  • I don't find strong windows very skillful either should they also be nerfed

  • counter play of not downing people at pallets?

  • I handle them one bloodweb at a time

yes, i'm aware of all this, do u play as a Blight and all is fine for u?

    1. Did u read it carefully? It is not about rush at all. Just a basic atack.
    2. Do u even try to understand what is written? Rush doesn't work (it is not about lethal rush)...
    3. I was standing and facing to the wall like face to wall... and spamming m2... rush-> 1 wall hit -> slam -> fatigue... what angle???? distance is like about 0-1 meters
    4. Natural delay may occur only if u make an atack... as I say no attack happening rush-> slam-> lethal rush-> (atack disabled)

Yeah but only in DBD and only with Blight...

Its effective. My issue isint the fact that its effective though. The problem I have with it is that its just a ######### and toxic experience. I mean you are correct that people playing smartly would remove this problem from existence. But its a problem because people cannot be trusted.

I dunno anymore man. I guess toxic ######### is just to be accepted and not changed because its been there from the start? Because its somehow a good thing?

if you feel that you are being tunneled against too much and its ruining your survivor experience join the dbd discord and play in a swf with the 20-30 4 man groups on there at any time, as said playing smart is the best counter so best to know you have teamates that also play smart

I dunno dude, they've been practically every third or fourth game for me the past few days.

Also there is no real argument for having them beyond personal preference, because they do absolutely give an unfair advantage. That's not something even debatable; you shouldn't be able to take something into a game that gives you THAT much of an advantage in any online versus game.

this isn't an online vs game though it was designed to be asymmetrical horror without ever being truly balanced in mind, the moris and keys to an extent are the ideals the game was made around not became

The same thing could be said about keys, I don't see a lot of people using them often. I have a bunch of them because I never use them so they just sit there.

honestly I see more keys then I do moris but usually if there is a mori there is a good chance there was a survivor with a key that provoked it

PigMainClaudette will not be back in the way that you remember. They were the part that was passionate about the game, the fragment that cared deeply about it.

They watched from the shadows waiting out the ban for a whole month, only to find that it was permanent, despite not being told it was.

Pig will see you in the fog and on their Twitch at midknightreaper1 of they get around to streaming again.

the forums are a bit of a mess I don't know why anybody would connect them with having fun in a video game tbh

you are too invested into them if suddenly losing access to strangers bad opinions and discussion methods seems like a bad thing

  • no

I don't see moris enough for them to have ever been a problem

and keys shouldn't be able to be found in chests and leave the hatch open behind them

  • @Generic said:

I'll just get straight to the point:

Playing Red Ranks is frustrating because the most prevalent and active strategy used by killers to secure easy victories in this game is Tunneling. You tunnel one guy to death; there is one guy less, and his team is now slower at everything they need to do.

The greatest issues with tunneling are the following things:

Tunnelling is a Good strategy because it removes a opponent from the game early.

Tunnelling is not de-incentivized in any form, shape or way. Making it a good go-to for weaker killers (and killer players)

The person who gets unhooked is always the most vulnerable guy in the survivor team not simply because they were the one who got caught but also because they are Bleeding everywhere, Loudly moaning and go down from a single attack.

There is no good reason for a killer to try and spread his hooks across the survivor team as that simply weakens his ability to slow the game down.

Tunneling is a more difficult problem than Camping: Because in camping the guy sitting on the hook can effectively always waste the killer's time unlike a person being tunneled who is dependent on the map rng, his teammates, his own perks, his teammates perks and the killers ability to cut a chase to a halt.

The second biggest problem with tunneling is simply the fact that Tunneling does not get a easy counter to stop people at higher ranks from utilizing this strategy the way that Camping does.

High-ranked players don't Camp and neither should they Tunnel

Tunnelling is a strategy that becomes more and more powerful on Killers who are good at keeping track and denying a survivors escape (Doctor) and killers who are extremely good at ending a chase or catching up to the survivor (Nurse, Deathslinger, Oni and many others)

Tunnelling is something that should not be getting fixed by having Perks compensate for the lack of gameplay incentives that would discourage tunnelling.

