Not a lot of people use maps. The less you use something, the less you'll know anything about its add-ons.
-
Having gone against crazy survivor teams, I was disappointed how rare it was for me to get those teams. The matchmaking needs to be improved. MMR can work, but escapes isn't a good enough indicator of skill. I could go some games without seeing the killer until the very end. Or it could be that the killer is chasing me for a total of like 3 minutes in a game, I die, yet we're not even down to 1 gen. Why am I getting matched with such unoptimal survivors?
-
It's easy to blame the game because it's in such a bad state.
-
Probably Nurse. Sometimes your mindgames work, sometimes they don't.
-
According to one of the mods, you can "just hit them".

just sounds like most people's experiences WITH mmr lol
If it's the same, then why change it?

So they did not do anything 60 seconds for keep DS? This is good value.
But you still get stunned instead of getting a hook after a chase and a down. You genuinely outplayed them, but they get a free second chance because of a technicality.

No. But better than MMR for sure.
No it won't be. Y'all forget the old matchmaking was just random. You weren't winning because you were good. It's because you 2 survivors who were good and 2 who were trash. And let's not forget the survivor games where you had to carry the whole team by yourself. How is that better?
-
@GeneralV said:
Pretty sure very few killers still complain about DS, if any.
I complain. Oops, I picked the guy up 59 seconds after he got unhooked instead of 60, after I just hooked someone else. My bad, right?
-
So if MMR goes, the game suddenly becomes fun?
-
So if those killers don't have basement, they'll just stop camping or what?

very good Jimmy so when I said that the system pushed people into using these tactics that were readily available but weren't used often because they're the most boring things next to watching sourdough rise while a toddler screams in your ear I was entirely correct so your point is null and void good talk
Nothing I've said has been wrong. Survivors want high MMR so they don't get bad teammates. Killers want high MMR because they want to face people on their skill level so they can get better. Before MMR, it was completely random. Now, there's at least a correlation in the skill of your opponents. I never said it was perfect, but MMR and bad game balance are not the same thing.
-
I don't have much time to play right now. But when I do, I either face those unbeatable teams or I think I'm facing one from the beginning of the match, and I sweat and get stressed out, only to find that it was a beatable team. You have to assume you're going against the best, because randomly you could actually go against them and not stand a chance, and that feels horrible. Why, as the killer, am I the one on edge?
-

At rank 1 you wouldn't face these teams often if at all. Now you sneeze a bit too hard, 4k maybe once too much and you get the Death Squad Groups for the next month and a half. Likewise as survivor, you escape one too many times and it's 50 shades of Nurse and Blight for the next month with a sprinkle of Ruin Undying Tinkerer PR MDR + DCB Spirit once every 30 games.
The only thing that's changed is the likelihood of you facing those opponents. MMR is separate from the game's balance.

@Aurelle said:
I've playing DBD most of the day and all I've been getting is Blight and Spirit. Please, I just want some variety. 🙁
Promote killer buffs and denounce killer nerfs. That's all you can do.
-
People are gonna attribute it to him being "OP" or because he got that Adrenaline Vial buff and now that add-on is "OP". But it's because he's the best we've got besides Nurse. Playing with him feels somewhat normal instead of being the survivors' plaything.

Yay ✨mmr✨
So glad we judge skill based on kills and escapes which in turn heavily pushes a playstyle of objective efficiency!!
The game was like this before MMR.
-
I agree. I tried to upload evidence but I'm on PS4 so I can't, and even when I tried to upload the evidence on the report section of the forums, the file type was incompatible.

Um.

It's literally intended by the creator. (The latter part of this is referring to J-flicks which were removed)
I'm just pointing out which techs can be justified as skillful and which ones that cannot.
-
Halloween Kills outfit for Myers.
Classic Nemesis.
Dr Channard Cenobite.
-
Of all the techs Blight has, why get rid of hug tech? That's actual skill which uses the physics of the game and the killer, unlike the flick tech which lets you attack in directions he's literally not supposed to be able to.
-
Survivors allow you to "get away with" using this perk, I'd say.

I’d say nodding is situational. If you tbag me at every pallet drop you can bet I’m going to be nodding at you while you are on the hook.
That's BM for BM, which is different.
-
Some characters I'm just not in the mood to play sometimes, like Huntress, Plague, Hag, Legion. Occasionally I'll enjoy playing them for several matches in a row, but most of the time I'm too stubborn to change to them for fear of not doing well with them or not enjoying them.
Trapper I can play but I got burnt out of him long ago, because I played him non-stop getting him to Prestige III WHILE trying to use all his add-ons up in between each Prestige, and that has kind of impacted my attachment to him ever since.
Trickster and Nurse I'm basically never in the mood to play. They're too hard to play on console. I don't want to argue how they're not. I also hate their power designs.
Twins, Deathslinger, Wraith, and Clown I don't want to play because they got nerfed. No motivation to play worse versions of killers that I previously enjoyed playing, and was rewarded for playing well with them. No more.
And in general, killers that are too weak to win with, which is most of them, I don't like to play for too long.
-
@Zachcjjj said:
freddy, legion, twins, doctor, hag, trickster because they are boring af
I can see Legion, Trickster, and maybe Freddy.
-
They do kill you more than killers. Why can't they at least hook trade? Why don't they run BT or body block for you? The entitled survivors don't think about any of this, and instead blame everything on the killer.
-
@WesCravenFan said:
I'm always confused what Survivors mean by Killer BM. You mean hit on hook?
Hitting on hook, nodding, bleeding you out on purpose.
-
Make it 30-33% like Botany, and it's balanced. 50% healing speed or greater, for everyone, is too much value for 1 survivor perk.

