They could lengthen the time it takes for it to be usable as a slight Nerf to counteract the upside.

Maybe..but even so faster vaulting for survivors still seems like an area that should be avoided tbh...

A 10% faster action speed for every fast action that quick and quiet affects sounds cool, but I wouldn't mind if they left it alone.

That would be pretty strong at loops though.. potentially too strong considering how often it procs

what proof do I have? If you never saw a Claudette using P3 clothes and hiding in the corner of the map.. then you have a long journey to go bro HAHAHAHAHA even, I assume you did not know that you can use other perks.. hahahaha for sure claudette is the medic (? and ONLY uses self care, botany and empathy right? HAHAHAH go and play a little more kid :D when you get in red rank we talk boy oke? have a nice day HAHAHAHA

Garuntee I've gotten red ranks far more than your ignorant self lol, your also a tad racist apparently too..so I agree have a nice day..your not someone worth wasting brain power on

  • This perk would be very broken because itd bring it from being an issue for stealth killers to screwing every killer and giving the ghostface issue to all killers..plus..survivors shouldnt have the ability to eliminate killer mind games entirely because it's the only way killers have had any success in this game..but leaks have confirmed stealth killers are getting a nice buff which will fix object so no worries

  • @SkaRiot said:

Wow, I had the same idea about how moris should be changed. Having moris only work when someone is dead on hook is a change I'd love to see as it will effectively make playing survivor no longer ridiculous if the killer decides to run a mori. Although, wouldn't using a key be the same as running a mori?

Exactly..but nobody wants the keys looked at because only survivor mains want moris nerfed..God forbid they should lose something similar XD

HAHAHAHA Just believing the fact, not what I want. ;)

What proof do you have then if your so smart? I'd like to see your source if it's not just what you think , how many hours do I have? How many killers/ survivors do I own? What's my devotion level? I'll wait

Not rly. At best they lower the value of ruin for a time and if u have a coordinated team you can all instantly pop a gen if you all have BNPs. But that doesn't mean they are strong.

I mean...25 percent for free with the only requirement being skill checks with 15 already garunteed plus it doesnt damage or use up the tool box like insta heals do to med kits, which means you still get to use the whole toolbox..that's pretty nutty considering gens are already considered too fast

I understand, you are new in the game, have a nice day :)

XDDDDD believe what you want buddy..believe what you want

  • Mettle of man was destined for a nerf the moment it was leaked...its benafit is too powerful and we need less perks like it not more, that being said..its still very possible to use it's just that survivors (especially solos) dont play the way mettle requires to work

  • Bnp are still very strong statistically speaking

A totem counter does not “throw away” every hex perk. In fact it actually has zero effect on every hex perk except for NOED. And if a totem counter does get implemented, obviously killers would get that information too.

In fact it does because with a totem counter totems would always get found and would never work..throwing away some of the best perks killers have entirely because half their power comes from not knowing they exist..why do you think huntress' lullaby is barely used despite it actually being a decent perk on paper..? Because survivors know it exists as soon as they get a skill check and usually go hunting for it immediately ,

  • @michaelkhj said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/620846#Comment_620846

yeah! Claudette should be invisible! even running should not leave red marks. Stealth survivors should be stealthy, Claudette should counter BBQ, Nurse's Calling even Whispers.. otherwise theres no point to play Claudette. that's right? hahaha

Shes not made to he stealthy technically shes made to be a medic and her perks confirm that...so..you have 0 point I guess..? Lol

  • The entire idea of making moris useless is bluntly biased to the extreme and as someone who's leveled nearly every killer past level fifty by a long shot I can assure you they are very very rare..never seen multiple moris together..I have seen 2 bnp connected to each other however very recently..so do forgive me if i feel your facts are more than slightly skewed on the whole idea

  • Well I am not on that band wagon because it's extremely biased..no..this is about reworking the animations to make them more enjoyable to watch , sorry for the misunderstanding

For the clown, he cuts off all the fingers, drains the blood into a specific bottle, then shoves it down the survivors' throat and they choke on their own blood

