I had to run afk after the 1st 60 seconds of a match. Running Trapper. Wife screams because the faucet shoots water everywhere so I run in, get water shut off and eventually return. 1 gen left. I 3k on the match because they got cocky and tried to swarm my hook, but I pre-trapped it in the beginning. That starts a snowball where I get the time to isolate the remaining gens with traps and start picking them off.
This was Groaning Storehouse with 1 gen on each side and the mid gen remaining.
Gens are fast, but smart play can counter.
You're talking about SWFCs who try and save their friends. They probably were around purple ranks?
-
It is caused by EVERYTHING going through the dedicated servers.
Change the game to directly communicate with each players computer and not force it to go through the dedicated servers and you've fixed it excluding tweaks.
I keep saying this, dedicated servers ONLY need to monitor and record so each computer has a connection to 4 other players and a server.
Fixed, next...
-
The more I look at this game the more I'm surprised they haven't allowed the survivors to kill the killer
-
So 4 survivors play different survivor favoured maps the killer would only have 0% or 20% of a killer sided map?
-
I'm in shock that you'd say that SWF isn't a problem in a game that relies on not having much information.
Technically SWF is fun and you know your friends have your back but add 3rd party comms and it becomes hugely favoured for survivors, even playing with SWFCs as a solo.
You failed to mention console at all as your post heavily suggests you play on PC and mostly chilling with your friends as a survivor. I understand why you feel like you do but SWF is a huge buff
-
Firstly BHVR are truly on the side of money that survivors and SWFC brings in so don't worry.
Everyone including yourself realise SWF breaks the game and SWFC smashes it.
You mention about the game being about horror, we have a cowboy coming... just how terrifying is that... Yeah.
The game is about being immersed, not knowing who the killer is, where he is etc. however SWF makes money they introduced it. SWF fun is talking to your friends and the fun you can have with the killer, let's face it, it isn't the generators or totems.
I'm afraid you are also talking about PC and not console, please see any stream of SWFCs and private information relayed across the small and huge maps.
SWF has to stay, it's bad for the game but good financially to the game and it shouldn't due to SWFC but you can't prove comms as it is external to the game.
Whilst the killer sweats the SWF/SWFCs usually have a chilled easy game but to prove it needs balancing with SWF nerfs, or buffs to killer & solo survivors...
Q. Does playing with friends give you an advantage over solo players?
A. Yes, either with or without communications. Friends have your back and whilst negative plays may result in over the top altruism, it is the players choice.
There you have it, all BHVR have to do is balance the game
-
Yes you can do it, on Haddonfield survivor offering I had a toxic Nea wait to t-bag me whilst on hatch.
I noted round the back l, snuck up on them and closed it whilst cloaked... I'm expecting this to be nerfed as it was too OP for that survivor
-
Survivors and their toolboxes get buffed and complain just like the buff with DS.
BL actually got balanced which is still described as a nerf, a neverending 'exhaustion' perk.
Killers yet again suffer hearing about the promises, thank god I'm not a killer. It's is too boring winning as survivor in unbalanced SWFC (survive with friends comms).
I wish GTA 6 would hurry up
-
I loved your comment about how scary is a cowboy.
We aren't listened to, only by people at the company that have no power.
When the owners don't listen to the fans they will say they know what they are doing and then blame the fans for leaving

Only killers should have map offerings???? So half the maps would never be seen. Just endless indoor maps as most killers do better on those. What a great unbiased idea :-/
Killers in this game wont be happy until the only thing available to survivors on the bloodweb is no mither(although they would want the noise reduction nerfed) and green keys. Nothing else ever is allowed on the bloodweb. Meanwhile their bloodwebs are overflowing with moris, map offerings, add ons and perks.
"So half the maps would never be seen"
That's a bit far fetched unless maps become easy to get hold of for killers.
At the moment it takes just 1 of the 4 survivors to choose a survivor sided map, sounds fair?
Reading your comments makes me wonder why make me believe you are calling me a killer main?
Actually I read further about overflowing of things on the bloodweb and have decided why am I using logic with you except unless your arguement is because you say so? Please be realistic and constructive
-
I have to admit I enjoy winning and having fun so leaving killer and playing survivor was great.
It does become a bit boring when the killer chases a survivor all match and you just hold m1.
I wish they would make this game difficult which is why I posted a red rank option so it could be balanced four people who aren't new to it.
It worries me how difficult new killers must be finding it when they face fully meta survivors (at any rank)
-
Nothing, there shouldn't be a Mori and the idea of paying for them is disgusting
-
Spoke with a twitch 4 man swfc, she laughed about reducing the meta perks they were all running for a balanced game and just said "No".
I asked her if solo survivors of swfc were balanced and if not how is that fair.... still waiting for a response from her and BHVR.
-
Still left wondering percentage wise how do map offerings work
-
@Raven9 said:
In fact, the biggest problem starts here. When another map offering is thrown and this desired map does not hurt, the user quits or sells the game. If the desired map does not open, that offering must be returned, unfortunately, it does not exist.
Spoke with a nurse who DCd who offered a small map and lost to a big map a survivor had burnt.
After nerfs I can see why a console nurse wouldn't have fun in the corn fields, makes me wonder if killers should only have map offerings as the match was already won especially the state of the game at the moment
-
Three different views on how this works, looks like nobody knows
-
From votes so far it looks like they could make some money to balance the game for top tier players
-
That would sound fairer but now I have two different opinions on map offerings now
-
You have a single totem to cleanse at the end, it isn't difficult... even for rank 20s as there is no skill check, just hold m1
-
Wow, okay thanks
-
It's not a case of this or that, increase staff to improve product.
Chapters bring money in, fixes help prevent players leaving
-
Doesn't go far enough but at the moment it is fine.
DC affects killers and survivors its the tantrum of I'm taking my ball home and don't care if you all can't play without me.
DC should also be counted as DC on hook, three attempts then no tapping.
-
How else are the Devs going to know to punish the new DC on hook?
-
Ultra low console

