Pennywise is a physical avatar of universal destruction. He was created at the same time of the universe and is only constrained to the form of pennywise because of the way humanity perceives things.
Ya but he got beat by wishing him small.

I will admit in a situation like that you are pretty screwed. However, it is not exactly carrying that killer. Being "carried" by something is winning only because of it. A good killer who protects their totems and scares survivors off of gens gets value out of their perks but is not being "carried". If they were carried, this means that they played very poorly and the only reason they won was because of [perk], like NOED.
It carries them from winning 9/10 to winning with 4-5 gens left every round. Why anyone enjoys playing to such a degree is beyond me.

I disagree with good killers being carried by this combo, but maybe mediocre to bad killer players were sort of carried by the combo.
What is the point of running undying + ruin if you are so focused on a chase the whole game, or doing something else that is unnecessary? This is what bad to mediocre killers have problems with. But if the perks still work against a killer like this, then it is probably the survivor's fault for not doing gens.
Good killers on the other hand earn the value they get out of this combo. It really did take skill to use this combo in a way that you get lots of use out of it. Unlike a survivor perk like dead hard where you just press E to erase a mistake made or make distance. It took skill because like I said, you have to know when to just run around scaring survivors off of gens or chase them.
I had several matches with actual skilled players using nurse, spirit, freddy, pphead, that would use this combo. And not just use it, they were, during a chase, actively looking around for auras of survivors even working on dull totems and would break chase to guard the totems. It was completely over oppressive and impossible to do anything (solo queue). I gave up every time because its not worth my time to play with the universes ultimate sweat lords. It carried good players more than it carries mediocre or bad ones.

It was actually only skillful killers who really got value out of this. If a killer is bad, they will probably not even get that much use out of this combo. I say skillful because you had to switch from chasing to scaring survivors off gens to chasing but not too much of either. But yeah, this combo was terrible because it was all up to RNG.
No, God awful killers might not have gotten much out of it because they're gonna get stomled either way, but bad-mediocre-good killers were carried by this combo

Yeah say this to every bad survivor who relys on second chance perks and crutch perks that they all love to use so much
There's no comparison

1. having three hatchets doesn't mean a hit. Any decent survivor can juke out three shots from a meh huntress.
2. Only less competent huntresses get near you and then fire. The counter to this is to make distance under cover.
Exactly my point. Incompetent huntresses use iridescent heads. Good huntresses don't need to.

You have to be accurate with iri head to use it efficiently. Mediocre huntresses get one hit in 5 reloads.
Wrong for two reasons
1) they always bring infantry belt giving them 3 hatchet
2) once they miss once they don't fire again until they're right in your butthole and a hit is guaranteed

If i tunnel or camp its at endgame or for pressure. I dont do it as a playstyle and I rarely do it. I never eat d's for the most part because I dint tunnel. This is just an idea to prove that killers will tunnel if they can and the games health will be ruined
Yes, its pretty disgusting to see what killers do when there is no obsession.
-
@ShamelessPigMain said:
They've talked about a range requirement, but I have my doubts. Iridescent head huntresses are already very, very skillful huntresses, who are accustomed to sniping from mars. Of course, if survivors can adapt to learn line of sight, that'll balance it.
Skilled huntresses don't use Iri head what are you taking about
-
I don't really understand getting mad at a video game. No matter what happens nothing in your life will be different when you turn it off, I have fun win lose or draw, unless I get tunneled by a merciless douche, thats not fun
-
Yeah I don't know why some people have to be asses, if I see someone do it I will message them that they're turds, unless the killer was a douche. But always try to remember people that are happy and well adjusted in real life don't need to abuse people and be poor sports in a video game to feel better about themselves.

