It's late! xD I'm a night owl. @Ember_Hunter Gn! Sweet dreams.
-
@TreemanXD I can't remember the weirdest I've seen and usually catch it and change it. Sometimes when I use google voice, it doesn't get what I'm saying, though. XD Was trying to tell my mom that I was on my way home and it sent "what's the, what's the" instead. xD; No idea why.
-
@TreemanXD Oh, I know. xD It's tried autocorrecting to words or names I've never used before.
-
@TreemanXD OH. FUN. LMAO. I thought you were saying you had Finn play it and I was like "Am I supposed to know Finn?" xD Gotta love auto-correct.
-
@Ember_Hunter I just did my Killer side from some other traits I have that relates to me. Does the perk work when people use Bond or is it when survivors can see the killer (like alert/kindred)?
@MistressChara I came up with the idea 'cause Dwighty boy posted a survivor version first. @LCGaster actually made a killer version, too, on that post and I thought it'd be a good idea to make a forum post for it. ^^
I thought Did I Scare You? would go really well with Monitor and Abuse.
Your perks sound interesting. Lovely Charm would be neat for additional info.

The standards are set for middle and lower level players because that's the bulk of the player base. They're adjusting the game so that the majority won't be smacked in the face 'cause they're very likely to just up and leave if things get too unfair to them (especially newbies). They're also adjusting what's required so that really good players are expected to do more, too. I personally think they're doing the best they can. These types of games are really hard to balance perfectly and it's pretty close to good.
Playing Killer isn't as rough as it once was. They've done a lot to improve it like removing pallet vacuum, some pallets from the map, increasing pick up time, re-spawning hooks, etc.
-
@TreemanXD Who's Finn?

Arguing on a forum like this generally requires some tough skin, and survivors generally lack that, as opposed to killer mains. So naturally you will see more killers here.
@ABannedCat I thought it was that Killers had more to complain about. I don't really think either side is inherently more or less thick skinned. The bigger issue is people's unwillingness to debate and use of ad hominem and similar things.

What do you mean "aren't getting dedicated servers" it is not something you get it is the way the games are hosted. If your internet is bad and you play killer all the time (which is what I assume you means by not getting dedicated servers) then you are lagging out every survivor that gets into your lobby. How is it fair that one side has to deal with ######### games because you have ######### internet. Dedicated servers will make the game better after they have settled because there will be no more "killer hit when they shouldn't have because they are hosting" no more "rubberbanding survivors because their connection to the killer is spicier than someone else's" and no more lag switchers.
@Black_Fence Correct me if I'm wrong @CronaWins, Crona probably lives in an area that isn't getting its own dedicated server like Australia. Also wanted to say we may not know how bad it'll be. It still may be close enough and strong enough that you won't lag.
-
@TreemanXD SC isn't needed. It wastes time and is more of a safety thing. I'd rather have other perks like DH and Bond. Those two are more core. Having SC really doesn't matter. Most end up wasting time with it.
The amount of times I see someone SCing instead of going for a save, instead of doing a gen, instead of hiding from BBQ (in lockers). There's so many better perks and, as survivor, you can go a while without being healed if you have the build for it.
Had a game where I was injured, trying to work on a gen. Everyone else were SCing, getting found again, being chased, getting down and slugged. The game went until I finally got caught, but I was going for a while.

Hey, guys! Back from work. ^^ How is everyone?

@Hoodedfengm1n They have nothing to do with each other. I'm just a spiteful person who will drag everyone down with me if I go down.
*Peasant will remember that AND TAKE YOU DOWN WITH THEM @Peasant
I love the *_____ will remember that* when they like die a scene later. It's like "Oh, really?"

I'll miss you until you come back three days later.

@PhantomMask20763 And showing your dominance.

Ok I can set the time to 4:30 eastern
I'll be getting ready for work, but maybe I'll be able to drop by.