You don't need to hook someone to trigger Surge. In fact only a handful of Killers can't proc Surge easily due to alternative attacks. If they did that one change the perk would see a significant increase in use because it saves time kicking the gen.
Hook/dying state and within a range? What I live is that map size causes gens to be rushed but killers don't have synergy with their gen defense perks such as pop, surge, ruined ruin.
Survivors now have the same with balanced balanced landing truly being an exhaustion perk so you get to choose one exhaustion perk, but second chance perks don't match with the standard roles mapping them meta for survivors such as the big idea being BT, DS, UNBREAKABLE, DH etc.
BHVR grow tired of the whinge but I'd love to see them play a SWFC team again live on stream to show me a balanced game
-
Still too early to tell, I'm confused where things are now.
It's like your supermarket changing where things were
-
Totally agree with OP but they don't want to balance it, there is too much fun for survivors and that's 80% paying players
-
I'm thinking it looks like it is for kids but give me a few hours on it before I make a comment about it looking snazzy

Surge is actually pretty good. Its biggest issue is the fact it needs the same treatment Infectious Fright got and just trigger on a down.
That's kind of my point, surge isn't good enough at the moment. I'd consider it if I were to hit someone but to hook someone? All killer perks seem to be more and more for late game

Just makes me want whatever the Devs were on when they came up with the new sabo.
They revisit each cornerstone to make amendments to try and keep things interesting
-
New PTB just makes it even further fun for killers... Lower number of killers, longer wait times or as BHVR call it... "matchmaking'.
-
I'm so glad it isn't just me that feel underwhelmed by this slow cowboy and his breakable chain gun.
Recent perks:
Surge, Cruel limits, Mindbreaker : terrible
Zanshin tactics, blood echo, nemesis: poor, nemesis is great but means you lose a slot to play with other obsession perks
The only decent perks were with survivors having inner strength and breakout for swfc sweat teams but now swfc sweat teams can pass their health state to the runner?
I think the best advise for me is to find another game there is no fun in unbalanced games
-

Maybe some killer's should change their builds, I noticed some pretty good and interesting ones. If the killer fails to pressure the gens, its their fault 💁
Lmao, I think the Devs truly know the changes to toolboxes are a joke. I mostly play survivor and don't bother with toolboxes to have a semi interesting game. Gens pop left right and centre after one chase because the killer can't be everywhere.
I have noticed killers facecamping and the gen strategy if they can depending on the map.
Killers will leave and we will find ai killers which will make the game as boring as hell
-
I was so excited we were going to have a viable killer, but that's another new killer I'm looking at who is a lumbering slow killer.
-
Lol, DS is OP and everyone knows it including BHVR. 60 seconds to be immune from the killer in this game is a long time.
If I have DS I'm running to unhook that next survivor on the hook with my BT, the killer can't touch either of us or has to hang around.
DS really shouldn't be nerfed as it was supposed to be an anti-tunnel, BT fixes that so why does it even exist?
1st perk with BT that I add, the rest are great so I just mix and match to pay around with them
-
Fred, no wait that's taken... Bert?
-
They addressed survivors complaints of hitboxes but called to point out extra lag is caused by having the servers, something that is rehearsed and suitable questions game picked.
Actually addressing SWFC balance issues of the game aren't even talked about I notice

So can the hulk, me thinks it is the hulk!
Imagine if it's Hulk! Although we already have a doctor in the game
-
I tried to message a nurse on console just now to wish her well as cornfields aren't good for her. She had turned off messages and friend requests
-
I main whichever is fun so none until the game gets balanced against sweaty SWFCs
-
So many questions, who were you, red rank survivors are easy to get to now, was it solos/swf/swfc, etc yep, one game I get potatoes or sweaty mash
-
Thanks BHVR, never let it be said they only focus on survivors and fixing their bugs.
For the past few nights PS4 killer lobbies are taking 2 seconds instead of 9 seconds. Whilst there is room for improvement I am happy to close the job as this is over 300% faster than before.
Whilst a green rank killer I am constantly facing red rank SWFCs but hear this will be fixed once we hide all ranks except our own gg
-
I'd also ask why DL tells survivors it is active
-
I'd ask if I kill my obsession but get a new one does DL reactivate
-
If I run the meta I'm afraid BHVR will nerf them like old ruin
-
BHVR appear to have made a mistake from a players perspective in that gameplay goes through the dedicated servers.
They should have monitored play from servers and client/game for cheating and stats and allow quicker p2p gameplay.
It is likely something they could change however
-
Killers get to decide if they want to play the team, if the team don't ready up when I'm a killer I'll move onto my next insta lobby
-
Survivor perks are amazing at the moment when compared to killers, it's why I mostly play survivor now
-
Looking forward to this, BHVR should be proud of this achievement.