    Potential solutions in a bottle:

Make every hook function the way that Pyramid Head's warp cage works BUT make it so that when you hook a survivor they warp to one of the three furthest hooks from the killer.

Incentivize a killer to hook many people to slowdown game progression: Add a de-buff to the individual survivor that slows their ability to repair generators according to how many times they have been hooked something akin to 10/15% and up per hook.

Punish tunneling by coldly taking away Emblem ranks according to how much tunneling is happening (This would actually truly put a stop to high ranked players wanting to tunnel)

Now there may be other more clever ideas to fix the tunneling but the point I am getting at is that I should not want to stop playing this game at High-Ranks because I don't ever get to play the damn game because someone is playing like a homing missile running up my butt-crack the entire time.

Make playing this game enjoyable. End the Tunneling already.

this is just a bit a lot wrong

"Tunnelling is not de-incentivized" the treat of ds making you lose a good amount of time and pressure is a good reason to not tunnel especially since its extremely common because of how easy it is to abuse

The person who gets unhooked is always the most vulnerable guy easy prey that you can easily track saved in front of the killer makes easy pickings, use babysitter, iron will, or bt to give them a better chance or just divert the killers attention to yourself or just don't save while the killers right there to take advantage of the situation

There is no good reason for a killer to try and spread his hooks across the survivor team true

Tunneling literally has the same counter as camping, just do gens at a fast rate while the killer tunnels and keep mounting pressure and leave the guy on hook for a bit instead of saving right away so they can die faster

High-ranked players don't Camp and neither should they Tunnel (false, just because you are high ranked doesn't mean you have to hold yourself to a higher standard of play, people should still play how they want (except freddys no one should play freddy))

Tunnelling is something that should not be getting fixed by having Perks compensate for the lack of gameplay incentives that would discourage tunnelling. (In other words, lets try to find ways to make tunneling not the most optimal strategy without gutting a killers map pressure) killers tunnel to create map pressure, why would gutting map pressure deter a strategy meant to create map pressure

Incentivize a killer to hook many people to slowdown game progression: Add a de-buff to the individual survivor that slows their ability to repair generators according to how many times they have been hooked something akin to 10/15% and up per hook (no there is enough slowdown)

something that debuffs the entire survivor crew for every fresh hook on a fresh survivor. This Debuff could even be something more powerful since it would only last for the duration of that person being hooked or until a health state shift happens? (wow slowing survivor progression thats like what the idea behind tunneling is

Punish tunneling by coldly taking away Emblem ranks according to how much tunneling is happening (this would just lead to more lower rank tunneling and give high ranked killers an easy way to derank to bully low ranked survivors)

protect yourself and teammates better don't expect the game to fundamentally change because a strategy since when the game released is still effective

  • I see the argument a lot that it makes the game boring and stale and thats why it shouldn't exist however

I haven't seen moris in days and haven't used one in a few weeks because I only use them under certain conditions

I see 4x as many key wielding survivors as I do moris but I don't hear people complaining about the moris counterpart as much as survivors complain about moris

plus the moris were in the game for the flashy kills and flavor in a horror game not because every now and then it makes people lose when they other wise would have lost 6 minutes later instead

  • sounds like mouse problems

  • no, sounds don't work already no need to have another thing that breaks

  • I would be more useful if you were worth the effort of explaining it to, but for someone as upset as you for a killer you only face probably 1% of the time being too hard to deal with you sure make it hard to want to tell you how to deal with it like a good player

You forgot one element of winning as Killer- Luck.

Sometimes, the Entity just doesn't feel like giving you anything in your favor, so you gotta just suck it up, buttercup.

I never depend on luck when winning as killer, so its pretty easy to have it slip under my radar

Teaming with the opposite team to gain an advantage is against the game rules.