I've seen someone wear a massive jacket with short shorts before and it was really cute. 💜

I have work at 5:30, so I'll probably miss it

Hate the player, not the character. Not all will be bad, but it's a popular character, so you're likely to run into more bad ones since that's how that works.

@fluffybunny is that a legion wearing a Kate mask or a Kate wearing a legion outfit? :b
@TreemanXD Let's find out! One, two, three...

Legion Kate. o/

If killer camps you go fix a gen and escape for free leaving him with 0 points.
Dumb survivors often 'muzt saev tommate' give away easy 4ks and tons of points. Survivors make camping viable, not killers.
Is it "If the killer camps you, go fix a gen" or "if the killer camps, you go fix the gen"? The first would be asking the hooked person to do a gen. I'm just imagining someone trying.

during the ceremony i ask everyone to wear the legions mask to honor them
@friendlykillermain Kate needs a Legion outfit. All the survivors need one. ;w;
-
@friendlykillermain He hasn't died. He's simply evolved. Into Slakoth jk XD
I really don't 100% hate the changes. There's some things I'd like changed, but it isn't awful as a whole.
-
@TreemanXD Will the real Legion please stand up? We're going to have a problem here.

Better quality of my funeral atire:

I kinda missed the "fun" part of playing as Legion after the changes...
@PigNRun When I played as Legion, it still felt good. There's some stuff I'd want changed/tweaked (vaults being one of them), but they aren't nearly as bad as everyone's making them out to be. It was still fun to play as Legion.

@fluffybunny you stole my idea! XD
I'm like Gengar. x3 I eat dreams. Ideas can be dreams too lol @TreemanXD
-
@Peasant So the last would be like a stronger Blood Warden? There'd have to be two totems 'cause killers could just camp one.
-
I don't think Legion is dead, but I gotchu.
You're supposed to arrive to funerals covered in blood, right?

i personally dont have a problem with a pallet stun depleting the power, as you shouldnt go for the M1 first hit anyways and gotta bait out the drop to vault and hit them. it also provides them with the ability to end your frenzy and dont have their entire team getting put into the deep wound effect.
the next points we both agree on, until we come to the locker change. looking at it from your perspective certainly makes more sense, even though i think its just coincedence that legion got that perk, yet it does make sense.
however, where i really have to disagree on is the mending change. yes, it would be nice to spot mending survivors within a 28m range with Nurses Calling, but my main problem is, that the survivors will simply not mend at all while in a 32m radius to you and instead focus on rushing the gens. this not only makes the whole deep wound concept less effective and also denies you the ability to go for another chainattack, as anyone you would spot with your killerinstinct is already in the deep wound effect, therefore they will not be displayed while rushing the gens. i do think my suggestion for that would fit in that nicely.
You make a good point. I hadn't thought of that.
My initial reaction was "why? .-.", but I thought about it a bit and suppose it would make his perk stronger on him inadvertently. Was it nerfed for that reason? Probably not. I've seen so many complain about being found in a locker (which I had no issue with. It's like, just adapt), so it was probably due to the complaints.
Well, I don't think they can solo out someone working on gens, for instance. The plague, for instance, affects running, too. I didn't have a game where a survivor didn't mend, though I was also chaining hits and running away from the ones I was hitting first and second. If I didn't see anyone, I went for the chase. Still, DW really messes up your screen and could put survivors in a bad spot where they may not be able to see you if you come at them from an angle, for instance.
-
@Hoodedfengm1n Karma and calm would probably need a cool down. The Hex sounds interesting. Like a yellow mori without the offering (and like a debuff when people are killed). Survivors would probably go looking for it the moment they see mangled, though, unless they're close to end game and think they can get out.
@PhantomMask20763 Oh, that would be cool. Would be really strong for mind games.
Or have a cool down of some sort.
And I got that it was like MoM. c:
-
@TheGameZpro3 Hehe, you gave me the ideas.
I thought of making a Hex perk, but I personally don't like them (I don't like destroy-able perks too much), so I opted for something else. I could see Confusion trolling the heck out of people and that'd be funny.
I can just imagine people being like "OMG, stop failing. You're making him faster" lol I'm easily jump scared, too.
Optimist may be really strong, not sure.
-
@Alther_Primus Oh, sorry. I thought you were saying Legion was high low tier. I think the normal frenzy is fine with the increased duration, though a little faster certainly wouldn't hurt I think. The vaults are really clunky, though. I agree.
LOL, right? I don't like playing nurse. ;w;
-
I'm pretty sure they're making adjustments to make play fair/fun for both sides. Maybe there will be buffs following or some of the changes will be retracted.
-
The vault speed is slower and their FF speed is slower, too (but you have it for longer). They're faster in their normal speed, though. I'm hoping the devs will adjust the vault speed to be a bit quicker before it goes live.
-
@Alther_Primus They're low middle right now imo and would be set with a few fixes. The FF vaults need to be increase (even just a bit), a pallet stun and M1 swing shouldn't reduce your FF, along with some other things. I wouldn't say he's low tier, though. He's feeling pretty good and I'm hopeful he'll get some adjustments before he goes live.

