I also encountered this bug: no loss of distorsion token (got all of them) in the exit gate area while the killer brought BW perk in the trial
-
This bug still persists in 2023!
Besides, how do you allow people being tormented when the killer manually drops them in the goop (no counterplay to that)
I dont care about DS tbh, but the manual drop of survivors in the goop to torment them should not be allowed (few iframe seconds should prevent it)
@Devs: How do you do not understand how broken this bug is: survivors are virtually dead once tormented!
- tormented survivor (sometimes undeserved because of random bugs or exploits)
- hooked survivor, then tunneling of freshly unhooked injured survivor
- caging the survivor
- go to cage area and killer always knows more or less its location
- tunneling of still injured guy after uncaging (no time for healing, even with well make it most of the time)
- hooking of survivor bypassing every protection perk -> death and easy 3vs1
This full list of events can be done in1 #### minute on a small map!

I say sometimes "BabyMeg" for rookies 😅

The DbD playerbase has a deep and stong emotional link with all these lovely strategies 🤗

Lightborn, the best way to say to survivors: "hey, stop wasting your time looking for a potential flash save and just be the regular efficient gen #########" 👌

I enjoy a lot the threads with obvious and pathetic bad faith from either stubborn killer mains or stubborn survivor mains, haha
-
While the perk can be used on chased survivor-A, when survivor-B triggered it few second before at the other side of the map (e.g. typical scenario with Plague), this proposed nerf will never be made by devs.

Small player-base region = no servers for this region
This is real world. BHVR is a company. It is how it is!

Or there could be a number next to the portrait next to the Killer portrait. That number shows how further down in the queue you'll be pushed if you select the Killer being overplayed.
Also, there could be 200% or 300% bonus for playing Killers that aren't touched.
Good idea at first glance ... but Hag and Twins players do not DESERVE any BP buffs ...

... but she is the single Queen 😄

I think that devs will nerf Call of Brine in the coming patches
Same logic than previous S:PR nerf (from "slowdown/reg + detection" features to pure "slowdown/reg" perk)
Besides, in current Call of Brine (CoB) state, there is no real point running the Surveillance perk (from a paid DLC)
Thus, I expect that devs will 100% remove the booom notification feature from CoB perk.

You are not supposed to bring purple/pink items/add-ons in most matches, on both sides.
Not even a big deal, as lots of brown/yellow/green items are still interesting on most characters.
However, you can still bring high rarity items/add-ons every game, but you need to make a choice: you need to dump all your BPs on a very small pool of characters.
This new system is P E R F E C T for this!

Doin' gen, you?

Back in the days, you needed to finish few gens for the hatch to spawn.
I did not know this condition, so I was systematically looking for the hatch - even at 5 gens remaining - while playing Claudette with the darkest clothes and on ultra-stealth mode, haha

Take a look at this guy: https://www.twitch.tv/esskay_
Very good GF main
Besides, he plays unusual slowdown-free aura-reading-free build (mainly Agi + STBFL + PWYF) and still manages to win most of his games, using sneaky and efficient stalking

Im liking the new changes to the game, especially to how they kept Nurses power the same with her nerf. We'll see if the new soloque info icons will help with Eruption, but I have my doubts. I think the perk is too strong.
Yeah, this is mindblowing!

There are times when I wish we didn't move to Dedicated Servers.
I swear I have had more issues with laggy Killers since the swap.
I feel the same ... because I used to DODGE high ping killers, which is not possible anymore lol
-
Yes, DbD is the single game that will reward players with terrible pings, especially on killer side
If you play any FPS game with huge ping, you will miss every HS, and even may be dead before you can shot lol
In DbD, high-ping killers will get several generous hits in every single match (during both vaulting "windows/dropped pallets" actions) and this is already game-changing by itself.
Over the years, only the pallet stun has been slightly addressed (still non-optimal) to punish high ping killers
Tbh, I hardly ever had issues on killer side with high ping survivors (since lag-switching exploit has been fixed!) ; they often give free hits or even DC from the game after licking a wall for 5 sec, lol.
To conclude: yes, huge ping players (>80ms) must be punished, very hard, especially when they play ranged killers
-
She will still be #1 killer by design, but these nerfs are healthy for the game. Good move from the devs!

