Number isn't even that different, it's not even 10% increase lol
Balance difference is miniscule, only noticeable change is perk variety and que time balancing.
-
one additional perk or what

The majority of survivors play solo queue, and their game experience should be just as rewarding as those who play with friends. We all bought the game, and we all deserve to have an enjoyable experience playing it. If the game is balanced around a 4 man swf, which has the fewest players then 80% of survivor players are going to have an unenjoyable and unfair experience.
Literally impossible, you have to bend every physics of the world to achieve that.

Why should a bad killer always be able to secure a 1k?
Because game works like that, ask BHVR for why.
-
@Jinxed said:
Well, setting aside any data, the game feels unbalanced and unfair right now for solo queue survivors. The stats are secondary to how the game actually feels to play.
Probably that means game is rather balanced, considering how many people play SWF and all solo players can also always choose to play with friends.

So you mean to tell me blood warden isn't a thing? Working on a door trying to leave, killer hooks the idiot and now we can't leave. That's considering the fact I actually make it to the final stage of the game and not get tunneled out 5 minutes into the game
you can always wait till killer hooks him lol

cuz boring.

Numbers 2-7 all punish solo q survivors so I ask this again is it fair or right, in every sense of the word, that solo's should pay the price for other solo's? Because if you agree to that then I agree that the killer should pay the price for making one small mistake that costs them the entirety of the game. I think it's fair that every SWF brings purple toolkits with brand new parts and prove thyself.
7 does not "punish" solo q at all, both SWF and solo loves to give free kill to killers for some reason by trying to do impossible save.

It's not an assumption, is basic math.
The reason for my opinion that you stated is your assumption, and I've already stated why it's fine.
That is basic math too btw.

The only good nerf to self care is deletion of it.

I'm sure you'd consider it enough since it's killer sided.
Luckily your assumption is entirely wrong, it's not even actually killer sided.
-
would feel pity for them because it's such a ridiculous challenge, like there is no good way to consistently stun killers.
-
Note that kill rates were more than 50% even before and game was extremely survivor sided, so probably 60% or so is not even "high".

39% escape rate is high? when will it be enough for some of you people? when escape rate is 0?
Current distribution is fairly well balanced and I consider it enough, thanks.

It doesn't matter how bad it is, the starchiest potatoes are running it and they're a number so the perk must be destroyed.
CoH is fine though.
Then they REALLY should just delete it altogether, it's literally free win ticket for killers in 99% of matches.
-
Because killers can almost always secure a kill in completely losing match while survivors can't do such, the baseline would be 25%.
People love hook suiciding too.
-
Literally nothing, it is stupid.
Remove kobe punishment or remove penalty, choose one.
-
Suicide has to be removed, shrine of secret is such a stupid mechanics, but I don't think there is any fix for MMR.
@I_CAME said:
They just need to get rid of mmr entirely. I’m not sure what it even does other than make the queue longer. It clearly doesn’t work well when both survivors and killers are still putting massive winstreaks together.
Aaaaaand... the fact is they effectively did, that is the reason why good people like those can still get a match AT ALL.
There is no point in removal, because it already is extremely loose.

You don't understand, it's not to vote at the beginning of the match, but after a certain time (10 minutes for example) but when the match is already lost for some of the sides, in addition the vote has to be for everyone and not just your
Then just add hard time limit of 30 minutes or something like that, that will do better for removing hostage situation.
-
reassurance is not even nerfed, just that people can't "abuse" it anymore.

I mean normally Lethal Pursuer is ran with Aura Reading perks... that is way less regression to deal with (someone already pointed this out however). Also it gets countered by running perks that counter Aura Reading. B: Shadow Step and Distortion are really good, hell, if you wanted to, you could, Idk, hope in a locker.

BBQ is healthy for the game.
It causes the killer to leave the hooked survivors to chase another survivor, or at least waste their time looking for survivors within an area. BBQ promotes an active playstyle, chasing new people and provides pressure; it discourages tunneling and camping which are seen as cheap ways to build pressure with minimal effort.
You might like to sit in the corner of the map and Self-Care while a Jonah gets facecamped by Bubba, but I prefer the opposite, I want to be chased, I want the action, I want the game to feel challenging and that I am rewarded for my knowledge and time put into the game, and most people feel the same way as me. YOU might care about stealth, but MOST people dont, and the game is designed around the vocal majority since they speak the loudest.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3160319#Comment_3160319
This is the only reasonable issue with Lethal Pursuer that should be addressed, however OP doesnt address this at all. Perks that modify other perks are often bottlenecked by certain killers existing (Nurse) or already existing perks; this often results in the modifying perk getting nerfed or the perk being modified because nerfed or less effective by launch. (Goodjob Krazzik for bringing this up btw!)
Considering how they managed to implement countless problematic perk combos and plenty of extremely strong perks for nurse, "balance bottleneck" definitely does not exist.
-
LP does nothing to solo q, really.

