That's chump change when you take the bloodweb grind into account. 1 mil would be more suitable, but they have your total bp capped at 1 mil. Why?
-
Maybe one of them plays at red ranks, unless I'm thinking about a mod or someone different. The rest are straight-up rank 20s.
-
I don't know if people are misnaming it as a freeze or if I'm just experiencing something different. It doesn't cause frame drops for me but it does feel weird, like survivors are able to Dead Hard at the very last second before they get hit when they really shouldn't be able to. Either they've got a macro or it just gives them the priority and rolls back my hit. Stupid perk concept anyway.

The average speed in which gens get done.

Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit.
I disagree, but it does get old quick.

The thing I don't understand is how could they make a killer this hard to use? People say Blight is Nurse with extra steps. I'd argue it's the other way around. In theory, Nurse is the best killer in the game, but because of bad controls, we can't even use her. GG.
-
It's true of most franchises. I'm a big DBZ fan, so I'm also a big critic of it. It just goes to show that we care.

lol you make her sound like she is some predator.
”Nothing stops THE Claudette!” 😂
Because she gets free invincibility from black as night skin and cosmetics, combined with dark bushes and absence of lighting in certain corners. Why make a stealth build when you can just play Blendette?

Next gen runs smooth
I've heard a few people said it's bad even on PS5.

Yeah it would be nice wouldn’t it.
I mean, If only a perk called Corrupt Intervention and Pop Goes the Weasel ...existed.
Or a perk called Spirit Fury, which unlike DS or UB would work more than once!
Yes.. if only. 😧
Killers do run gen defence, but does that mean they never get done? No. Spirit Fury/Enduring, like I said, countered by dropping pallets early. Literally didn't read what I said.
-
She's gonna be untouched for like 3 more years, I'm predicting. Her puke's bad hit registration has been a thing pretty much since she came out. The devs just don't care about her, except for her being another character they can milk for cosmetics sales.

Yes, it is fun. I love wasting a Spirits time by making her look for me, checking behind every rock and tree then pretending to move on only to waste more time and phase back in hopes of pulling me off of a gen.
If you're not good at finding survivors, you have plenty of tools such as infectious fright, dragons grip, BBQ+ Chili, Whispers, and I forgot the name but its the one where crows reveal survivors location. If you really want easy mode, learn doctor and equip Iron Maiden. There is no hiding from him.
My favorite thing to do is abuse the killers POV in a chase and disappear. It's satisfying to know that even though I am bad, I can still waste some of their time.
I'd like to say "abuse the bad pov while you can" but we all know they're never going to fix it. I will swing in place and down you if you run inside me though.
-
They really do. You must take the aggro sometimes! If you hide every time the killer comes near you, you are forcing them to tunnel vision the other 3 survivors. If 2 survivors are doing this, he has 2 survivors to go for! If you're on death hook and you can't take the chase, go for it. But looping is way more skillful and wastes the most of the killer's time. I have had to stop playing SWF with some people because you could literally see how their stealthy, immersed playstyle caused us to lose. You will not progress as a player if you don't learn to chase, so playing in a stealthy way will hold you back massively. But people will argue to the death to justify this toxic playstyle.

This is a garbage claim.
Plenty of Red Rank Killers are on console. SpookNJukes runs this game on his PS4 without any issues and I see him nail Gunslinger shot after Gunslinger shot.
Quit blaming your equipment.
Are you serious, dude?
Of course there's red rank killers on console. But we get robbed of easy hits by BS aim dressing, 360 exploits, and fps drops all the time. I couldn't play Doctor for like a year because his fps issues were so bad. We can and will blame our equipment, because mouse and keyboard are better than controller to begin with, and we also have to deal with BHVR's ineptitude with making a decent console port. For example, me rapidly zooming in and out of Deathslinger's sights will cause bad fps. It's the smallest of things, even just playing on Midwich or Lerys, that causes the fps to drop. We're asking for 60 fps. BHVR can't even give us 30! Whatever PS4 SpookNJukes has must be godlike, either because it's a PS4 pro or he tampered with it. There is no other way you're playing an optimized version of this game on base PS4. Mine doesn't even sound like a jet engine and DBD still runs poorly. The MAIN MENU SCREEN, where it says press X, has FPS DROPS when I press X. That's when you know you're dealing with a ######### console port. GG, devs.

Then turn off cross play
So our que times and matchmaking will be even worse. Great solution.

@Phasmamain said:
Only killlers affected are slinger and huntress and nurse depending on frame rate
ALL killers are affected if there's bad frame rate, which is an ever-present feature of the console ports.
-
There 100% should be hook counters on all the survivors that killers can see too. "But that's unfair!" Why is it unfair? You just want the killer to lose track of his hooks? That way killers can hopefully forget who's on death hook, have everyone on death hook at the end of the game, and watch them all escape? You're just singling out people with memory problems who are playing the game normally. If a killer wants to tunnel, he will do it whether the hook counter is there or not. It would just be a quality of life change for killers, but we aren't even allowed that, are we?

