Ain't no way bhvr is gonna do all of those things, especially number 3.
I hope BHVR are in good relationship with resident evil still. Be cool to get a green light in making nemesis actually cool. Xeno has a similar ability + slowdown with the flame throwers and has mobility. I know they won’t do much but it be so cool to make nemesis not boring.

What would you nerf to compensate the new ability and getting an additional zombie?
adding basekit counter measures for the zombies instead of relying on flashlights. Imagine stuff like self defense knives or tasers survivors can use to stun the zombies. Be like how you interact with zombies in re when you are out ammo and just trying to walk down the hall

Give him more zombies and a new ability so Nemesis is able to sprint.
Honestly he needs a sprinting ability so bad. He’s such a boring character for being nemesis. It be cool if it was like fly for vecna but he runs and can jump vaults and pallets. It will Be awesome. A cool item can be a passive item like being able to have counter measures like in the games and knock down the zombies ( not killed since the head is still intact ). You have a flashlight to stun the zombies and it sucks that you need to bring an item before hand to combat the zombies. If they do that he can get a 3rd zombie. He just a missed opportunity the way he is know

I'm not too sure how Myers, Pig and Ghostface have a chance on the map as like I've said that middle area is incredibly strong and you will need to chase in that rea as there can be sometimes 2 gens, one near Main Hall entrance and one upstairs in the middle. Doctor "maybe" is okay as he has the anti loop potential but the Shift W can still happen outside + at stairs so again these two areas are a problem which I am addressing in this post.
Well I personally find those killers easier on rpd since it’s always static and easy to perdict where survivors are going. Only killer I play that RPD actively sucks is bubba

Who else sees a map offering for this map or see it as the match is starting and think to yourself "this is gonna be a snoooooze" I personally, despite being a RE fan really dislike the map design in DBD. The middle staircase area is just way too no brainer safe due to a forced pallet break which can then lead to survivors going into the West Office room which also has a must break pallet. This chase alone has the potential to waste upwards of 45 seconds. Then you have the outside area near gate of Main Hall you either take the Hall entrance and they hold Shift W into the Fire Escape or the opposite, again can lead to a chase what wastes too much time for no effort in chase required from the Survivor.
I'm wondering if a potential fix to these map design issues could be a ledge at the top of Main Hall stairs you can jump off to potentially catch up a Survivor chasing around that area but could also lead to Balanced Landing plays so it's a change to benefit both sides. Then also at East Office have a hole blown into the wall or something so you don't have to go all the way around just leading to a Shift W.
Thoughts? What would you like to see added/removed/changed to the map is anything?Out of all the maps I have problems with it makes RPD look decent. I loath springwood and garden of joy. This map makes weak killers better like myers doctor pig ghost face etc. I have a soft spot for this map because of both re2 OG and the remake. It’s crazy how 1:1 it is

The stuff could be ironed out faster, if the devs weren't focused on releasing as many chapters per year as possible, with most of them having samey powers and a plethora of issues that would not happen if they let the chapter in the oven longer.
It’s a business in the end of the day. In rainbow six siege instead of releasing 4 updates with operators they released 2 in 2024. The 2 update slots were used on some of the most outdated stuff like recruit mode and black beard ( which is basically like the Freddy of that game since he was OP at launch then a joke for years ). If Ubisoft did that maybe there is a world BHVR does that. But with the cash cows that are license chapters I doubt they will ever sacrifice 3 months without easy money for the pick rate of reworked perks to go up 1%

Please either restore the rarity of map-ban offerings or implement a system where map-specific offerings are returned if a map-ban occurs. For killers, one of the key aspects of enjoyment is strategizing different perk combinations tailored not only to each killer but also to each map. Allowing map bans to easily negate this strategic element is not a healthy experience for the killer side.
You kinda explained why the rarity was brought to a common brown addon. No one side should rig the game to their favor so specifically . Imagine balanced landing survivors bringing you do eryies of crow.

