Haha, really? Is that a real in-game lore justification? I've never gone too deep there, but that's hilarious.
Why do you think so?

It would add more realism to the game if all four players were copies of the same person more often?
Entity makes multiple copies of survivors, according to the lore.
-
Yeah but the only problem is gonna be that everyone is gonna play as Claudette (Which i don't mind at all <3 i love her and i main her btw) and Meg.Which will give the killers even BIGGER frustration than with what they have to deal with right now.It is a cool idea and it would add more realism to the game.
-
When a big buff man is walking towards you with a knife you kind of forget everything right?
-
Yes the killers were indeed once people in the real world.
When a survivor gets drained of all hope they become a husk and become no use for the entity so they get thrown into the void with all the failed killers and other husk survivors.

Wrong. One of Ash's screams lasts for 8 seconds and one of Detective Tapp's screams last for a whopping 13 seconds
13 seconds really?I'll have to check him out.

you do know the scream at the very start is meg, right?
claudette doesnt scream - she gets grabbed and hooked out of nowhere and just looks at her shoulder in terror, shock and disbelieve, which makes it much better than any of the screams you hear ingame imo.
its way more realistic.
Yes i know that the scream at the start is Meg's scream. When Claudette gets hooked there is some kind of scream which doesn't belong to Claudette and neither Jake.Btw the hook impale sound in that intro sounds way better than the one ingame i just noticed that.
-
@Mister_xD said:
claudette in the trailer that plays when the game starts
That scream is crap and doesn't even sound like her.

No, definitely not..
Bill, Ash, David and Jeff outclass her by miles
Yeah David and Ash got pretty good screams aswell. But i don't think any survivor scream lasts longer than that one Claudette hook scream.Correct me if i'm wrong.

Some of the time if i rush to my pc, i take a sharp turn and hit my leg bone (Tibia) at the corner of my bed.And the corner of that one side of my bed is VERY VERY VERY sharp and the pain is something i never wish for anyone to go through even once, and this comes from a person who has done it more than3 or 4 times.

Stop with a ptb just for PC, I want this on console if not don't make a ptb it's just unfair
The game was originally never ment to be for console. It came out on other platforms because they were many suggestion and it would help the player base grow.So you should be grateful that this game is on the platform you own.Devs are hard at work and can't make everyone happy.People have been playing this game for 3 years on pc so please be respectful to us and the devs.

Pig charge time and range, but control like Billys chainsaw.
And map pressure with holes.
And this can be destroyed by survivors.
Now I want know the addons, because this sounds underwhelming weak.
The artists made a great job, but this power is.....weak without addons.
Because survivors can control your map pressure.
Doesn't the demogorgon get a notification if the survivors are messing with his portal?Plus the once the survivors start to ruin his portals they can't hear the heartbeat. Can't just the killer tp to the portal they are trying to close?

I know a lot of people won't agree with me but I don't like the idea of it not being human.
I just think the design is ridiculous and not at all scary. The other killers are at least somewhat unnerving because they are human in appearance. Their threat feels more real if you get what I mean. When I look at The Demogorgon it just looks ridiculous and contrived. I don't feel at all threatened or unnerved by it. The whole flower-esque head and monstrous body stand out to me in Dead by Daylight, I don't feel scared by what obviously isn't real. Whereas other killers, (like The Trapper for example) have the physique of real people. Their characters have so much more depth:
- They were visibly people once who were forced into The Entity's realm
- They stand out compared to The Entity as evidently human, showing that they don't fully belong in The Entity's twisted world
- They are more menacing as their design is more realistic
I disagree highly with the 'design is ridiculous and not at all scary'.When i saw the trailer i didn't think much of it, but when i saw the dlc screenshots on steam it disturbed me.It's posture and the way it has its hands down and the closed up head.Imo it will be by far the creepiest looking killer, well for now.
-
@Springey said:
We could take it as that: Killers and Survivors we play currently, are there in the realm and when new killers and survivors come out, they came into the realm as soon as we can play them.
Or
Everyone already is in the real but we are only able to play as a few of them, because they haven't been added yet.
I'm pretty sure it's the second one.
The second option. They have all always been there from the start when the game was released even if we don't get to see them as of now.(talking about future and present survivors and killers)
-
Sorry i wanted to say the i doubt that the devs will leave archives as soon as they get it done with the og survivor lore.
-
Yeah.People were complaining that the game was too dark/not bright enough and most killers couldn't see and spot survivors you know who i'm talking about.Thats why they removed the moon bouquet because it messed with the maps lightning and it was impossible for killers to see anything. So they removed the whole dark and eerie atmosphere of the game.It really does suck but you can use filters to mess with your own game if you have an nvidia gpu.

I certainly hope so. It would be such a disappointment, and mistake, to hype up such a cool new, long overdue feature, and not deliver in full.
Now watching the year 4 video i really feel like they will put those animated imagery and not CGI that i hoped for....But even if they do it like this, i don't really care.I am not for some CGIs after all.The most i want from the archives is a good, well structured and interesting lore.

Proofs? I havent heard of cutscenes anywhere
Check out the vid on yt from dead by daylight's official channel for year 4 - dev diary. And skip until you get to the archives.Dave explained it there.

Game wise, it would be unfair.Lore wise, so the survivors have more hope?

