I may be repeating others sentiments (and some of what I might think "unpopular" might not actually be), but here goes:
1) While the ability of Boons to continuously be relit is, IMO, bad balance design, I actually don't have problems with COH (or any boons) in the vast majority of my matches, and the changes made to COH make it a perk I can work around almost all of the time.
2) While I hate going up against a Bully squad that displays BM'ing or poor sportsmanship (though I love when those squads end up all dead on a hook), I DO like going against sabo/flashlight squads in general. Both flashlights and sabo are game mechanics, and if I go against a really good team that plays that strategy well, then it's a challenge I welcome. Usually, over-altruism ends up being the death of them. I think there's a difference between a team using that strategy to try and win, and a team using that strategy to try and bully an overmatched opponent to get their laughs.
3) I actually have come to like playing on RPD, either as a killer or survivor. It's a gorgeous map, and now that I've started to learn the layout, I don't have the issues I did with it when it first went live. Other than the well-documented issues with the library and lack of hooks there, when that map ends up in my match, I'm fine with it either way.
4) Speaking of indoor maps, I miss Hawkins. I hate seeing ANY content removed from the game, and while I couldn't stand Hawkins when I first started playing DBD, I came to know the map well over time and was fine with it in either role.
5) The game's balance isn't as bad as people make it out to be. There are plenty of issues, 100%, that need to be addressed (buffing solo survivor, buffing certain killers and the killer QOL in general, and something to address the elephant in the room of the advantage of playing SWF), but I rarely feel completely overwhelmed in either role, and my results are solid in both. I enjoy the game, and I'd make the argument that it's in a better place than it was when I started during Chains of Hate (other than the hacking, which is something that NEEDS to be addressed).
6) I enjoy playing killer, and I don't feel the dislike I know so many people do in the role. That may be a "me" thing -- I like playing iconic horror movie characters, I enjoy the wide range of powers, I enjoy always having something to do (unlike playing survivor, which can get more tedious after a while). While I think QOL issues with the killer role need to be addressed, I don't think it's as bad as some people make it out to be.
7) DBD may not be a "competitive" game, but I don't mind admitting to being competitive when I'm playing -- and I don't think anything is wrong with that. Playing fair (as in, no cheats or hacks) and trying to have fun doesn't mean not trying to win. I try to win every match I play, either as killer or survivor. If I do, that's great, and if I don't, it's okay -- you don't win all of the time. Being a gracious winner and a good sport when losing is more paramount to me than anything else in a match.
8) I don't have an issue with people running "meta" builds on either side. The perks are there -- use them! For the most part, I don't think there are any perks on either side that are so OP that they need to be changed dramatically (Dead Hard is probably the closest "problematic" perk I can think of. The constant posts of people wanting to nerf [insert name of perk here] always strike me as people simply complaining instead of adapting to something challenging to face.
9) I don't think any killer needs nerfs (though some could use QOL buffs). When I play survivor, I LIKE going against a really good Nurse or Blight. It's a challenge, and escaping against one feels better than 4-outing a 1-perk Trapper with 10 hours in the game.
10) SBMM doesn't work -- or at least not the way it should -- but everyone forgets how BAD the matchmaking was before it was implemented. There was literally multiple threads on here every day about mismatches and people who wanted to give up playing because of them. The biggest problem is with the imbalance of people in either role at a given time and the prioritizing of queue times above everything else during those times. What we have now isn't better than what we had, but it's not necessarily worse either.
On point 2 I like going against that when they aren't bming it offers a nice challenge and a change of pace

You do you I guess although you'll eventually inflate your mmr doing that and get people who won't fall for basement camping
-
Also the prime charm being something St Patrick's day pretty much and not being Easter themed lol

- The general design of boon totems is a big problem, not just COH. They need some baseline changes or the perks will never be able to be good without being broken.
- Detective’s Hunch is lowkey busted.
- The game could use an entire chapter focused only on game health and QoL updates that has no new killer or any other new content.
- Deathslinger is mostly fine now. He just needs his smaller TR back.
- The changes to Spirit overall were handled well and her basekit is fine. She just needs some addons changed.
- Gen regression perks for killer and things that speed up gens for survivor should both eventually be nerfed after basekit regression is slightly more impactful and the early game gets revisited to help prevent corrupt from feeling as necessary as it currently is.
- Artist is fun to play and play against.
I agree with deathslinger he's still fine to play in my opinion it's just that monitor and abuse feels mandatory now
-
It's ok I guess although smart people will figure it out that you have lightborn the first blind attempt then it's just a wasted perk slot

One of the big things that puts me off is the attitude of the streamers/their chats
Be it they can't take criticism, their chats encourage a very hostile environment (Insulting the streamers opponents, encouraging them to BM and so on) and generally the arrogance of many of the DBD content creators. For some it's no longer just playing a video game to entertain, it's about proving they are better than everyone else or something like that
The only DBD content I watch these days is stuff like Benjo, dumb clips that showcase the funny moments of the game instead of the frustrating.
Maybe it's just me though, I'm sure not everybody sees it that way.
Agree

