See, I actually play this style of Legion while 110. That's the difference. I PLAY Legion, everyone else doesn't really play him. They only see him as a Frank's exploit machine. He's 115, but got 7 nerfs to compensate, and basically has his power shut off/worthless for 90% of the match. How is that not gutted? Also, 115 isn't that fast, or special. Many killers suffer while 115.
Also, Speshul wants to try and call me out. So I proved them wrong. If they're gonna be a twat, I'm gonna treat them like one. I could literally say the sky is blue, and they'd say I'm wrong simply just to spite me. Cuz they don't want to prove a point, they want to be RIGHT. That's the difference.
I'm not being abrasive. I'm countering points, welcome to a debate/discussion. Notice I don't insult you, I respond with counter points. You're the one taking it as abrasive/insulting.
He didn't really get gutted, though. He got changed. Legion already wasn't all that great. Most slower killers have something that can hurt you as their M2. They changed it so that you could reach further with his power (though it's slower, but I think that's for balance) and it's like people forgot how many times you had to hit survivors before to down them.
The only things I'd really change is the pins, the vault speed, and when FF can be applied. There may be a few more, but I can't think of them off hand.
I'll go back and address what you said.
He's not balanced, he's trash, and that's why survivors say he's better now.
I don't think he's trash. I'm saying he's better now, but not because I'm a survivor main going "haha, serves you right. nerf all your stuff." I've played Legion and he felt smooth to me. Not only that, but it wasn't just "survivor mains" who wanted changes. Using this sort of rhetoric creates a them versus us sort of atmosphere, though. It's just us.
You're honestly just unpleasant to "debate" with. I'm not surprised Speshul is giving you a hard time, the way you twist words.

@TreemanXD I used to wake up to notifications when people would quote me. xD Oh, those were the times. lmao I wouldn't do that. I'd lose where I'd left off with the posts.
Why'd you decide on the name TreemanXD?
-
Freddy has to ask for permission to interact with the survivors. Legion can just go stabby stabby. I'm hoping the rework will do something about the sleep mechanics...
As for the SWF plea, they need to do something to buff Solo players up to SWF level first (no one will play solo if it feels too hard and there's a good portion of survivors who play solo) and they're sitting on their hands on Solo buffs. >> Like that perk that tells you how far along someone is healed while on the ground should be basekit. Solo players will be at a massive disadvantage to SWF if they are actually expected to bring in all those "for solo players only" perks like Kindred/Buckle Up. No one can agree on what would be OP and what wouldn't.