  • many wake on their own, the waking of the masses is led by them, if you want to make your own memes about it or spread awareness be my guest

  • not dying is a start

  • I think it should but it should be linked to the lights on the door how far it regresses, (each light takes 5 seconds to light up) so if the door has 3 lights powered the highest progress it would regress back to is 75% (5 seconds to open)

  • grabs can happen in a few places

injured: windows (medium and slow vault), and vaulting pallets

healthy: cleansing totems, unhooking, lockers, generators

Would anyone else like to have a 2nd option for crossplay, like being able to enable crossplay with consoles only, if youre a console player?

I frequently hear that the switch struggles to run this game and at times only gets 17fps. I cant imagine being on that device and going against PC players, who are more aggressive and take things more seriously anyways

I think all or nothing just because its hard to program and its a bit much to expect the devs to do more

Really would like to see a war torn soldier killer in this game. This idea is kinda Rambo inspired :p

    Killer: The Soldier

    TR: 32m Height: Tall

    Movement Speed: 115%

    Weapon: Bowie Knife

    Power: Guerilla Tactics

Years of war have trained the Soldier in the ways of stealth and silent destruction. Press the 2nd Active Ability Button to crouch, hold to crawl. While crouching, movement speed is slightly decreased and the TR is halved (~110%). While crawling, movement speed is moderately deceased and the Soldier has no TR (~100%).

    Special Attack: Throwing Knife

Press the Active Ability button to throw a knife at a Survivor (the Soldier has 4 knives). Hitting a Survivor with the knife injures them for one health state. The knife has an effective range of 18m due to its curve. The soldier can reclaim his knives after downing a Survivor hit by the knife or after a short time after the injured Survivor has been healed.

    Special Ability: Camouflage

While crouching, The Soldier's uniform blends in with his surroundings (not invisibility but color changing uniform/face paint). While crawling, the Soldier also adds foliage and loses the sounds of his movement and breathing (you can still hear grass and environmental noises caused by his movement).

    Perks:

    1) Espionage:

You gather intelligence and knowledge about your enemies before beginning the hunt. At the start of the trial, see the auras of all Survivors for 4/6/8 seconds. See the auras of items on the ground, and when standing over them see the item's rarity and addons.

    2) Demilitarized Zone

Set a perimeter to guard you territory. After kicking a generator, it and the closest two generators are highlighted in yellow. If a Survivor starts working on one of these generators or enters the area inside them, their aura is shown to the Killer. If the Killer kicks one of the generators or enters the area inside them, Demilitarized Zone goes onto a 120/100/80 second cooldown.

    3) Conscription

Force an enemy to do your bidding. You become Obsessed with one Survivor. After hitting your Obsession, Conscription gains a token, up to three tokens. A token is consumed whenever:

When the Obsession hits a skill check while heals a Survivor, the skill check is ignored and the healing progression is reset to zero.

When the Obsession hits a skill check while repairing a Generator, the Generator explodes as if they missed a Skill Check.

Let me know what y'all think!

I think the perks could use a little more strength

for espionage I think standing over the item should show the aura of the survivor who last held it for 5 seconds and have a cooldown for that secondary ability

for demilitarized zone I think it should only go on cooldown if you enter the zone while its showing a survivors aura and the aura lasts a few seconds when it goes on cooldown

and for conscription I think it should have a secondary way to gain tokens, like hook a non obsession or hit 5/4/3 non obsession survivors

Yikes, guess I'm not allowed to have fun.

its entitled to think you are owed that without being good enough at the game to earn it or fight back against it

  • @ILoveDemo said:

It's too easy they never learn the basic's to face against moderately good Survivor. It's too easy they never learn the most of the basics of the game. It's too easy they don't learn the loops. It's too easy they don't learn map layouts. It's too easy they don't remember Survivor perks. It's too easy they don't remember window spawns. It's too easy they don't know to mindgame.

