I've stopped playing killer until the matchmaking is fixed. On the flip side of the coin, this means that my survivor queues continue to grow.

What do you think about earning skins instead?
The thread poses a question about perks, not skins.
-
I feel you should earn the perks like the rest of us.

You do realize you are the one that responded to a thread on a forum, don't you. You weren't required to respond. Yet you chose to do so. You chose to make comments about "it's only a game". Guess what this is only a post on a forum, but it was important enough for you to comment on and call me names.
The fact you can't see your own double standards is amazing. Regardless, I offer you this peace offering if it allows you to just move on as you obviously think others have the obligation to do, but you don't. Here it is:
Your arguments have convinced me. You are right and I was wrong. Your ability to call me names has won me over to your side. From here on out I will use your method when debating people on these forums. I will call them names and tell them to move on. You have inspired me. I will forever be your disciple.
That is not a peace offering. That is a veiled insult steeped in sarcasm from a pretensious, entitled poster who feels every response to his op should be in alignment with his thoughts. Sorry but you are wrong in my eyes. Again, save yourself the stress. Just move on.

Sure you can. You may not agree that it needs to be done and that's fine. But if there were in game mechanics that made it detrimental to do nothing new players as well as the level 10 to 12 players I was playing with earlier would learn to do something other than hide and they would learn it quickly.
A number of posters in this thread have tried unsuccessfully to convey to you the penalties in place for immersive players (e.g. depips, reduced bloodpoints); yet, you continue to ignore this in order to build a case for your flimsy attempt to whine to the devs for unnecessary penalties. Just stop crying and move on to the next match.

Yes, because they never change anything based on input from players. Have you even been reading the forums lately with the whole ruin thing? You are really good at the ad hominem attacks. It's sad though when the best arguments you have are calling people names.
My points are every bit as valid as yours. You also seem to be incredibly sensitive. Perhaps dbd isn't your game. May I recommend Stardew Valley? That might more your speed.

So I would wait longer, but wouldn't have to play in matches with people that just want to hide. I'm good with that.
I love the "crying like some little preteen" comment. The person whose best argument is to call someone else a name wants to talk about maturity. Ironic.
The "feels like everything should be spoon fed to them" comment is gold too. I literally commented about people that do want their matches to be spoon fed to them by the people that are actually working on the objectives of the game.
Feel free to keep on calling people names and making baseless arguments. The rest of us will attempt to have conversations and hope you just move on. It's just a thread on a forum at the end of the day.
The devs are cerebral enough NOT to ruin their game by catering to a blathering whiner who wants to penalize survivors who want to play the game they bought the way they feel suits them. Again, it's a game at the end of the day.

I don't think there would be as many quit as you might think. On the other hand I could really care less if the ones that play this way did quit. As for telling me to stop whining...... if you don't like what I have to say stop whining about it and just move on to the next thread.
You should care, because queue lines would grow considerably and whiny babies like yourself would ultimately quit as well. Please stop crying like some entitled preteen who feels everything should be spoon fed to them and just move on. It's just a video game at the end of the day.
-
Not that I play immersive, but if the devs implemented a penalty for something this stupid do you know how many people would just quit the game? I undersatand how frustrating it may be to play in a match with immersive players, but it is unfortunately a part of some survivors' playstyles. Stop whining and jist move on to the next match.

On the last Live Q&A, they said there was a glitch that registers "Some" Killers as being higher rank than they actually are, and that they wouldn't be able to fix it before the Holidays were over.
Holidays have long been over.

Gens are boring, and I can't really blame survivors for not wanting to do them. Holding down a button for 80 seconds isn't thrilling gameplay, and you don't make that many points for doing it, either. Stealthy/ignored gen jockeys earn the fewest Bloodpoints.
This is why I feel points need to be distributed more evenly.

@oTechnic said:
Not everyone need to gen-rush. If im playing survivor, and it is no ruin or it is ruin but it is cleansed. I like doing gens with other survivors for more bp. Also I like hiding, and doing totems.
I want the killer to try look for me like hide and seek, instead of just running away wasting so much of the killers time as possible.
SMH. You're so clueless.
-
Just died on the hook to a similar group of survivors. They were 9 to 11 rank and the killer was 18. Nah...I'll mive on to the next match thank you very much.
-
Fix your game devs. Please...I just really don't feel like playing anymore. I use to love dbd.
-
There were two questions in the op. Can you expound on "nope"?
You edited your first response to make my response look ridiculous. I also know how to use the edit button my guy.
-
Just feel how tense you get (shoulders, neck, back) when you're chasing a survivor. Just relax those muscles like you're shrugging at something that doesn't matter. You will start having fun. Trust me.

She should have3.2 speed. She's just too fast!

Give it a go. You won't regret. Just replace either BT, DS, IW, SC, Bond, Spine Chill, or SB with it.

My point is that I find it useless bc I understand the placement of gens on most of the maps. It's a wasted slot imo.

I can't remember the last time I've used it.

Pirate Build:

Stealth Build:
Iron Will + Quick & Quiet + Stake Out + Urban Evasion
I gotta try that endgame build. Looks fun.

Yes. And I combine it with kindred after the buff. SC is almost always my go to perk in almost all of my builds. I feel naked and afraid without it.
-
I feel the only change necessary is to allow him to start with 2 or 3 traps in his bag at the beginning of the game. Otherwise, I find him to be fairly strong.

Panicking as a survivor.
Getting spun as killer. (I don't play killer often).