Hmm
1) STBFL may be one of my fav perks but I don't like how trivial it makes camping, many killers who I see using it will secure stacks early on then use it to make hook trading for someone being camped impossible
2) I don't think basekit BT is as completely necessary as some people make it out to be, although I can def see why some people want it.
3) Map RNG is probably one of the biggest factors in deciding which side wins a match. Certain realms are more guilty of this problem than others
4) DBD content on YT/Twitch has gotten incredibly stale even though I still enjoy playing the game myself. I feel like there's too much whinging going on to simply enjoy watching.
Definitely a good point there dbd has been boring to watch since the silent hill chapter tbh
-
- Deathslinger is still fun to play strength low after his nerfs? well yeah
- Lerys is the most balanced map imo unless of course you are a power like hillbilly or blight lol
- Legion is fun to play against
- Infectious fright is unhealthy
-
Honestly I really like the map as killer sometimes not breaking a wall can screw you over because of bad hooks spawns
And having all the safe pallets broken benefits you I don't know why but people always use the god pallet entering the stairs like 30 seconds into the match
-
For the most part slug unless it's like a very obvious decisive
I just find it absolutely boring to play that way
-
When I actually play to win this is what I use
-
Oh yeah pretty easy games as the artist atleast it allows me to learn how to play her lol
-
some people definitely over exaggerate it but I can definitely sympathize for people who don't like playing against her

It's a bit more than that.
- I see people turn TVs off sometimes. The problem is that there's zero threat to doing this - if you cleanse a Demo portal, you're Oblivious and he can detect you. Pinhead - Oblivious+teleport. Pig's traps - ...Pig sucks.
- The rest of her kit sucks too. Her stealth sucks. Her 'flickering' is mostly useless.
Turning off TV's? that's something you can do?
-
I really hope they listen considering all sides of the coin have a negative opinion about mmr
-
Well hey back at the year 5 anniversary dead hard was actually unusable on console lol
-
Eh you do you I don't do it but if I do go against it I just kill myself and go on to the next match
-
This is why I wish they would add a surrender button for killers my god it is absolutely boring getting a afk killer it's just do 5 gens leave
Very engaging gameplay while with a surrender button they could just end it instantly no harm no foul
-
The hillbilly challenges are the only ones I haven't done lol
-
Sad how they keep doing this
No wonder people constantly suck up to the meta
-
People get pretty weird about flashlights even flashlights at pallets are a bad thing according to them
-
I saw a lot of killer DCs yesterday
-
2715 hours
I play survivor a 90/10 split
I only play killer for bloodpoints
-
First ever screenshot was that weird glitch where models would become enlarged
-
Personally I wish they would introduce a distraction point score in all categories so if you get facecamped from first hook you atleast die with some bloodpoints
-
? It's fine I have no issues with it
But on the hand dead man's switch is just annoying now lol
-
If it was cgi like the cgi resident evils then sure
-
I support it dsync has made me miss ds sometimes
-
115% sounds like a bad idea there's a reason why those killers are slow with the way their power works
-
The mentality should stop on both sides
It just leads to people being salty expecting wins every match
-
Ah that's a shame I found this late wanted to answer
-
Ash
He has the most situational perks in the game if you ask me and new players will not use them
-
how did you get skilled huntress
That achievement has a 0.05% completion rate on xbox
-
Personally I would prefer if they buffed hatch to atleast a 2 escape nothing more nothing less
-
I personally wish they would've stopped with the exposed add on its bad
most survivors from my experience use vaccines when injured anyway
-
I look more foward to them for perk buffs
Disappointed that this mid chapter is just 2 survivor perk nerfs although hemorrhage buff is nice
-
I play against her all the time
It's kinda annoying playing against the same killer like 6 games in a row
-
I definitely recommend playing other killers
-
Boons are a pretty good concept it just that's the execution with circle of healing being overpowered and then having absolutely pointless dark theory
-
It'll be pointless after a week in overwatch no one actually cares about endorsements you just do it for an extra 300 xp every game oh and you get an extra 2 lootboxes every week
-
Yesterday
I liked the complete randomness that I got although it was annoying when I tried adept clown

They should at least do something else with keys. After hatch nerf I've seen just 1 survivor that had a key (which he couldn't even use that game). That's 1 key in like 1000+ games...
They should've gave more charges to keys because the other intended usage (aura add ons) it's just not worth it
-
Honestly the map reworks didn't help
Something around the resident evil chapter just made this game awful
-
@Marigoria said:
It needs to activate after both hooks, that's the only change it needs.
Would be a nice change
-
Decisive is completely balanced it's fine anyone complaining about it at this point I just ignore
-
They are afraid of scaring people who get mad at a number going minus
-
@GentlemanFridge said:
Apparently, the game doesn’t wait until all players have loaded to actually start the match. Dunno why.
I've actually had it load into a game once where a huntress was already taking me to a hook
-
@humanbeing1704 said:
Oh yeah I narrate the game completely pretty sure the people I live with think I'm a nutjob
I could totally be some generic youtuber but I speak in monotone pretty much
-
@Nicholas said:
The Hatch changes were overkill. The current hatch experience sometimes creates too much hopelessness and inevitability very early on, which isn't good for the game. Other pain points are gates that spawn too close or are easily visible from a vantage point that often feels despairing.
The nerfs to hatch keys and mori's just felt like oh crap overpowered just nerf them into dumpster tier so no one cares anymore
-
Honestly only do it on licensed characters where you can't buy cosmetics with shards
That's just the way I see it