MoM is not strong. Major streamer tweets about DS getting nerfed, but now they have MoM so suck it killer mains.
Counter to Franklin's? Really? One, who actually runs Franklin's compared to MoM, and if you want to go that route, what's the counter to instaheals? BNPS? 4 toolboxes? We get Franklin's, and still have to HIT you. Also, if they have Franklin's, you go pick your item back up. Congrats, you countered Franklin's. Or better yet, die in a locker with a white ward. Drop the item in a safe spot and go get it after the game is done.
Tinkerer and M&A are easy, you have this neat mechanic called a 3rd person camera. Killers also have a bright red stain that shows up and often times goes through walls. Also, who runs Tinkerer?
I don't know how many times I can say aura reading isn't scary. Not a single time have I hesitated to heal to full, if I even bothered to heal, cuz I have Adrenaline, so I just rushed the gens and they only got 30s of aura reading off me, which I still just walk out, or loop.
What killer perks? I asked you to name them, cuz you keep bringing them up, but never name them. Also yea, Adrenaline is totally fine, it's not why everyone runs it or anything. Not like gens can be burnt through in a few minutes, and there's no real pressure/fear of not getting it off if you're not a potato.
Not sure what you're trying to say with your first sentence.
I'll say this and I'll only say this once. This isn't a "we" versus "you." This is an "us." That's how you alienate people, which won't help bringing people over to your understanding.
You can pick your item back up until it's depleted or have you forgotten how the higher tiers of Franky's work? I'm giving a comparison. It's a free smack the item out of your hand perk. Survivors don't have a free smack add-ons out of your hand perk. Maybe get rid of MoM and give us that instead? c: I'm sure you would looove that.
There's crap I don't like, either. Insta-heals usually feel rather mindless. That isn't to detract from my point: Killers have "free" stuff, too. Free pallet break, free item drop, free kill end game. To pretend they don't is short sighted.
I used Tinker and M&A as examples not because there isn't counters, but because you need to change what you're doing. It's like when you're facing a Michael with M&A versus a killer with a normal terror radius. You need to be looking around and paying attention. That was the point that soared so far above your head, apparently.
I'm giving you examples and you're saying I'm wrong 'cause you feel like it. o-o I'm thinking I'm gonna stop.
-
@TreemanXD Dx I missed the third!
-
@Caretaker As I said, I mentioned it initially 'cause people compare it to old DS a lot. In my initial post:
(For the ones comparing it to DS)
The killer doesn't get stunned. If I see you injured on a gen and I smack you and you get MoM, I still can provide pressure, especially if you're with others. And why would I go to a safe area with no gens just 'cause you're over there? I'm not. Like if I see you working on a gen that's important or going for the save, I'll intervene, but you're hindering your team if you do neither and I'll mess with you when either everyone else is killed or downed or you're doing something useful to your team.
Mettle Of Man will deactivate the next time you are put into the Dying State.
If I smack you 'cause you're being annoying and you choose to run to an area with nothing, I don't need to follow you and down you, just to leave you on the ground. Or were you saying I'd smack you and you'd make the aura portion active by healing? You don't remove the aura portion from healing if that's what you were trying to say. I'm honestly not sure.
MoM should only activate when a person may be second stage, unless you're hitting and leaving people a lot. I would be for adding a BT affect to the person hit (so they waste extra time), but I still don't think it's as strong as some are making it out to be.
I asked you what the counters were, and even you said there really isn't any outside of 2-3 killers, and a perk people generally don't run.
I also said you can do hit & run to get MoM through early, that way they aren't trolling you end game with it and have to actually be careful with what you do. If you aren't going on long chases and pressuring generators, hitting people off, it won't show up as much of an issue. A lot of killers find someone and try to chase them for 5 gens, though.
Not everything needs an obvious counter. What's the counter for Franky's, for instance? You've already brought in an item. Don't get hit? Gl with that. Things like Tinker and M&A you need to change your playstyle, too. It isn't just an obvious counter and some things may require you to play differently than you usually do. If you hit someone with MoM but don't down them, that gives you aura reading until you do. You can go and pressure the important areas (like if you're setting up a three gen strat or are using discordance and see two people working on a gen) and just return to them if they're pressuring an area you don't want them.
I'm comparing them to killer perks 'cause I'm assuming you'll be familiar with them and I'm trying to help you understand where I'm coming from when I say it isn't as bad as people are making it out to be. Like Adrenaline? Maybe. It isn't like it's not strong. The next old DS? No.
Though I'm wondering if you think Adrenaline is an OP, unfair perk.