Nowhere to hide doesn’t make chase easier or make the game easier
Aura reading is one of the most impactful in terms of making a game easy actually, because it gives you perfect gamesense for free and your opponent can never truly know you can see them. If a survivor positions poorly and you see their aura, that’s a free tag/down. If a killer positions poorly and you see their aura, that’s free distance. It also is useful in chase on killers with mobility like nurse or blight since for some odd reason the aura range follows you.
Don’t get me wrong - I love my aura reading and I don’t think it is only for bad killers like OP suggests but let’s not downplay how good this perk can be.
This perk is good obv. Its good for not wasting time looking for stealthy survivors who have fixated and walk the second they hear the terror radius. It get chases started and keeps the killer engaged instead of wandering around. BBQ gets chases started, FTTE gets chases started, alien instinct get the chase started. If you are good at chase they can have 4 aura reading perks and you can loop them while they lose all the gens because of lack of gen perks. After the initial surprise hit from the killer finding you standing near a rock you shouldnt fall for it again. Even with the moving aura you will hear them walking thus start chase with no surprise. Aura perks that you should be complaining about that do make chases easier are im all ears, predator, zashin tatics and weave attunement. These make chase easy due to no mind games working. Everything is better on those two thus being permeant residences and only residence of S tier.

yeah but let's be honest, stealth is also strategical part of this game (stealthing 4th stack of Grim, stealthing during Oni's power, stealthing while on death hook etc.).
NTH removes any gamesense related aspect of killer tracking survivor by logical clues near a gen, and is just a pure nuts on killers like Nurse.
Yeah it is strategical part of the game. If a killer has no aura perks and only slow down and you decide to stealth the 4th grim stack they are out of luck. Killers also know this strategy and are willing to bring a perk for that not to happen. Myers and oni playes know that players will hide so nowhere to hide is a smart thing to bring. The second the survivors here the terror radius they walk away to a rock or somewhere and the killer goes there and looks around while survivors shuffle around rocks. That is the smart thing to do if you know a killer doesn't have NTH but killers know survivors do this. Everything is nuts on nurse. When considering if something is balanced nurse cannot be part of the equation because everything is good on her even bitter murmur is good on her.

Also this perk entirely kills any stealth (and perks that were about being stealthy) aspect of the game, back in the day you could hide near generator and it was fun as you tried to not be spotted by the killer.
But now it's meta, so killer just kick the gen, apply Pop ofc and you are instantly revealed, because why not.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3869690#Comment_3869690
Nowhere to hide doesn’t make chase easier or make the game easier
Sure, this perk makes game actually HARDER for the killer.
And killers bring this perk so much because - of course - they love to waste perk slots and love their games to be harder <3
It gets chases started. I can run this on myers and chase will not be any easier. Coup and bam will makes chase easier. nowhere to hide just gets chase started rather than just holding w looking for someone. Killers don't like being bored so surprise surprise stealthy players bore them and are willing to sacrifice 1/4 of there perk slots for that not to happen.
-
@KueenKara said:
Listen up nowhere to hide is for terrible killers. Like you cant find survivors so you use the perk and it plays the game for you like it is op no cooldown nothing you just kick gens and see all survivors like crazy to me if survivors had a perk like work on gen for 5 secs to see killer for 5 secs and keep regetting on the gen killer mains would be going crazy.
Nowhere to hide doesn’t make chase easier or make the game easier. Nowhere to hide just makes chase happen more which is the fun part. The most boring part for killer is trying to find immersed survivors who hide all game. Especially if you want to spread hook and are forced to tunnel because you don’t want to actually play the game ( chase ) since doing gens is also boring and being chased is fun. Nowhere to hide should only make you angry if you play stealthy which isn’t even an effective way to play.

