Yes they do glow. Me and my friend tested this in a KYF a while ago with all of her cosmetics (because I have all of them). This one is one of the more noticeable ones.
It’s not very useful when in a chase though because you won’t be this close to her.
That's why you gotta stare at her movements when standing still, have your friend in kyf stand for like 5 minutes so you can get used to the flow of her animations, (if you aren't already) then have them call out once they've finished charging the phase.
Edit: Point being this is much more reliable, and it can be seen from far away.

I heard a rumor that husk Spirit's glass shards glow when she's phasing, can anyone confirm?

Do you have pics or video to show the difference? Would help a lot.
That's true from what I know, not sure if it's been patched as I don't pay attention to that. Note it also only was noticeable when upclose.

This doesn't work all the time tho, sometimes her hair doesn't bug out (especially with some cosmetics) or her body doesn't freak out. (Also I think bugs aren't good counterplay, and this thing does seem like a bug)
Been there since release, and about 1 outta 10 phases I won't catch it. Just use it for now, even if a bug, since there seems to be so little counterplay.
-
For standing still, I cannot stress this enough, STARE AT HER. You will 99% of the time notice her hair reset position, her animations will also reset (usually her arm will quickly jump to her chest).
If you cannot see it, get in a kyf and have a friend just stand still. Get used to the flow of her animations and then have them begin phasing while calling out the exact moment they finish charging phase. It might take a few tries, but you'll eventually see it. (Also take latency into account while testing this) There's also that 1% chance where she and her hair will be nearly in the exact position already, making it harder to notice.
It's especially noticeable when a Spirit begins phasing right after moving.
Please practice this, I swear this will help you so much against the Spirit because fakes will never work, you'll know exactly when she's lost sight of you, and you can call out to friends when she begins phasing.
-
Sounds like you did tunnel that one survivor to death for the most part, but the only thing wrong with that is itll leave sour tastes in some mouths.
However, play completely how you want. I watched HybridPanda videos and often he's a "nice" killer which rubbed off on me so certain things like survivors sandbaging, or bugged windows screwing a survivor, etc I don't like to take advantage of. I also like to spread the pain so I'll always swap targets.
-
Keep playing the game, watch some streamers or youtubers, get more familiar with what killer gameplay is like, a "fast killer" like Trapper chasing at 115% speed is inferior to killers with more chase oriented powers, especially slower ones like Nurse, Huntress, Deathslinger, have powers strong enough to overrule the simple basic attack chase.
-
I thought Dull Totems made noise when breaking them. I'd either fear touching them, or would hide after breaking one. Took a few months till I was watching a streamer and he brought it up lmao
-
You can tell when the Spirit leaves her husk. When she stands still STARE AT HER. Besides her normal unnatural movements, you will see and obvious change in her animations, and most of her hair will reset position.
Lmk if you'd like to KYF sometime and try some fakes on me if you don't believe.
-
Good console nurses still exist, I just chatted with one the other day. Helped me confirm my belief that she's not as bad now as most think, you just can't use op addons on her anymore which seems to upset a lot. The blink cooldown hardly makes a difference, if you can land most hits.
-
I don't think this is reliable anymore. I don't pay attention to it as a sign because nowadays they just do it because they want off the hook. Spamming it the whole time, I find it obnoxious at this point unfortunately.
-
Lol much deserved for trying to abuse OoO on that map. Good work
-
I don't feel she's a killer you can adjust. Her ability of ignoring defenses would have to be looked at and changed for her to feel any less "OP". The addons and slight power change didn't do a thing, you can still predict and get easy hits with her if you're skilled.
-
Only thing I disagree with is Plague, but pretty good otherwise. Also glad to see someone put billy somewhere he actually belongs, not below A tier.
-
Cowboy Bebop, There's a dude named Pierrot Le Fou I think would be an epic killer with Spike as Survivor. Not to mention there's an amusement park tied to the dude which would be a perfect map.