For the huntress, the survivor starts running away, she nails them with a hatchet, then she chops their head off with her axe

For the pig, she strangles the survivors, then unsheathes her blade into their skull, piercing it and killing them

Hmm..not a bad few ideas..the clown one I'll say I prefer his mori as it's very tied to his lore but I agree aside from the finger it is quite plain ..huntress is kinda cool..but could be really buggy due to terrain, still glad to see ideas flowing

I would love more gruesome mori’s and for them to be like more climatic... like hear a survivor being mori’d from the other side of the map as a sign of “you’re next 😈”

Also, why does the Wraith look like he is spanking survivors? 😂

XD dont ruin wraiths mori even more darn you lol yes i kinda wanted to give flair to the og killers as they're the most lackluster

Make Cypress like an Ivory that can only be used once the gates are powered. Allow killers to kill the last remaining survivor without an offering. Leave the rest as they are.

This is not related to the post so I'd ask you to take this talk elsewhere , but at least it's a semi fair idea..not entirely but semi

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Here’s my idea for changing Mori’s, BUT only the offerings. (Rancor & Devour Hope are unaffected)

So no longer do the offerings allow a “kill by your hand mechanic”

The offerings instead put a survivor hooked for the first time immediately into the struggle phase BUT they still can endure 2 hooks before a third hook sacrifices them.

Cypress = 1 survivor first hook state straight into the struggle phase.

Ivory = 2 survivors first hook state straight into the struggle phase.

Ebony = 3 survivors first hook state straight into the struggle phase (strong, but still not super oppressive because at least 1 survivor will have the full, normal “on the hook” time and states.)

This would keep the offerings strong, make the cypress offering much more useful (because who uses these really?!) but a killer doesn’t get a quick kill even if immediately tunnelling those rescued because an affected survivor STILL needs to be hooked 3 times to be sacrificed.

I'm sorry but that is a terrible idea and would only benafit campers and in fact inflate it..now..this is not the point of this post so take this stuff elsewhere if your only here to whine about a mechanic , also do not speak for other people you'll be surprised how wrong you are

  • @Warlock_2020 said:

I still want to see some hook moris. Then let the body stay on the hook afterwards instead of breaking it.

Could have LF shove his chainsaw through the abdomen like usual, but have it happen at the hook. Maybe Trapper could go all frenzy on a hooked survivor.

Would be macabre to have bodies hanging on hooks. Kinda what a horror game is looking for.

Hmm interesting idea..but then it would screw with hang man's trick likely

I like the concept for his Mori, and it is fitting, but it looks a little silly when the survivor doesn't actually fall apart into two pieces.

This is true, but it seems the devs dont actually wsjt to RIP apart the survivor models in moris for reasons of their own so st least it's not just his mori

  • Thank you for trying to help out in making a more positive atmosphere , as for Billy, his isnt bad but perhaps a little more detailing on his cutting through the survivor would be nice, I could go either or with his mori since it does fit his character

LOL what is hypocritical? Those perks are all so meta right? They completely ruin any stealth options the killer has right? No they aren't and no they don't. They barely have an impact on the game because the aura reveal is a few seconds after a very specific trigger. I play Ghostface and have absolutely no issue with any aura perks except OOO because you can EASILY play around all of them.

OOO is the only aura perk that is a problem because you are basically visible 100% of the time if the survivors wants. And it's a problem for all killers, not just stealth killers. The logical thing would be to just change OOO and call it a day, because that's the only perk that actually has no counter play for killers and heavily impacts games.

You're basically asking for aura perks to be useless against stealth killers because you fail at being a good killer. It's so easy to play around all aura reveals other than OOO it's not even funny.

Once again..are they good perks or not? If not you shouldnt care..if they are then you should accept stealth killers need an identity and now will soon have one..have fun with your ignorance as I'll bear it no longer..I've torn your petty tantrum apart

  • @Raptorrotas said:

Taking For Honor's executions as example, moris certainly are (or could be) able to express a killers personality, which doesnt really happen normally in trials.

Well spaghetti code aside, adding a mori slot to cosmetics wouldnt be hard.