I was going through my head which I can't even begin to cover it all but……
This game still needs so many killers either adjusted, balanced, or reworked entirely.
Maps need updates and reworks desperately.
All Perks on both sides really need a comb through. Most need to be buffed.
Graphics need to be updated.
In game general bugs still need to be ironed out.
Houndmaster's still needs attention. The dog is still buggy, snug gets stuck, still pulls survivors away from me, decides not to search, the search detection zone is still too small. I will ask snug to vault, and he doesn't. Of course, when I don't ask him to vault at times, he does…
Plague is a weird hot mess with her bugs.
Certain models of survivors really need to be updated in their graphics
The solo queue experience still needs a lot of work. Survivors should know which perks are activated for certain situations.
There's just so much that needs to be done and while I am all for the new content that keeps coming, it's just getting harder and harder to keep up with all of this stuff. To be honest - that's the issue, it's falling behind and some of it just gets swept under the table especially if it doesn't have an initial $ on it. Such as Freddy's Rework. I presume that's why it took so long to finally get changes such as these that we have on the PTB right now and sadly, they are changes that our main Freddy Player GeneralV its extremely disappointed in.
I can NOT imagine waiting 6 years for your beloved Killer you admire to be reworked only to be so saddened by the changes…you lose hope. I truly feel for him.
Please BHVR - SLOW DOWN.
This game has a lot of stuff to iron out especially with old content however slowly they are improving it. Small things like Bubba getting purple chili basekit ,healing perks getting buffed, long cooldown perks getting buffs ( TOT, oppression, dragons grip, machine learning,). Perks like leverage and thwack went from useless to pretty good. I am looking forward to see what improvements and buffs they have for 2025

Getting out of the dreamworld is pretty easy since they can use any clock and manually waking up doesn’t take longer for each time you do it. They got to revert the pallets obviously being fake and stunning Freddy.

So, we recieved the new changes for Freddy, and they seem…. interesting, to say the least.
Developer Update | January 2025 - BHVR
So, my thoughts are this:
Merging pallets and snares and making them work like Clown bottles was expected. Nothing to really say here.
The Snare changes seem really weird. Like, sending out a DbD equivalent of a Roomba was not something I’d expect. I’ll have to play it first to see. Making them also affect awake survivors is… a choice.
I assume the pallet changes are added on top of what we have already, or at least hope so. Could be quite decent. Yet again, them affecting awake survivors is an odd choice.
Teleport changes are all around decent. Along with the new mechanics surrounding healing, it seems like the devs want Freddy to be an anti-heal killer. Could be a nice thing, but I doubt that survivors won’t start to apply the same treatment here as they did with Plague and Legion.
Alarm Clock changes are eh, but one thing that is missing significantly is the removal of waking up via failed skill checks. That should happen, asap.
The new Red Paint Brush seems nice, but removing the part where it disables waking up by falied skill checks is a disapointment.
I’m going to love it if I’m reading everything right. I hope they didn’t take away cat block that would suck.

not everything was revealed. I hope Fire up got a big buff aswell

Freddy is not going to have a rework, they will be moderate changes, do not expect them to change his power
Yeah probably not a power redo. Still an update to his addons, snare speed placement, teleport to complete gens and basekit pallets would be better than nothing. Billy got overdrive in his update and clown got the yellow bottles. So maybe Freddy will get a new thing he doesn’t have at all like brining people manually into the dreamworld. Like the old days

It's been eight months since I made a bug report about Game Afoot. I don't want to make another one because there's like three bug reports about game afoot anyway. I want to post about it here instead to draw more attention (and hopefully fix) this issue.
Special pallet breaks including killer powers, perks, and I assume event pallet breaks if they are ever coming back do not trigger the haste status effect one should gain when breaking a pallet in this manner. This wouldn't be as egregious if both the perk itself AND the wiki both state that you should get haste no matter how you break the pallet, even after eight months of this perk not working as intended. Either fix the issue or change the description.Thwack works with killer powers. I think it didn’t for a while. It’s an easy fix that would make gameafoot good on pallet eaters

lowering the cooldown on current ultimate weapon would be nice buff . 60 seconds is way too long for the effect it has.
-
I played almost nothing except myers for like a month after the buff and I never ran out of stalk. I ran out of stalk before the buffs but right know the amount of stalk points survivors have and the stalking from far away buffs make playing him way better. My problem is that they didn’t do anything to make him stronger during tier 3. I hope they come back to him somewhere this year. Maybe add regenerating stalk points or something
-
100% agree. MOG, and specialist need a bunch of chests and the newly buffed pharmacy makes chests perks more common. Even if two survivors bring one there’s not enough chests. Adding 2 to default or more should happen. Hoarder and human greed would also get more value