They couldn't even bother to give us Christmas Firecrackers in the bloodweb, really really sad times.
-
For that type of report to be legit, the survivor(s) would have to have been helping you kill the others. As long as nothing like that happened, it's meaningless.
-
I find really good use in Brutal Strength, especially if you're the type of killer who will fake leaving a pallet to reduce a survivor's distance, beautifully complements that trick. Also, great for speed kicking gens and dealing with Walls.
-
This is exactly something I've been wanting, however I expect the numbers to be way smaller. However bringing up pop might change that, since the perk sometimes feels so necessary, adding a small amount of it's effect to base killers while nerfing the perk would be a good way to go.
-
It's part of the power design to be sick, no sound would be lame as heck. Should they really change that cause its icky to some people? I have a friend who can't stand irl vomit and sounds, but she can deal with this because it's not that bad. Idk, change survivors if you don't like how he sounds.
The repetitiveness is what can be bad, especially with the bug.
-
Breakable walls give stronger loops, especially windows, to survivors while not having them permanent. There might be too many in that map, but their design is great. Especially since breaking them kills loops most of the time without just straight up having crap loops everywhere.
-
You don't have to go crazy fast or hard, just keep a proper pace. For controller, just a smooth spin of the joystick will keep you wiggling.
-
I feel trapper really needs to be modernized. Possibly even a large rework, still having bear traps but also have something else to use.
Throwing Traps? Additional type of Trap? Some kind of Mobility?
-
Well, I'm sure they were all still just on seperate computers working on the game so they can still do that at home, just gotta do voice calls and some kind of file share if they didn't do that already. Not much of a reason, if it was they should've been delaying.
I've been forgiving them for the past 3 years telling others to stop berating them.
However, I'm losing hope due to various decisions and I've just stopped caring honestly.
-
In some tight areas like that it can be a little confusing, but you should be looking ahead for the continued trail/listening to footsteps and breathing to help keep track.
Edit: something else I'd like to say is when it comes to perks, I feel using a slot or two to cover your personal weaknesses is a good idea. If you really struggle, you should use Predator more for the narrowed scratchmarks. Pretty much a straight line to them.
-
I'm playing a lot of twins, and for the perks, I think it's best to use mostly if not only "passive" perks on them. No pop, no Surveillance, nothing Charlotte needs to go out of her way to do. However, I do sometimes bring Brutal for Charlotte only chases.
Also for Tracking, I keep the perks to 1 Minimum. Whispers, BBQ, or Thrilling. Nurses can also work sometimes.
Victor himself is good for tracking, when I can't find survivors anywhere I feel they are or will be, I'll stick Victor there. Love the addons that boost that detection distance too.
Other than that, I'll use Thana/Remember Me/Ruin/Corrupt/Brutal/CruelLimits
-
Forcing to bleed out is not bannable, you're right to think of this new perk. If you truly felt she had it and it will let her escape when you pick her up, then go for the slugging.
-
Really neat ideas tbh, I'd love to see something like this!
-
Was called a hacker because of BBQ&chili, guess they were just survivors who didn't know what that was.
Clearly I was hacking because I kept finding them lmao
-
Idk, I want to feel the same because of the games I've had with him, but common belief makes me think otherwise. I could've gotten lucky just all those times, but with certain builds I feel really good with clown.
I throw bottles often to where they might go, or throw them where i dont want them to go since they mostly avoid them.
-
It would do the opposite.
For one, the bug fixers don't secondary as cosmetic makers.
For two, the money is what's helping them work on the game at a bigger scale.
-
I play on ps4 and really only play new killers. Shoot they come out so often, just when im getting tired of a new one they add another for me to get stuck playing. I think the only bad experiences I've had with the new killers on console are with Deathslinger, Blight, and PH.
Absolutely loving the Twins
-
I actually agree for consistency, wouldn't like to see it when just passing a totem but for sure after it's revived a broken Hex
-
Actually yeah, did they make another mistake with increasing map frequency? Oof why Haddonfield...

Currently the both variation of backwater swamp has a broken loops that only the survivor can fit in and killers not, making it a huge infinite against killers! Do not play on this map since it's broken! Here's an example of this broken loop:
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/41XEQFNXG24K/xdddd11.png
I REMIND EVERYONE: This Hole between these loops makes an infinite, while the survivor can pass and killer not! Use different map offerings to not play on this map in the meantime, until the devs adress this crap!
Gameplay Footage by OhTofu showing this broken bug!
I found that spot earlier and couldn't go through as survivor either...
...
I was playing Jane....
lmao, but not kidding.
^the one from your photo btw.

It was a good decision, but possibly made too soon, as key issues are now becoming more common.

