I've got a case recently where I was aiming at the head of a surivor repearing a gen, over some knee high obstacles, and the harpon just didn't connect... that was pretty weird.
Happens all the time.

It's just servers/latency that causes that.Happened to me too
He's borderline unplayable. He's like Blight in that sometimes your ability works properly and sometimes it doesn't, and that difference can cost you the game.

My only issue with the animation is that it isn't too different from the healthy one, which makes me have to double check every time by the blood on the floor if someone is injured, or having to look at the HUD, which honestly, I'd rather not have to
Or, spoiler, you can see if they're bleeding and making groans of pain.

@Terro said:
I hate to break it to you but using resident evil remaster isn't helping your case. The animations aren't good in those games but they get a pass cuz they're old games.
So double standards. Got it.

But why do they run, like they are desperately looking for a toilet?
Because that's how you choose to see it. People who say that just have a dirty imagination.

I think he's supposed to be covered in sticky webbing or something, such as the stuff that you get covered in when traversing the gateways between our world and The Upside Down.
-
As suspected, bothering to use his yellow bottle can usually only hurt you. What some people call a "new and interesting" rework, I call a lot of extra work. You're much better just playing Clown normally with only the purple bottles. I'm disappointed.
-
I also thought those pants were unimpressive. Now I know why.
-
There's nothing to sleep on.
-
I've seen the most basic of loops be unmindgameable even with Bloodlust 3. It literally comes down to the survivor getting really lucky and guessing the right move repeatedly.
-
Makes sense to me.

Hacker.
-
Whereas everyone else is "Oh my gosh! This is the worst thing to ever happen to this game!" It's pretty amusing.
-
When I saw a glyph as survivor, I could interact with it but the bar wouldn't go all the way so I couldn't collect it for the challenge.

Boy oh boy, I'm in a mood, so here. We. Go!
But I've already adjusted to it, and that means pretty much anyone can.Just because you adjusted to something that is bad doesn't mean that the bad thing is good. I can adjust to a belt being on too tightly and rubbing me wrong while doing my job, but that doesn't mean it's a good thing. In any case, it's not a matter of "adjusting to bad". It's a matter of something needing improvement and a passionate community voicing that issue. If anything, it's a good thing that the community is so together in bringing this up, because it shows they care and that the normal bias issues aren't present. Furthermore, UIs/HUDs are a big deal in games. The original UI was very well designed on account of it's simplicity. The new one being all over the place and scattered looks like you're trying to play a game while you also have the K/D score pulled up on the side. It's silly.
But to say that the game is "unplayable", to say that it's "ruined", to say that it's "dead" because of a UI change is just ridiculous.Yes. It is ridiculous. It's also a tactic that goes as far back as all of mankind to make an overblown response to something in order to express your feelings on it. Some of the greatest minds in history have used this tactic for their own ends. A bunch of people playing cat and mouse on the internet is by no means above such methods.
Y'all are making the pushback against the Nurse nerf, the DS nerf, the bloodlust removal, the Balanced nerf, and everything else seem like nothing compared to this. It's a global issue that resonates with the entire community. Almost NOBODY likes the new HUD. It's barely debated, it's just accepted as being bad. As stated earlier, this is actually a big deal, as the community is almost entirely behind the opinion. For the devs, this is actually a bit of a good thing, because they can see EVERYONE disliking the change and go "Oh, this isn't some bias thing with one side or another, everyone agrees we need to change it". That gives them a clear and obtainable goal without having to worry about upsetting people with a good fix. Other changes, such as balance changes, will always have fans and detractors based on how they are affected. The HUD is almost ALL detractors. It's a clear sign to the devs that they need to improve it.
If y'all were up in arms about actual important issues the game has instead of being petty and choosing sides all the time, I'm sure DBD would be much better right about now.People are "up in arms" about all kinds of issues, all the time. This one simply has global appeal. It's also not THAT hard to fix. I have personally worked on UIs/HUDs in the past, and am currently designing one for a small project. They aren't hard to manipulate so long as you know what you are working with. If BHVR can fix this and make a new layout that everyone agrees is an improvement, then some of the more divisive issues stand a better chance of being addressed, as the devs have shown they are more up to the task.
In closing, you're shaming people for wanting quality out of something they paid for. You're shaming them for agreeing that something is bad and needs improvement. You're telling people they should just accept things that are not up to standard. If everyone had YOUR mindset, the community would be dull and unable to bring up potential changes to improve the game, because they'd be too busy "adjusting to it". You're mindset and actions are the problem, not the people that rightfully pointed out an issue with global appeal.
Well I was having a discussion and you're having a character analysis.

I bet it's to make us grind more. The higher rank you are, the more bloodpoints you get. This isn't a bug, it's a feature.

Right. Console players are soulless. They leave you for dead in endgame, they never show mercy.
The player base is the same between the platforms. High level players play well and noobs play noobish. It doesn't make a difference what console or PC they're using.

are you new to the game? hatch used to be much worse and i'd say it's pretty fair in it's current state. you can slug for the 4k if it means that much to you, my man.
I used to care about getting the 4k. I don't really care anymore because hatch makes the 4th kill a total toss up. I just don't like the toxic guy getting away, and I don't like that 1 kill being the difference between pipping and not pipping.

