Oh, really? So how should i play around this "not-infinite"?

And could you please notify Mother's Dwelling and Garden of Joy that they no longer have an infinite? I'm afraid those maps don't know about that

Circle of Healing could do with a small nerf, it's still really common and shuts down certain killers and playstyles too easily but I hope they don't nuke it into the ground.

Hope they nuke it into they ground. It easily most boosted and broken perk in the game right now.

Every second match I lost, I only lost because one or two survivors had this perk that carried the whole team regardless. Just like eruption sometimes carry bad killers now.

Medkits already strong af, imagine whole team have infinite fast healing due to one perk. I don't understand how this already exist about 2 years in this state.

Eruption needs to be nerfed, the current state is unhealthy for the game.

As a killer main, l think DH is fine perk now but I know other people can have problems with this perk so i'll let the community decide the future of DH.

Perk can't be "fine" if I HAVE TO play from it in every chase with every survivor, even if it is not in the match at all.

  • Nah, map is much much better now. Smaller, less safe than before and easier to control.

  • I am very surprised how many people think he is bad. But judging by the streamers who think the same, a lot of people absolutely do not understand how to play for him.

Personally, this is the most chill killer for me, I rest while playing for him. The favorite part of playing for him is that you don't have to loop every pallet and building.

Yes, he is not a S or A tier, but he is, perhaps, a confident B tier, but certainly not the worst killer in the game.

A lot of killers (slow moving ones) feel forced to play like that with the current gen speeds, have you seen how fast they fly? how many hooks do the killer have when 3rd gen pops in your games?

If the survivors rush gens, the killer needs to rush kills to keep up, the best way to do that is tunneling. After lets say 10 gimes like that, the killer have worked in a new play style, sp now they tunnel every game, because they learned that this is the only way to keep up. Now and then there are groups that dont rush gens, and they fall victim to this new strategy.

I remember when i was killer and i had a really sweaty swf, i adapted a new sweatier playstyle that from that game that i brought into the next ones. Was it unfair to the new group that i played like that, yeah but i didnt have a reset switch and they suffered for the sweaty match i had before.

Yeah gens got +10 secs, but there were also put in a lot of genrush perks to the survivors after those 10 secs, so i really dont think they do a difference, a gen can be soloed in 45 secs (thats rare) but 60 secs is not rare.

Now how long does it take to: find a survivor, loop, break pallets, loop again, break more pallets, wound the survivor, loop (yet again), break even more pallets, hit a survivor that uses DH, loop even more, break even more pallets and finnaly get a down (unless a team mate bodyblocks and saves the survivor, that gets away and gets healed up, and then the whole thing starts over with survivor number 2). ?

Such a huge truth. You always begin a match with though like "It's better to tunnel someone right now, then trying to do it with 3 hooks and 2 gens left like in past 10 matches." I wish i don't need to play like that, really, but this is game's state right now

Same. Main building doesn't move, house is across the street behind a hedge wall, shack is in the corner. What else is there?

Very strong garage, two stairs house is good enough too. It's funny that every variation is stupidly boosted.

  • 1700 hours and i still can't remember what a difference between on every versions.

Also yeah, one of the most boosted realms, hope it will get rework after Garden of #########

  • Only slightly. He definitely does not deserve all the whining that is now on the forum about it.

I don't take this perk as a killer at all and it doesn't often have any effect on my matches for survivors. That's because it has a pretty big condition. No, even two conditions: kick the generator, and then down survivor.

In many matches, there is simply no time to kick every generator that you see, and even if it is kicked, it does not guarantee that it will not be repaired before you have time to put someone down.

I've had a lot of survivor matches where the killer took this perk and also didn't get any effect for whole match for the same reasons. Yes, on killers who can catch quickly, Eruption sometimes seems disgusting, especially if they purposefully play from a triangle, but I had good matches where the survivors (solo) perfectly understood how to play from a swing. For me, it's even fun, especially when killer is too busy of kicking generators, but completely forgets that he also has to kill

What's more interesting: no one even remembered the existence of this perk before its buff. But still, 25 seconds of inactivity is quite a long time even for survivors. I think 18-20 seconds would be absolutely fair for him, considering how many conditions must match for his implementation.