I have no idea what your argument is.
I'm saying Ruin is still very useful, especially with Undying.
Why are the hexes still up? Survivors can't figure out how to destroy them? Protecting the hexes will absolutely not work a majority of the time. Ruin can be useful, but it's a pseudo one-time perk like Corrupt because usually survivors break it very quickly. Even if it did stay up, you're not getting much out of it unless you're pushing all survivors off their gens all the time.
-
We're never going back to old Freddy, unless the devs can do something similar to his snares/pallets thing, where half his add-ons make him old Freddy and half of them are his current version.
-
@Pulsar said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2819267#Comment_2819267
Yes. They can.
You can also stop them.
How are you gonna do that? Be everywhere at once? The gens are supposed to progress, no matter how slowly. If the gens are actually at a standstill and are regressing, that is absolutely the survivors' fault.
-
So Nurse has counterplay but Artist doesn't?
-
@Pulsar said:

If Ruin stays up for a over a minute and twenty seconds, that's a W.
Not even then. Survivors CAN do gens while Ruin is up.

High mobility Killers get a lot of mileage out of them.
Much easier to defend Hexes when you down people fast and can fly over to them at a moments notice.
I disagree. Unless that's at the forefront of your thinking throughout the match, you're gonna slip up and the hex will go down anyway. It's not good just to think about defending your hex either, because then you're not concentrating on the chase or other things going on. You can win games off of camping your hex, but you'll lose far more doing that.
-
@Pulsar said:
If my Survivor queues were less than 10 minutes, I would be less salty.
There's only so many facecamping Bubba's followed by Ruin, Undying, Pain Resonance, Dead Man's Switch using Blights I can take.
Why are people still using hexes? They're so bad. And people honestly believe they're still meta.

Well, Plague has you broken all match and that hasn't been changed.
She doesn't see enough play, simple as. I don't know why. She just doesn't. She's a good killer.
-
BT and DS are more than enough. If the killer slugs while they're tunneling to wait out DS, things like Unbreakable and Soul Guard also qualify for anti-tunnel perks.
-
Survivors are very OP, but most people don't think so because they haven't scratched the surface of what optimal play can do for them. Iron Will, whether it's OP or not, is just bad design. "I'm injured, so I'm completely silent permanently." Think of a killer equivalent to that, seriously.

@AJStyIez said:
Others will pretend it doesn't exist or they've never experienced it but this has literally costed me kills/pivotal hooks by giving somebody enough distance to get to the next pallet or vault. When I get outplayed fair and square its whatever, but I personally can't help but feel robbed when somebody escapes or gets bailed out from a clear hook because the game decided I can't control my cursor by myself so it wants to
sabotageI mean 'help' me by dragging my weapon into a wall or debris on its own even though I was aiming directly at the survivorThis happens all the time to me. It's probably cost me more games than I can count.
-
That would get nerfed right away, for better or worse.
-
Absolutely unviable at high level, but she'll probably get nerfs anyway.
-
So they're next on your killer nerf chopping block?
-
A medieval castle. Outdoor of course. Hopefully nothing like Eyrie of Crows.

Sound based killer being hard countered by a single perk is fine (BHVR can't be bothered to change Iron Will)
I don't think it's fine. Just like how CoH counters M1 killers.
-
They're way too short.

Without gen grabs, what's the point of going on
It wasn't that. It's that survivors now have more info on you than you do on them, because Spirit has directional sound and Iron Will trumps Stridor.
-
@gendoss said:
It's probably because his add-ons used to be extremely busted. They just straight up made gen speeds slower for doing nothing in return.
Those numbers were extremely generous in the survivors' favor. Like Thanatophobia at 1 stack or something. If y'all thought that was overpowered... bro.
-
Let's just make it Botany Knowledge healing speed and see what happens.
-
My friend BNgeniusHzgamma. He only played the game for Spirit. Couldn't stop talking about her. Now that she's nerfed, he kinda doesn't feel like playing anymore.
-
Name me one killer buff that was out of nowhere and made killer OP. You can't. But I can name like a hundred times that's happened for survivors. These past few years have felt like an endless series of killer nerfs with a few mediocre qol changes to balance it out. Nurse nerf, Hillbilly nerf, Pyramid Head nerf, Freddy nerf, Blight nerf, Demogorgon nerf, Trickster nerf, Spirit nerf, Twins nerf, Pig nerf, Ghost Face nerf, Wraith nerf, Deathslinger nerf, Pinhead nerf, Nemesis nerf, Clown nerf. But I keep hearing people say how killer-pandering it was when infinites were removed and entity blockers were added.