DBD is not like Path of Exile. They can't go in and change several perks all at one time, several killer powers, several maps, UI, animations, all at one time. There is a lot of balance at stake. There is A LOT of code that has to be changed. Nobody knows how all the code is intertwined except for the devs. Patch notes are not quantitative either. The one sentence of changing survivor locomotions and animations is a huge change whether it looks like it is or not on the surface. That change alone could equal an entire page of Path of Exile's patch notes in terms of effort and time required.
DBD is successful and they must be conservative with their changes or they can blow it up. From what I can tell, they are changing a lot in this update.
Disagree altogether
-
Watching this video pissed me off actually, because he's right. I spend way too much money on this game, probably time to stop that.
-
Yeah, and they don't balance things properly when they do fix something, or its bug city, usually both,, as was stated freddy is a problem, went from terrible to stupid easy to use and overpowered. Spirit is a joke noobs killer too. They accidentally fixed her and patched it. Foreheads

Also this decline you mention is only due to the Mori's being changed ,without notice and keys not being changed in the process, which is why all killer's are angry right now.you are just boasting on the words of other's, you generally don't have complaint only you're on what you think is wrong, also producing sometype of hysteria.I know you going to sit their and list a bunch of complaints that other have probably stated, but the game it self is in the best condition it has been in year's a few bugs go fallout or skyrim then tell me something.
Not nearly all killers are mad, just bad ones that relied on ebony moris or the bs combo of undying and ruin. Yeah keys are bs too, but not nearly as bad as ebony moris, for all you know they will surprise patch them this mid chapter, I wouldn't be surprised. But I rarely see a survivor bring a key, usually when someone gets one out of a chest is the problem, which is total bs shouldn't happen.
-
######### are you talking about lol
-
Sorry not sorry that ruin undying isn't there to carry bad killers to undeserved wins anymore. It cannot be denied that this combo was extremely bad for the game.
-
Pc survivors are not better than console survivors, thats a myth. Pc killers aren't any better than console killers either, they just have much more precise controls making killers like nurse, deathslinger, huntress, blight, and to an extent oni much more deadly with a pc killer. Cross play off extends your wait time, the longer your wait time the further matchmaking throws a net for other players, making matches worse.
-
Edgarallenbro had a funny af hacker Jake a week or so ago, I never laughed so hard in dbd. He could instaheal everyone, had infinite firecrackers, could fly, hook himself, turn clear like when sacrificed, kick the killer like he was kicking victor but mega fast, set off bombs like when the entity takes a sacrifice, instantly free carried survivors. It was damned funny

The reason why I find Ds so annoying, is because I get hit with it when I don't tunnel, and I feel like that's the reason many other killers find it annoying aw well.
Getting hit with ds while not tunneling is rare. Most killers don't like it because it's easier to tunnel off the hook than actually give survivors a chance to play the game.

He jus made an observation to exactly that; the coincidental hud similarities. He wasn’t actually tin foil hatting the likenesses😄
I find it interesting how these little coincidences fall into place, and the subliminal, vague clue dropping that developers take part in
...Ed Boon is the master of this. He even mildly trolls when new MK characters are coming as he drops clues on his Twitter feed. Keeps us in suspense, while getting all the players riled up in anticipation of who’s next on the roster. I love it.
The BE devs do it too, wish they’d do it more
Yeah I miss when we had good clues or even outright leaks, because you didn't know if you could believe the leaks even. Too many original killers lately, nothing to tease.

@Jarol said:
Maybe they make us that reference to the new HUD and the "STARS" that we will see the Resident evil chapter in the future, but I can't be sure of that much, last year many theorized that the killer of the fourth anniversary would be Candyman, Springtrap , Pinhead and even Jason, the same happens with the chapter of Blight and The Twins, they theorized that it would be the Werewolf, Vigo and The Wendigo, so far I do not trust much of the next chapter of license or original.
Regarding the candyman deal, I think it is pretty much accepted that covid delayed the candyman movie, which delayed candyman coming to dbd, so he's probably a killer ready to go once the movie drops. Tony Todd said he voiced a couple of video games around that time, started following bhvr on twitter, and wouldn't answer direct questions about whether he was the next killer. Too much suspect behavior imo.
-
Spirit and freddy. Freddy's is more immediate because you see it when you enter the match, but when you first hear spirit phasing its epic eye roll time.
-
I never slug and statistically virtually never get hit with ds. How? If I do return to the hook, its to get the unhooker, not the unhooked, because i play both sides and I know how it feels bad to get screwed like that and how much I feel that killers that are so sorry that they need to come tunnel off the hook are just bad at the game. Its not a fair move, its a desperate play. Sure if I get mega gen rushed its gonna be hard and I might lose but so what, its not the olympics.
-
This happened to me the other day when I tried to disarm a trap in front of an exit gate, it tried to open the gate instead and sucked me into the trap. Git gud foreheads.
-
But if they can't taunt you at the exits it will eliminate those oh so sweet moments when you're able to down hook and kill someone that was being an ass at the exit gates. Much more satisfying then anything else in the game