Hello everyone! Hope It's a Happy Holiday for you, it's currently the Morning of New Year's Eve for me.
Awhile after the FNAF Collab was announced, we were told to expect more details around New Years. Given the timeframe and generally mysterious nature of this tease, I'm curious to find out what people think is going to be revealed.
This might be our first look at a teaser or models, and I am atleast expecting Springtrap to be confirmed as the Killer, maybe with a reference as to how it's going to tie into the Anniversary this year?
Maybe we'll get survivor and map information, but I digress. What are you thinking/hoping to see?
I am excited for sure. I was 12 when the first game came out in 2014 and am 22 now. I hope the chapter is based around FNAF 1-4. Modern FNAF isn’t my thing but I bet Scott knows what games people want adapted.

yeah this game is terrible for new players I had my sister and friend both say they want to play dbd with me just to give up when they are expected to play well, know what to do with 38 killers all with there own counter play/ addon combos, keep up with patch notes, and metas not even mentioning the hundreds of perks. The only reason I was able to do it was because I was unemployed and had nothing better to do than watch videos talking about killers and what to do as/ against, best perks for each side, and look at the PTB . even if you get into the game there is so much history that dbd YouTubers reference like old metas, killer designs, etc. I think a extremely basic how to play/play against card for each killer would be something. Like for example
Myers
As killer: Try to hide behind obstacles like rocks for you can stalk survivors and reach tier 3 that lets you down people with basic attacks. Will in tier 3 you have a slight boost in vaulting.
As survivor: be aware of your surroundings and watch out from being stalked. When myers is in tier 3 try to stay out of sight.
Something basic like this would of helped my friend before he said f it and returned the game.
I think also categorizing the perks would be useful for new comers like Generator slow down, chase perks, aura perks, etc
-
I play GTA online when not playing dbd. As survivor knowadays I don’t expect to ever escape and as killer I always expect to get maybe a 1-2k during events. During 2v8 it was almost impossible to play a normal game without people being mean.
-
I would love slender man, Jason, and terminator. As a kid I thought slenderman was the scariest thing ever. Jason is obviously a classic that would be awesome to be in the same game myers, bubba, and Freddy are in. I always thought terminator (1984) was scary. Not so much the ones afterward but the first one felt so tense with an unemotional powerful machine hunting you down. Would love to see that somehow. However my number 1# killer I would want would be the American psycho. I read the book and watched movie and he is such a cool horror character.

I actually enjoy Myers now, just lurking behind a corner and stalking a Survivor without them having a clue feels kinda nice since they buffed his long range stalk.
Lock of Hair feels fantastic on Myers, having 100 seconds of Tier 3 with only 2.5 seconds of extra stalk on your first Tier 3 doesn't really feel like a downside, and the fact that every Survivor has way more Evil is also really nice. You can still slap on Monitor for an 8 metre TR with a 99'd Tier 2 and pop Tier 3 on a Survivor without them realizing you were there.
Tombstone's feel better too, yes it takes way longer to get to your first Tier 3, but once you get to Tier 3 it's practically over, because any other Tier 3 will take you the regular 5 seconds of stalk to get back. Tombstone Piece also only requires more stalk on your first Tier 3 and after that, it's the same as before, but with all Survivors having more stalk, you can get to Tier 3 back more often.
The only thing which is unfortunate is that he didn't get much of an Add-on pass so he's still stuck with some meme or bad/redundant Add-ons.
Yeah he is fun to play with machine learning and pwyf. I feel myers has a good bone structure and just needs some more meat added. When I first played this game I thought myers’s tier system was so intimidating that when you start the match you feel that he is getting stronger and stronger. Obviously once I figured that he was unfortunately one of the most weakest killers in the game that went away. I just want the tiers to feel better. Nemesis had that same feeling but he does get better with each tier.

