There is no ruin anymore. Even a noob team can genrush the killer

"Secret" offerings should be REALLY secret. They should not even appear on the screen, otherwise it's not secret. I'm tired by the fact survivors have so many informations about the killer build...
-
Devs made everything to make the game easier for survivors : nurse and spirit nerf, ruin nerf, dedicated servers (rip grabs), etc. These days any team can genrush a killer by pressing M1 and dropping some pallets. No skill is needed, so survivors have easy wins and spend money in the game. That's how BHVR get money. And that's why they will never nerf SWF and other broken things

It's not about "getting good". The OP was simply asking for people's opinions on her base kit.

My bad, I'm too used to survivors whining about every killer

Colorblind or not, these new auras are a pain in the arse for killers

They're awful for survivor. I was running Kindred and could barely make out the auras of everyone.
At least kindred lasts longer than BBQ
-
Yeah this bug ruined some of my games. This is just a bug to add to an already long list. Nurse is a mess right now. As soon as BHVR makes updates, they add 3165 annoying bugs, and obviously, since it's a killer bug, they'll take forever to fix it as always
-
They are fine for survivor. But for killers it's awful. BBQ is almost useless right now and everything is hard to see (survivors, hooks, gens, exit gates...). Another problem for killers after countless nerfs
-
Don't worry, when all the killers will stop playing because of how survivor sided the game is and how many bugs there are, maybe they'll replace killers with bots
-
Yeah, it's hard to press M2 at the right same, while focusing on the chase and avoiding to bump into objects

Yes, I don't understand that either. I think the charging time is important
I would even say that's the most important thing lol
-
They managed to nerf his addons too. They nerfed his best addons (the ones which decrease chainsaw charge time) so now you can't even charge the chainsaw faster. What is their ######### problem with killer addons? Why are they always trash?

Stop whining already, nobody uses lightborn unless there is 3 or 4 flashlights in the lobby

I play BBQ, Corrupt intervention, Pop and Shadowborn, though I used to run nurse's calling instead of pop. Shadowborn helps me a lot with my blinks
-
I would not put whispers in S. Maybe A or B

According to the new description of KO, these features ADD to what the perk always did. KO still hides the survivor aura outside of a 16 meters range. So it's a buff, except for the basic attack thing, which is pretty stupid.

Excuse me, you need to be HOOKED and UNHOOKED to activate DS.
Please.....and the only way BT activates if the killer is in the area, now...if you're complaining about BT and DS, and their affecting your game negatively how about you strap on BBQ and GTFOut of the hooked survivor's radius and go patrol some gens.
"no requirement."
Please, GTFOut.
He's right, most survivor meta perks are baindead and stupidly easy to use compared to killer perks. Too many second chances

Its scummy because it is unfair and you get a guaranteed kill with no skill involved while ruining someone elses time. That is just downright s cummy and a tactic only bad killers need to do
Just like rushing gens or looping. There's no skill required to press M1 or run arround a pallet.

No point in taking sides here, I've had both hatemail as a killer, and hatemail as a survivor. This isn't a you versus them issue, it's just people being horrible people. Just bust out the block button. It instantly gets rid of cyber bullying. Reporting them could net in them getting banned as well. That's all you need to do and it will be over.
I've never seen a salty killer comment on my profile tho

That's by no way a buff for him. If you cage a survivor on the middle of the map, you're screwed. And relocating the cage to prevent a save is very situational. Most of the times you don't have the time to reach it before the save because of how safe it is for survivor to save from cages. Before the nerf you could just use your M2 attack and hit the 2 survivors at once. That's even better that teleporting the cage. It's definetely a nerf that makes cages even more situational.

Too strong? Why?
60 second invincibility. This crutch is used by all survivors and it gets olds. I use it myself when I play survivor but I really neeeds a nerf. And false nerf like they did. A real nerf
-
No thanks, DS is already way too strong

@Mak0 said:
Ah yes because getting rescued from a cage only to get put back into a hook is 100% good. As a survivor and killer main this change was needed your just mad you can’t tunnel relentlessly anymore ;) killer mains are the first to complain about DS then do the exact thing it was designed to prevent
Ds is not an anti tunneling perk. It's a 60 seconds godmode perk that allow some cocky moves like doing a gen in front of the killer, going in a locker, and not even hiding

That was a bit excessive, but still, they could ar least give us a bubble notification that shows where the survivor was uncaged. For the cage relocating, it's fine imo

Yea i main nancy when i play survivor what does that have to do with anything?
Tunneling and camping is fine in certain situations but getting into a game with the intenet to tunnel/camp is bad IMO
You do realise that patrolling gens is the only way to find survivors other then going back to the hook? unless you're using a tracking perk like bbq or thrilling
I litrally showed you proof im a red rank killer
If you think tunneling is the only way to win then you are not a good killer
Bovinity just said it all. Tunneling means nothing. I've seen survivors call le a tunneler even if I was hooking everyone multiple times. Good survivors won't let you just hook everyone 3 times. Good luck to manage 4 good runners during all the game. That's why countering ds and bt is very good.

