not supposed to be a dash killer. She is a saw killer and the focus of saw is traps, that kill people and the story of course.

They're not supposed to kill survivors, that's the point. The threat of them is to stop survivors from repairing generators, and push them to go search boxes. When the survivors do go search boxes, they aren't going to be killed by the trap, that's almost guaranteed... but the traps have already done their job because those survivors gave up generator progress to prevent their death.

Head pops should be very rare, that's the whole point of her power. That's why this change ultimately doesn't matter, the timer is almost irrelevant as long as it's pressure to not be on generators- and plus thirty seconds isn't going to make survivors more comfortable repairing while trapped when they already don't know how many boxes they have to search, that's nothing.

We just disagree here. I want to at least being able to kill someone with it, but now that’s impossible.

In the movies the traps were supposed to be doable, but Amanda/Pig would make them impossible to win and not an easy non threat. The traps being able to kill someone should not be incredibly rare.

  • @Crowman said:

I would rather not make survivors immune to scream while searching a box. I would prefer if progress didn't get reset

I would make it like haemorrhage, that it looses progress over timer or that it can‘t loose progress.

  • @jesterkind said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3652889#Comment_3652889

They could stay the same, or they could be changed, and neither would affect the viability or value of the bear traps, because they're not meant to consistently kill people.

Agree about the scream change, though, surprised that wasn't here.

I‘m fine with them not killing someone constantly, but they are already never killing someone and they aren‘t any threat. I would like them to be a threat, but nerfing them to never ever happen again is just stupid.

  • @jesterkind said:

It's very rare for Reverse Bear Traps to kill someone because that's not the value they're supposed to give. If they could reliably kill people, they'd be far too strong. That's not what they're for.

With that in mind, the two nerfs Pig is receiving are extremely negligible. The timer increasing doesn't matter at all, and not being able to see the aura of boxes really only serves to tone down some of Pig's meanest and most unfair plays.

The time should at least stay the same. They only have to make, that when you scream the box search stays the same or that it losses progress over time, instead of instant.

  • I really dislike the patch.

Pigs most fun part are the traps, which are just more useless now. It is already extremely rare, that they kill someone. I think the traps should actually be buffed, instead of being nerfed.

    Doctor/Hag/Demo are fine I think.

Huntress is very strong and will now be far too strong/overpowered.

Clown I already hated to play against him and now he is even more annoying and you have even less chances.

Mangeled was never the problem it was haemorrhage. This status effect should get the cooldown.

  • This discussion is still bugged.

No it's the official website. Possibly 4 seconds two can play was a thing in development

Sadly they changed it. It would be such a cool perk with 4s. Right now it isn‘t even worth being a hex.

  • It‘s fine. I didn‘t see someone use it for months.

I tried to use it and it‘s not that easy like everyone makes it sound like.

I think it's an improvement on the original, for sure. I'd add that it applies condemned as soon as you teleport to the TV, not after you crawl out to maximize the proximity effect. And naturally, I agree on TV auras being removed/Tape speeds/Addon improvements, but I am hesitant on passive condemned until I'd know how proximity condemned would do itself. And definitely keep the condemned lock to really make it a risk to greed gens over tapes.

My idea with the proximity was; each time you teleport to one TV, the survivor near it gets 0,5stacks (24-16m); 1stack (16-8m) and 2stacks (8-0m). I changed it a bit from above.

I would definitely keep the lock in, it was a great idea by behavior.

Yes, she should definitely apply condemned as she crawls out, not afterwards.

I think if we would revert her back to only apply condemned by one TV, tapes need to have (strong) passive condemned. Otherwise the whole reason why I want her OG version back makes no sense. I want full control over my teleport.

  • My biggest problem with dredge is; that I often end up with every locker being locked. Then every time I tp in chase, I‘m stuck in a locker, which gives the survivor too much distance.

-> solution: make that the locked lockers reset at the beginning of nightfall

The second big annoyance is; that you always teleport into the locked lockers, which should be changed.

->Make that you can decide in which one you wana teleport.

With the rest I‘m mostly fine. I wouldn’t say NO to a better locker placement, faster tp or other improvements.

I'm going with first rework, but I need to explain very specifically why

First iteration of her was pretty weak, if we're just going off what she had available at the time. Survivors could hold her power hostage or ignore the tapes completely since condemned only targeted 1 person at a time if everyone splits on gens. Addons were also mixed but had some good ones, with a problematic Ring Drawing for slugdako plays.

Second iteration was a nightmare to balance, but I think it could have been possible. She also got the anti-stun while demanifested, which was pretty nice. Addons were roughly the same, but Iridescent Tape was a tad weaker and Ring Drawing was brought in line, mostly.

Current iteration, while I do like it, has the problem of TVs being able to be shut off most of the match so teleport freedom with no cooldown feels restricted, weak addon pass (Aside maybe Ring Drawing changes, and Reikos watch being fixed and some of it basekit though, that's a plus) and the hook condemned lock, while great, is limited a tad but I do admit is in a better spot than before.

All this said I still love playing Sadako, just kinda disappointed in both the constant changes, difficulty with the community learning counterplay, and trying to find a sweet spot for everyone to enjoy her as well.

I was actually happy that survivor ignored tapes back then, because it didn‘t limit my teleport constantly, which is the thing I dislike about both reworks. I think if they gave her OG version all those buffs (cooldowns; speed boost; lock in; etc) she would be in a good spot.

I think any form of global condemned might always be a bit too much for the average survivor.

What do you think of my idea of making condemned based around the proximity to TVs?

I‘m sad that we didn‘t get her old iri tape back. It was my favorite addon. I hope they leave current ring drawing bugged (maybe make it purple) and that reikos watch goes back to 50% or 33%.

    What the current version needs:

    • Tv auras removed
    • Small amount of passive condemned (1stack after 50-60s)
    • 1,5-2s tape insertion speed
    • Optional: better addons

I would agree, and in most cases, I generally have multiple survivors turning off my televisions. Rare occasions, it’s just the one person going around, shutting off TVs, that I can handle but when it’s multiple people turning everything off, it’s terrible.

It does not really matter whether they run around or not. If everyone sits on one gen and turns that one TV near them off. 4 of 7 are offline for 70s and if they turn on, just eat that one stack.

I don't have the exact percentage to hand but it's a small percentage at the high MMR level - it's above the soft cap.

The bigger areas are at low MMR and at mid MMR - high MMR is really a very small percentage of players

Mandy, why doesn‘t the Feedback of the Onryo post appear on top of the other discussions, after someone commented something. It is also stuck with the date of yesterday.

  • Why doesn‘t this discussion appear on top of all others, after someone wrote something in here?

It’s been 1 weekish since Onyro has been updated. Unfortunately people are catching on very quickly. She’s becoming so easy to counter it isn’t even funny.

when I go up against her with two or three of my friends, they work on generators while I go around the entire map, just shutting her TVs off. 🤷🏼‍♂️ there isn’t much she can do about it and I have a good idea of course when they’re gonna come back online the time I make my rounds again.

We gained very little condemned from this, why? Because it’s that simple, I press one button, and there’s no consequence for me to turn the TV off, the time I turn off several TVs and cleanse I am perfectly OK.

When I play as her, the same issue happens, someone spends the entire time just turning the televisions off. I don’t get an opportunity to teleport, I don’t get an opportunity to condemn slow down my opponent.

It’s become more apparent than ever that the counter for survivors to shut down sadako is entirely too easy.

It‘s really frustrating, when survivors do that and you can‘t do anything against it. I really hope they fix it and don‘t stop now.