A free hit would be implying you've done absolutely nothing to do it. Whether you like to admit it or not, it has something you need to do (get hit) and has a down side (aura being seen or being 1 shot).
Wow, take hits, aka play the game like you normally do. How shocking, how difficult to obtain. Aura reading isn't scary, I'm still gonna loop you, or just save it for end-game and leave anyway. 1-shots have nothing to do with MoM. That's based on the killer/player, not the perk, it's not a downside. Also, you get a literally free hit. Just don't heal and boom you can ignore ANYTHING IN THE GAME THAT WOULD DOWN YOU.
It's also likely to occur not at the start, but mid game where you should be realistically snowballing pressure.
Ah, the good old "apply pressure" argument. The classic. Was wondering when this was show up. Killers have no real end-game, and with EGC we have even LESS end game pressure. Pressure for killers is praying survivors aren't burning gens, wasting too much time with loops, and that they're altruistic/wasting time healing. We don't have any real say unless playing a top-tier killer, and survivors are potatoes. Keyword there, "AND". .,
If you want to argue that a survivor shouldn't be rewarded for "failing" multiple times in a row, should we make the same argument with pallet stuns and Spirit Fury?
Oh yea, I have to waste 2 perks for SF to be effective, SF, and Enduring. This is confirmed by BHVR as balanced because it was designed to REQUIRE ENDURING to be effective. Also, you can literally turn off two perks by dropping a pallet early. Congratulations you've countered Enduring, and Spirit Fury. The killer now has 2 perks. It was that easy to do. You have plenty more pallets and jungle gyms to use as well. Be smart about your pathing.
This is coming from someone who doesn't mind either of the perks, but killers have perks where you fail multiple times in a row to get rewarded. And they don't have a downside to go along with it, so I think the survivor version is fair because of that.
It doesn't matter whether you like the perk or not. That doesn't determine it's strength. People hate No Mither, but I love it for the challenge. Doesn't make it a good perk. What perks do killers have that reward you for failing multiple times? Please, name them off. There isn't any, unless you're gonna say NOED and NOED has a counter unlike MoM. Also, comparing perks is stupid, they're two different gameplay styles/mechanics.
Old DS was trash 'cause you could use it at the start for no reason. You didn't have to do anything to activate it. It took away a lot of pressure from early game, which was so important for Killers. @Caretaker
I never said anything about old DS? I wanted it removed. New one isn't as bad, but it also punishes you for snowballing so, that's fun.
Using it properly completely screws a killer and extends a chase longer than it should be, aka, old DS.
Is mentioning DS last time I checked. I mentioned DS in the first place 'cause I see a lot of people are complaining about MoM being like the old DS or the next old DS and I don't think it's nearly as bad as people are saying. It's like the people who complain about Adrenaline. It can be really strong depending on the situation, but it could also be a wasted slot. Especially if you don't get to end game.
I think you're not taking into account that you may not be in a good position. If you're afraid of being found and refuse leaving safe areas, you're likely not getting the gens done that's important. You're not going for the save 'cause you know I can see you and intervene. It isn't like OoO where you can see the killer, too. There's ways to work around it. Some people just don't adapt, I guess.
-
There's too many pallets until you play survivor, than there's none. xD Same with Hex Ruin. You play survivor and it's no where to be found, but play killer and it's out in the open. Happens sometimes.
-
I would really like this! The new animation is so cool.

The problem with MoM, is it is a FREE HIT, for just playing the game. Using it properly completely screws a killer and extends a chase longer than it should be, aka, old DS. You can make this even worse with perks such as Dead Hard. Also, if you loop well you will be M1'd cuz they cannot get their M2's off. I see plenty of killers default to M1's due to rough loops that waste too much time attempting to M2.
A free hit would be implying you've done absolutely nothing to do it. Whether you like to admit it or not, it has something you need to do (get hit) and has a down side (aura being seen or being 1 shot). @Poweas the problem with DH is people only think it is useful for evading a hit but in all reality it is really good for making it to a pallet or window you normally wouldn’t have.
@TreemanXD I've also used DH while being sandbagged (other person got hit), to get over Trapper traps, to make it to a hook quicker or make it out the gate safely. I love DH.
-
I had games where MoM literally screwed them 'cause they were the last one left and I could see them. I do a lot of smacking people off of gens and sometimes don't even notice it going off. People are making it out to be worse than it is. (For the ones comparing it to DS) The issue with DS from my understanding is that it took away from early game pressure and was free at the start. While you may not consider it something to do, you still need to get hit with an M1 attack (which can be denied by those who can use M2 ones). That's still something that needs to happen. It isn't free and it even comes with a downside (killers being able to see you).

This game are destined to die when the players do not want to play killers.
@pandorayr Honestly it's more likely to die when survivors get sick of it. You need 4 survivors and 1 killer. If you think there's a long wait time for the player base currently, just imagine if there was less. It'd be like an MMO without a base (that also have mini games that require players playing together).

@Cali for example, pretty much every single Hag 'nerf' you listed. Since they've been fixed by now. Except for these ones
- added the ability to not trigger any traps when crouching over them
If this thread is intended to be a wake up call for the devs, it's not going to work, since survivors have had almost triple the amount of nerfs, fyi.
I know what you intend to tell the devs with this, but they won't undo any of these, they were nerfed for a reason. Shadowborn for more control over lighting, tinkerer so they don't have to edit the values all the time and to nerf instasaw/instashock, STBFL and Unrelenting for obvious reasons and Iron grasp because the sabo meta was ended.. They were for a reason. Plus STBFL is in a really good spot rn and needs no reverts to its original state.
And stalking survivors in lockers was a bug, a long time ago.
But yeah, rather than focusing on this list, you could talk to me, and I'll help you make a proper wake up call thread.
@Poweas I don't think they're making a list because they want a wake up call to the devs, but 'cause they want to be childish. A while ago a survivor main posted a list of nerfs for those who say survivors don't get nerfed and some people were really salty over it. This is probably the smurf account of one of those people, listing random stuff unrelated to whether it was an exploit or a bug. Pretty sure their intent is to mess with people.

