Don't forget #4, the supposed killer main who shows up and claims that he never hooks anyone twice in a row, never tunnels or slugs, and always gets 4k.
-
Why should I have to throw the game just so you and your buddies can have fun?

@Royval said:
why say Ghoul play nurse or blight lol
Because the type of person who teabags hates ghoul the most.

It's not supposed to stop all camping.

Taking your frustration out on the next group of survivors that doesn't know why they'll just play scummy themselves against the next killer they play against creating a self feeding cycle.
In my experience survs are equipped with a self starter

No that's not a valid argument, at all lol You people are so desperate to trap others into playing matches with you, idk it's kinda sad tbh. I'd like BHVR to focus on actually balancing the game/making the game enjoyable for SoloQ and less about penalties because other players feel entitled to other players time. "Give up on hook" isn't in the game anymore, so I can see what kind of player you are.
There are four other people in every game and you are not more important than any of them.

A hour ban is crazy for the first time punishment. what if the killer was hacking and you went down to instant two tap? you would be slapped with a hour penalty
Report them after the game if you think they are hacking, don't just leave because you SUSPECT they are. Most of the cope posts about hacking are just people who got outplayed by the killer or by survs.
The disconnect epidemic is a huge problem and the current penalties clearly aren't deterring people adequately. -
Why do people keep making these "throw the trap" suggestions? Cut it out. Stop trying to make Trapper a projectile killer.
-
Tunnelling is when you try your best to get someone out of the game no matter how far away they are when they're unhooked, like if you ignore easier stuff just to get that person regardless of the actual detriment to your game.
The following things, IMO, don't really count:
-punishing survs for an unsafe unhook
-going after that person because you caught them healing/they just ran into you/they're still injured
-They just randomly run into you by bad luck and you chase them because of course you wouldSlugging, in the griefing sense, is when you down someone just to make them bleed out, as opposed to more tactical reasons like them running to a dead zone, or having a chance to down two survs in quick succession.
That being said, I condone it in the case that a surv just tries to give up the game, or grief the survs (pointing to where others are) or trying to abandon the game, etc, and I may also do it to someone who's been exceptionally obnoxious (pick me behavior, constant clicking and teabagging, etc).

That's what happens when a dev team caters to the majority. This is the result.
I aint gonna hear that from people who disconnect at the very first down or hook.

Wait until you get a mission that requires scooping a surv off a gen.

Your favorite thing does not need to be in DBD.
Also, learn to use thumbnails.

Killers can, and do, just focus on two survivors the entire match. The person who is first hooked, and the person who unhooked them. Worrying about 2 people in a match is a lot easier than worrying about 4. And if you're able to get one of those 2 people out of the match ASAP… then you're in a 3v1 situation. You can argue semantics if you want and not consider this tunneling… but… idk what to tell you. It's basically tunneling. I'm guessing that's why the 'insanely punitive ptb standards' had the condition that any survivors out of the match before 6 hook stages triggered the anti-tunnel mechanics.
And to be clear… what was proposed on the ptb was far from being 'insanely punitive.' You just might have a skill issue with the game.
Your suggested 'fixes' are half-baked and play right into this type of specific scenario.
I understand what tunneling means, and I'm telling you that what you've suggested does nothing to disincentivize tunneling.
Any other questions?
Next you're going to tell us you're a 12,000 hour killer main and he never has problems hitting all four survs, spreading hook states, and getting 4ks all the time!
seriously people aren't fooled by these surv main posts. -
Frankly Vigil would be OP even without the aura that affects nearby survs.
-
This event is not worth it for me as killer because the rewards are unenticing and as usual with these events, normal MMR is ignored so I just get sent against toxic uber sweats constantly.
-
Trapper would be D tier even if you made every addon he has basekit.
-
Star Wars is wildly off theme for DBD. That junk belongs in Fortnite, not here.
-
Surv toxicity and a long line of patches that have made playing my main (Nemesis) considerably unfun
-
Vigil needs to be nerfed into the dirt. It's ridiculous that it works on literally every status effect, including exhaustion, and completely neuters large numbers of killer kits that rely on various status effects.
-
You decided to ruin the game for four other people because of your own entitlement and did it often enough to get penalized even under the current extremely loose system.
-
18 pallets on a map is just ugh
-
I don't want throwable traps for Trapper.

