  • It's not or not exactly cheating, it depends on the resolution being used. Yes, there are extreme resolutions that give a competitive advantage but common resolutions like 1600x1080 doesn't give much of a noticeable advantage while providing more frames per second. It all depends.

  • As a Blight main, I agree. He's perfectly balanced. Maybe they'll do an addon touchup but that's all, his basekit is fine.

  • Split up against them since they only way they can realistically mass slug and snowball is when the survivors are relatively near each other, Don't be afraid to use pallets against Victor, something I like to do is run past a pallet like I'm gonna loop the pallet and then crouch to hide and break LOS in order to slam it on Victor when he runs through it. This is all easier said than done in solo queue which is what I usually play but they do help. The killer is flawed in design promoting scummy gameplay.

Well let's agree to disagree then ik I'm right so yea no point wasting my time with this

Alright, if you're going to be ignorant, that's fine.

    DBD-Red-ranks.jpg

But according to recent killer stats, Blight, Nurse and Huntress which are three of the hardest killers to play are lowest in kill rates in Red Ranks. Everyone knows the potential of a good Blight, Nurse and Huntress which are almost unbeatable but that's when the player has close to mastered the killer. I don't know if you're in Red Ranks or not, which it seems you aren't even though rank doesn't mean all that much but the hardest games do come from Red Ranks which reflects from the stats that they are lowest in kill rates implying that their powers are difficult to use effectively. Maybe Blight is easier at the Green Ranks but against competent survivors, not so much which makes mastering him to his highest potential even more satisfying. Blight is the perfect example of a killer who is very strong but only based on the players skill level. Pyramid Head is the opposite, just like Freddy, an easy killer to play that anyone can 4k with. Say whatever you want, but it's a known fact that Blight is much harder to master than Pyramid Head but I guess you probably also think that Freddy is harder to master than Nurse so it's alright.

How do You post videos on here? I don't know how people find him hard. If you find him hard to play, I guess I'm just more skilled with him then you? Also, hitting prediction shots through walls is a lot harder than you think

Be my guest, but putting up a video of a handpicked clip means anything since there are many factors to account for. I've played both Pyramid Head and Blight at Rank 1 against 4 man sweat squads and Pyramid Head was far easier to 4k with. He's easy to tunnel with and like I said, can literally catch anyone in animation lock, that with his free-zoning makes him a very simple killer with a low skill floor and a low skill ceiling.

Also, when did I say Blight is hard for me? He was at first but I have about 300 hours into him so far. He does have a high skill ceiling since his power literally depends on the map and RNG along with constantly having to analyze what you have access to within the chase. Pyramid Head is the same old, follow, pretend to use your ability, use it if the survivor tries to throw the pallet or vault the window, if not, keep following and get an M1.

Blight takes much, much more skill to play than Pyramid Head does. You can ask anyone, this isn't worth discussing further.

I main him and I play all killers except trapper and hag. Blight isn't even hard I play him on console p3 literally easier to play then pyramid lol

You have no idea what you're talking about.

Blight is not easy to play at all LOL. Why do you think you never see him when you're playing survivor and when you do they get stomped? Because he is very hard to play with a very high skill ceiling, probably second or third hardest in the game. Pyramid Head is very easy to play with his free zoning and he can literally hit through objects which means anytime someone is in animation lock, it's a free hit. Don't be biased, not a good look.

  • Haddonfield.

  • I wish I stopped getting him in my games too to be honest. He's very unfun similar to Slinger. Players who main him don't know how to play a killer who takes skill and I'm a killer main who mains Blight before anyone says I'm an entitled survivor.

  • What if 2021 is just 2020 prestiged???

  • As a Blight main, I enjoy playing on Shelter Woods/Macmillan maps in general and most Coldwind maps. A lot of objects to bounce off of and contains all the standard tiles like Jungle Gyms, Single Pallet Gyms and Shack which Blight can effectively use his power on.

Honestly, I’ll take any of the girls over a Steve any day. Finding a Steve with a shred of decency is like finding a 4-leaf clover.

You haven't met me in game yet then!

  • Were you versing Spirit?

  • I wanna punch my solo queue teammates tbh

  • Whichever you want, they're all essentially skins so whoever appeals to you, main them. I main Steve and Cheryl.