And yeah, as long as there is a perk in the game that obliges you to play EVERY game from it, even if it is not in the match at all (dh) and a perk that makes the whole healing mechanics free (I still can't believe that he has been around for 1.5 years), there can't be any talk about killer's perks nerf.

  • >The update significantly improved survivor variety.

LMAO, yeah, of course. Still 4 DH almost every game. But now + adrenalines in almost every game. Absolutely broken CoH still in every game. Prove You'reonlygoodatm1 Thyself in every game. OTR friend's back in every second game (with crying at tunneling in postgame chat obviously kek)

    Survivor main moment

  • @Piruluk said:

I think its happening because there is no counter to tunneling, the first survivor going down already knows that he will be tunneled out, so he just gives up. As long as camping and tunneling are the best and most effective way to play the game, survivors will DC too often

    > the first survivor going down already knows that he will be tunneled out

Bruh... sometimes it's better not to write anything at all.

  • LMAO, this is the best. You also forgot to mention that DH and DS should be basekit. And that the Unrelenting should be nerfed along with Piggy.

I had a great laugh, thanks!

  • @Deathstroke said:

So whenever I play killer I get sweatiest swf:s rushing gens as fast as possible and playing with insane coordination. And to have chance I have to bring 4 slow downs and proxy camp/tunnel. Feels like almost every game is like that right now.

But when I play survivor my teammates go down quickly and gens get barely done. If I manage personally loop killer extended times well I either get facecamped and my whole teams dies trying to get save or they just throw it away anyway going down so fast. It does not help killers tunnel/camp at 5 gens. While I do those tactics when 2-3 gens are already done.

So whatever side I play feels like im having disadvantage. At least I have some good games but where are these survivors who go down in seconds when I play killer? Where are those gen rushers and loopers when I play survivor?

A month ago and earlier I had a completely similar situation. But in the last month, quite good survivors began to come in my lobby more and more often. And I'm more and more surprised at how simple the game is for survivors, when everyone knows how to hold m1 on generators and just throw every pallet.

As for the killers, I also get sweaty swf almost every game. And it bored me to death, because I like to play on different, even the weakest killers, but it just doesn't make sense in current state of the game. No antiloop power? Here is 3 gens done for your first hook. Funny and interactive af.

  • F##king Circle of Healing is biggest problem in the game now. There are no things that affect matches more. I still can't believe they added a perk that makes the whole healing mechanic free and haven't done anything with it for 1.5 years.

As long as nurse is in the game, no one has the right to complain about DH. It’s the only thing stopping her from downing you in 10 secs. I’m okay with deleting DH if they remove nurse and nerf alchemist ring

I agree with the idea, but you messed up the order a bit: As long as DH (and CoH) is in the game, no one has the right to complain about Nurse.

Bc Nurse is one out of 30 killers, when dh is still most common perk in the game.

Wish they rework this busted crap (Nurse, dh and coh) so hard

  • @Akumakaji said:

Its leagues and miles better then the old DH, were I got to a point were every game felt like torture and I died a little bit every time a survivor DHed to a palette or window, but after a somewhat long adaption period the new DH actually isn't that far off, again.

DH is miles ahead of every other exhaustion perk, is still (AGAIN) the most played survivor perk, you AGAIN are facing regularly 3-4 DH users in a single match and AGAIN the perk is sucking the fun out of the game. The short period directly after the 6.1 patch was SUCH a breath of fresh air. As the killer, if you cornered a survivor and caught up to them in a chase, you could just swing at them. What a novel, fun concept! The killer could just swing as survivors, so strings attached. Swoosh! And down. But alas, it didn't last long. At first it was just the obvious "180° turn into the killer" that you soon wisened up to, but over time a lot of survivors got the timing right and now we are basically back at step zero.

Well, its a bit better then old DH, ie you can't use for distance just like that anymore, and you can bait it out in certain situations, especially when you caught up to someone in the open, but most good survivors will use it skillfully in loops or to force the killer into lose/lose situations.

