  • If you play on PC w/ crossplay off you might find me playing Blight, Pyramid Head, Bubba, Trapper, or Legion.

  • okay my post appeared now #########

  • Head On is a great perk and is already balanced, buffing it would screw the meta up unnecessarily. 5 seconds would turn it into a mini Decisive Strike, 3 seconds is fine imo. Imagine a survivor going into a locker with DS, stunning you, going back into it, and stunning you with head on. That's a 10 second stun time. And now watch as they use Lithe to get away while you go back and chase them, and then they hop into the hatch. Extreme punishment.

Anyways yeah I think MoM deserves a buff, dunno how it would be changed tho.

  • i love head on but god please no

  • @dspaceman20 said:

I think its fine but if it was reworked I would say limit the number of times you can use it by putting it on a token system.

3 tokens and once all the tokens are used they can't use dead hard again and permanently have the exhaustion status.

If DH gets fixed with the latency issues, I would love this change. DH is my favorite exhaustion perk to run as survivor and I think this would be healthy for the perk.

  • Let's get started!

    Survivor Items

Keys: The Weaved Ring (Very Rare) and Milky Glass (Very Rare) provide no in-game advantages, they only keep your key from disappearing after the game ends.

Flashlights: The Odd Bulb (Ultra Rare) makes your flashlight run out faster. Reliability is better than blind duration. Plus, you can blind a killer multiple times, so what's the point of this addon? It should be Rare, to be honest.

    Killer Powers

Executioner: The Obsidian Goblet (Ultra Rare) is a completely useless addon UNLESS you're going for a gimmick campy build, though Insidious would work wayyy better for that. You have to stay on a rites of judgement trail, and once the trail disappears the Undetectable status runs out. Pretty pointless tbh. His Seal of Metatron addon is pretty good though, it's basically BBQ & Chili for the cage and encourages you to cage people more. Only issue is that you have to torment survivors.

Clown: While Tattoo's Middle Finger (Ultra Rare) isn't that bad of an addon, it has no reason to be Ultra Rare, in fact, it should be Common. An aura reading addon that only lasts for 6 seconds, it'll only be somewhat useful against shack looping.

Twins: The Iridescent Pendant (Ultra Rare) is unlikely to ever work. 12 seconds of the exposed effect after crushing Victor while he is idle, in which Charlotte would probably be 32 meters away from Victor. This addon would be reasonable if the Exposed duration lasted for at least 40 seconds or more.

Cannibal: The Beast's Marks (Rare) used to be a great addon for Bubba back during his Nemesis days, but the Chili addons (duration increase each time a charge is consumed) and the Depth Gauge Rake (extra charge for the chainsaw) outclass it wayyyy too easily. You need as much duration as possible. It might be alright to use along with the Depth Gauge Rake, but using that with Award-winning Chili is def better.

  • I misread the title as Rule 34 and I got so damn confused lmao.

I wanna get these pants from the rift and then use it with default Billy cosmetics for the memes, lol.

  • You're clearly stressed out. Take a break or play another game. Get well soon.

  • I took a long break from DBD in March 2019 (after the Moonrise event) because I got bored of it. I wasn't a fan of the Legion and the Plague (thank god they gave them changes) and the game was just more stressful than it should have been. Decided to play it with friends again for the lulz in November, had lots of fun, and then started playing DBD a lot in 2020, and started buying dlc. I took a two month long break from DBD after the 4th anniversary event because I got hooked to other games, but, well, here I am now, lol. DBD is now my main game, it's just too fun and addicting to me. It's been improving, I love the Archives, it's an amazing addition since I'm into lore, plus BPs as a bonus.

It's really hard to quit this game tbh.

  • Definitely bi-yearly, as long as they push out monthly updates focusing on suggestions made by players, bug fixes, balancing, etc. Plus, by pushing out chapters every 6 months, it's fun to feel hyped lol. Maybe a licensed chapter in the middle of the year, and at the end of the year an original chapter.

