You can't force people to play with you. They will just alt+f4 or go stand in a corner if you try to force people to play against teams they can't beat.
-
I run corrupt + deadlock on all my killers but it must be hellish for newbies.
-
Intended play. The only thing anticamp is intended to do is keep people from standing right on the hook, not give you a 100% safe unhook.
-
This is a bad idea because it would be too hard for 99% of people to understand. Distance is a much easier thing to get.

and killers having 100+ perks and add ons in total to see survivors aura and having infinite wall hacks is ok ?
Yes, because killers need to actually find survivors. Survs don't need to interact with killers at all to do their objectives.
-
Just fix the damn hex spawns already. No more of this bullshit where they can spawn next to generators and literally right in front of survivors at the start of the match.
-
Please read your post and then edit it so that people know what the heck you're talking about, OP.
-
Sometimes people have obsession perks. Also, this is the behavior a lot of fictional serial killers actually have.
-
I literally cannot believe people claim the game used to be more balanced. Have we forgotten the days of being able to permanently destroy every nonbasement hook on the map and instablind flashlights? Trapper's traps being permanently destroyable by sabo? Wraith not only getting knocked out of his power by flashlights but stunned and hindered? Infinite loops? This was also before many current meta perks for killers were even in the game.
-
Why should killers have to switch to a character they don't like or mabye even don't even own to get games?
-
Tne current listed changes means that Xeno will be locked out of his power for pretty much the duration of every chase.
-
🤡
Some killers are going to be able to take better advantage of certain perks than others.
-
You posted a huge screed in response to an utterly normal milquetoast comment. I'm not sure what you expected to get out of something like that.
You are here to pick a fight and I aint playing that game
-
Yeah I hope so, cause if they aren't they completely murder Alien.

With respect, I do not think you realize the significance of this suggestion. Dead by Daylight is very, very, very popular in the LGBT+ community. The winner of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars 5 really likes playing Dead by Daylight, and has recommended the game to other RuGirls—that actively stream the game now in their personal time, in drag, for fun. When you have someone with celebrity status, who was on television, recommend your product to other people with celebrity status, who were on television, it will have a ripple effect. That ripple led to Matthew Cote going on Boulet Brothers. I hope you watch the DBD episode to gain perspective.
There should 100% be a charm for everything under the LGBT+ umbrella because these stakeholders are VERY important. Whether your personally agree with it or not should remain off the table. DBD is a business, and the business needs to grow. Telling an important sub-community "We have space in our game for some accepted LGBT+, but not you." is not the message a professional company should send. By creating pride charms in the first place, BHVR committed to the idea. Now they must execute accordingly.
Every single person that voted down this suggestion is acting on emotion and not logic. Give the Witch her charm. Let her exist.
Settle down, Beavis

Your argument being if the devs don't spoon feed killers, they will react by slugging every survivor as a form of protest?
Right now, hooks are placed way too close on most maps, making wiggling almost pointless. Unless a survivor is running multiple perks designed for it, escaping from a killer’s grasp is nearly impossible. The Petrified Oak add-on barely makes a difference, and perks like Boil Over or Breakout feel useless most of the time.
The problem is killers almost never fail to reach a hook. No matter where you get downed, there’s usually one just a few steps away. This makes the wiggle mechanic feel like a joke, it’s supposed to be a chance to escape, but in reality, it rarely ever happens.
Some people argue that hooks shouldn’t be compared to pallets because hooks “progress the match,” but that’s a weak argument. Survivors have to play smart with limited resources like pallets, so why should killers always have a hook guaranteed? If survivors can get stuck in dead zones with no pallets, there should also be areas where hooks are scarce to make killers think about where they down people.
I suggest hook placement should be adjusted so killers actually have to work to secure them, instead of always having one nearby. And wiggle progress should be slightly buffed so it’s not completely useless. The game should reward both sides for playing smart—not just give killers a free hook every time they down a survivor.
I think you should play this game more, especially spending some time as Killer, so that you know what you are actually talking about. It's not as easy as you make out.
-
This is likely to be highly subjective, which is the worst kind of thing for mods to deal with.
-
I don't think we need a charm for every different identity out there.
-
Nah these are unneccesary.
-
Let me make this perfectly clear to you: the last time the developers made it harder to hook people, it almost destroyed the game and caused a literal killer strike.
Also you're on the record complaining about slugging and you want to make it harder to hook people. Whoooooooosh -
Why should you get an entirely safe unhook?