  • It's the dumb-tech. If a survivor does this to you at a pallet, simply back up which allows you to get a hit if they stay inside of your model or get a hit if they try to run the loop while you're lost. Never swing when they vault into you.

  • I'm a Blight main, he isn't necessarily too weak but the lack of collision on some maps can really hurt him. I've been robbed of so many kills because of trees on Yamaoka and Red Forest as well as the Ormond snow piles in front of the main building. Also, I don't even want to talk about Swamp since most of the map is very slippery for Blight.

  • Diminishing returns. You individually work on the gen slower but it's still faster since the combined efforts equal to more.

  • Use windows in chase, really good Oni's will mindgame with their demon dash so if you feel the one you're going against is competent, fake vaults. Constantly break line of sight in chase so that he has to guess where you went instead of reacting to where you go. He can flick so LOS breaking is your best bet. If you want to hide from him specifically, it's tough but you don't drop orbs when he's in his demon-form so you can use that as the best time to hide. Especially if he isn't already chasing you but overall, it's best to just pre-drop pallets and deny him his power as long as possible. This is why in competitive, Oni isn't chosen as much since you can waste his time and not give him his power by just playing safe.

  • I main Blight and Ghostface. I don't really hear any complaints about Blight but I guess I do about Ghostface.

  • All survivors, almost all killers

  • Slinger, Pyramid Head, Stridor Spirit, Keys, BNP's, Sweat Squads ETC

  • Object of Obsession since it literally provides free information at all times for a SWF.

Bamboozle for killer since it's for killers who don't want to learn how to run tiles and instead use a a perk to force the pallet out easily.

  • This is how I feel with Blight. Glad you enjoy her!

  • Iron Will. Always has been my favorite perk and always will be.

  • Farming is still lame to be honest. Just play the game.

  • Alert and For The People. Two perks I really enjoy using.

  • Ghostface. I love the Scream movies, always have and have mained him since release. He's also the only killer with personality imo.

  • All of them but my favorites are my mains, Cheryl and Steve.

  • I agree for the most part but then things survivors abuse have to be changed as well such as using DS more as a "You can't touch me" perk and instead an anti-tunnelling perk.

  • That shows that there's a problem with Freddy. He's the easiest killer to play and almost anyone with the slightest amount of game sense can 4k with him. That, and how most of them stack slowdown addons is why no one likes him.

Cool I have over 5K hours but it doesn’t matter. If you can’t adapt to Spirit Stridor then you already peaked a long time ago. Try to learn how to actually play against her and reread my first post.

Yeah, Yeah, you DEFINITELY "Adapt" to Stridor Spirit. I'm sure being a Gen Jockey while your teammates die so you find hatch at the end is adapting for sure! Good advice, seriously.

Isn’t Iron Will arguably uncounterable if it wasn’t for Stridor? How do you reason that logic?

Also it sounds like you need to play more of both sides. You still don’t realize this isn’t a 1v1 anymore, not at this level. A killer like Spirit is going to take 4v1 to win. You have a lot to learn still.

You're comparing Iron Will to the context of a killer who's absolute BS. Spirit gives no indication or input to the survivors with no information while she has all the info she needs. Stridor Spirit is completely uncounterable. Is Iron Will that game-breaking? You know the answer. Also, don't tell me what I have and don't have to learn. I have almost 3k hours in Dead by Daylight but it doesn't take that much experience to see how unfair Spirit with Stridor is. You're literally comparing a perk to something just as broken as old mories. Very laughable.

Also, what "Level" are you talking about? OP is literally talking about Stridor Spirit alone. What are you setting the bar to? Comp games? Rank 1 SWF games? because not everyone in the game plays in 4 man SWF Deathsquads. A lot of players are solo queue and with that flawed logic to balance everything around 4 survivors all on comms, that leaves solo players in the dust which is pretty ridiculous. Seems like you have a lot to learn.

Another survivor main wanting killer nerfs because they refuse to adapt. Try actually using perks to confuse her, i.e. Quick and Quiet, Deception, Diversion, etc.

You can’t run around the same loop and expect the same outcome with every killer.