  • this is the greatest post of all time

  • Try living as much as possible and run a selfish build, like Left Behind (to find hatch easily), Iron Will (to avoid being caught), an exhaustion perk (to last longer during chases), and one more perk of your choice (I would run DS but you could run Open Handed to improve Left Behind but I wouldn't recommend it). Sometimes relying on yourself is better than relying on others. Good luck out there.

  • I love the Coup de Grace change idea, but I think PGTW is fine the way it is.

  • Gonna start off by saying I love the new Clown, antidotes been helping me get some faster downs. I've considered him to be a weak B tier killer atm, but I'm leaning towards a C+.

I would have said Wraith but he has a lot of things going for him, like tricking survivors in loops for example. Wraith recently got buffed as well, and even if it's not much, it makes him true stealthy, so I'm gonna have to say Legion and Pig being in the same ladder.

While Legion does sorta have an instadown ability, you aren't always going to get all survivors injured at once. Survivors that know what they're doing will only heal each other at an appropriate time. Running Forced Penance does fix this, but survivors will split up against Legion if they're smart. HOWEVER, Also, you won't be downing anyone with your power, so you're pretty much a basic M1 killer.

If Pig didn't have her dash attack then she would be worse than Legion, but for now it's her saving grace that makes her just as good as Legion or even a bit better. The dash attack is what saves her honestly, as it can counter loops sometimes (smart survivors will just run away when she does that, though you can also fake the ambush) and can be really useful for STBFL, but then again STBFL dodging usually only works in the open, otherwise a window or pallet will screw you over. She does make a lot of use for RBTs though, forcing the survivors to waste their time on getting the trap off of their heads, which gives you time to ambush on other survivors, but she's too RNG dependent. At least Trapper has the ability to satisfy you if you end up trapping someone far away, plus the ability to instadown survivors with Trapper and block pallets and windows and all that stuff.

  • Thanks lads, I didn't think people would like my idea so I was hesitant on posting this

So, basically the only way to start a phase is to stand still in phasing mode. That would definitely remove the stand still “mind game.” This change sounds pretty good. Although, it’s proven the devs are too incompetent and this idea might be too complicated for them to handle. We can only hope though.

That is unfortunately true, I do hope the devs see this though :P

  • I really hope 360s, jukes, moonwalks and all that jazz are added back to the animation update. I know moonwalking was pretty useless but it's still goofy and I loved it. (I don't mind if moonwalking doesn't return)

  • If you have access to Undying, use it with hex perks. Undying is honestly way better than before now that you can use it with a larger variety of perks, and hell, Ruin Undying is still very good. Lullaby, Retribution and Devour Hope are also very good hex perks.

  • lol "sus" like hit video game among us sus!

    fee.jpg

Honestly though most likely a hacker. Either the spawnpoints are screwed up or you encountered the same killer thrice and they were hacking or something.

  • Thanks for replying guys, I was worried that I would be making people get banned or smth. If you guys were wondering they said that it occurs when Clown throws a bottle at a survivor.

  • DS will still work the same for its intended purpose, stop complaining.

  • Bit of extra mobility ofc (It's more effective than it looks, trust me), faster downs, baiting survivors out of loops, using them during loops to down quicker, etc.

You can down a survivor quickly if they're in the open. Throw an antidote on the ground, take the speed, and then throw a tonic on the survivor, and slap 'em.

You can throw an antidote out in the open to make a survivor take the speed boost, which baits them out of loops. I haven't tried it yet but it might work.

You can also use them during loops. Even if they take the speed, you'll be pretty fast to catch up to them anyways unless they're close to the pallet. Might be efficient for safer pallets, not sure about god pallet though, I guess you'll have to rely on the tonics for shack.

  • A pretty top tier C tier killer with the ability to grind some quick downs with the combo of antidotes, tonics, and faster reload time. I just wish the tonic and antidote were separate, like for example, using 1 antidote leaves you at 3 antidotes but keeps your tonic count as 4.

  • Not a Nurse or Oni main but slugging is the best way to use Oni's Blood Fury while it lasts.

  • Might be the map you're playing on, breaking gens is buggy on some maps

It says it works but I tried it earlier today and I didn't feel any faster.

    What tier are you running?