Look, Legion got removed from the game, you can still play Pig tho.
Remove your NOED and stop trying to get kills with her on the end game just as you used to do, if you want someone killed, put a trap on them and just keep following while crouched, since the timer is now TR based, you can ensure kills with that.
@Bug_Reporter Legion isn't removed. They're fine for the most part. As for your advice, yes. Follow this advice if you want 1 kill and 1 kill only.
-
@se05239 I learned a new word. ^^ You only have one, though?
-
I actually think that would make him worse. What DW does is require survivors to mend. Removing that aspect of it would be removing the pressure that came with forcing that and you wouldn't be able to see people after applying the pressure, too. Is the suggestion to make it so the first hit would injure, therefore could possibly down? 'Cause that'd be broken. It's a free first hit for a reason.

@Mellow7 said:
This is why stuff doesn't get fixed in this game, because of troll posts like this...
@Mellow7 I don't think they're trolling. They gave their own perspective and even gave some feedback for change. When I played Legion, it felt really nice and smooth, too. Of course there are things I hope to be addressed before it goes live, but that doesn't mean I can't appreciate what I see as some positive changes (movement speed, increased FF time).
-
@TreemanXD I hope you have popcorn for me. :I
-
I like most of the changes and agree with your list of changes you'd like, though I'd add to that that the pallet vaults are too slow (and laggy? I think) and having to wait for a full bar for FF could be changed (half seems fair to me).
-
@TreemanXD Your mori would be politely tapping someone on their shoulder lmao
-
Dedicated servers will be fine. You have to remember that most of your friends are playing on computers that probably can't handle hosting multiple connections. It could be bogging them down. Also KYF is probably set up differently, too. Dedicated Servers would be good for the health of the game. That way low ping killers don't have to worry about screwing over the people in their lobby and you'll no longer have the concern of lag switches.

I've been gaming since I was like 4 or 5. Even though I have a good memory of my early years (I vividly remember parts of my first year of life, my first birthday, and an aquarium trip I made while three years old) I can't remember what my first game was. T~T
I'm pretty sure it was the original Tomb Raider (I absolutely loved that game even though the monkey enemies scared the daylights out of me) for the PlayStation 1, but it also could have been Frogger, Tekken 3, or Rugrats: Search for Reptar.
I also played Army Men 3D (a game which honestly made a huge impression on my mental development), but I remember struggling to swap out a disc with my chubby kid fingers for the Army Men 3D disc the first time I played it so I know that wasn't my first game.
I'll stop talking if y'all don't want to hear about smol me's formative gaming years. :P
@TheRockstarKnight You're fine, Rocky. c: Thinking back to when I was younger, video games was a source of entertainment for me, but it was also a source of belonging and respite, if that makes sense. So many fond memories.