It's too easy they have a poor opinion on changes needed in the game.

While experienced Killers that took the time to learn the game, ignore things like the forums because they know that if they don't speak up nothing will change to actually balance the game (balancing the game would make it harder for them) - since all the players that don't understand the actual game will keep providing poor information on the forums not understanding that they still need to learn the basics of the game. These Killers Camp and Tunnel in higher ranks, and ruin the game for everyone. Making all the players leave, and the matchmaking is so bad even new Survivors face them - making them leave too. This leaves BHVR with a problem not keeping players that want to play this game.

you never learn the basics and parts of the game you don't ask about, like most things if you ask an experienced person nicely or say something completely arrogant on the internet someone will show up to tell you the answer* (one more politely then the other)

if someone finds out they really enjoy this game but missed out on learning some of the basics they can always ask

and also most older members of the community end up not on the forums because they get burnt out on the same bad suggestions, toxicity, and mentalities of others on the forums, which even though its called discussion forums at times its often just ad hominem and people saying if you don't agree with me you are wrong

    No?

Unless you're against sweaty survivors, which is not even a common thing that people on this forum tend to argue, you're perfectly capable of getting a 2-4K by hooking everybody and not resorting to tunnelling.

You're just bad at the killer role if the only way you can win is by tunnelling.

    yes and no,

yes you can win without tunneling, no you can't win without tunneling without high levels of skill on a good killer, a ton of slowdown perks, or some mix of the two

if someone can only win with tunneling that's because they are lacking in one of the categories and the fastest and easiest way to secure a win is tunneling, sorry its just that good of an alternative

no you aren't bad if you can only ever win by tunneling because some killers just don't have the strength to always win without such luxuries even with a ton of slowdown perks, its you who is entitled for thinking they can't ever tunnel to hedge their bets

  • the sad part is most of them aren't good but they just keep them instead of figuring out which players will actually use and changing them accordingly to be different or actually useable perks

Where is her respect and outcry with Tinkerer

I've been running it on her since the change and no one has had an issue with it until now, just because there's another hex that has a 50% chance to extend ruin a little bit?

    Stay asleep.

I make the memes, I control the hearts and minds of the people,

they only sleep because I don't let them think there is an alternative

Mmm yes make the "cant see cant move" even worse for survivors.

what point are you even complaining about

  • its probably freddy, just a little bit is needed but if he keeps preforming too well the devs will probably just gut him because he is the strongest killer with the lowest skill floor

  • @Crowman said:

Let's not add unnecessary cooldowns to perks that don't need them.

If you are facing Undying + Ruin + Tinkerer and don't want to spend time totem hunting, just split up and do gens. The killer can't pressure multiple gens and eventually he'll be forced to give up gens.

    ..

  • I use slowdown perks even on strong killers because I set my expectations too high for myself

that and usually the slowdown perks are for survivor protection, I usually end up with 7-8 (all or almost all survivors on deathhook before any survivor is killed on hook) hook before anyone dies games if ruin undying is still up, if the slowdown perks (mainly ruin undying) are down the survivors have challenged me to a race and if I see gens start moving fast you bet the next survivor I see is going to be tunneled fast as well because I just enjoy slow games and you can't have that with 4 alive survivors and no slowdown perks

The biggest things I want for Clown is a passive reload to his bottles, and something to give him a bit of map pressure. Maybe drink one of his bottles to let him zoom around the map for a short amount of time. Then again, I'm not a Clown main. I'm sure @TheClownIsKing can put some ideas forth. Also, remove the noise he makes when vaulting. Why does he have that? No other killer has that.

