For those of you playing survivor lower than 100%, you're crazy. Learn at 100% and your looping will get progressively better.

yo,
there are really only 2 killers that had the biggest advantage of this perk and that is Legion and Plague.
Now, after a survivor dies or DC ( 12% penalty only applies to 4 survivors ), you just manage 6% with 3 survivors injured at the same time and that's way too little.
What about the Perks like: Prove Thyself, Overzealous, Resilience, Deja vu ? You can't compensate that with Thana alone anymore.
Too bad: from a top tier to an absolutely dead perk. I am at a loss for words....

R.I.P.
Who tf uses deja vu?

Yeah but that's two people not doing gens at all. And with the increasing gens times plus the killer stacking multiple slowdowns I don't think survivors have the time to have 2 people off gens
In what fantasy world do you live where you think other survivors will be doing gens while you try to get MoM value? One survivor will be cowering in a corner somewhere or hiding in a locker and the other one will be randomly running around for no apparent reason. 😄😄

Garbage devs as usual. 😄😄

Run it with Calm Spirit and you're practically invisible. 😉

Yes.

For a nurse game to be fun you need a mediocre nurse. God nurses are literally inescapable and baby nurses will end up just walking at you. I don't blame anyone for not wanting to play against either.
I hate baby nurses who never use their blinks. Especially when you're expecting them to blink. I mean if you're not going to learn how to use their power, why the hell are you even playing as that killer?

Depends, DH has higher risk of being found and cleanse right away. HG is possible to get a hook or two consistently.
If HG Hexes are in hard to find place, it may work while Plaything actives for easy down.
I've just never had a problem with HG as a survivor. Like, never.
-
I do well as a solo bc I nevwr relied on dh or ds. So while I feel killer has gotten stronger, my experience at solo and understanding how many other perks synergize allow me to escape a good deal more than survivors who only dpended on crutch perks and their friends.

@C3Tooth said:
Plaything + Penti are the best pair of Hex. Survivors tend to cleanse Hex anyway, so Haunted Ground works better than Devour Hope.
Nah, as a survivor, Haunted Ground doesn't bother me. Devour Hope, on the other hand, can be crippling.

I created the same post a few days ago. The devs are just ridiculously flawed at their job.

He went into diabetic shock and is in a coma.

Stop dive-bombing hooks and maybe you'll win more. I win a great deal as solo because I play smart and patient.
-
I know a lot of you are going to hate this, but they need to implement proximity chat. Include a mut option for anyone who doesn't want to be on mic. Just communicating with only one person in an swf can be extremely helpful. I often play only with my son, and we are very successful even though we are playing with two randoms. NBA2k has a proximity chat in their game that actually works. Includes is a mute option to silence any toxic players in the game. I honestly don't understand why a lot of people frown on this idea.
-
You're already grinding through a bloodweb that costs tons of bps. I'm okay with that. But to add insult to injury by forcing you to purchase the next prestige level? Are you telling me you don't find that ridiculous?
-
I find lightweight and overcome to be a fairly decent combo.

I thought your point was "I can attest that this update does affect me more than a swf".
If it's actually not understanding the complaints because of the survs own gameplay then yeah I can 100% relate to that.
It does affect me, but it doesn't excuse my poor play or anyone else's if we're not using our minds.
There was more than one point I was making in the post. 😊👍

All that was true before and nothing in the patch is making survivors not do gens or swarm, that's their own choice.
That was my point: even before the update, survivors don't use their heads, even in a swf. It won't change unfortunately. I just don't understand some of the complaints based on how poorly some of these survivor play.

So I'm seeing this idea thrown around a lot that solo que was specifically nerfed harder in this patch than survivor in general somehow, and I just don't see where.
Can someone explain this idea?
DS nerf hits everyone equally, so does DH and gen times.
Survivors got OTR, so you don't even need to worry about your teammates bringing BT, you can do it yourself. So isn't that better for solos?
Survivor in general got weaker so of course solo que did because... they're survivors. But what is specifically targeting solo que?
While as a solo survivor, I can attest that this update does affect me more than a swf (I do play with my son as well and communicatiin is key to doing well), but I don't think the update was meant to nerf US particularly.
What I find problematic with other survivors is that they refuse to work on gens, even when one is 75 to 80 percent complete. Or if I jump off a gen to go save, they jump off as well and follow me instead of sitting tight and completing the main objective. Or worse, they use their sprint burst to get ahead of me to selfishly get the unhook ahead of me, AND THEN END UP GOING DOWN IMMEDIATELY AFTER SAVING.
The other issue, which has plagued this game for years is swarming hooks to farm someone, who immediately goes down. They are actually losing points toward an emblem for this action. Blows my mind.
I get that some survivors think it's "unfun" to do gens. I get it. I find it can be boring too. But sometimes you just have to suck it up and use your head.
Do the devs need to reevaluate some of these killer slow-down buffs? I feel they do. But survivors COULD still use a modicum of good sense and intelligence when in a game to complete necessary objectives to escape.

It sounds like they just didn’t want to play that slog of a game. How can you even tell they’re a bully swf?
This just reeks of you wanting to subject players to what you already know isn’t going to be fun then getting upset when they aren’t playing along.
This! I feel changes were necessary, but as one of his perks said it best, this game has become oppressive for survivors after the update. I truly feel the devs will need to reevaluate some of the buffs to killer. If I just bought this game to paly as a syrvivor, I'd quit after a few games.