But i think moris are too rare (too special) of an occurrence to consider this.

Now if obsession / rancor was basic mechanism or something similiar....

If it were a base mechanism itd be a different story but outright changing it just because survivors whine about it isnt logical nor fair , but yes I agree with you entirely..but please let us try to stick to the post's purpose..I dont seek a flame war

  • @thesuicidefox said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/621039#Comment_621039

It is unnecessary because the problem wasn't aura perks, the problem was OOO. And even after this change OOO will still be a problem because it's a problem for every killer not just stealth killers.

OOO needs a change. We don't need to make a universal exception to stealth killers for aura perks. We need OOO to be reworked.

Like if you seriously complain about perks like Alert, Breakdown, Dark Sense, or Kindred while playing any stealth killer then you are just being a cry baby. These perks aren't the problem. OOO is the problem.

Funny how your calling me a crybaby for wanting stealth killers to have an identity but your complaining that perks that "arnt a problem " being countered by the killers that logically should counter them...no offense but your being seriously hypocritical

I really love these ideas I actually had these ideas for Moris with trapper and wraith the wraiths Mori sounds cringey and gross cause your ripping out there skull and spine whole

Lol just like hag and her mori is the most popular in game..its like wraith is taking a trophy

  • One change....ghost face..since his change it went from needing a bit of sneaking to break his stalk and good timing/ positioning to basically he gets broken out behind walls all the time (got several clips proving it..one I posted to Twitter just the other day ) now he just gets bullied by anti stealth perks all day so now hes another underwhelming killer doomed until the devs fix him...plus community feedback meant nothing when people begged to have him be left alone..it really soured my view of the devs..I'd like my faith restored

  • @thesuicidefox said:

    This is so unnecessary.

Change OOO. That is the problem, not aura perks. Aura perks other than OOO are totally fine against stealth killers because the aura only lasts for a few seconds. You can easily play around Alert or Breakdown as a stealth killer. OOO screws over ALL killers not just stealth killers.

Also Oblivious is kind of a dumb status. Why tell the survivor their perks aren't working? You are telling them that the killer is in stealth mode. That's more powerful than any aura perk.

No it's very necessary..gives stealth killers their own feel..their own place , and oblivious isnt for stealth killers I imagine except maybe myers..its interesting for other killers though

  • The devs own data said escape rates were way higher in high ranks than that so your being told some bs

  • Same with survivor insta heals and other items so thats..irrelevant...and if you think bnp is bad your clearly not seeing the big picture..but I already said this was a chill post so this will be the last I say on this..not looking for a toxic hashing out with people who only see 1 side of things..I'm here to have fun designing some cool animations for the community to enjoy talking about and sharing ideas..that is all

Why do moris even exist besides in perks?

  • @Atrushan88 said:

@immortalls96 Um...how is a key similar of benefit to a mori? A purple or red key both require all 5 gens to be done for all 4 to escape. A red mori pretty much automatically gives the killer a win and depips for everybody, and a green mori greatly enhances a killer's chances to win. For a key, you still need to do every objective, unless people die, in which case you still need to do as many gens -1 for every death. Survivors are rewarded for using keys because they still did their entire objective.

This is why I said before you think moris are balanced, to imagine an offering where survivors only had to do one gen, and the hatch spawned, because as of right now the hatch only spawns when all 5 gens are done, unless the killer is winning. The key doesn't automatically give survivors an advantage. It gives them a chance of escape when things are going badly.

A mori automatically puts the game in the killer's advantage regardless of the situation, and no, moris are not rare. I've seen several, even going so far as multiple in a row. In a normal game, a killer with an ebony mori will automatically have 8 hook states removed, if he kills everyone, which is very likely if he slugs the next to last survivor, and a killer will automatically be trying to use that mori ASAP, meaning ignoring everyone else except the person who was just unhooked.