Oh absolutely not
The killers could never take over a city a small town sure but the moment a proper response like SWAT or even the National Guard came in they'd be bloody destroyed
Yeah it's highly unlikely that the killers would be able to take over a big city but we still don't know how much the entity can strengthen them.
-
@CoffengMin said:
imagine what you said as the last chapter, a destroyed city with entity claws all over as the map with big builidings and stuff
That is what i'm hoping for.
-
@BlueFang said:
Considering the entity's minions can be hurt and defeated by running in a circle with a pallet
Good gravy the absolute salughter they would recieve in the real world would be sad
I was not talking about the killers.Plus if this game was realistic or any other horror survival game in that sense the survivors would be screwed. The killers are given superhuman strength and reflexes by the entity. So yeah the killers would be more than enough to take over a city, then again i was not talking about the killers being entitys minions which they are but my point was not them.

In Benedicts Journal he writes this: "Once again, I had found a place touched by the darkest of evils, so powerful that it spread like a virus in the area, consuming the world around it, rotting the core from within. The locals of Wetherfield would not discuss or talk further of the town of Weeks. The locals acted like the sort of thing you would see in your weekly Penny Dreadful, their eyes wild with terror. What happened here?"
This shows us that Benedict knows a bit of the Entity after he researched a lot and that others that work like he did could learn about the Entity
In the paragraph he also says the local didn't want to talk about the town of Weeks they are afraid to talk about the topic what lets us guess that they know that something strange is happening there.
The town of Weeks would make for a great map tbh.And yeah the locals probably think the town is cursed and ruled by some demonic possession. But it is normal for people to go missing in towns right? But it is not normal for people to disappear without a trace in towns who are no longer functioning and are dried of human presence. So the town really is abandoned?

We don't know what the time conversion would be. I mean, a survivor could experiance a decade of pain, but then it's found to be a year. I mean, it's fascinating that the entity can pull people from all times, and that people perceive them arriving at certain times... There is so much we don't know. Hopefully Archives will expand on this to a degree.
Do you have any idea of when the Archives are going live?

There was a time when memory and cases made sense for most of the cosmetics, but some of them seem very unfitting (why does Claudette have so many party outfits?).
The entity can create multiple copies of survivors.Every outfit is for a different Claudette from another universe. The original version of her is nerdy and shy and the other ones (based on her bright and colourfull outfits) seems to me that she maybe likes attention and is probably pretty outgoing and an open person. That is how i see it.

I've been playing survivor for 3 years and it has never lost the magic for me.Everything in this game is perfect besides the bugs, the fresh new killers who almost can't make it trough the first week and get nerfed because of low rank players complains, hitboxes and the balance which has gotten better overtime. But i do enjoy a great killer game as well!

Deathgarden is a separate universe, the entity has nothing to do with it
It's lore is basically that after a war there are two sides, the rich and the poor, Deathgarden is basically set during a trial for poor people to get the right to go to the rich people's city
The entity can roam around and capture people from different universes. That explains why Bill is here.

Yeah, Nea could gain knowledge of the future and that could affect future releases. I'm not super up to date with the lore. Does deathgarden take place after dead by daylight? Is the present their present or does it take place in the past technically? Maybe we could get a robot survivor.
judging by DG intro there seem to be modern buildings and vehicle, also the tech seems wayyyy ahead of our time, almost alien-like.

Deathgarden is very different from DbD. Hunters there are an actual threat, for starters. If you get caught, you'll most likely die, period. The gameplay also features high mobility.
Personally, I think it's a fun game.
From what i have seen it's kind of a more fast paced dead by daylight with guns. The whole idea of the game is similar to dead by daylight.Multiple survivors trying to survive against a blood thirsty killer.

I had an iphone 6s that was before i sold it last week.Even if you got 50-60 fps on the mobile version i don't know how the phone will handle heat and most importantly battery drain. The battery on the 6s is it's biggest problem and one of the reasons i sold my phone.

I see her as a good girl who went bad because her life as she knew it was turned upside down once away from her friends.
That anger eventually led her to becoming something monstrous.
Just kidding, she just went to the wrong place to tag with her art.
There is a theory that states she didn't wake up at the campfire because of her rude habit to tag abandoned buildings, but because she was the one who burned down the Crotus Prenn Asylum.

Please stop, this meme is dead and cringe in the first place. And yes i do get jokes, not this one tho.

When the new archives come out we will probably have a better understanding as they expand the backstory of every survivor and killer.

I agree every map looks muddy and to be honest ugly. I don't know why but they went a bit overboard with the grungy atmosphere to the point where everything kind of blends into one overall color.
They did say they're going to be redoing assets and lighting in the map reworks, hopefully they sort it out.
For real?Got any source?

It will inevitably get worse as more and more cosmetics get added, games such as Team Fortress 2 received graphical downgrades as more items began taxing the system. I can see DBD following a similar path if the devs keep emphasizing wacky cosmetics over sticking to it's original art-style.
Why are the cosmetics the problem tho?

For real. People act like there aren't 6900 pallets on 90% of the maps. You can straight up camp and drop pallets on most maps and be fine if teammates are actually doing gens.
The problem is that survivors don't do generators in P. matches (Not saying all, but there is a pretty good portion of them EVEN at red ranks) and looping and abusing T walls is the only thing left against an experienced killer.