Survivors 3 genning themselves is entirely the survivors fault, and Deja Vu can help against that.
What is being talked about here is when from the start of the game a killer (very often The Knight, but not always), sits in an area probably no bigger than 10% of the entire map that contains 3 generators and refuses to leave it for anything. Deja Vu won't help you in this situation! The game will end after an hour when the lobby auto closes, or when the survivors get so bored that they simply can't be bothered any more, normally around the 45 minute mark, unless they are super masochistic!
It's happening more and more by the day and together with the awful servers right now in the UK, the game isn't fun for anyone here at the moment.
^, Yes!
In this case, the Deja Vu perk will only reveal you - from the start - the annoying drag out strategy from the killer (constant TR in very small area of the map, kicking back all possible gens after 10 sec chases)
Alternatively, the Alert perk can also reveal this strategy very early in the game
Once Eruption perk is confirmed, you simply do this:
- you press escape, then
- you click on disconnect with the left mouse button
- you take the small 1min penalty (because you hardly ever DC in usual games)
- you move to next game
If you are still not convinced that this is the smartest move to do (esp in soloQ games), watch this YT movie from Hens
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vv3I9hHLblEFinally, it is very easy to do/replicate, and this is the worst part, period!
-
No, I will not play DbD if I can't throw a rock to the killer's face!
-
The more skilled you are as killer, the more kills you will get on RPD, if you play with the right tools
This statement is not true on survivor-sided maps such as Badham, Eyrie, Cowshed, ...
PrettyFaceKate listed why this map is an easy 3+ kills most of the games
I would add that the the coordination of solo players must be the worst over all the available maps (tie with midwich, tbh, for the same reasons)

With your basekit Corrupt idea, in current state, what about the appealing 6 slowdowns killers:
- Pinhead (or any killer with built-in slowdown)
- Built-in Corrupt
- 4 slowdown perks
Lots of feature could be more or less basekit, esp in weaker version.
However, BHVR does need first to add perk constraints (type, points, ...) for both sides.

In soloQ games:
- if your teammate was not an ass during the game
- if more than 1 remaining gen (or 3-gen cluster)
You just look for next game asap , while denying as much as possible the 4K for the slugging killer
However, if you suspect an adept-game (<1% games), you may decide to give the killer his well-deserved adept at this point ; I would do that, tbh :)
In any other case, esp in stacked slowdowns games:
if you are slugged:
- you constantly move (no recover unless you have tenacity), telling the other player that you dont want to be saved
- game will be done for you after 4minutes, avoiding the unnecessary extra-time (save, slug, resave, reslug, ...)
- if killer picks you up at the last second for "extra-saltiness" , go every time to the closest generator and start working on it (if he fails the grab, you insta bleed-out as planned)
If you are not slugged:
- you pray that the teammate will do what is described above
- you check for any hatch offering
- you slowly move on the map and avoid any crows
- you try identifying the most promising exit gate to be opened (lots of LoS, corner of map, ...)
Do not forget that the killer asked for this extension of the game, by refusing to hook people.
IF you - somehow - manage to escape, do not miss the occasion to talk in the post-game chat :)

You forgot about lockers all but lethal pursuer can be beat by lockers as well or hiding your aura behind a gen if you know the general direction the killer is in.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Devs decided to kill stealth gameplay year after year.
Always consider:
- LP at start, denying early stealth in sub-optimal area (e.g., outer border in Pale Rose)
- BBQ/S:FoR denying - more or less - stealth in the middle of game
- NWH after gen kick, denying stealth around generators (pretty huge radius)
- ...
This gameplay is dead unless:
- you already know the killer loadout (usually, lots of slowdowns)
- or you play Distorsion perk
-
You don't
Similarly, How do I counter the Knight without Shift+W ?
You don't too!
Another badly designed killer
-
This was not a big issue ... until devs decided - somehow - to create perks that reward gen-sitting with huge synergies and anti-soloq behavior
Shame on them for creating these monsters!
-
Yes
While games with any DC are not taken into account for statistics (this was obvious, but devs also mentioned it), early suicides have non-negligible impact on overall kill rates
3vs1 situation at 3+ remaining generators (even 1 generator left if oppressive killer with lots of slowdown perks) is a granted victory for the killer, unless he decides to play gentle or he made lots of mistakes.
However, I will never blame anyone, esp solo players, to commit an early suicide after they noticed that the stupidly OP and boring eruption perk was brought by the killer!
-
F2P = massive cheaters, so NO!
If you enjoy a game, you can spend a bunch of dollars (sales every 3 months) on the few licensed DLCs
In parallel, you can easily unlock the most critical non-licensed DLCs (new characters and/or perks you want) with shards in a reasonable amount of time
You just wanted to whine ...
-
Shrug too. If you want to go into that side of things, the most BM ever will - and will remain - the 4 man bleed-out while nodding for no reason.
This may be the reason why devs are thinking about the built-in unbreakable/mori mechanics (with 4-kills reward if killer manages to snowball)