Survivors with a key need: 5 generators, and 3 other people to listen to them when looking for the hatch for a 4 escape. These are not the same mechanics, and I would argue a key is NOTHING like a mori. That said, how else would one use the hatch if keys were removed? How would one get the 4 people escape through the hatch achievement? And the EGC isn't a guaranteed kill for survivors, and if they have a key it's likely one of the only ways to get out if the killer got a 3k and closed the hatch because of how the doors are positioned. I'm not against the removal of keys(although I can't imagine how it would work with that achievement, and honestly keys don't seem that powerful to me), but I find them pretty lackluster as a killer with Franklin's can remove the key from the survivor, and again, they still need to do 5 gens unless people die.

@Rydog Pretty sure you still get them, just not as many because you're not hooking them as much as you normally would need to.

I see where your coming from but...the mori cant be activated without a hook first..technically the mori only removes 1 down from the equation so it's not as huge as people like to pretend..I say keys are just as strong because they can be modified, still give free escapes weyher you acknowledge it or not, and as I said can be farmed in abundance..a key shouldnt be as strong as it's a 1v4 so the killer should have more punch regardless

  • If moris go keys need to as well...as they give a very similar benefit..difference being survivors are rewarded for using keys and can be farmed in game using plunderers plus get multi used from a single one. While killers only rarely get them..black pip at best when using them plus losing points and are always lost no matter what , plus are not a guaranteed win at all..strong yes but I've survived without even seeing a mori be used...however keys can give entire games with of benefits and on top of it all ignores the egc mechanic nearly entirely when the killer finds the black lock first...cant be unfair and just strip moris of use when statistically keys are just as strong if not stronger..just my thoughts anyway

  • These are from..2 or 3 dev streams ago? Devs showed off some of their statistics..they also showed usages of moris based on killer, killer performances both top 3 and bottom 3 etc..you can see for yourself if you look back a bit

This is true. If something is a little weak, that's okay. We can always buff it up until it's in a good spot (Pop Goes The Weasel is a good example of that). If something is overpowered, then everyone gets frustrated while playing against it until it is nerfed, and then more people are frustrated that we nerfed it.

To give an example, compare the outrage from Pop Goes The Weasel to Mettle of Man.

There's also something said about making a killer that breaks the game. To use the example of a killer that can destroy walls (which was actually a prototype way back), that can be a very dangerous thing to do. It can be ridiculously powerful, but then you also run into the issue of "How do you balance it?" If the power breaks the game, you often can't balance it in a way that's fun without making it weak or frustrating to use.

No disrespect sir..but the last three killers kind of just..died off mostly because they were left underpowered..its been months since the plague was even mentioned..the thing is saying things like this is just that..talk..not to sound ignorant but the killer players are losing faith because every time something even tiny changes gameplay wise, killers foot the bill...(pig with the egc, enduring for convenience, gf due to not waiting and seeing how things went in live) and yet even tiny things like a thanantaphobia buff seem near impossible for us to get

  • Thana could use a buff..they should have buffed it when they last tested it, pressure perks like thana and pop goes the weasel are genius for rewarding high tier gameplay without benefitting campers and they should really cherish these

  • @Oneblacktophat said:

OoO should stay the same and should work on all killers, giving the survivor the ability to look and see where the killer is and the killer seeing them too, is already a big gamble, why would a survivor want to run OoO just so the killer can find them but, they can't see the killers that doesn't make any sense, if you give ghostface the ability not to be seen by OoO, then other stealth main Killers like pig and wraith are going to want the same, and it just leaves the survivor defenseless with a perk that can't even be used only if they were out of stealth mode.

Stealth killers should be stealthy..otherwise theres no point to them...no 1 perk should fully counter a killer

  • @[Deleted User] said:

noed is for bad killers that cannot secure their kills during the 5 gens + end game period.

and it boosts them to purple/red ranks

    change my mind

Survivors only get to red ranks due to an abundance of broken addons and perks plus a hatch for free escape half the time..change my mind..

Seriously though...if you want less noed..convince the devs for more viable killers..you ironically complain about something you bring upon yourselves

Yes let's throw all totem perks down the drain by adding information to survivors that even the killer doesnt get without a perk-_- can you at least try to be non partisan?

  • You mean how survivors get rewarded for playing poorly ? (Hatch, keys)