This isn't exclusive to a 3-gen. Given a lack of repair power compared to map pressure, at some point working on any generator can be a way to get yourself hooked/Killed as a Survivor.
Well duh. But I'm tired of survivors saying 3-genning is "unbeatable" and stuff.

that's a horrible idea but i'm not surprised since it's coming from tru3. hatch is fine.
Hatch is perfect? Okay dude.
-
It's called a win condition. The survivors were so adamant about doing their objective, they got themselves 3-genned, which is a situation easily overcome if the survivors just play a little smart.
-
I play all the killers, some more than others z except for Nurse. If I had to choose 3, I'd say Trapper, Blight, and Pyramid Head.
-
Solos did not run OoO. It was just an overpowered tool for the SWF doom squads. Still, it was in need of this nerf.
-
I don't make these mistakes. But I know what you mean.

Console killers are, somehow, extremely bad. It’s a blanket thing. I’ve faced so many rank 1 console killers that are just.... awful. When they manage to eventually get a hook they stand there and hit the body over and over. It’s funny watching them get their first and last hook of the game every time. You can tell immediately when it’s a console killer vs pc killer. Love to get them free bold points. Makes up for the lack of altruism while playing against them
Wrong.
-
It helps when loops don't have dumb random pieces of wood sticking out whose sole purpose is to impede the survivor/killer that is running it. Looking at you, swamp maps.
-
This game has so many menu glitches, it's crazy.

Ah yes, I accidentally misjudged the distance and I wasn't able to sit at the Exit twiddling my thumbs, at best just wasting more time in the Trial, or at worst being Toxic.
All you need to know is run forward.
The smallest things in this game count. The more time I can buy, as the killer is pushing me out of the exits, the more time my teammates have unhook and to get to the other gates. You can't lecture me about wasting time when the endgame collapse is 2 whole minutes, and slower when someone is downed or hooked.

You do know killers get priority over the hatch right? If you and a survivor are in a standoff; just sit at the front side of it and the survivor wont be able to jump in it when it opens. Just don't make the mistake of hitting them if they're ontop of it.
You're taking me for a fool when I'm not, based on things I've already addressed. You are not guaranteed to be standing on the hatch when it opens. And obviously I only hit them when they're already halfway through the jumping animation and impossible to kill at that point.

what if i just go hiding, hiding for 60s is really easy especially you just need to do nothing, finding hatch actually more favored for killer
Reveal the survivor's aura I guess. If gives extra benefit to killers like Pyramid Head, but there's really no circumventing that, unless you cancel the aura reading when the killer is within a certain distance.
-
@ukenicky said:
I doubt the hatch is ever going to be removed. They say the key rework is in the works right now. Hopefully that will address the issue of keys making hatch a broken mechanic but otherwise hatch is a perfectly acceptable mechanic for the final survivor. It's pretty 50/50 since where it spawns is complete RNG.
From my experiences it almost always spawns right next to the killer so say what you will but I think the hatch's RNG factor makes it fair. Not to mention (Most) killers are faster than the survivor or have mobility actions that can help them search hatch faster than a survivor can.
If exit gates are close together, hatch is probably the only option for the sole survivor and I don't see how this is a problem other than killers being sweaty and getting overly upset over the sole survivor getting a hatch escape to which all I have to say is it's not that deep.
I already said the race to the hatch being killer favored is false. Survivor gets to vacuum in, but killer has to be right up on it to close it. If you're sniffing the survivor's hair as you're both running to the hatch, they still beat you no matter what you do. Following behind them, they get in. Try to go around them, they body block you or it takes too long, and they get in.

I think the doors are another issue in them themselves. Sometimes door placement are way too close to each other making escaping out of them impossible since the killer can stand between and watch them and the with the fact that high mobility killers can patrol even easier. So hatch with key should still somewhat be an option.
Doors are stupid for killer too. Oh I walked a few steps too far to one door instead of doubling back, now the survivor gets out, because exits only take 20 seconds to open. That's like nothing in DBD time.
-
@odra said:
okay if hatch is going next what are your idea ? what is the better endgame mechanic that could give survivor 2nd chance
Well it's Tru3's idea, of an endgame chase. If a survivor can last a minute against the killer, the gates automatically open. Something like that, instead of looking for an RNG dumb door in the ground.

No, it has to have the regular aura reveal so that it’s other function: showing you the killers aura whenever yours is revealed, means the perk always has a use.
Otherwise, if an OoO user enters a match where the killer runs NO aura reading perks or add ons, OoO wouldn’t function at all. It would be a wasted perk slot.
It wouldn't be wasted. You would know that they don't have any aura reading perks. That's like saying you don't get use out of DS because you didn't get tunneled.
-
I feel that the revealing your aura every 30 seconds thing is strange and completely unnecessary. Otherwise it's a perfect rework.
-
Spine Chill is fine as is, but Premonition needs a buff. Why would you ever run Premonition when you have Spine Chill?
-
I think someone said Spirit Fury/Enduring is OP. Even though it takes 2 perk slots and is countered by dropping pallets early.
-
No, because it's balanced now.
-
Too consumer friendly.
-
That hatch is balanced.
-
If you're playing against Nurse or OP add-ons, then it is killer sided. But everything else is survivor sided to the max.