@TreemanXD Ugh, I hated DS so much. It was early game, too, where you really needed pressure. I'd find a survivor, see it was the obsession, and die a little inside.

BuT nObOdY rUnS iT! i NeVeR sEe It! ItS oNlY 2 pEr MaTcH! What a strong argument. A completely bullshit perk is fine, cuz only a few people run it and extend chases/BM with it. A free uncounterable perk is totally fine. TOTALLY fine. Literally a stronger version of DS, but nah. It's gucci. It's a survivor perk, so it's fine.
@Caretaker Its counter is power attacks and it's balanced with a downside. A survivor really doesn't want the killer to see what they're doing. In order to avoid that, you'll need to stay one-downed while not knowing where the killer is coming from (if they leave you). Old DS dampened my games far more than MoM has.
-
I had a game where I killed all, but two. Hooked one and looked around to see the David has the aura part of MoM active. I caught him, of course.
I think it's really only problematic while pursuing a chase or during end game. I have a habit of hit and runs or smacking people away from what they're doing. It can be strong, but also can be really problematic for the survivor.

Also, thanks for wanting to talk @fluffybunny let me explain
So, I don't want to talk about what happened yesterday but let's just say it upset me a bit. But today was just frustrating. I played a match (I play golf at school :P) and I honestly played like garbage. I have never played this bad before and, I'm no god-tier player but I didn't think I would play this bad. Normally it wouldn't bother me as much but this was our LAST competitive match of the season and I think I screwed my teammates over which makes me feel even worse. They're honestly WAY too nice to me, if I was them I'd be pretty pissed off at myself (Even though I already am because I played horribly). So yeah, that's been my day.
It isn't an issue, but just wondering why you guys moved the overwatch talk to here. Was it in another thread and you were told to move? @PhantomMask20763
I've heard that being stressed/upset can impact your performance in sports, especially ones that requires dexterity. Sorry to hear you feel you did poorly and could have made others upset at you. Just because you're the last person left doesn't mean you're the best, most valuable player. You don't even need to be in the killer's sight to see if they're waiting at the hatch. If that's the case, stealth around and do gens.

These patches are of course necessary.
The killers, despite their overwhelming power,
It is common to be teased by survivors.
We must not forget that this is a horror game.
I agree. The bugs and technical issues make it horrifying. I'm only kidding. While the game has horror themes, I don't believe it's intended to be a flat out horror game. I don't think it's possible to make a horror game out of this sort of game type. There can be some terrifying moments, but your fear lessens the more you do the same thing. It's more intended to be like a party game or like hide and go seek tag with horror backgrounds/elements. I agree that it stinks to be teased by survivors and the toxic sort is unpleasant to come across from either side, though.
-
I'm surprised this thread is still going. Those videos are so old and relatively irrelevant now. So many buffs and so on since then. I will say I saw a comment about SWF being "cheat" with friends, which is ridiculous. That's like someone claiming Moris are cheating or playing killer is cheating. It's a game mode. Please get over yourself. Most SWF aren't even competent enough to be a threat. Most play with friends and many don't even bother telling when the killer leaves. Sure you'll definitely get a "No one's coming .-.", but I would argue the lack of that (or requiring a perk) is what makes solo que so frustrating sometimes. You don't get downed in solo que. You may not get saved or you may be farmed and going by some killer mains, they genuinely want you looping them and avoiding them all match. Not sure if some of the people here are self aware.

Yeah, but killer mains are more likely to withstand a hit, than survivors. Just look at how many survivors ragequit, as opposed to how many killer ragequit.
When something doesnt go their way many survivor (obviously not all of them), will just say "######### it", and leave. Killers generally suck it up better.
@ABannedCat Killers don't rage quit as much 'cause they lobby dodge. P3 Claudette team? Dodge. Everyone has an item? Dodge. This player is really good? Dodge. If killers didn't see what they were facing (and therefore dodging) before hand, they'd be DCing far more than they currently are. Which they do. Chased someone all game and everyone got out? DC. Chase someone and didn't catch them within 2 minutes? DC.
Using this as an argument as to why killers are "thicker skin" is nothing but misguided.
-
I wanted to be a perk and I'm a Kate main. ^^
It's also her only perk that's good on it's own. >>