Two times, count it, two times, I was able to predict a survivor using DH before they vault and got them, but this is just opposed by probably hundreds of times were I got rekt by it.

In the past I was always defending the change they made to DH, claiming "wow, BHVR pulled off the impossible: they nerfed DH while simultaneously not nuking it form orbit, but making it fun and fair! Bravo!", but that was before savvy survivors learned how to use it correctly and now it just feels aweful again to be hit by it.

This is literally what I created a topic about once: https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/346703/it-was-the-best-month-in-the-game#latest

    I feel you so much

  • There shouldn't be a perk in the game that would ALWAYS make the killers afraid to make a swing.

There shouldn't be a perk in the game that would make a killer breathe into the back of survivor's head for 5 seconds every time you overtake him.

The game should not have a perk that would prolong the chase 2-3 times by pressing a button. And, think about it, to be able to use it EVERY CHASE because it has a cooldown of only 40 seconds, it's just amazingly stupid.

And no, there is no real skill here to use this perk. The real skill is to resist this perk and beat it.

The game should not have a perk that would allow you to get up to 10 free hits to the survivors EACH MATCH.

In my games, about 60-70% of the survivors still use it, which suggests that it is at least no worse than it was before.

Anyone who plays both sides enough understands how broken this perk is.

There's only one bucket of ######### in the game that affects the game more than dh - it's a CoH.

The only way I see the existence of this perk in its current form is to make it highly rewarded for high risk. For example, be in chase for a minute, which will give you a token to use it. Or at least save the survivor from the hook. It shouldn't be an exhaustion perk. It has to be a perk that needs to be earned.

Knight should get a rework. He is just a great camper and very boring killer in general.

The brown add-on for range should be base kit and green Orb invisible.

The Guards are so sluggish and only good for camping.

Guards should disapear when they come within 8m of hooked survivor.

Player should have an option to switch between Guards.

Carnifex and Jailer have at least 107% movement speed.

28sec should be default Hunt duration for all of them.

If Guards don't apply perks then make it worth kicking generator by Guard.

Allow Carnifex to deal 10%, Jailer 7%, Assasin 4% regression loss.

Lol. Guards are terrible campers. You'd know that if you'd ever played for him. The survivor ALWAYS succeeds in getting another survivor off the hook, so the guards do literally nothing. Maybe the opposite can happen only in extremely specific hook locations.

And always be able to take away 10% of the gen without any conditions and cooldowns? U good, bro?

  • @Devil_hit11 said:

Knight feels bad to play right now. Map of the realm +6->+4 really hurts his viability from the ptb. His guard placing patrol is still bugged and his units can barely enter chase with the add-on itself. He is also has exploit that some people are abusing which allows him to press the interact button to kick gens and grab potato bad survivors off generators.

He needs more love and more bug-fixing. sad killer to play at the moment.

Knight feels great to play. But for every 10 Knights I came across, only 1 or 2 understood how to play him right. Even on Midwich or Gideon, where this killer is, without a doubt, S tier, people put guards terribly or ran m1 without the ability.

I'm surprised that so many people still consider him a bad killer and write it everywhere, instead of looking at good examples of his gameplay and going to try to get better at it.

Mm. Although, to be fair, this isn't the only killer with a mandatory brown that should be basekit (cough Sadako).

Yeah, and Pig. And Legion... and Hag... and Doctor... and GF ... and Caleb... Many-many coughs

Other addons that work wonder for aggressive playstyle and not 3 gen playstle is the one which makes Carnifax appear twice and the brown one which reduces the Order time by 25%.

Carnifax will break pallet in almost 1 sec so you have absolutely no slowdown on pallets and can run through them and get survivor down.

In many cases, it is much more profitable to put a guard in a loop than break a pallet. In addition, if the pallet was dropped in front of your nose, you will have to step back to use the ability, which already negates the "benefit" of carnifex. Therefore, I don't think this kind of gameplay is the most suitable for Knight.

I use Pillaged Mead sometimes, but I also didn't see any significant effect on the ability.