Communication is everything... Without communication you can't even easily gather everyone on the same gen for the last 2 gens and that's the basic of the basic... Let alone things like 99% the last gen with a teammate going for unhooking taking a hit then immediately pop adrenaline to heal etc.
Lol. At times even your friends in a swf game don't communicate. But, yeh, solo sucks.
-
I didn't run crutch perks and entice the killer into chasing me. I never relied on swf. As someone who could do very well as solo survivor (I've been playing since 2018), this update indeed has made it awfully miserable for us. I'm not complaining, but Jesus some dev at behaviour must have been getting owned as a killer main and decided to make it easy for themselves. 😄😄
-
When I play with kindred, all I see are two survivirs crouched around while a killer camps. MEANWHILE, I'm frantically trying to get gens done.
-
I also think it has a lot to do with the number of survivors who actually relied on a crutch perk like dh before it was nerfed into the ground.

Just give it some time when the other half of our community gets home from work/summer school- you’ll appreciate it only being 10’s when those guys bring in their nasty gen slowdown builds.

I'm not trying to be a smartass, but are you sure all gens had been repaired when you tried to open the gate?
I'm totally not asking because I might've ever tried to open a gate at 1 gen left thinking we were done with repairs. I've never done that, I swear...
I actually thought about this later. Did I actually try to open both doors with a gen remaining? It's quite possible. I had very little sleep the night before and I've been known to have rather large brainfarts from time to time. 😄

Basically teabag a teammate at hook and not bother rescuing it basically shows they never win in this game and wanna being a little #####.
I got to a red envelope before another survivor and used it (you know, bloodpoints and all). She followed me around after that throwing pallets and vaulting windows next to me to get the killer's attention. She subsequently went down and I DID proceed to teabag her on the hook. It was immensely satisfying.

Grades are not used for matchmaking. They reset every month.
The date of the post is February 5th. Are you telling me that not one of those survivors has at least ranked up to copper since January 13th? 🙄
-
Thanks, it did fix itself. 😊
-
I used it just to test it out with the wiggle feature. I would never use it in a meta build. Most everyone is just testing it out, and, as a survivor main, I don't find it all that useful even after the change.

Skill isn't exclusively about surviving. Sometimes it's about distracting the killer long enough for your teammates to survive.
Which you did!

This is sad.
I used to really respect Dowsey but he's slowly but surely becoming yet another "bash the devs" channel
Really hope VHS picks up sooner rather then later that he can switch to that before going full SC on propaganda negativity.
I know i'm going to get flack for this but it's really hard to look at things like this and not see mr 200 win streak on twins being salty cause he suddenly has to start facing survivors of his own caliber
Yeh. I just stumbled across Dowsey's YT channel recently and I kept thinking, if he's bashing dbd this hard why is he still playing? Then I realized, as is the case with most popular content creators, you have to serve your viewers.

That quote by Patrick is absolutely ridiculous. If I run a killer for five gens or someone else in my match runs him that long, I certainly feel like it's a win. This most definitely should be included in the algorithm that calculates one's mmr. What is wrong with this guy. BTW..LOSE THE MAN BUN PATRICK. LMAO
-
Who?
-
He was recently buffed bc he use to be garbage. Learn how to play against him and stop whining.
-
Starstruck has never really affected me as a survivor. I've been downed once in the number of times I've seen it. It's garbage and a waste of a killer perk slot if you ask me.

I already answered this two times :
- I said no one deserves to be treated this way, including survivors
- I said I am talking about the killer experience because I play killer the majority of my time but if you have something to share about the survivor experience you are welcome to do it.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2764172#Comment_2764172
I said Victor was hungry because I was playing Twins. By the way in this game I did not tunneled only used Victor as bodyguard of the basement. But this strategy is already too much for them to handle and led to a mental breakdown when they wish cancer to strangers on the internet I guess.
Tunneling is fun because it means you are always chasing. I don’t want to play a gen patrolling simulator. I would rather have a game where I am chasing for 90% of the time and get only 1 kill than a game where I am chasing for 40% of the time patrolling 60% of the time and get 4k.
It seems that survivors that gen rush when a teamate is getting tunneled, wait for the whole end game collapse time at the gates for the killer to show up (I don’t ever show up, I break stuff instead) and then escape feel frustration and bitterness because they realize how boring it was to hold m1on a gen and not getting chased. DBD is about chasing / getting chase, so if you choose to hold m1 all game instead of saying hello to the killer it’s your choice, don’t unleash your frustration on the killer.
You should still be more clear in your title.
-
No. No we don't.
-
Out of five games, I've had a killer (the chicken lady) who played fair and gave me hatch at the end and told me I deserved it. In another match I got tunneled by a trapper who shook his head at me the whole time for whatever reason (I still pipped). In the other three games, I did the gens and died on hook watching players crouch around doing nothing.
I'd say my games are going as well as expected. 🤪
-
Why are you singling out survivors? Killers do it too.
-
But Mr. Man Bun in the Q&A says it's working as intended.

Three years and devotion 15. This is my religion.

I uninstalled. Haven't looked back. Still lurk the page to read posts like these. Played since a year after launch and it just steadily went down hill.

And unless they get a safe unhook, I'm fairly certain they lose emblem points.

Delete him.

Play the game.

Chase survivors, down them.