How to resurrect a 12 month old post, starring all of yous that just posted

Freddy isn't OP. He has counters. If your smart enough your learn to counter him. Nurse requires no skill. Kinda easy to tell you both aren't killer mains your just here to be toxic. So lets hear it. You killer of choice, rank, perk loadout and add on. With freddy im rank 1, I use basic add ons, I run thanat, nurses, sloppy and bamboozle. I've also played since beta and I've participated in tournaments before. I've looped Octava and lived to tell the tale. I dont actually play a whole lot of freddy tbh. I only play him at rank 1 when im in the mood to be sweaty.
Man your post is all over the place.

So im a low skill killer? Thanks buddy.
Well if you're debating whether or not to main freddy then yes you are probably a low skilled player, I haven't touched freddy in over 14 months because it feels dirty, just like spirit.
-
If you are a killer that consistently has a problem with DS, then you're a tunneler. Stop relying on proxy camping hooked survivors and you won't be worried about ds anymore. The best killers and streamers don't camp. You dont have to either.
-
Ultima online is still going, 23 years old. There's no reason to ever make dbd 2, they won't be able to get all these cool licenses again (I'm assuming) and it would sort of destroy the community. They can keep updating the graphics, tweak the gameplay etc. Worst case rebuild it from the ground up as an update and everyone saves their progress. As messed up and buggy as this game is, there is obviously a reason we all play it too much, and why games that should be contenders to it like re resistance or predator or f13th, aren't able to compete at all. Dbd has a rare cool factor that's hard to duplicate.
-
Undying with ruin was bs. And I run hunch. It was just.... bs. The definition of training wheels. At least now its good with devour and lullaby.
-
It had to be cHanged, solo queue was impossible to get a win with anything but a terrible killer using this combo, and even against swf it boosted try hards using spirit etc. To unbeatable status without them having to even try hardly at all
-
@Speshul_Kitten said:
I’m thinking survivors are gonna have a fun time with extended queues
Well the rest of us are sick of having to hunt down 2-5 totems before being able to start the game

Well this perk was bs as it was, they nerfed it more than I figured but its still somewhat useful? Maybe?
-
Can we see how it works out before being little bs about it Jesus christ.

@Peanits said:
We did a stream on this recently. I would suggest giving that a look if you haven't already.
As far as capsule based hitboxes go, yes, plenty of games still use them. It's very common in almost any game that doesn't require precise hitboxes (i.e. headshots, body shots, etc.). Having precise hitboxes in DbD would be largely unnecessary and give smaller survivors an advantage over larger survivors.
I really can't say WHAT the problem is, but hits are close to as bad as they've ever been. I have a ping that is always 57-63ms to the server according to the lobby. I can take two steps after a vault and get hit. I can take three steps around a corner wall, and get hit by a hatchet and get downed, I look behind me and can't even see the huntress for 3 seconds until she comes around the corner. I had high hopes for server side hit validation, me and my friends laugh because we assume it has been turned back off, its inexcusably bad. In the same match you can get this trash and then have a solid vault where the killer smacks the wall the next minute. Its like ######### is this game it has no consistency.

See, this killer beat them with a much worse killer and a much less sweaty build
A very good Blight is much better than freddy in this kind of scenario.
Also, that blight wasn't using a weak setup either with an ebony mori (no idea if it's pre nerf or after),pretty much blight strongest addon combo, and decent perks.
Not to discredit him/her of course.
Ah damn, I didn't see the ebony mori. Lol
-
See, this killer beat them with a much worse killer and a much less sweaty build. Kind of ruins the op argument. Not that he's wrong you will almost never beat this swf, my point is its just as gross to run Freddy with as much op ######### as possible, stomping 19 out of 20 groups mercilessly because of your OPness. Glad the op gets to see how it feels
-
The only thing sweatier than these survivors is a killer running Freddy with ruin, undying, and franklins