I'm escaping all my solo survivor games and losing as killer and for three years its been the opposite. It makes no ######### sense. Exactly what you said even if I down every survivor the moment i find them it doesn't matter. The 30 seconds it takes to find down and hook them is a whole ######### gen. This isn't even to mention the ######### prestige 100s I keep getting that I can't even catch at my skill level

dont get me wrong I am impressed and can even respect that they play that well. but ######### is the point in playing killer? unless you are the top 1% of the games killers its just a stupid ######### migraine to do.

why don't all the killer players literally just quit and boycott the game until something gets fixed?

The answer is simple: at a high mmr, everyone plays for Nurse and Blight. What the whole forum is crying about here, not understanding the reason. It is not so easy to bully them.

But I like to play for almost all the killers. GF, Demo, Wraith, Clown, Piggy, I love them no less than the Artist and Blight. But I don't like Nurse at all and very rarely play for her. Apparently, according to the developers, I have to suffer every game for this.

  • 1600 hours, feel absolutely the same. I've never enjoyed playing for the killers less than nowdays.

Every game is the same: you find someone, chase, hook him, and by this time 2 generators are ready for sure, sometimes 3. You chase, hook again, go through the generators and see that two generators are already hot, the game is almost over. And every time I have one question in my head: why do I leave the hook at all, if I still have to go back to it and get much more real gameplay than just walking around the map and looking at the generators that are almost ready.

To win matches, you need to hard tunnel someone, this is the only way to win today at least against swf. But it's boring and I'm tired of doing it every game, but I also don't want to look at 4 asses in the gate who think they can do something in this game, when they did nothing all game but hold m1.

Today I had about 6 such games out of 8 played, but usually there are about half of them. Another quarter of them are idiots who disconnect or die on the first hook, making the match also deadly boring.

I play for the killers much less often now and slowly move to the survivors, because it's x100 times more chill and less stressful. I'm tired of being a clown who entertains, I want the killers to entertain me.

  • The idea of balancing the game around perks is fundamentally wrong and terrible. That's why I would like to see a mode in the game where everyone would play without them.

  • Penalty should be 15 minutes and double every time. Over the past week, I've seen SO MANY pointless dc, even in games where the survivors' game was going very well, that I no longer even understand why this is happening at all, except as a huge inflated ego in the child's ass of these survivors.

If you don't want to play, you go to another game. Besides yourself, you are responsible for the result of the game of 4 other players, because this is a TEAM game. The game is about survival, but most of the survivors just want to sleep neat the monitor with the m1 button pressed so that no one interferes with them. It's disgusting to watch. Go play tetris, please, if you have enough ability, of course. I don't want to see you either in my games for killer, or in my team for survivors. You are the worst thing in this game right now after cheaters, nurse, coh and dh.

  • I hope never. It was a terrible PTB for both sides.

  • Yeah, let's make Gideon 33 pallet map instead of 25. Or just reset shack pallet 5 times during the match. Sounds cool.

  • In order for the perk to work, the killer needs to perform two actions: reach the generator, hit it and catch the survivor. It takes much more time than 25 seconds. No one balances perks for solos or groups, perks are what they are. Some have more influence on solo gameplay, some have more influence on swf.

From both sides of the game, I can see that the park can be depressing only if the survivors go down every minute or repair the generators very badly. On killers, it can be useless the whole game without a single use, simply because you have to spend all the time in the game catching a survivors. Yes, those 5 minute games on endless maps, love it. In case all the survivors are good at the chase, of course. And please stop crying about solo already. Solo, as a game mode, is totally fine, this is how the game was originally conceived. Your skill and/or your teammates are most often not.

  • Every time I hit in dh, I tunnel him off the hook. So if you want to have three health stages, don't complain about tunneling. Dh makes bad survivors even worse because instead of looping, they're just waiting for an opportunity to press E. For good survivors, it's still a free-mistake perk. In any case, in my matches he is still taken by 60-70% of survivors, so he definitely needs another nerf. Yeah, it's not so strong as before, but there shouldn't be a perk in the game that should ALWAYS keep all the killers in fear of swinging.

  • Good idea! But there must be a condition to survivors auras - to be in chase. Otherwise, it might be too strong imo

  • Me usually say gg when it was really good game, no matter win or lose, killer or survivor. Also i always say "well played" to people who really played well (mostly to killers), if they didn't act toxic

  • @Marigoria said:

Killers still tunnel and camp at 5 gens so I don’t think that’s the reason.