You act like that's new for DBD though. Ash is running. Chris Boulderfield is running.
did you know the fact I don't really like those too lul
-
Imagine hunk being chased by killers and escaping like weak ass people
-
Uh you being gud does not mean they are op
-
1/5 exhaustion perks yay
-
Efficient tunnelers gonna hit them right after the unhook anyway thanks to OTR, there is no punishment.
-
It's a bad perk, and it's even worse because it makes game fun.
-
Yeah, anyone trying to win is playing selfish.
no kill, no generator, peaceful never ending game for everyone.
-
@Plsfix369 said:
You mean the unhooker isn't a viable target for the killer? like hooking the person that just traded you for a safe unhook isn't a viable target?
What if unhooking has been already finished?
You are basically asking for killers to facecamp hooked survivor, because otherwise trading will not happen.
-
Are you sure complaints weren't from survivors?
-
Probably because a kill or two is literally nothing, also if survivors don't deserves to get a free escapes then there wouldn't be hatches or EGC with gate power up too.
Both free escapes and free kills have the place in this game, that's literally what they are doing.
It makes sense to disable any anti camping/tunneling at endgame if we see it like that, so I suppose it's just a situation of "what they are saying is not always truth" moment.
-
Surprising fact: being nice to your opponent is not how PvP games are meant to be played.
Yeah maybe in chat, but certainly not in match itself.
-
SWF is obviously nerfed and game is much healthier in term of that, though.
-
escape = MMR and MMR = escape, but MMR does not equate skill.
"SKILL BASED" was such a stupid name to give, so many people misunderstanding purpose and logic behind it.
-
Oh no another "remove hatch" thread.
-
Anything that kills facecamping would be good tbh.
-
I think they confirmed that they think she is in fine position multiple times.

Boil over DID worked extremely well, too well and actually got fixed.

Under usual circumstances, this woulda be considered as holding the game hostage; However, since you were puking on generators, the survivors woulda had to risk getting infected. It's not like you didn't have the option to search lockers aswell, but you didn't do that.
I wouldn't see this as holding the game hostage, because you didn't go out of your way to search for them; You were focused on generators, not on your prey.
You've raised a good point though; Those add-ons shall be nerfed a bit, because.. two minutes of infection; Seriously? Isn't that a bit too long?
Did you know the fact working on generators risk being found even against normal killers?
According to your post, you are basically saying survivors not working on gens at all is justified because it's "risky".
-
@NerfedFreddy said:
No, your job is to find survivors and you refused to do so by just constantly patrolling and infecting 7 gens. You used cheesy strat and you got cheesy counterplay
Yeees, patrolling gens are totally not the correct, legit or intended way to find survivors, even in-game tips say so.
-
I love how this change ultimately made game worse at least for now.

That's precisely the problem. It's too strong in the hands of good players, and useless in the hands of bad players.

I seriously doubt giving the killer double the pressure is in your advantage but i dont really play survivor so maybe im missing something.
Edit: And i only use PR for slowdown so im probably missing the new way of regression, that might be the disconnect here.
Basically killers don't need a hook to activate regression perks anymore, gens loves to regress to zero.
It really wasn't the case before unless people repeatedly downed quickly and allowed killers to activate PR/pop multiple times in quick succession.

Yeah sure towards the end of the game it makes a lot more sense and there are a lot of situations in which its 100% a great perk.
But more often than not, average survivors who have PT kinda tend to seek out other survivors to use it instead of splitting up like they should. And thats free pressure for the killer and a lot more manageable.
But especially in current "way" of regressions, finishing each gens with two people tend to do better than splitting up and doing two gens with two people.

Wouldnt call being able to semi reliably hit great skill checks easy. But it is possible. Its got some really good synergies with toolboxes which increase the rate of getting skill checks and stake out which gives you freebies so you dont lose your bonus.
probably non issue for majority but would be literally game breaking at higher matches I guess..
Seems to be a fun perk to run but I doubt it to go live anyway.
-
even 5 seconds has not been a problem tbh.
-
If that is easily possible in whatever situations, that is basically equivalent of reverting all the killer buffs.
what's up with BHVR lmao
-
At least those who want to kill at all cost will be matched against those who want to escape at all cost, that's the point.