  • @Ivaldi said:

The only part of the update I was actually looking forward to.

    I feel you man ;(

It's not only Open Handed either. Diversion and Fixated didn't get changed either.

Wait, what? I'm pretty sure Fixated was changed, I tested it the day the patch released and it worked while I was injured. It was on tier 3 as well. Was I trippin' balls, or?

I'm not sure about Diversion, haven't tried it out, but Diversion's description was changed ingame to say 30 seconds for tier 3. Here's the patch notes, I believe Diversion and Fixated were changed. 4.5.0 | Mid-Chapter - Dead By Daylight

  • I only dislike its positioning and how it's spread out. Other than that it's not that bad imho

  • @xSymantha said:

One of the things I was excited about with this update was trying builds with Open Handed, like with Kindred, Bond, etc.

Afaik this isn't official, but I have seen people say it's coming with the next Chapter.

Yeah, was hoping to try things out with it. :/

    @OperationMintyHippo said:

It's coming just give it like 6 to 38 months.

    True honestly, lol.

It was probably too hard to change "8" to "16"

That's PhD Dissertation Rocket Science material there. We can't possibly expect it to be done in just a month.

    Welp...

That's interesting, for me it's the complete opposite. I used to be a Killer main but it started getting so stressful and frustrating that I started mainly playing survivor. Survivor has moments where the tension spikes but there's also plenty of downtime on gens. It's mainly only tense if there's a stealth killer and you don't have spine chill. Slap on Spine chill and playing survivor becomes pretty chill. Gens are fairly boring though so survivor for me is more chill but with the trade-off of having all the boring objectives.

Huh, I get what you mean.

  • I'm probably biased but I get WAY too stressed out playing survivor. Killer is just relaxing to me.

  • I think it'd conflict with the lore, not sure how to explain. I feel like the yellow mori should be changed to have the secondary effect of Survivor Pudding, but maybe like 75% more bloodpoints for each category? Idk.

  • Very well-designed and balanced perk IMO, no buffs, reworks or nerfs necessary

  • I tend to use different builds.

Survivor: My current build on Ace is Stake Out, Windows of Opportunity, Borrowed Time, and Dead Hard (DH is a must run for me)

My Yui has a slightly different build, Borrowed Time, DH, Better Together, and Soul Guard

    Killer: Varies a lot

For Blight I usually run BBQ, Oppression, PGTW, and the last perk I change a lot, though it's usually Thrilling Tremors.

  • Honestly if I had more friends that played DBD I would play more SWF to have fun.

  • Pop and Surge is a good alternative to Ruin Undying if you play the right killer for it :)

You can use Oppression instead of Surge for other killers, works pretty well! Other than that, Undying will still be very good tbh. Ruin Undying will still work.

  • As a killer main, I honestly think SWF is fine the way it is. To be honest, I actually like it. You'll probably not 4k easily but you can at least get 1-2 kills in a SWF game. Plus, it's a neat little challenge. Going against solo queue survivors all the time can be boring and maybe even too easy at times. Don't expect to get 4k's all the time.

There's people that SWF to have fun, not sweat, so changing SWF wouldn't be nice. I completely agree with OP!

  • Hag is a nightmare to go against, very annoying and sometimes scary, and oh man do I hate the Doctor. Also, Spirit for obvious reasons (unless they don't run Stridor/Ruindying, a little challenge could be fun!).

  • @MercilessMuggers said:

I personally think leather face walks way to fast and his chainsaw is too op to dodge should he get anywhere close to you. I feel his chainsaw shouldn’t be a one hit down if he’s that fast and since his chainsaw is too op to dodge.

If you manage to juke him into a wall, you can pretty much punish him with that long 8 second tantrum he gets, and then safely run away. I think if you play Bubba sometime in the higher ranks, you'll see that he isn't as powerful as you think.

  • I love Blight, incredibly fun and underrated! Glad to see others here love him too!

  • @brubli said:

Absolutely not a perk that did that. Also no one gonna mention the gens popping in seconds?

To be fair, the gens in this map are pretty close to each other and are easy to find due to how small the map is. You're right though, I don't think the survivors did the gens.