So, decide to play some killer this morning - long queues so MMR was a bit borked I'm guessing.
Get a trio, all extremely good with their comp stuff in their profiles. Like...hard to even get a single hit on them good, perfectly running loops, not falling for any mindgames, nailing gens out in minutes etc.
Now, most of the time I'd be up for it - just to see how I can do. But of course I went in on my Demo, with a very meme-y build and addons, mostly doing my 'no tunnel, no camp, 2 hook everyone then start killing because I brought a flan' thing.
Ended up getting 4 hooks - 2 of which were admittedly on the non comp player and one of which was a sneaky grab thanks to a snowman. Probably could have done a little better had I been on a killer I've played more of recently and a more meta build...and on a map that isn't a Garden of Joy offering.
They were rude as anything, sort of a wasted flan with how little BP everyone got, but it is what it is.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/XT4A2VYJI8VN/smurfs.jpg
A few things to note though.
- This really does represent one of the core problems of DbD. I doubt I could have beaten them, but this was a game I lost at the selection screen.
- How I get matched up against a monster trio like this...I don't know. With how BM they were, it could be that they've smurfed their MMR down (there really should be a system to catch this) just to be butts, but I've played Demo perhaps five times in the last few months, 3 of which were losing games so it's not like that killer's MMR is super high. May just be a lobby dodge situation though, where they backfilled in.
- It's massively frustrating when you're queueing up on a silly build with an intention to have a chill game, and the other side is looking to...honestly, either stomp lowbies or sweat.
- This game is in serious need of a jerk fumigation.
- Players with Cyrillic names are a mood.
Yeah that sucks, esp for lovely chill demopuppy players
But keep in mind that, at least, killers can anticipate this kind of tough games during the lobby stage, and can either change their build/mindset or even dodge the lobby
This is not even possible for solos/duos facing the equivalent bullshit from the other side (e.g., comp blight/nurse with 3+ slowdowns - or any other OP builds - and strongest add-ons, with 99+% chance victory at the start of the game)
-
We need this 🤗 (and why not ... with the gun too)
-
First generation DS was pretty absurd too ... but only veteran players can remember it
Not a single another perk was as absurd as Eruption is, since the release of the game
This is even a fact when you add the solo-q players in the equation
-
Besides, head-on hardly ever works on laggggggy killers from Mars
-
The queen of boredom, in addition to stupid and outdated design, is and will remain the Hag, forever.

10s stun LMAOOOOOOO. So much fun. Thank you for the good laugh.
After reading your comment, I hope you have the dignity to never use the 25s stun-like-so-much-fun-for-your-opponent perk ... a.k.a. Eruption
-
Hi. No.
-
Yes, it is awful
-
The most logical move is to take the survivor off from the locker and put him on the hook, then get the deserved victory (4 kills)
Killer, while winning the game (by contrast to survivor: if he goes out of the locker, he just dies), decided to extend the game
By his stubborn choice (my guess, related to the success), the killer is 100% responsible of the unnecessary prolongation of the game
These are facts!
-
Good idea but with 15 min mark, so 19 min would become the new theoretical maximum longest match.
We don't need longer matches than this!
Who cares about escaping / dying, seriously???
At some point, we just want to move on
Finally, the BPs gain per minute becomes ridiculously low after 10-15 minutes, especially if killer fails to kill survivors / if survivors fail to escape

But then the same can be said about Survivors....Purple Toolboxes, BNP, all the Gen speed perks that synergize perfectly, the Gen Rush squads trying to get out of the match as fast as possible.....
The Devs changed all the Gen slowdown perks but never touched Survivors Gen speed perks and then added new ones to their arsenal.....
DEAL!!!
Devs remove proove + BNP + toolboxes + ... (continue the list)
AND they remove Call Brine + Eruption
The amount of ######### you can do with these 2 perks is infinite on map with 3/4 gen cluster from the start