I don't run that combo cause it rng. Ain't tryna to gamble with my perks.
Every killer perk is a gamble.
-
@GhostMaceNotCrusty said:
Oh no, now you need skill instead of relying on a perk combo. As a killer main who uses ruin undying often, I thing undying is extremely oppressive. I'm fine with the nerd and honestly I'm excited to use devour undying
Y'all are still on that "Undying/Devour is gonna be so OP" train? In your dreams maybe.
-
But survivor perks have been made specifically to counter those strategies. Could you imagine killers getting actual counters to gen rushing, early dropping pallets, etc?
-
I argued for it not being a skill check anymore, and would straight up activate if the 60-second timer was still on. I'm on console which has stuttery skill checks, especially when it's Doctor, but I've started hitting DS consistently. But some people will say "DS not needing a skill check? That's OP." Why? Why is that OP? What's the difference when most survivors hit it anyway? It would just help console players not get robbed on what's supposed to be an easy skill check.
-
Iron Will does counter Spirit. Have you seen a Spirit go against Iron Will survivors without Stridor? She gets completely destroyed because of no sounds. And because Iron Will is so popular, Spirit must assume survivors will have it and auto-include Stridor. So you're forcing her to take up a perk slot, and she's running with only 3 perks pretty much. Against survivors who don't have Iron Will, Stridor will make them super loud for some reason and confuse her. And then there's matches where there's Iron Will-less survivors AND Iron Will survivors. It makes her so stressful and confusing to play.
And I think you have that the wrong way around. Nurse is Spirit, if not killer in general, on training wheels.

Daily thread number 423 about long survivor queues. Check
So we should just ignore them?
-
No. Please don't create more survivor obsession perks. I'm tired of having to respect DS and give all 4 survivors 2 minutes each of invincibility because 1 person had an obsession perk that may or may not even be DS. It wouldn't be a problem if DS didn't hit non-tunneling killers, but it does.

@EvilJoshy said:
I feel your situation only points out how bad the game itself is on console. I hope your not suggesting we should nerf PC Nurse because your console can't keep up. It's not PC's fault the BHVR never cared for your platform. We paid for the game too. Why should we be punished because you struggle with a PC Nurse? If anything console players should be spamming threads about fixing the console version. Killers shouldn't be nerfed because the game doesn't work best on your hardware.
They delete or ignore all the console optimization posts.

You should learn how to read upcoming patch notes
Not everyone can.

With tunneling, only 1 survivor is guaranteed to lose. The rest easily escape because of gen rush. So the killer loses but 3 of the survivors win, even though they're both rushing their objectives in an unfun way.
-
Bad console optimization. I feel pressured to switch to the PC version.
-
This discussion has been done to death already. There is no chance that the new Undying, no matter what other hex it's combined with, is going to be meta or even strong.
-
Overwhelming needs a buff or a change for sure. Why would you ever run it when you could run Unnerving Presence instead?
-
Yeah it sucks that this still is not fixed. I have a feeling that my high win rate and less sweat has had something to do with the matchmaking.
-
My favorite survivors to verse are those that play well and don't need to tbag to prove it. My most hated ones are the opposite of that.

It would definitely be better, but would still be an issue. Personally I think the perk needs a full on rework
I think a lot of perks in DBD need full reworks.
-
I mean you can literally tell that just by the different cosmetics, balance changes, and survey's that word for word ask "What genre of game do you like?"
-
Hatch. If you're the last survivor alive, you get a free win.
-
Not only is there aim dressing, but it's inconsistent. So basically every killer is Blight.

Bloodhound (and Murmur) because apparently using perks that let you find survivors is hacking...
Yeah, man you're ruining their immersed gameplay. They think they should be able to hide in a bush all game, and that's why they hate Doctor so much.
-
I think it was Monstrous Shrine, because they didn't like that I actually got value out of it.
-
The most creative idea I came up with is giving her a second, different kind of trap. I know reverse beartrap is a staple of the SAW movies, but it isn't the only trap. There's rummaging through syringes, holding your breath, cutting the key out of yourself or someone else. The SAW games have loads of ideas, like the shotgun traps at doorways or the gear puzzles. There's just so much they could do with her.
-
Not to attempt escape off the hook of course.
-
I couldn't imagine maining that garbage killer.

Just because Adam's black doesn't mean he blends in like Claudette. He's tall and his clothes always poke out
But he has a black coat cosmetic and if you wear it on The Game or Shelter Woods or something, the killer can't see you.
-
It's not about looping, it's about being looped for 1-2 minutes at unmindgameable pallets, and every survivor can do that because there is no weak link on the team to abuse. And there's not much looping to be done or incentive not to camp when the gates are powered, if that's what you mean.
-
Any killer except Nurse, Hag, or Leatherface.
-
The ludicrously long fences/bushes/hedges grind my gears, and the infinitely usable house loops make me want to get off for the day.
-
Killers get nerfs, but they're called "reworks". Killers get buffed, and they're called overpowered and unnecessary changes, and will get reverted within a week to a month.
Survivors get buffs, and they're called necessary changes. Survivors or their perks get nerfed once a year, and it's said that "survivors get nerfed constantly".
That's how nerfs work.
-
The game gets "shaken up" by the simplest of stuff like graphic changes and new game mechanics from new killers. After a week, it gets old and repetitive again. This is because the same old problems stay the exact same for years on end.
-
It's easy, you just abuse latency and the crazy big attack hitbox like all Nurse players do.
-
Trapper needs to hold more traps at base, and not have to go around the map collecting them all.
Blight needs better turning at base, especially on console. It's so stupid you can negate his power by dead angleing him like Oni.