im in the top 150 for clown downs so I can give some of what he might think for rework

hold a bottle so that it leaks gas behind you and a small trail as you throw it at a cost of less aoe area

reload bottles on hooking a survivor (maybe an addon to replace reload movement speed addons and make the brown one a trajectory showing addon or something)

reload takes less time depending on how many bottles missing, (example 1 second + 1 second per bottle, 3 bottles would take 4 seconds instead of 5 currently)

remove the slowdown animation after reloading so the interaction only takes the duration of the bar and not longer, right now it lasts a second and a half after of putting the bottle down where you can't interact just remove the end of the current animation and replace it with that

make the cloud start decaying when it touches the ground not when it hits an object (if you hit a tree high up the cloud starts decaying right away so if it takes 3 seconds to fall its only there for 7 seconds instead of the full 10 of the cloud starting on the ground)

make an incentive to actually hit survivors with the bottle, more slowdown or longer slowdown time would be nice

this is all I have that he might think of, @TheClownIsKing do you give your approval

  • somethings up with mm right now

2 matches tonight with a rainbow of colors

    2 red ranks 1 purple 1 green 1 yellow

and 1 red, 1 purple, 1 green, 1 yellow, and one brown

I don't know what to do other than end the match fast for them in hopes they get better matchmaking

  • turn bloodlust 2-3 into a perk, bloodlust 1 is essential for good survivors / bad map design band-aids

  • same, this is why I play killer, I literally was a team with 3 console players, and even with a godly set up on coal tower, 4 long walls, shack with a good window side and vs a legion, they somehow went down in 4 seconds over and over again while wasting everything on the map, my one chase with 1 pallet lasted longer then any of their chases combined

  • tunneling isn't a player playing smart tho, its easy to tunnel and requires little thought most of the time

being able to juggle an entire team and manage 8 hooks before killing anyone and still 4k now that requires playing smart

  • @Soulslayer618 said:

ok so was there a reason we put a cap on maximum bloodpoints? if so what was it?

like maxing out with one million gets you to like 35 on blood web when prestiging and outside of prestiging theres no real reason other than "dont let the number get to high or it might reach integer cap" (as far as Im aware)

made it easy to hack millions of bloodpoints onto accounts, with the limit people put themselves at risk more often

also for some reason the devs don't like the idea of stockpiling enough bp to immediately max new killers and characters

  • its called latency, it was introduced when dedicated servers came out, before that survivor ping was only based on connection to host, now for how long of a window you can get hit through a pallet its killer ping + your ping instead of just your ping

  • 326 foxglove on blight beating my 324 compound 7s by 2

  • yea but like seperate to see how each perk affects the meta, not all together because thats a bad measurement

The positive folks got me to try some more, and I am coming around. I definitely don't think he's a weak killer at any rate, and who knows maybe I'll get a skin I like that Blight flower-face Resident Evil 5 zombambo looking skin....

Yeah I did two games and both were 4ks, albeit no SWF again just yet.... He's not weak by any stretch. Doubt I'll ever be that effective but I never aim to be, I generally just try not to be a punching bag and I am quite happy with my matches generally.

Yeah, I'm coming around to him as well. Mostly because in late that 2nd match I realized I could drive by hit people and it's actually pretty forgiving. Also BBQ helped a lot.

Yeah, I did sneak a second game in for the evening, but I need to head off now. The supportive and helpful comments from most of everyone here helped a lot. So did having a fairly lenient matchmaker this time around.

It was a lot of fun that time, even if I had lost (and I almost did, they only slipped up at the very end) I still would have had a lot of fun.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/5HJ9LHS1KH10/image.png

ill be honest so far with blight on live, Ive probably only had 3-4 exit gate escapes with all gens powered (hatch and hatch closed exit gates not counted) the escapes were from two games, my first blight game with no perks, and a meme game, other than that I have been consistantly stomping or winning by a hair, even with a clan and a 3 man of a 4 man sweat squad I can still manage.

so just speaking from experience I know that blight is extremely strong and capable in the right hands

for context for how many games ive played as blight, I have the 12th most lethal rush hits with 4634

if you keep working at it im sure you would have lots of fun, but its alright to ask others for help and encouragement
