I saw a guy who used to host 24x7 UMvC3 lobbies playing it and decided it looked like a lot of fun.
-
I would like to see Autodidact guarantee the first two skill checks at 50% and 75% of the first full heal you perform.
For killers make monstrous shrine spawn a second set of basement hooks outside the basement.
-
Suck it up, buttercup. No need to screw over 3 other people when you’ll be out of the trial in 10 minutes. If you ‘just hate doing generators’ you should play killer or find another game. Maybe some Civ 5?
-
It’s very strong on killers with good mobility, but has very reasonable counter play. No need for a nerf IMO. If anything I’d like to see a WGLF buff to give survivors a comparable BP bonus perk.
-
Something about a killer based on a Disney theme park ride just doesn’t do it for me.
-
I was positive Doctor was OP because I couldn’t hide from him.
-
I want to like it so bad. There’s no debating it’s a good perk once you get to 5 stacks; it’s getting to 5 stacks that’s the problem. In red rank games the killers apply pressure too fast for the perk to be good. When the pressure isn’t overwhelming it feels like only 1 of every 3 games give enough skill checks during healing to really benefit from the perk.
-
I have had to stop running it since dedicated servers have been live. In killer hosted games it used to be like one in every 100 dead hards would apply exhausted (indicating I used it in time) but would still give the killer a hit. On dedicated servers it’s almost every other time I try to use dead hard.
-
I think what it comes down to with Spirit is that, almost like Nurse, she is able to completely ignore the basic game mechanics to a certain degree. That’s really frustrating to play against. The obvious advice is to get good and run better perks, but in the right hands she just feels completely unbeatable. I also disagree with the notion that she takes a lot of skill to play. She’s one of the easiest killers to consistently do very well with.
-
Gas heaven, both swamp maps, creek, and abattoir are all even in my opinion. Really good list though!

That is my point, if the objectives are equal then the game is not. As it's one person vs four. If the one's objective is equal to theirs it's unbalanced.
You didn’t read the post. They should FEEL EQUAL (not BE EQUAL) given the power discrepancy. The game is asymmetrical; the objectives can’t be equal by definition.

Yes, I understand fine. It's you who don't. The one's objective should be easier than the many's objective.the one has only themselves, the many has their objectives being worked on by multiple people. That is how you balance the power role vs the team role. It's not hard to understand. After this I'm done. Because you will either understand how the roles work or you won't.
TLDR; the Team should not have the easier objevtive as it skews the balance heavily in their favor.
Neither side should have an easier objective. The objectives should feel equal (balanced), given the power discrepancy between the one and the many. Again, you’re just illustrating a lack of understanding.

Lol, no. You guys are hung up thinking it's the survivor's fault. No, it's the fact that the gens can be done so quickly that is the problem. Objectives are not balanced. survivors have an objective spread out amongst 4 people. The Killer is alone. Yet the killer is required to hook people 3 times (at least they are intended to) a hooked survivor takes longer to die than it takes a gen to get done.
Annnnd we’re full circle to my first comment about people not understanding asymmetrical multiplayer games. Your comment solidifies the point I was making.

You can absolutely rush primary objectives lol. This idea that survivors have "it's my objective" does not mean it cannot be rushed. Your objective in Mario 64 was to collect stars and defeat Bowser. Some people take days/weeks/months to do this others do it in minutes. They rush through the objective, it's colloquially known as "speed running".
Gen rushing is absolutely real.
The point I’m making is that it’s silly to assume the survivors wouldn’t do the gens as fast as possible. Of course they will! In what case relevant to this game would the survivors not do the gens as fast as possible to escape the trial? Gen rush is a stupid, irrelevant term used to make it seem like survivors are being ######### for trying to escape.

"Did you write it down?"
"No."
What is this, the Magic Arena forums?
Wow, got ‘em. This is quote of the week for General Discussion. Maybe the whole month.

DCs are way less of an issue at red ranks. All the sweaty nerds care about the pips (including me!!). Anyways, it was just supposed to be a fun question, not a solution to the overall DC problem. Which, by the way, I think has been around unpunished for far too long.
-
So here’s a question: would you rather play at green/yellow ranks where everyone DCs or red/purple ranks where we’re all super sweaty? Not being rhetorical; genuine question.
-
I’d say Dying Light since Billbo typically doesn’t struggle with getting hooks because of his chainsaw.

That’s hilarious! She does look a little funny from some angles when you’re repairing gens or opening the gates.

Ouch, that’s tough. Too bad it’s so much effort for such a small change.

I seriously don't get why anyone would want to go back to red ranks asap,
especially right after reset,
all you would get is just insanely long queue time and nurse & spirit,
then they probably complain why they only see nurse spirit every games after.
dumbest thing you can do in this game
More comments about red ranks from people who don’t actually play there. Why is it so common for people to comment about red ranks when it’s obvious they don’t know what they’re talking abkhy?
-
Using the term ‘gen rush’ as if it’s not the primary objective for survivors makes me think you’re not very experienced and/or don’t really understand the game.