This game gonna be an example for life services of how fast food approach to the content sooner or later will lead a game to an unstable mess with weak potential. Not every game is Fortnite, yk.
The only one reason this game is alive is Lack of competition. Identity V and the upcoming Carnival Hunt are way too competitive in the assym-horror genre. TCM or Friday the 13th are examples of being held hostage to a single brand identity that's going out of fashion. This is the only reason why DBD survives and still has a high online.
DBD had something that can be called “golden middle” . The provided both original and licensed content. Original concept and popular trend. It has diversified both the casual and competitive community. Different regions. Different approaches.
But fast pace leads to cheaper, more monotonous content. Recycled material is an attempt to conserve resources. This inevitably impacts quality. We all know why they were looking for employees who knew how to use AI. They're trying to speed up their production.
I'll just stay to see where such greed will lead this game. And VHS was basically "surv mains: the game"
-
Almost all my nemesis matches post update are two gens done before the first down, unless the survs are profoundly stupid.
-
Get rid of the map wide notification when he uses a portal
-
Trapper currently gets completely neutralized by someone just following you around and disarming all your traps.
-
They tried nothing and they're all out of ideas!
-
So basically you want to nerf literally every aspect of Plague and call it a buff. You can see yourself out now.
-
Krasue needs an addon that makes survs trip balls when eating mushrooms.
-
Define tunnelling and camping.

But doesn't this make Decisive Strike just always the better option and Off the record kinda useless? Might as well fall down and stun the killer and try to run for few seconds than just get endurance bit later and get downed again.
OTR is fine if used for it's intended purpose instead of offensive body blocking.
-
There are other killers that can hit over shorter objects. There's nothing wrong with the basic mechanic.
-
Trapper needs a lot but here's some minmal stuff:
-Haste whenever a trap goes off or is disarmed so that you can either get to the trap faster, or get value when you are in a chase.
-Basekit Bloody Coil, then change the actual iri addon to flat out take a health state instead of just hurting uninjured people
-Start with all traps -

I have three nitpicks/concerns with this personally:
- As far as ways to nerf Blight go, this isn't a very fun or interactive one.
- If you start introducing map changes like this with different Killers, I think it makes the game harder to learn, the difficulty of which is already something people are quite rightly worried about.
- This isn't a solution to Blight warping the game's map design, it's just giving into it
The recent buffs to pallet spawns is effectively what it would look like. The current number is fine for Blight (but bad for most others).

@brewingtea said:
I would love more killer-dependent things. Nerf the actual problem killers while leaving the weaker ones alone.
That's basically the idea. Currently certain killers NEED more pallets for there to be a balanced experience for survs, but having a zillion pallets makes other killers miserable to play.
-
It's fine if you use it for it's intended purpose instead of offensive body blocking.
-
People under the age of 18 aren't allowed to play this game, OP.
-
Off the Record needed to lose endurance because it was being used for offensive body blocking nearly exclusively, not anti tunnel.
-
It is not the obligation of the killer to make sure surv players have fun.
-
Can we stop calling for nerfs to a killer that hasn't even been out a week? Wait a month or so for the data to come in and for people to find the counters.
-
I would like some haste after a trap goes off or is disarmed, and also for Bloody Coil to take a health state (meaning it can down people) instead of just injuring healthy survs. An addon pass would also be appreciated.
-
Never played against Plague, huh?
-
Frankly in about half my killer games someone goes bot as soon as they get downed for the first time, throwing the game for the rest of the team
-
Everything spawns too far away on Swamp, it's a known issue with almost every map object.

Making addons basekit is nearly always an idea that lacks critical thinking, I mean barb's glasses basekit again, really? We need this killer to be even more obnoxious at pallets?
There's like multiple killers that flat out can bypass pallets or hit you over them.
-
I refuse to play if I can't use Lightborn.
-
Few things annoy me more than boil over and it will always result in me just dumping the perp back on the floor unless I'm right in front of a hook. That same guy will also run flip flop and then get mad at me in endgame chat for slugging… it's like, bro, you don't want to be hooked so I'm not gonna hook you
-
I like this killer suggestion far more than the "add my favorite character from <franchise>" posts
-
You can literally have two people run in at the same time, with good body block skills he can't physically down someone before you nail the unhook.