Yes, to prevent situations like these. Didn't think about it? Even if I don't get three ready genes for the first chase, at least one ready and two hot, if none of the survivors made a mistake and the chase was not too fast. The survivors have 1/2 of their work done, I have 1/12 of my work done. What should I do, go to the other end of the map to look for someone? Play as killer maybe before being surprised by such things.

  • My favorite thing about this game is that you could spend a full minute (2.34x25) just in breaking pallet animation on the gideon. But sometimes in the same minute (mostly it's 1:10-20) during the first chase, I get 3! finished generator. (Not only me, all streamers i usually watch too) That's all you need to know about the balance in this game.

Speaking on topic, hit cooldown is probably the only thing that affects the gameplay slightly, since now when hitting a survivor, he does not run THAT far. As for the rest, it was just a slight blowing of dust from the killer role, but certainly not a buff that was worth writing three million crying topics on this forum. It became more difficult to play only for very bad survivors, due to which the last statistics were the way it are. And yeah, I play both roles for about the same amount of time.

Speaking of the meta shake up, dh has only gotten stronger in some situations. Boons are still crazy and very stupidly designed. Prove yourself still wins me survivor games and makes my killer matches last 5 minutes. I still don't play against players when I'm a killer, but against their perks. It's sad

  • How did I gather the guests of the club "I read with my feet" here?

I mean. If you genuinely have zero indication where any other survivor is, sure, at that point commit to the chase, but usually there's some idea where other survivors are.

I'm not saying Dead Hard isn't a good perk for the survivors to bring, but you're making it sound like seeing a DH in the match is a hopeless, despair-inducing scenario where you lose no matter what, and that's just not true. There are so many ways around new Dead Hard, depending on what tools you have available, and even the worst case scenario is significantly less damaging to you than before.

I'm just said it's boring to bite it out every game. That's all. All this "hopeless, despair-including" bullshit taken from your own head. So don't even see a reason to answer on this one.

  • @jesterkind said:

I feel like you can definitely just swing right away now, though? Worst case scenario is that you drop chase in exchange for Deep Wound, best case scenario is you still get a down.

Hell, dodging a hit was never the problematic part of Dead Hard to begin with, so it being reduced to only doing that is a gigantic improvement all on its own.

I wish it was as easy as you say.

    > hit survivor, he gets a deep wound, and runs to another place

    > you just give up on chase and go in an unknown direction, god knows where, simply because, spending not only a lot of time on the chase itself, but also on the way to the next goal only because the survivor has "E skill"

Sounds very balanced and fair tho

Bottom line: you lose a lot of time, which you don’t have anyway, survivor just mend himself up instead of chilling on hook. Repeat it up to 10 times per match.

Fantastic tactic, pretty sure you win every game with this genius tactic.

Please don't explain to me how to deal with it and teach me to play. Especially if you don't understand how it works. Just read the words I wrote, there was nothing about it.

  • Yeah, and no Prove Yourself nerf on mid-chapter was really surprised for me. Most boosted perk after DH, that literally wining my game on survivors and make my game last 5 minutes for killers. What the point nerf gen speed, if u make perks that make it even faster than it was

The literally removed ranks before because of this reason, so why return it now? Huge oversight from the developers, and hopefully will be addressed soon.

The ranks were removed because of:

    – Devs, why do they put me as a beginner against a killer with the first rank?

    – Because ranks don't matter now, it's just an indicator of the time spent in the game during this month

    – NO, WHY????! TELL ME!!!1111!!

    – Okay, they're stupid, let's remove them to avoid constant questions like this

  • Well, at least because no normal player makes a conclusion about the experience of a player by his level of prestige.

    – Does he have 4k hours and no prestige on Mikaela? Wow, a great target for tunneling

Sometimes I meet accounts with 100-200 hours, but they run as if they have more than 2k hours. What's next, tag them so that baby killers don't run after them?

Stop making life difficult for yourself and others by worrying about all sorts of far-fetched bullshit.