Brother, there're 38 playable killers in the game and they just keep coming…. how exactly will SWFs "weaponise" this hypothetical ban system?
Especially taking into account that the system's gonna present your available options based on the killers you faced the most in that day/week/month? For instance, the system sets up a roster of 6 killers and you can ban up to 3 of them.
And it's not a dislike for certain killers, but a fatigue of facing the same character for the third time in a row repeatedly
Forcing people to play killers they don't like or may not even have or get multi hour queue times is stupid. The killers are not there to make sure you have fun.
-
Proxy camping is a normal and expected game mechanic.
-
This is clearly the wrong game for you, OP.
-
This is dumb. The cages teleport away automatically when he gets near, it's a 100% safe rescue.

Would need to be real careful with implementation. Some killers get "legitimately" teabagged. Think e.g. huntress or slinger when trying to dodge their shot. For vast majority of killers, this is no issue though.
On the other hand, I don't think it fixes the core of the issue. People will find some other creative way to show disrespect. Like killers W-S-ing survivors. Once you disable teabags, survivors will point. If you disable that, you'll get nodding. Basically you can't really get rid of it without making the game very sterile.
A duck to evade an attack would not be caught by this.

If you need to camp and tunnel at 2 gens, less, or at all. You are out of your MMR range, and should take the loss to drop down to a bracket on par with your skills. Using cheap tactics to secure a win only artificially increases your MMR and makes things harder for you in the long run.
I do agree with the number of hooks being more influential than the number of deaths.
Yall whine when we camp, when we don't camp, when we chase, when we don't chase, and when we use our powers. How exactly are killers supposed to play the game again?

why wouldn't I go after the person who already has a hook state?
Well, with anti-tunnel, you will have a reason.
Why should survs always get a 100% safe unhook?
-
Bruh as killer I literally can't even choose who I run into 99% of the time. Most of my "tunnelling" kills are just morons unhooking while I'm still in the area of the hook, and in that case why wouldn't I go after the person who already has a hook state? Slugging changes are whatever but "anti-tunnel" will kill the game.
-
Why should you be able to know what addons the killer has?
-
Vecna's already in the game
-
No. CoH was nerfed into the ground for good reason.
-
TBH this map dumpsters some killers and makes others stronk. it's generally a fairly good map for survs.
-
Keep your fetishes to yourself please.
-
The boiler room is also within reach of like two different boon totems to make things even worse.
-
The real problem, OP, is that you hate having to adapt to new things. We had the same sorts of whines here over Nemesis being given a whole extra .5 meters reach on his tentacle.
-
just join the other one
-
Probably because the devs don't listen to people who's only reason for objecting is hatred of change
-
If your content relies on griefing newbies, then mabye you should be firmly ushered to the door and urged to find a different game to create that content in. Why should newbies suffer so some jerk can get clicks?
-
I just slug anyone who runs up there and then stand on their body until they bleed out to make my point extra clear

This is exactly what has bothered me in this game for so long. It's a GROUP activity yet some people ignore that in favor of their own fun. "Your experience doesn't matter, it's more important that I do what I want." I don't understand these people. Like you said, I can't imagine playing with friends like that or even having that attitude to strangers.
Half the time I let everyone go or mess around just because it's more fun that way to me. And even if I'm playing to win as killer for adepts etc, I've never needed to tunnel just to win. Same with people going out of their way to slug or camp hooks/hexes. And there's nothing implemented to really stop them. Hexes don't turn off or move etc if a killer camps them (same with torment gen camp). Even with the anti-camp hook, the killer can chase them down and put them right back on the hook with no form of penalty.
At this point the devs need to do a lot of work shopping and effort to find a good solution but, people should be able to enjoy the game how it's meant to be played instead of dealing with the growing number of players with terrible selfish attitudes. The killer is not there to make sure you have fun and he shouldn't be expected to.
-
The vast majority of tunnels happen because people are stupid enough to go for the unhook when the killer is still nearby.
-
Leave lightborn alone, it's fine the way it is
-
Do you want a new killer strike, OP? Because this is how you get it
-
SWFs can literally hide in the basement of badham with the right setup and be unkillable.
-
Rather than adding perks as baseline, it would be better to create larger incentives for killers to hook people. Currently doing so actively harms you against an SWF.
-
Imagine being the kind of person who thinks that Blast Mine is fun for killers
-
Congrats, you just created another reason to slug people.
-
the OP should be forced to print out and eat these terrible ideas, Jesus christ