If you play the game, you can litterally observe it yourself. No need to be confirmed.
The point of the post is to say FROM WHAT I OBSERVE, the skillchecks feel more consistent on the dedicated servers. Not sure what your comment is trying to add?

@joker7997 said:
No, things like skill checks are handled on your own client, I believe. Ive never had lag affect my ability to hit skill checks, unless im staring at how much the killer is ping ponging around and it distracts me.
Where is this confirmed? Maybe you’re right, but I’m seeing a very noticeable difference.

Wow, 10/10 meme theme build!!

What's "Focused"? I genuinely did not know there was a perk called that.
I’m a dummy and called Fixated Focused

Kate has the best fingernail game out of the survivors. Nancy is a cool character in Stranger Things and Natalia Dyer is easy on the eyes.

Calm spirit is a great stealth perk, stops you from screaming from doctor shocks, no cough from clown, no crows, so handy for staying hidden, its such an under utilized perk
Do you know if it stops the coughing and vomiting from plague?

I love everything about this post except the P3 Feng.

As Hero Dwight I run Bond, Botany Knowledge, and We are going to Live forever.
For the 4th perk I either run Borrowed time, Kindred, Leader, or Resilience.
My goal is to save and heal and to assist the team as much as possible.
Escape is a bonus but not my goal. Bloodpoints are the goal and I usually make 30k plus BP with this build as long as I am not tunneled out quickly.
I love the Hero builds. I’m still running Autodidact for healing because I want it to be a good perk SO BAD!!!
-
I’d say it’s on par with lithe and balanced. Those 3 have utility outside of a chase in that you can use them to cover distance on the map. None are as good as DH in a chase, but maybe the utility balances them all out.
-
The only frustrating thing that has happened more than once for me is using Dead Hard and still getting hit. I hardly notice any difference playing killer. Servers seem mostly okay for me.

Well yeah obviously you have to be injured first. What I mean by that is let’s say you are going against infinite tier 3 Mikey, and you have the purple insta, as it works now if you used it it’s not going to help you since being fully healthy doesn’t help against insta downs, but the new version will give you endurance which will prevent you from going down. (Yes I know it’s only 15 seconds but still)
Sure, that’s a good specific scenario where it’s better. But I still see a lot of people just repeating “it counters insta-downs” when that’s not really the case.

actually that isn't the case . just because a term has been perverted by moder conventions doesn't mean that is its original or intended meaning . This hold true for a lot of terms and words throughout history . If you dont believe me look at a old kids cartoon called the flintstones , whats the last line of the song , "well have a gay old time" . Does that fit with todays meaning of a word and im sure you can easily figure out what one .
At some point free to play and free play got merged into something else , but free to play originaly meant as it says no cost to play , while free play means no cost play or everything free .
Sorry but I don’t agree. Free to play hasn’t had a change in meaning. Neither has gay for that matter. You’re not using the term correctly.
-
@PrincessPoop said:
The purple add on will actually counter insta down killers now. I can think of so many situations where I would rather have endurance than be fully healthy, even if it’s just for 15 seconds
No it won’t. Not sure why everyone is saying this. You can’t use a medkit unless you’re injured, so you’re not going to be able to apply the styptic agent to avoid the instant downs. Unless you’re already injured.
-
The irony in making a post with this title and then not knowing what free to play means is so strong.
-
I’m doing the same thing a lot of other already mentioned - just buying BP with them.

I sadly disagree, Try as you might at the high ranks, Clown Simply can't compete even with his best add-ons. His overall lack of map pressure, just can't compete with a gen rush meta team no matter how swiftly you end a chase with him. This is the inherent problem with killers:
If they can't apply adequate pressure to slow down the gen progress with their abilities, they will always lose at the high ranks.
That's not to say they aren't fun to play, because at low-mid ranks they can seem very viable, but when they are put up against the best the community has to offer, they simply can't compete on the same level.
Nurse, Spirit, and Hillbilly have that competitive edge in their base kit, which is what makes the "viable" in comparison. It's not that it makes getting kills easier, its that it makes their ability to kill while applying map pressure less of a frustrating or impossible endeavor.
I’m not saying clown is at the same level as spirit and billy. I’m saying he doesn’t auto-lose to good survivors as the community would have everyone believe. He can shut be oppressive (not just viable, oppressive) with the right add ons and a balanced map.
-
No, they’re not the only ‘viable’ red rank killers. Good killer players make everyone work at red ranks.
-
Another post about red ranks by someone who has no idea what they’re talking about.

The servers were choppy and felt bad betweem 5p and 7p eastern US time last night. I've played some games this morning and they're noticeably better, presumably because it's not peak hours. Similar problem that a lot of other multi-player games have; server performance takes a dip during peak hours.