Leatherface is probably my least played killer of all time, by a longshot. He's just not interesting. He goes on a big cooldown after he uses his power and misses. Has to wait for his charges to come back. It's easy to bump into stuff, which gives you a massive stun. The speed builds up too slow after you start sawing. Commiting to the chainsaw and the survivors knowing that means that they can fake you out at places and get it your head. You'll spend so much time trying to chainsaw them, being screwed over by any 1 window within a 50 meter radius, when you might have been able to down faster with 2 M1s.
In the grand scheme of things, he can be countered by pre-dropping pallets, bluffing and greeding one occasionally, baiting Bamboozle if he's got it, and 5 gens later he's got 1-2 hooks.
Myers is also countered by pre thowing and windows. For me when playing bubba is that I can destroy pallets easily. My mandatory perk for bubba is obviously bamboozle. My mandatory perk for myers is pwyf. Why bother looping when you are faster than them amiright. I just want myers to be better hope to see him in the next roadmap

People use that trite cliche all the time but it really doesn’t mean much. The nature of DbD is divisive; it is an asymmetrical game with two sides that have fundamentally opposed goals. That creates two camps and there is no way around it. Even if you play both sides—like most players—you’re going to prefer one role over the other and/or come to believe that one role is underpowered.
To your question, those perks have synergy and if you search Dramaturgy Finesse on YouTube you’ll see how. You said you saw two different players using this combination—presumably as killer—but you didn’t find synergy when you tried it. What did you notice about them?Long story short, they allow survivors to greed more efficiently and can make killers whiff hits as they’re an unpredictable combination. Killers can’t easily time a hit against them unlike with other exhaustion perks or resilience, etc.
Well I noticed nothing that’s why I asked. I killed them all and since I was playing bubba I out ran there dramaturgy and then when they finessed I wasn’t near them so it didn’t matter. Maybe if I was playing Freddy or myers It would’ve been mega effective.

In a perfect world yeah Freddy will get a way more creative power that is completely fresh and new that takes advantage of his dreamworld by adding some really creative illusions or something on Freddy Kruger can have like in the movies. But we are talking about 2024 BHVR they don’t have new powers to be giving left and right. The twins rework was a disaster, so was the trickster rework. And skull merchant was gutted because they didn’t like the rework they gave her. I highly doubt we’re getting an overhaul. At most we will see basekit pallets, teleport to completed gens, and red paint brush basekit. I can also see them reusing mechanics from OG Freddy like pulling survivors in the dreamworld and make a combination with the current Freddy. "Small changes" if nearly gutting a killer counts as "small changes" then I dread what would be considered major.
I said a bunch of small changes that add up. Nothing new added or complete power redo
110%—> 115%
6 knives to 8 knives
Throwrate changesChanging how many hits get main event
Changes that on there own are small changes that all add up to a “rework” but not really since nothing of trickster changed just number changes no new mechanics. He still throws knives. Freddy will receive this treatment 100% a bunch of small changes like basekit pallets, 4.0m/s while placing snares, teleport to completed gens, and timer to teleport reduced will all add up to be a “rework” which I’m fine with.

And then a scan line. 💀
She still had drones as her power. Freddy went from pulling survivors in and seeing auras to not having any of that and having pallets or snares.

Doubt it. Recent Rework have all been a bunch of small changes. Trickster rework was just a bunch of small changes. Only time a killer really had a rework that changes the power entirely was Freddy but that was long ago. At most we’re getting snares + pallets and teleporting to completed gens
