Have you turned down the lobby music
Tried adjusting "Menu Music." Did literally nothing.

Disarming makes an open trap shut itself.
Sabotaging made a shut trap completely unusable by the trapper.

Is the key still consumed since you keep items if you escape with the new update?
Losing the key after opening the hatch is part of the unlocking process. It should still be lost unless you're using the add-on that prevents this.
-
I'm pretty sure it'd still work as long as the key's still held. The unlocking shouldn't have any relation to the aura reading.
-
Don't know the exact locations, but they have blue and red planks going across them to make them easier to spot.
-
Yeah, there should be a button that lets you kick and flail so you can't be rescued but make it only function within the killer's terror radius. It'd suck for stealth killers, but having it available all the time might lead to trolling.
-
Last I checked harpoons don't blow pallets apart or launch me 20' forwards, and I can't lunge through a fence or window to get a hit.
-
A Robot. Don't care about the details, I just want a big dumb robot. Maybe something industrial like the ones that build cars, or something from a futuristic sci-fi setting. Hell, I'll take a roomba with a switchblade!
-
I tried using Iron Maiden, but nobody went into a locker. Hitting them with my stick seemed to work just as well.
-
Instead of messing up the game's balance, how about just making learning the perks easier. Like when you P1 a character every other character automatically gets tier 1 of their first teachable perk.
-
If I have one complaint, it's how long blood orbs stick around. Sometimes there are so many of them left behind when he comes out of his power that he'll almost immediately go back into it. I feel like they should work like scratch marks behave with Legion's frenzy. Whatever's left when he activates his power are permanently removes, and new orbs don't spawn until the power's deactivated.
-
The chase isn't 1v1 unless every other survivor is dead.
-
They need to consider removing any challenges that can be directly manipulated by other players' behaviors. For example, you can be left unable to complete Obsessive if that player chooses to disconnect at any point. On the complete opposite end of the spectrum, survivors get full credit for escaping if the killer disconnects. And if you're playing against Plague you're pretty much guaranteed to make no progress on healing other survivors.
-
So is killing 3 survivors and then letting the last have the hatch considered a success for this challenge?
-
Do whatever you like, but don't treat the entire match as a joke. This isn't a sandbox game, and having a killer that's just goofing around isn't doing the survivors any favors.

wait so if the RBT is activated by the last gen they can still escape? i thought they died if they past a certain point inside the exit gates. I dont play pig or go against her a lot so i wouldn't know
The exit gate death only activates if you run or crawl past the two hiding walls inside the gate while the timer is active. If the timer isn't on you should be able to get through, and the killer can also safely carry you through to the exit if they wanted to. At least that's how I understand the situation, your results may differ.

I've had players not know that they're supposed to mend away Deep Wounds. Not a big surprise that some people don't know all of Piggy's trap mechanics.
-
Hope your teammates aren't taking all the spots at a 2 or 3 person gen. Why don't you get on that 1 person gen while they knock out the rest?

How is it easier as a survivor vs killer?
Your earned xp is tied directly to time spent in a match, but it caps at 600. So you want minimum down time between matches, and you don't want to be stuck in a match that drags on too long. Survivors tend to get matches faster than killers, and their match duration is always going to be equal to or shorter than the killers.
-
Just in case anybody's interested in the maths...
- 70 tiers in the Rift
- 10 Fragments needed per tier (or 700 total Fragments)
- 800 xp needed per Fragment (or the equivalent of 560,000 xp)
If you had to do that entirely through grinding, assuming you got the max 600 xp per match, it would take roughly 900 matches. Clearing Tome 1 knocks 93 Fragments off the total. Tome 4 should knock off 85 when completed. Don't have info on Tome 2 or 3 yet, so I'm just going to low-ball those as 85 as well. So that's 348 Fragments you don't have to worry about if you clear all challenges, leaving 352 Fragments up to xp grinding. So 281,600 total xp. So you just need something like 470 matches in the 70-day Rift period. Minus one half for each of the two daily bonus matches you get.