"I'm against this feature people have been wanting, until it is now relevant to me the same way it was to them".
Until my son started playing dbd on pc, I was heavily against it because I know the type of killers on PC I would likely be facing. Now, knowing that through being able to play this with my son, our bond would grow as father and son through a game we love. Of course I'm going to be in favor of Cross-Play. That you can't see this makes me awfully sad.

@Mr_K said:
Would require PC, M$ and Sony consoles, and Switch to run the same version of the game. Any patch delay on either platform means delay on the others.
Join your son, join the PC master race.
Lol. Perhaps I should.

@Actually_Jesus said:
The only real barrier besides the actual console manufacturers (Sony is notorious for denying cross play...or is it Nintendo? I don't remember), would be framerate.
The game itself, survivors playing on a controller are at no disadvantage when compared with mouse/keyboard survivors. They can literally do all the same stuff (aside from pointless things like moonwalking) at the same pace and speed. Which in turn makes it so console killers lives wouldn't change much beyond what they already deal with. That's one thing I commend BHVR on. They definitely created something where crossplay, balance wise, is more than workable.
The issue is the framerate. Most PC players are running at at LEAST 60FPS. As far as I have seen in my own experience on my PS4 Pro, DBD on consoles has a hard time maintaining even 30fps. Framerate differential is a huge issue.
I never considered the framerate angle. Thanks for the info.

It's quite likely, as it would solve a very important issue, matchmaking. Also dedicated servers are being implemented which are the framework for cross-platform.
I really hope it is implemented soon, because it would be a ton of fun to play with my son in matches.

For all the people that keep asking this, someone on Monto’s YouTube comment found that that they all are friends, all names end in BHVR, they are from Quebec, and have rank 20 survivors fully perked out... if you still wanna believe these are four people pretending to be BHVR devs on the PTB so be it.
Anyone can change names on pc at anytime. I just said Monto never confirmed it in his video.
Calm down. LOL
-
I'm noticing longer queue times on survivor side since dedicated servers went live. Right now it's 1:23 est US and the queues are terribly long.
-
There was no confirmation in that particular video from Monto that the survivors he played against were actual behaviour employees. Though, if they were? YOWZER! SMH

@Mr_K said:
Your connection may seem ok but you won't be able to tell if the killer's connection is bad until you get hit.
Two more games. In both, the hitboxes seemed fine, although I did notice some latency issues from time to time when fast vaulting.
-
Ps4:
First game went swimmingly. But it was only the first of many. The queue was fairly long, but the connection compared to p2p was definitely an upgrade.
-
It really is a great change. Damn good job devs!

What I have learned from Xbox Live is that my mother has slept with many people.
LMAO!!
-
I almost always open the gates immediately when playing solo. I feel like 99ing should be a technique left for swfs with comms.
-
It's tough to say, because I see a lot of the same at certain times on the weekdays (usually starting around 4pm est in the US). But, I imagine there's more of an influx of players on the weekends that might magnify the feeling of a more toxic player base.
-
@johnmwarner said:
Getting unhooks is a lot of points and even more if you use WGLF of course people race their own teammate for it.
I get that. It is just so frustrating when we all could be maximizing our efforts to get the gates open and escape. It is what it is I guess.
-
"Once again, if you realize that other people are going to use Sprint Burst to get the save before you and be very altruistic then..."
I do not have esp. I am not going to stop going for saves because I have to anticipate that someone is going to race me to the unhook.
You're actually putting words in my mouth to fit your agenda. I'm done trying to convince you of the point of my ORIGINAL POST. It really is straight forward, and I don't feel it was necessary to write an essay to placate one hard-headed poster.
-
Very little reward for the grind. I do not plan on purchasing the next rift. It was too much of a headache.

@Fibijean said:
If you run Kindred, and you're happy to let others get the unhooks, I'm genuinely confused as to what the problem is.
Then you meed to reread the op, bc I mentioned nothing about kindred until I responded to someone who MENTIONED kindred. SMH
-
"You did not detail at all that you would "peel off to repair generators" in the original post."
The point of the original post was that AS I'm going for the save, another survivor who sees me sb past to get the unhook. Whether I mention that I peel off or not (which I do unless we group heal), was not the point.
You should have deduced that the survivor who sb past me should peel away and that I will peel away when he does sprint past me is common ######### sense.
-
@oxygen said:
Unhooks are probably the most time-effective way to earn points, more points than doing an entire gen solo in just a second (assuming it's a safe unhook). At least We're Gonna Live Forever requires a safe unhook nowadays, back when it didn't you saw some truly selfish stuff 😄
The real pain is when you're using Kindred and you're on the hook, and you still see all 3 survivors race eachother to the hook. I'm using this perk specifically so two of you can stay on gens unless the person closest to me gets found, cut it out 😥
I run kindred for this purpose as well. Maybe the devs should rework a more effective distribution of points awarded per objective so that survivors aren't always throwing games to race each other for the unhook.
-
@OnryosTapeRentals said:
If you know your teammates are very altruistic and will go for the saves then repair generators instead.
I'm in solo matches. If I see someone going for a save, I peel off to repair generators. That's why I created the thread. I'm frustrated with survivors who continue to throw games bc god forbid they don't get all the unhooks in a single match.
Perhaps you should more closely read the op bf you respond?

I just simply dodge loading screens when I see a hidden offering from the killer. I just assume it's a mori. On to the next match thank you very much...

Fix the game!!!!