I said go patrol gens, Which is the best way to find survivors since you dont know where the cage is
Now that the cages are nerfed, yeah, you don't know. That's the point of this thread.
-
@Seiji212 said:
You've gotta be kidding me. PH is becoming my main, and I've only caged people when it was strategically sound to do so. If this makes him 'trash' in anyone's opinion, it's because they were playing like trash, ie camping the cage. That's NOT what the ability is for- you use it to bypass things like ds, etc- of course, but primarily it's meant to get survivors off of gens and to disperse them from your area. At least it is when you're playing him efficiently. I've never understood why people cage without getting some benefit from it, it actually hurts you to do so bc that's 2 hard earned torments gone now, in most scenarios. Nobody who isn't tunnel camping scum thinks that this makes PH trash, we ultimately only lose info as to where survs are headed and if you're rushing to the cage then you're in the aforementioned group. Not a big deal, people are just butt sore that they can't take people out of the game super quickly anymore and nobody cares what people who play like that think.
I may have overreacted a bit BUT they can at least give a notification of where the survivor was saved. That was too much
-
@Bovinity said:
The only thing this thread proves is that survivors think that literally everything is "tunneling".
Seriously, the first reply has 100+ upvotes for basically saying, "Don't chase survivors even if you know where they are, just go stand at gens while they all get healed and split up and get ready."
Killers are never going to play the way you guys want, because the way you guys want is almost a guarantee of a loss against any competent survivors. You're never going to stop doing gens, or going to strong loops, or anything else. But you want killers to constantly just close their eyes and count to 50 whenever you feel like it's "fair" for you to get away and reset or whatever else.
Absurd.
Thank you, finally a non biased player who understand how it works

i genuinely want to know, why do you think that is a viable play? why do you do it and what do you get out of doing it? also, what rank are you? you say you don’t camp cages unless game’s lost, but you’ll go straight to one after putting someone in one? there’s three other survivors in the game that are possibly popping gens but you’ll go straight to someone in a cage, that can’t do anything? do you consider the game over once those gens get popped as soon as you make it to said survivor in a cage? im sorry i just have a whole lot of questions.
Rank 1 PH main. The easiest way to get someone out of the game is to torment him, put him on a hook, then cage him and finally kill him. That way you avoid any DS. Killing a survivor quickly gives you an insane advantage over survivors. There's no better way to pressure them. Obviously, it's not always as easy. I often have to switch targets, but the idea is here. Using cages to deny DS and BT.
I don't camp cages but the saves are usually instant so when I get to the cage, the survivor is already free. And that is often a bad move of them, because as soon as the survivor is rescued, I can kill him.
-
@SANGU1NEM said:
maybe you should focus on gens and finding other survivors instead of trying to camp cages ? idk just a suggestion
I don't camp cages unless the game is already lost. But I often go to the cages straight up after caging the survivor.

Do you sit there and check everyone’s profile? The stats are first off old from a couple of months back the last time they gave it out. Even if it is 50% that still means half your games are just a bunch of solos stuck together. Not every swf group is a commando swat team. I’ve never played in a swf match, but I assume most people are playing to have fun with their friends.
Yes sir. I often check the profiles and swf teams are everywhere in red ranks. 4 man commandos are not that common, but when it happens, you realise how unbalanced is the game and you get litteraly stomped. Obviously, devs are not gonna change it because they would potentially lose money.
-

The last time we saw legion kill rates he wasn’t doing horrible and still above the 50% level. I play legion as well he’s better than what most people think. I thin swf is probably more at 10-15% of games as it’s probably grown larger in the past few months.
I just don’t get angry at the devs like most people. Instead I try to reason and understand why they did what they did. They are a small team and can only do so much at a time. Someone is always going to be mad at them no matter what they do.
Hummm 50% of my games at rank 1 are 3 or 4 men swf so their stats are flawed
-
@[Deleted User] said:
Has anyone even considered that this was not done because of complaining, but because of info the devs see on their side? They can see kill counts, hook counts, match lengths, etc. Maybe the information they’ve been collecting and looking at showed that pyramid heads who hang around the cages too long have abnormally high kill rates compared to all other killers. Perhaps this is an attempt to balance him so he lines up better with average results of other killers.
Yeah, you mean the same kind of info they get when they say that legion is fine because he has a good killrate, or that 4 man swf represent only 5% of the matches? Nice

If you are considering him to be useless because this, then you never took the time to learn him.
I main him at rank 1 since the release and I think I was doing well as him. I will still play him because I like his ranged attack, but it pisses me off

Except i don't believe he was designed for tunneling. By design, his cages put the survivor on the exact opposite end of the map from you. That means camping or tunneling a rescued survivor requires you to consciously go to where the cage is so you can be there upon rescue.
It seems to me the idea was to create pressure by giving the Killer a way to "hook" survivors instantly without having to pick up and carry them. Unless the cage spawns literally next to another survivor someone still has to break away for the rescue.
Is a trade off. You get increased momentum at the cost of making the person you caged easier to rescue.
With this nerf, 9 times out of 10, it's a free insta save for survivors, with no risk, no info for the killer, nothing.
-
@mouse0270 said:
Are we completely forgetting that survivors can't stop you from caging someone, no flashlight, no pallet stuns, no taking hits, no breaking hooks... Cages aren't useless they are just more tactical. I am also assuming cages spawn in the same way.
Also to the [BAD WORD] who haven't realized, you can actually use the new warping mechanic in your favor to move the cage around?
Basically there are three reasons to hate these balance changes that I can think of
- I want my free tunnel
- I want my free camp
- And maybe the most reasonable is, Information of where survivors are. Assuming they haven't changed spawn logic, you already know this. They are the furthest they can be from you. The bottom left tells you when they have been saved. You gain all the same information without the ease of tunneling and camping.
The futhest point is sometimes hard to guess if you cage someone in the center of the map
-
The unhook bubble would be a good compensation.
-
Also, op, devs are ALWAYS in the survivors side because survivors bring much more money to them than killer mains. That's why they nerfed ruin, nurse, spirit, etc, so playing survivor is stupidly easy.