See, I've always hated the argument of "Just use perks to counter this" You shouldn't need to run a perk to counter 1 of the killers on the large roster. That is very bad and ignorant advice. Stridor Spirit is un-counterable. Can't change that fact. Once you're injured, you are dead unless the Spirit player is not using headphones.

I play both sides so I'm being completely unbiased. Spirit is unhealthy for the game in herself and then putting Stridor is just insult to injury.

  • @CashelP14 said:

It's just the only killer who needs the perk. Same way that Shadowborn is really only used on Nurse or Huntress.

Shadowborn is great and used on a lot more killers. Blight, Billy and Slinger can all get good value from it.

  • Yeah, Slinger, Hag, Freddy and Spirit are the most boring killers to go against. The problem with these killers is that they are all oppressive in their own way. Wanna play Slinger and Spirit? Okay, you zone with your mere presence which is completely unfair. Wanna just spam dream snares on a 115 percent movement speed killer? Just play Freddy who's the easiest killer in the game with the lowest skill floor and a low skill cap since anyone with basic knowledge of killer fundamentals can 4k with him at Rank 1. Hag, I dislike since she provides no chase interaction. She waits for you to step in a trap, hits you, re-traps and leaves as well as the fact that she is very campy. We need more killers like Billy, Blight and Demo. Fun killers to play as and against (although I wish old Billy was back).

Before anyone calls me an entitled survivor main, I play both sides and have for almost 3 years now. There's a reason I will never touch Slinger, Hag or Spirit again and that's because they are brain-dead and cheap to win with.

  • Stridor Spirit is unfair and has no counterplay but if you're talking about just standing still, no she shouldn't be able to do that. Making a survivor dance in front of you by zoning with your presence is severely bad design.

  • Hail to the king baby, also happy to see best girl, Cheryl :D

Pretty sure it works the other way around, hence why so many survivors experience BS hits against high-ping killers

    This.

Exactly why VPNing killers get free hits at pallets and windows. I literally pallet stunned a VPNing Freddy when I had 50 ping yesterday and the stun animation happened while he was swinging and the hit registered after the stun animation was complete.

  • I hate Elodies and Megs. They are both usually useless teammates who are extremely dumb.

  • I play both sides and never used mories as killer. It doesn't affect me at all. I never used to buy them in the bloodweb and I still won't so it literally makes no difference. They were broken and now they are balanced and can still counter DS and Unbreakable on death hook.

  • I dislike them as well. They promote scummy gameplay with extreme slugging and mainly camping. Especially since I'm primarily a solo queue player, rank 1 Twins players usually camp a survivor on the hook with Victor in a hidden spot and then control Charlotte to pressure other survivors, as soon as they get killer instinct they switch back to victor and latch onto/down the would-be rescuer causing one survivor still on hook and the other unable to unhook since Victor is on them or they're downed. It's really unfair to solo queue players.

Not to mention how big Victors hitbox is. It doesn't matter if you dodge or not, 9 times out of 10, he'll still be able to pounce on you no matter what you do. What I do now is try to pallet stun victor but it doesn't matter since Charlotte gets him back way too quickly. If I crush Victor, why should he respawn that quickly? Really flawed killer who's in need of an overhaul to be honest.

  • For the People, I'm confident in my ability to loop the killer while I'm injured since DH and Iron Will are staples in my build so when a teammate goes down and the killer slugs for whatever reason, I give them one of my health states and then they're instantly up resulting in the killer losing all that pressure and then I can take chase.

  • I've been playing DBD for almost 3 years now and never ran DS for at least the first 2. After I switched from console to PC at the end of 2019, I keep it on all the time because of killers who intentionally tunnel when there is no reason to. I can loop the killer well so a lot of them get angry and tunnel me off hook just because they want me out of the game. I shouldn't have to run a perk because of the way some killers play but I do because it isn't fun being thrown on hook, farmed in solo queue, instantly downed and put back on hook.

Don't get me wrong, I play killer as well and being gen rushed also sucks and there are times where you need to tunnel but this discussion is about DS which I think is necessary for the game. We all know how it went when they introduced a killer who can tunnel for free.

  • Cheryl best girl, I agree

  • Swamp is a lame map anyways, always has been, Hope it gets reworked next or they disable it completely.