If I still bothered to touch killer, which I don't plan to even for rifts, I'd simply dodge a lobby where somebody didn't ready up or had a key especially with a flashlight combined and when on steam them all also being clearly on pc or when on console them all having the crossplay icon on their group. Killer would get another lobby in seconds at least the time of day I played where I live. And if I did let one pull the old switcheroo I'd just task manager kill the process byt he offering screen or hold the ps button and kill the app on the homescreen on ps5 so they'd go right back into a long queue and I wouldn't burn an offering lmao. Once killers get tired enough of the bs they'll start doing that on a larger scale for those that still play as killers. So burn those keys while you still have a chance given by them. I'd honestly started doing the same myself on my survivor characters thats till had keys before uninstalling to make room for other games lmfao
It's really lame bringing them all the time, brought in like 5 a day and those matches just felt boring. But you know, and it can't be just me, but keys cause a problem too so I don't think the devs were right in only updating one at a time. But solo survivors with keys tend to get way less altruistic, and may even hide letting others to die while not doing objectives. Saying moris were worse because of quick kills I think is wrong, when keys cause terrible teammates or bullshit escapes. So endgame with a key is a key is fair right? Especially when that survivor got there when just hiding? Yea, moris were the bigger problem, sure.
-
My favorite thing to face for one reason: The gg ez looping.
Once you know he's using it, keep yourself healed when possible or always have an escape route while paying attention to where he might come from, as soon as you can make it too a loop it's game over for him unless he's got play with your food. As long as you can somewhat loop efficiently, the addon is a joke and has to rely on the jumpscares which again, just be prepared for.
-
Worrying about the killer bringing a Mori to counter was the biggest reason I didn't use keys.
Now I got a huge stockpile to use up before they change too :D
(They shoulda waited and did them both imo)
-
Yep, its true. Some of their rarer addons are not as worth it and need some buffs/changes

Hello
Victor cannot be kicked or interacted with (except than the Survivor inside the locker) while he is on the locker. It is also full 10 sec. lower than this, is a bug. Yes we counted the 3sec wake up of the killer when we decided on the 10 sec. It might feel as a conservative value but its a new feature and was not on the PTB so we do not know how this feature will really affect the gameplay yet. If it requires a buff, we will readjust.
Also, Victor locker check was never approached as a sure grab, so its totally ok that the Survivor can still escape under certain conditions. If Survivor would know that its a 100% bad outcome, they would simply not use the locker.
If you guys felt 10 seconds was good for now, then I'm assuming the theory on you're not supposed to go far from Charlotte to be most effective is true?
-
That's unfortunate, however I feel your pain with OTHER accurate killers. I don't know what it is, but I'm doing great with Victors pounces with controller.
Complete different story with Huntress, Deathslinger, Demo
-
I feel they have good potential, as landing a lot of victor's pounces can be deadly, but missing can be game killing.
I'd say they just need some QoL adjustments, but overall they're decent.
-
I often like to spread pressure, so I do slug especially if I spot someone else nearby after getting a down.
-
Sadly this is to be expected with a Mori nerf, I really was hoping when they did this that keys/hatch would be looked at as well.
Now survivors don't think "If I bring a key, they might bring a mori..."

I’m really trying to keep this civil but I don’t understand why this need to be represented. It already happens everywhere, we get plenty of it, yet people still feel the need to push this onto things like games.
Who's pushing? The devs said they'd do it, this thread is not about that.
I’m honestly more happy with stuff not trying to shove a character like that into my face.
Stay out of the lore and it won't affect you.
before anyone makes any assumptions, I’m not straight.
I don't see the significance.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1807465#Comment_1807465
Not assuming, no, since it's explicitly stated in their lore.
I'm talking about more than just this game, and the devs are saying it because it was pushed by various people in the community but anyways.
You don't see the significance because you're not an ass who would use that as a reason why I said it.
I just, don't get why representing the LGBT is so important nowadays. I don't consider myself a part of it as it seems unnecessary.
But my response is pretty much, why does it matter?
I don't see the significance. Just be who you are, and let others have opinions.
-
I disagree they're weak. Slugging is part of their gameplay, otherwise victor would be sent back or something after a down. Also the perfect blood tracking promotes that even better when multiple are injured.
What I like about that is this killer encourages healing, pushes away from that no heal meta.
Anyways, they're a very high risk high reward killer. Missing your shots can be game ending, while landing almost all of them can be deadly.

I never go for adepts, as I don't care for achievements but I am playing The Twins a ton.
Absolutely loving them and their new perks, I'll just keeping working through the bugs so once they're fixed playing them will feel awesome.
-
So you're mad that you can't abuse the lockers before they add a interaction for victor with them? Boohoo