Did they do a shadow update on the Devout emblem? You used to at least get kill credits for quitters. I just had a game with two DCs (one of which was already being carried to their final hook), one proper sacrifice, and the last person hooked once but escaped out the hatch. I got depipped with only a 20 point Devout.
-
I always feel bad when I'm the highest rank member on the team. Those people are in for a disappointment, but at least I won't quit on them.
-
BP bonus offering are essentially the "buyback" spaces on the bloodweb. Letting players just convert any offering into BP would make them redundant.
-
Also, those guys who will kill themselves on the hook while you're standing right next to them ready for a safe rescue.
-
Don't know how you could wind up with 6 at all. All of the rewards alternate between 2 and 3 serums, so they should never add up to that.
-
The guy who sees two teammates in the hooked/dying state and decides now is a good time to begin working on a fresh gen.
-
If survivors ever hands-free gen progression perk I'm quitting.
-
It seems odd that this Halloween event has been tied to the 70 day long archive/rift thing. Especially since they pretty much missed October, so it's a weird Thanksgiving/Christmas event now? Are the gen/hook bonus things going to be around that entire time? Also, putting the event rewards in the rift while making the in-game event objects act only as BP bonuses was an odd decision and makes me wonder if this is going to be the standard event reward system going forward from now.
-
It's still better than the Tekken 7 narrator.
-
How about giving killers offerings to require 1 or 2 extra generators for the match?
-
My game just bugged out and opened itself on Tome 4 so I can see all the challenges we have to look forwards, and some of them are a bit ridiculous. And they're all Master Challenges, so you have to clear them in a single match. So have fun when these unlock:
- Completely repair 4 generators with Dark Sense.
- Safely unhook 3 survivors during Endgame Collapse.
- Hook survivors in the basement 5 times with Agitation.
- Sacrifice all four survivors in the basement.
And sure to be a crowd favorite...
- Sacrifice 3 survivors, during Endgame Collapse, using No One Escapes Death
-
I'm pretty sure the only thing the color signifies is how many BPs it costs on the Bloodweb. They shouldn't be seen as better or worse than other perks in general, and should all switch to the same color when purchased.
-
I just got this important tip from a rank 2 survivor. If you're on the hook and there's only one other survivor, #########. You don't deserve to be rescued and they deserve the hatch.
-
Keep track of how often players DC or die super early in a match. 'Early' as in the entire match hasn't gone on long enough for somebody to run down the hook's full clock. If they cross a threshold, set them to rank 21 where they can't be matched with anybody but other 21's and can't rank up until the 13th.
-
I get the message even when I'm sitting alone spending bloodpoints. I'm not even searching for games and I'm getting disconnected.
-
I had one trial where Legion tagged everybody early on, so everybody but me DC'd. I mean everybody, even the killer. And to top it off my rank dropped for having been there.

I have not yet encountered such an issue. I am quite surprised to learn that removing upscaling of fonts could affect thist
Just shows that you can never be sure where programming conflicts will pop up. Street Fighter V can have frequent crashes because of a conflict with certain drawing tablet drivers.

So I apparently fixed the problem by removing the upscaling of fonts and stuff in the windows display settings. Set it to default 100% and I haven't experienced missed input. Yet.
I gave this a try and it seems to have helped. The down side is I got to get used to reading smaller fonts (playing on a TV so I'm pretty far from the screen.) But on the plus side, my display is a hell of a lot more crisp. So I'm putting all the blame on this one on whatever lazy routine Window's font scaling is actually running. Still would appreciate if these guys could make a game fix for this problem.

Wanda Sykes.
Not just Claudette. The entire roster.

@thesuicidefox said:
Probably because it's not an easy thing to fix. You have to make sure whatever you do only explicitly helps people that need it and can't be abuse by normal sighted people to see better.
I don't really see the issue. Auras and scratches are already bright and meant to be highly visible, so I don't think changing the colors should be a problem. Changing something like blood pools from red to blue would be an issue, but if it only changed when highlighted by Bloodhound then I'd say it's acceptable.

@indieeden7 said:
So you'd rather have them DC and not get the points for the sacrifice so that either way, the last survivor will get hatch? Not really that much of an innovative idea.
They already do that anyways.

I considered it but since no other killer has ever had there own alternative to hook sacrifices it probably isn't going to happen, however something like Identity V where the survivor is strapped to a chair beneath the hook with jump-rope could work.
My opinion is that every good example of a unique character should break at least one established rule of the game. Trapper can hurt players indirectly. Billy gets sprinting and one hit downs. Wraith makes sight and sound unreliable. The Pig even has a built in alternative to sacrificing, although it's unreliable and you still have to use the basic method. The fact that altering some feature of the game hasn't been attempted yet should be seen as inspiration to try something new.
-
At least your survivors are waiting to screw up before DC'ing. I keep getting teammates who DC within the first 5 seconds of the match.
-
@Killmaster I think a better solution would be to give Chucky a completely different sacrifice method. Maybe he has to perform a ritual on a downed survivor to summon the entity. Instead of hook rescues, survivors have to kick Chucky off the body and then do a standard heal to recover.
-
@Orion said:
Make it automatic, but add an option to stop. Farming is a thing and nobody should have to be penalized for that by being forced to disconnect.
That doesn't really solve the issue with people intentionally killing themselves on the hook. If a player rockets through the first phase of being hooked, they're just going to go straight to stopping the struggling on the second.
-
I just got complained at for not disconnecting as the last survivor after everybody else disconnected. I don't even know how to respond to that.
-
Quick solution for gen rushing: When you're outside the terror radius all generator progress is halted.
-
Also, don't check lockers. And don't pull people off gens or totems. And never play Trapper. If you're not making survivors run while stabbing their butts, you're playing wrong.
-
Killer Perk: Hail Mary
You throw the survivor you're carrying. If they land on a hook, they're Sacrificed. Otherwise they return to the Injured state.
If they land on another survivor, the other survivor is temporarily Broken.
